ଫିଲିପ୍ପୀୟ 1
1 ପାଉଲ ଓ ତୀମଥି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ଦୁଇ ଦାସ, ଫିଲିପ୍ପୀରେ ଥିବା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଆଶ୍ରିତ ସମସ୍ତ ସାଧୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପୁଣି, ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଓ ସେବକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପତ୍ର;
Paul and Timothy, slaves of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons:
2 ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଓ ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ହେଉ।
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.
3 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେତେ ଥର ସ୍ମରଣ କରେ, ସେତେ ଥର ମୋହର ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଇଥାଏ।
I thank my God every time I remember you;
4 ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନଠାରୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସୁସମାଚାରର ପକ୍ଷରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତା ହେତୁ
in all my prayers for all of you I always pray with joy,
5 ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସର୍ବଦା ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ ସହ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଅଛି
because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now,
6 କାରଣ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ଉତ୍ତମ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହା ସାଧନ କରି ସିଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ, ଏହା ତ ମୁଁ ଦୃଢ଼ରୂପେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ;
being certain of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the Day of Jesus Christ;
7 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ମୋହର ଏପରି ଭାବିବା ଉଚିତ୍, ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ଯେପରି, ସୁସମାଚାର ପକ୍ଷ ସମର୍ଥନ ଓ ସେଥିର ସତ୍ୟ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବାରେ ସେହିପରି ମୋʼ ସହିତ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହର ସହଭାଗୀ ଅଟ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ହୃଦୟରେ ଧାରଣ କରିଅଛି।
just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the Gospel you all are partakers with me of the Grace.
8 କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସ୍ନେହପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଣାରେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ କି ପ୍ରକାର ଲାଳାୟିତ, ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବର ମୋହର ସାକ୍ଷୀ।
God is my witness how I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.
9 ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଏହି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରେମ, ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମ ବିଚାରରେ ଅଧିକରୁ ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉ,
This is what I pray: that your love may abound yet more and more in real knowledge and full discernment,
10 ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟ ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିପାର, ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ଓ ପ୍ରଶଂସା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଯେଉଁ ଫଳ,
for you to identify the things that really matter; that you may be sincere and blameless until the Day of Christ,
11 ସେଥିରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଦିନରେ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୁଅ।
having been filled with the fruits of righteousness that are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 ହେ ଭାଇମାନେ, ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ଯାହା ଯାହା ଘଟିଅଛି, ସେହିସବୁ ଯେ ବରଂ ସୁସମାଚାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ନିମନ୍ତେ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇବାକୁ ମୁଁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ;
Now I want you to know, brothers, that the events against me have actually turned out for the advancement of the Gospel:
13 ଯେଣୁ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ, ଏହା ରାଜପ୍ରାସାଦର ସମୁଦାୟ ସୈନ୍ୟଦଳ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେଲା;
as a result, it has become evident to the whole imperial guard, and to everyone else, that I am in chains for Christ;
14 ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଅଧିକାଂଶ ଭାଇମାନେ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରି ନିର୍ଭୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ କହିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅତି ଉତ୍ସୁକଭାବେ ସାହସୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
also, most of the brothers in Sovereign have been influenced by my chains to be much bolder, to speak the Word fearlessly.
15 କେହି କେହି ଈର୍ଷା ଓ ବିବାଦ ହେତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି ସତ୍ୟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଉ କେହି କେହି ସତ୍ ଭାବରେ ତାହା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି;
To be sure, some are even preaching Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of good will;
16 ମୁଁ ଯେ ସୁସମାଚାରର ପକ୍ଷ ସମର୍ଥନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ରହିଅଛି, ଏହା ଜାଣି ଏକ ପକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରେମ ହେତୁ ତାହା କରନ୍ତି,
the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, thinking to add to my affliction while in chains,
17 କିନ୍ତୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ପକ୍ଷ ମୋହର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ମୋତେ କ୍ଳେଶ ଦେବାକୁ ଭାବି ଅସରଳ ଭାବରେ ସ୍ୱାର୍ଥପରତା ସକାଶେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଚାର କରନ୍ତି।
but the latter out of love, knowing that I am set here for the defense of the Gospel.
18 ସେଥିରେ ବା କଅଣ? କପଟ ଭାବରେ ହେଉ ବା ସତ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ହେଉ, ଯେକୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରଚାରିତ ହେଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏଥିରେ ମୁଁ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଅଛି, ହଁ, ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବି।
No problem: in every way, be it in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice—yes, and will rejoice.
19 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିବେଦନ ଓ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏସବୁ ମୋହର ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଅନୁକୂଳ ହେବ,
You see, I know that this will turn out for my deliverance (through your supplication and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ)
20 ଏ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ମୋହର ଏକାନ୍ତ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା ଓ ଭରସା ଅଛି ଯେ ମୁଁ କୌଣସି ବିଷୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଯେଉଁପରି, ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ଅତି ସାହସରେ, ଜୀବନରେ ହେଉ ବା ମରଣରେ ହେଉ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ମୋହର ଶରୀରରେ ମହିମାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବି।
according to my earnest expectation and hope that I will not be put to shame in anything but be truly bold, so that now as always Christ will be glorified in my person, whether by life or by death
21 କାରଣ ମୋʼ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଜୀବନଧାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ପୁଣି, ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ ଲାଭଜନକ।
—to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
22 କିନ୍ତୁ ଶରୀରରେ ଜୀବନଧାରଣ ଯଦି ମୋʼ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଫଳପ୍ରଦ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାଧନ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ମୁଁ କଅଣ ପସନ୍ଦ କରିବି, ତାହା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ।
Now if I am to live on in the flesh it will mean fruitful labor for me, so I do not know what to choose.
23 ମୁଁ ଦୁଇଟି ବିଷୟ ଘେନି ମହା ସମସ୍ୟାରେ ପଡ଼ିଅଛି; ଇହଲୋକରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିବାକୁ ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା, କାରଣ ତାହା ଅତୀବ ଶ୍ରେୟସ୍କର;
I am torn between the two: I have the desire to depart and be with Christ (far better),
24 ମାତ୍ର ଶରୀରରେ ରହିବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଧିକ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।
but to remain in the flesh is more necessary, because of you.
25 ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଦୃଢ଼ରୂପେ ଏହା ଜାଣେ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ରହିବି, ହଁ, ବିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହିବି,
So having been persuaded of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,
26 ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମୋହର ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତି ହେତୁ ମୋʼ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦର୍ପ ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବ।
so that your rejoicing over me may be more abundant in Christ Jesus, through my coming to you again.
27 ମୋହର ଏହି ମାତ୍ର ଇଚ୍ଛା, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସୁସମାଚାରର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଜା ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଆଚରଣ କର, ଯେପରି ମୁଁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ଅବା ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତ ଥାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଜାଣି ପାରିବି ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏକ ଆତ୍ମାରେ ସ୍ଥିର ରହି ସୁସମାଚାରର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏକ ପ୍ରାଣରେ ଏକସଙ୍ଗରେ ଉଦ୍ୟମ କରୁଅଛ,
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear about you that you stand firm in one spirit, striving together for the faith of the Gospel with one soul,
28 ପୁଣି, କୌଣସି ବିଷୟରେ ବିପକ୍ଷମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତ୍ରାସଯୁକ୍ତ ନୁହଁ; ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ବିନାଶ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣର ଈଶ୍ବରଦତ୍ତ ଏକ ଲକ୍ଷଣ;
and not being intimidated in any way by your opponents: to them this is an indicator of ruin, but to you of deliverance, and that from God.
29 କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ କେବଳ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସକାଶେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ ମଧ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି;
For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe into Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
30 ଆଉ ମୋତେ ଯେପରି ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାର ଦେଖିଥିଲ, ପୁଣି, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି ଶୁଣୁଅଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେହିପରି ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରୁଅଛ।
having the same struggle that you saw in me and now hear to be in me.
