ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପୁସ୍ତକ 27
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ମନଃଶି ବଂଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ମନଃଶିର ବୃଦ୍ଧ ପ୍ରପୌତ୍ର, ମାଖୀରର ପ୍ରପୌତ୍ର, ଗିଲୀୟଦର ପୌତ୍ର, ହେଫରର ପୁତ୍ର ଯେ ସଲଫାଦ; ତାହାର କନ୍ୟାଗଣ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ; ତାହାର କନ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ଏହି, ମହଲା, ନୋୟା, ହଗ୍ଲା, ମିଲ୍କା ଓ ତିର୍ସା।
The daughters of Zelophehad came to present their case. Their father Zelophehad was the son of Hepher, son of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh, and was from the tribe of Manasseh, son of Joseph. The names of his daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. They came
2 ଏମାନେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଓ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ, ପୁଣି, ଅଧିପତିଗଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସମାଗମ-ତମ୍ବୁ ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ,
and stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders, and all the Israelites at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. They said,
3 “ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ମଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁ କୋରହର ଦଳ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହି ଦଳ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେ ନ ଥିଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ମଲେ; ଆଉ ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥିଲା।
“Our father died in the desert, but he wasn't one of Korah's followers who joined together to rebel against the Lord. No, he died from his own sins, and he didn't have any sons.
4 ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥିବା ସକାଶୁ କାହିଁକି ତାଙ୍କର ନାମ ତାଙ୍କ ବଂଶରୁ ଲୋପ ପାଇବ? ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃବଂଶୀୟ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକାର ଦିଅ।”
Why should our family name be lost simply because he didn't have a son? Give us land to own alongside our uncles.”
5 ଏଥିରେ ମୋଶା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ।
Moses took their case before the Lord.
6 ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
The Lord gave him this answer,
7 “ସଲଫାଦର କନ୍ୟାଗଣ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃବଂଶୀୟ ଭ୍ରାତୃଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୈତୃକ ଅଧିକାର ଦେବ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୈତୃକ ଅଧିକାର ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ।
“What the daughters of Zelophehad are saying is right. You really must give them land to own alongside their uncles—give to them what would have been allocated to their father.
8 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମଲେ ଯଦି ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ତାହାର କନ୍ୟାକୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ।
In addition, tell the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and doesn't have a no son, give his property to his daughter.
9 ଯଦି ତାହାର କନ୍ୟା ନ ଥାଏ, ଯଦି ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ତାହାର ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବ।
If he doesn't have a daughter, give his property to his brothers.
10 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି ତାହାର ଭାଇ ନ ଥାଏ, ଯଦି ତାହାର ପିତୃବ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାର ଅଧିକାର ଦେବ।
If he doesn't have brothers, give his property to his father's brothers.
11 ଆଉ ଯଦି ତାହାର ପିତୃବ୍ୟ ନ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତାହାର ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଜ୍ଞାତିକୁ ତାହା ଅଧିକାର ଦେବ ଓ ସେ ତାହା ଅଧିକାର କରିବ; ମୋଶା ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ଏହା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ବିଚାର-ବିଧି ହେବ।’”
If his father doesn't have brothers, give his property his family's next of kin so that they can own it. This is a legal regulation for the Israelites, given as an order by the Lord to Moses.’”
12 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଅବାରୀମ୍ ପର୍ବତ ଆରୋହଣ କର, ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେଇଅଛୁ, ତାହା ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କର।
The Lord told Moses, “Go up into the Abarim mountains so you can see the land that I have given the Israelites.
13 ତାହା ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭ୍ରାତା ହାରୋଣ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଗଣ ନିକଟରେ ସଂଗୃହୀତ ହେବ।
After you have seen it, you will also join your forefathers in death, just as your brother Aaron did,
14 ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସୀନ୍ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ବିବାଦରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ଜଳ ନିକଟରେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ପବିତ୍ର ରୂପେ ମାନ୍ୟ କରିବା ବିଷୟକ ଆମ୍ଭ ଆଜ୍ଞାର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧାଚରଣ କଲ।” (ସେହି ଜଳ ସୀନ୍ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରର କାଦେଶସ୍ଥ ମିରୀବାଃ ଜଳ।)
because when the Israelites complained in the Desert of Zin, you both rebelled against my instructions to show my holiness before them in regard to providing water.” (These were the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)
15 ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
Then Moses pleaded with the Lord,
16 “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସର୍ବଶରୀରସ୍ଥ ଆତ୍ମାଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଉପରେ ଏକ ଜଣ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତୁ,
“May the Lord, the God who gives life to all living beings, choose a man to lead the Israelites
17 ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଗ୍ରଗାମୀ ହୋଇ ବାହାରକୁ ଯାଇ ପାରିବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଗ୍ରଗାମୀ ହୋଇ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସିପାରିବ, ପୁଣି, ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପଥପ୍ରଦର୍ଶକ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାରକୁ ନେଇ ପାରିବ ଓ ଭିତରକୁ ଆଣି ପାରିବ; ତାହା କଲେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ପାଳକବିହୀନ ମେଷପଲ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।”
who will tell them what to do and show them where to go, so that the people of the Lord won't be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18 ତହୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟକୁ ନିଅ, ସେହି ଲୋକଠାରେ ଆତ୍ମା ଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କର;
The Lord told Moses, “Call for Joshua, son of Nun, a man who has the Spirit in him, and place your hands on him.
19 ଆଉ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତାହାକୁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦିଅ।
Make him stand in front of Eleazar the priest and all the Israelites, and dedicate him while they watch.
20 ଆହୁରି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଯେପରି ତାହାର ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହେବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସମ୍ଭ୍ରମ ତାହା ଉପରେ ଅର୍ପଣ କର।
Hand over some of your authority to him so that all the Israelites will obey him.
21 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହେବ ଓ ଇଲୀୟାସର ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଊରୀମ୍ର ବିଚାର ଦ୍ୱାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ପଚାରିବ; ସେମାନେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସେ ଓ ତାହା ସହିତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସମୁଦାୟ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ, ଉଭୟ ତାହାର ଆଜ୍ଞାରେ ବାହାରକୁ ଯିବେ ଓ ତାହାର ଆଜ୍ଞାରେ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସିବେ।”
When he needs instructions he is to go before Eleazar the priest who will ask the Lord on his behalf and find out the decision using the Urim. Joshua will give orders to all the Israelites concerning everything they are to do.”
22 ଏଥିରେ ମୋଶା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କଲେ; ସେ ଯିହୋଶୂୟଙ୍କୁ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ।
Moses followed the Lord's instructions. He had Joshua come and stand in front of Eleazar the priest and all the Israelites.
23 ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଯେରୂପ କହିଥିଲେ, ସେରୂପ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ।
Moses placed his hands on Joshua and dedicated him, just as the Lord had told him to do.
