ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପୁସ୍ତକ 35
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋୟାବ-ପଦାରେ ଯିରୀହୋ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀ ସମୀପରେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And the Lord spak these thingis to Moises, in the feeldi places of Moab, aboue Jordan,
2 “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅଧିକୃତ ବାଣ୍ଟରୁ କେତେକ ବସତି-ନଗର ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ନଗରମାନର ତଳିଭୂମି ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେସବୁର ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ଭୂମି ଦେବ।
ayens Jericho, Comaunde thou to the sones of Israel, that thei yyue to dekenes of her possessiouns,
3 ତହିଁରେ ସେହି ସବୁ ନଗରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିବାସ ହେବ; ପୁଣି, ତହିଁର ତଳିଭୂମିସବୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପଶୁ, ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ ଜୀବମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ହେବ।
citees to dwelle, and the suburbabis of tho bi cumpas, that thei dwelle in `the citees, and the suburbabis be to beestis, and `werk beestis;
4 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ନଗର ଦେବ, ସେହିସବୁର ତଳିଭୂମି ନଗର-ପ୍ରାଚୀରଠାରୁ ବାହାରେ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଏକ ସହସ୍ର ହସ୍ତ ହେବ।
whiche suburbabis schulen be strecchid forth fro the wallis of citees with outforth `bi cumpas, in the space of a thousynde paacis;
5 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନଗରର ବାହାରେ ତହିଁର ପୂର୍ବ ସୀମା ଦୁଇ ସହସ୍ର ହସ୍ତ, ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ସୀମା ଦୁଇ ସହସ୍ର ହସ୍ତ, ପଶ୍ଚିମ ସୀମା ଦୁଇ ସହସ୍ର ହସ୍ତ ଓ ଉତ୍ତର ସୀମା ଦୁଇ ସହସ୍ର ହସ୍ତ ପରିମିତ କରିବ; ନଗର ତହିଁର ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳରେ ରହିବ। ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନଗରର ତଳିଭୂମି ହେବ।
ayens the eest schulen be two thousynde cubitis, and ayens the south in lijk manere schulen be two thousynde cubitis, and at the see that biholdith to the west schal be the same mesure, and the north coost schal be endid bi euene terme. And the citees schulen be in the myddis, and the suburbabis with outforth.
6 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ନଗର ଦେବ, ତହିଁରୁ ଛଅଗୋଟି ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ହେବ, ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ସେଠାକୁ ପଳାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହା ଦେବ; ଆଉ ତାହା ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଆହୁରି ବୟାଳିଶ ନଗର ଦେବ।
Forsothe of tho citees whiche ye schulen yyue to dekenes, sixe schulen be departid in to helpis of fugityues, `ether of fleynge men, that he that schedde blood, fle to tho; and outakun these sixe, ye schulen yyue to dekenes othere two and fourti citees,
7 ସର୍ବସୁଦ୍ଧା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଠଚାଳିଶ ନଗର ଦେବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଗର ସଙ୍ଗେ ତହିଁର ତଳିଭୂମି ଦେବ।
that is, togidere eiyte and fourti, with her surburbabis.
8 ପୁଣି, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାରରୁ ସେହି ସବୁ ନଗର ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ନେବ ଓ ଅଳ୍ପ ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଅଳ୍ପ ନେବ; ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ବଂଶ ଆପଣାର ଅଧିକୃତ ଅଧିକାରାନୁସାରେ ଆପଣା ନଗରମାନଙ୍କରୁ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବେ।”
And tho citees that schulen be youun of the possessiouns of sones of Israel, schulen be takun awey, mo fro hem that han more, and fewere `schulen be takun awey fro hem that han lesse, alle bi hem silf schulen yyue bi the mesure of her eritage, citees to dekenes.
9 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
The Lord seide to Moises,
10 “ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ପାର ହୋଇ କିଣାନ ଦେଶରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ,
Spek thou to the sones of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, Whanne ye han passid Jordan, in the lond of Canaan,
11 ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କେତେଗୁଡ଼ିଏ ନଗର ନିରୂପଣ କରିବ, ତହିଁରେ ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତିରେ କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ବଧ କରେ, ଏପରି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ସେଠାକୁ ପଳାଇ ଯାଇ ପାରିବ।
deme ye whiche citees owen to be in to the helpis of fugityues, whiche not wilfuli han sched blood.
12 ପୁଣି, ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଯେପରି ନ ମରେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେହି ନଗରମାନ ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତାଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆଶ୍ରୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ହେବ;
In whiche whanne the fleere hath fled, the kynesman of hym that is slayn, schal not mow sle hym, til he stonde in the siyt of the multitude, and the cause of hym be demed.
13 ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ନଗର ଦେବ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛଅ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ହେବ।
Forsothe of tho citees that ben departid to the helpis of fugityues,
14 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନର ପୂର୍ବପାରିରେ ତିନି ନଗର ଦେବ ଓ କିଣାନ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତିନି ନଗର ଦେବ; ତାହାସବୁ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର ହେବ।
thre schulen be ouer Jordan, and thre in the lond of Canaan;
15 ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିଦେଶୀ ଓ ପ୍ରବାସୀ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେହି ଛଅ ନଗର ଆଶ୍ରୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ହେବ; ତହିଁରେ ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜନ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତିରେ କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ବଧ କରେ, ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପଳାଇ ଯାଇପାରେ।
as wel to the sones of Israel as to comelyngis and pilgryms; that he fle to tho citees, that schedde blood not wilfuli.
16 ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି କେହି ଲୌହ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ଦ୍ୱାରା କାହାରିକୁ ଏପରି ଆଘାତ କରେ ଯେ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ; ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ହେବ।
If ony man smytith a man with yrun, and he that is smytun is deed, `the smyter schal be gilti of mansleyng, and he schal die.
17 ଆଉ ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମରିପାରେ, ଏପରି ପଥର ହସ୍ତରେ ନେଇ ଯଦି ସେ କାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କରେ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ; ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ହେବ।
If he castith a stoon, and a man is deed bi the strook, he schal be punyschid in lijk maner.
18 ଅବା ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମରିପାରେ, ଏପରି କୌଣସି କାଷ୍ଠ-ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ହସ୍ତରେ ନେଇ ଯଦି ସେ କାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କରେ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ; ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ହେବ।
If a man smytun with a staf dieth, he schal be vengid bi `the blood of the smytere.
19 ରକ୍ତର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତା ନିଜେ ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀକୁ ବଧ କରିବ; ସେ ତାହାର ଦେଖା ପାଇଲେ ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବ।
The niy kynesman of hym that is slayn schal sle the mansleere; anoon as he takith hym, `that is, the manquellere, he schal sle hym.
20 ଆଉ ଯଦି ହିଂସା କରି କେହି କାହାକୁ ଧକ୍କା ମାରେ, ଅବା ଛକି ବସି ତାହା ଉପରେ କିଛି ପକାଏ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ;
If bi haterede a man hurtlith, `ethir schoufith, `a man, ethir castith ony thing in to hym bi aspiyngis,
21 କିଅବା ଶତ୍ରୁତା କରି ଯଦି ସେ କାହାକୁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ଆଘାତ କରେ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ, ତେବେ ଯେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କଲା, ତାହାର ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ହେବ; ସେ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ରକ୍ତର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତା ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ଦେଖା ପାଇଲେ ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବ।
ether whanne he was enemy, smoot with hond, and he is deed, the smytere schal be gilti of mansleyng. The kynesman `of him that is slayn, anoon as he findith him, `that is, the sleere, schal sle hym.
22 ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି କେହି ଶତ୍ରୁତା ବିନା ହଠାତ୍ କାହାକୁ ଆଘାତ କରେ, ଅବା ଛକି ନ ବସି କାହା ଉପରେ କୌଣସି ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ପକାଏ,
That if bi sudeyn caas, and without hatrede and enemytees,
23 କିଅବା ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମରିପାରେ, ଏପରି କୌଣସି ପଥର କାହାରି ଉପରେ ନ ଦେଖି ପକାଏ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ମରେ, ଅଥଚ ସେ ତାହାର ଶତ୍ରୁ କି ଅନିଷ୍ଟ ଚେଷ୍ଟାକାରୀ ହୋଇ ନ ଥାଏ,
he doith ony thing of these;
24 ତେବେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସେହି ବଧକାରୀର ଓ ରକ୍ତର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତାର ବିଷୟ ଏହି ଶାସନାନୁସାରେ ବିଚାର କରିବେ।
and this is preued in heryng `of the puple, and the questioun of blood is discussid bitwixe the smytere and the kynesman,
25 ଆଉ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ରକ୍ତର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତାର ହସ୍ତରୁ ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବେ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ପଳାଇ ଯାଇଥିଲା, ସେହି ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗରରେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହାକୁ ପହୁଞ୍ଚାଇ ଦେବେ ଓ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପବିତ୍ର ତୈଳରେ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତ ମହାଯାଜକର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ନ ହୁଏ, ସେ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବାସ କରିବ।
the innocent schal be delyuered fro the hond of the vengere, and bi sentence of iugis he schal be led ayen in to the citee, to which he fledde, and he schal dwelle there, til the grete preest die, which is anoyntid with oile.
26 ମାତ୍ର ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ଯେଉଁ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗରକୁ ପଳାଇଅଛି, ଯଦି କୌଣସି ସମୟରେ ସେ ତହିଁର ସୀମାର ବାହାରକୁ ଯାଏ
If the sleere is foundun with out the coostis `of the citees that ben asigned to exilid men,
27 ଓ ରକ୍ତର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତା ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗର-ସୀମାର ବାହାରେ ତାହାକୁ ପାଏ ଓ ତହିଁର ପ୍ରତିହନ୍ତା ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ରକ୍ତପାତର ଅପରାଧୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
and is slayn of him that is vengere, he that sleeth him, `that is, the exilid man, schal be with out gilt;
28 କାରଣ ମହାଯାଜକର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣା ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗରରେ ତାହାର ଥିବା ଉଚିତ; ମାତ୍ର ମହାଯାଜକର ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ଆପଣା ଅଧିକାର ଗୃହକୁ ଫେରିଯାଇ ପାରିବ।
for the exilid man ouyte sitte in the citee `til to the `deth of the bischop; forsothe aftir that thilke bischop is deed, the mansleere schal turne ayen in to his lond.
29 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ସକଳ ନିବାସ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଏହିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଚାରର ବିଧି ହେବ।
These schulen be euerlastynge and lawful thingis in alle youre dwellyngis.
30 ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି କୌଣସି ଲୋକକୁ ବଧ କରେ, ସେହି ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ସାକ୍ଷୀମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ହତ ହେବ; ମାତ୍ର ଏକ ସାକ୍ଷୀର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
A mansleere schal be punyschid vndur witnessis; no man schal `be dampned at the witnessyng of o man.
31 ଆହୁରି ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନରହତ୍ୟାକାରୀର ପ୍ରାଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ହତ ହେବ।
Ye schulen not take prijs of him which is gilti of blood, anoon and he schal die.
32 ପୁଣି, କେହି ଯେପରି ଆପଣା ଆଶ୍ରୟ ନଗରକୁ ପଳାଇ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆପଣା ଦେଶକୁ ଆସି ବାସ କରେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାଜକର ମରଣ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହା ନିମନ୍ତେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Men exilid, and fugityues, schulen not mow turne ayen in ony maner in to her citees, bifore the deeth of the bischop, lest ye defoulen the lond of youre abitacioun,
33 ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ନିବାସ ଦେଶ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ରକ୍ତ ହିଁ ଦେଶକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରେ; ଆଉ ଦେଶରେ ଯେଉଁ ରକ୍ତପାତ ହୁଏ, ରକ୍ତପାତୀର ରକ୍ତ ବିନା ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ କରାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ।
which is defoulid bi the blood of innocent men; and it may not be clensid in other maner, no but bi the blood of hym, that schedde the blood of anothir man.
34 ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ନିବାସ ଦେଶରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଅଶୁଚି କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କରୁଅଛୁ।’”
And so youre possessioun schal be clensid, for Y schal dwelle with you; for Y am the Lord, that dwelle among the sones of Israel.
