1 ସେହି ମାରୀ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକକୁ, କହିଲେ,
After the plague was over, the Lord told Moses and Eleazar son of Aaron the priest,
2 “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସମସ୍ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପିତୃଗୃହାନୁସାରେ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ଓ ତହିଁରୁ ଅଧିକ ବୟସ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସୈନ୍ୟଶ୍ରେଣୀଭୁକ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଗଣନା କର।”
“Census all the Israelites by family—all those twenty years of age or older who are eligible for military service in the army of Israel.”
3 ତହିଁରେ ମୋଶା ଓ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ଯିରୀହୋର ନିକଟସ୍ଥିତ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ସମୀପରେ ମୋୟାବ-ପଦାରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥା କହିଲେ,
There on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho, Moses and Eleazar the priest gave the order,
4 “ମୋଶା ପ୍ରତି ଓ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବହିର୍ଗତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ, କୋଡ଼ିଏ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କ ଅବଧି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକର ଗଣନା କର।”
“Census the men twenty years of age or older, following the instructions the Lord gave to Moses.” The following is the genealogical record of those who left the land of Egypt.
5 ରୁବେନ୍, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ର; ରୁବେନ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ ହନୋକଠାରୁ ହନୋକୀୟ ବଂଶ; ପଲ୍ଲୁଠାରୁ ପଲ୍ଲୁୟୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Reuben, Israel's firstborn: Hanoch, ancestor of the Hanochite family; Pallu, ancestor of the Palluite family;
6 ହିଷ୍ରୋଣଠାରୁ ହିଷ୍ରୋଣୀୟ ବଂଶ; କର୍ମ୍ମିଠାରୁ କର୍ମିୟ ବଂଶ।
Hezron, ancestor of the Hezronite family; and Carmi, ancestor of the Carmite family.
7 ଏମାନେ ରୁବେନ୍ର ବଂଶ; ପୁଣି, ଏମାନେ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ତେୟାଳିଶ ହଜାର ସାତ ଶହ ତିରିଶ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Reuben and they numbered 43,730.
8 ପଲ୍ଲୁର ସନ୍ତାନ ଇଲୀୟାବ୍।
Pallu's son was Eliab,
9 ସେହି ଇଲୀୟାବ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ ନମୂୟେଲ, ଦାଥନ ଓ ଅବୀରାମ; କୋରହର ଦଳୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ବିବାଦ କଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ଆହୂତ ଲୋକ ଯେ ଦାଥନ ଓ ଅବୀରାମ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଓ ହାରୋଣଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିବାଦ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣ।
and Eliab's sons were Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. (It was Dathan and Abiram, leaders chosen by the Israelites, who joined the rebellion against Moses and Aaron with the followers of Korah when they rebelled against the Lord.
10 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ପୃଥିବୀ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ମେଲାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ କୋରହକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା, ତହିଁରେ ସେହି ଦଳ ନଷ୍ଟ ହେଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଅଗ୍ନି ଦୁଇ ଶହ ପଚାଶ ଜଣକୁ ଦଗ୍ଧ କଲା, ସେମାନେ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେଲେ।
The earth opened up and swallowed them down, along with Korah. His followers died when the fire burned up 250 men. What happened to them was a warning to the Israelites.

But Korah's sons didn't die.)
12 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଶିମୀୟୋନର ସନ୍ତାନ; ନମୂୟେଲଠାରୁ ନମୂୟେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଯାମୀନ୍ଠାରୁ ଯାମୀନୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଯାଖୀନ୍ଠାରୁ ଯାଖୀନୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Simeon by family: Nemuel, ancestor of the Nemuelite family; Jamin, ancestor of the Jaminite family; Jachin, ancestor of the Jachinite family;
13 ସେରହଠାରୁ ସେରହୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଶୌଲଠାରୁ ଶୌଲୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Zerah, ancestor of the Zerahite family; and Shaul, ancestor of the Shaulite family.
14 ଶିମୀୟୋନୀୟ ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ବାଇଶ ହଜାର ଦୁଇ ଶହ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ।
These were the families descended from Simeon and they numbered 22,200.
15 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଗାଦ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ; ସିଫୋନଠାରୁ ସିଫୋନୀୟ ବଂଶ; ହଗିଠାରୁ ହଗୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଶୂନୀଠାରୁ ଶୂନୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Gad by family: Zephon, ancestor of the Zephonite family; Haggi, ancestor of the Haggite family; Shuni, ancestor of the Shunite family;
16 ଓଷ୍ଣିଠାରୁ ଓଷ୍ଣୀୟ ବଂଶ, ଏରିଠାରୁ ଏରୀୟ ବଂଶ;
Ozni, ancestor of the Oznite family; Eri, ancestor of the Erite family;
17 ଅରୋଦିଠାରୁ ଅରୋଦୀୟ ବଂଶ, ଅରେଲୀଠାରୁ ଅରେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Arod, ancestor of the Arodite family; Areli, ancestor of the Arelite family.
18 ଗାଦ୍ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କର ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ଚାଳିଶ ହଜାର ପାଞ୍ଚ ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Gad and they numbered 40,500.
19 ଯିହୁଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ଏର ଓ ଓନନ୍; ସେହି ଏର ଓ ଓନନ୍ କିଣାନ ଦେଶରେ ମରିଥିଲେ।
The sons of Judah who died in Canaan were Er and Onan. These were the descendants of Judah by family:
20 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ସନ୍ତାନ; ଶେଲାଠାରୁ ଶେଲାୟୀୟ ବଂଶ; ପେରସଠାରୁ ପେରସୀୟ ବଂଶ; ସେରହଠାରୁ ସେରହୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Shelah, ancestor of the Shelanite family; Perez, ancestor of the Perezite family; Zerah, ancestor of the Zerahite family.
21 ପୁଣି, ପେରସର ଏହି ସକଳ ସନ୍ତାନ ହିଷ୍ରୋଣଠାରୁ ହିଷ୍ରୋଣୀୟ ବଂଶ; ହାମୂଲଠାରୁ ହାମୂଲୀୟ ବଂଶ।
These were the descendants of Perez: Hezron, ancestor of the Hezronite family; and Hamul, ancestor of the Hamulite family.
22 ଯିହୁଦାର ଏହିସବୁ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ଛସ୍ତରି ହଜାର ପାଞ୍ଚ ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Judah and they numbered 76,500.
23 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଇଷାଖରର ସନ୍ତାନ; ତୋଲୟଠାରୁ ତୋଲୟୀୟ ବଂଶ; ପୂୟଠାରୁ ପୂୟୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Issachar by family: Tola, ancestor of the Tolaite family; Puvah, ancestor of the Punite family;
24 ଯାଶୂବଠାରୁ ଯାଶୂବୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଶିମ୍ରୋଣଠାରୁ ଶିମ୍ରୋଣୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Jashub, ancestor of the Jashubite family; and Shimron, ancestor of the Shimronite family.
25 ଇଷାଖରର ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ଚଉଷଠି ହଜାର ତିନି ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Isaachar and they numbered 64,300.
26 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ସବୂଲୂନର ସନ୍ତାନ; ସେରଦଠାରୁ ସେରଦୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଏଲୋନ୍ଠାରୁ ଏଲୋନୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଯହଲେଲଠାରୁ ଯହଲେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ।
These were the descendants of Zebulun by family: Sered, ancestor of the Seredite family; Elon, ancestor of the Elonite family; and Jahleel, ancestor of the Jahleelite family.
27 ସବୂଲୂନର ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ଷାଠିଏ ହଜାର ପାଞ୍ଚ ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Zebulun, and they numbered 60, 500.
28 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ମନଃଶି ଓ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ।
These were descendants of Joseph by family through Manasseh and Ephraim:
29 ମନଃଶିର ସନ୍ତାନ; ମାଖୀରଠାରୁ ମାଖରୀୟ ବଂଶ; ସେହି ମାଖୀରର ପୁତ୍ର ଗିଲୀୟଦ; ସେହି ଗିଲୀୟଦଠାରୁ ଗିଲୀୟଦୀୟ ବଂଶ।
The descendants of Manasseh: Machir (he was the father of Gilead), ancestor of the Machirite family; and Gilead, ancestor of the Gileadite family.
30 ଗିଲୀୟଦର ସନ୍ତାନ ଏମାନେ; ଈୟେଷରଠାରୁ ଈୟେଷ୍ରୀୟ ବଂଶ; ହେଲକଠାରୁ ହେଲକୀୟ ବଂଶ,
The descendants of Gilead: Izer, ancestor of the Iezerite family; Helek, ancestor of the Helekite family;
31 ଅସ୍ରୀୟେଲଠାରୁ ଅସ୍ରୀୟେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ ଓ ଶେଖମଠାରୁ ଶେଖମୀୟ ବଂଶ,
Asriel, ancestor of the Asrielite family; Shechem, ancestor of the Shechemite family;
32 ଶମୀଦାଠାରୁ ଶମୀଦାୟୀୟ ବଂଶ ଓ ହେଫରଠାରୁ ହେଫରୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Shemida, ancestor of the Shemidaite family; and Hepher, ancestor of the Hepherite family.
33 ସେହି ହେଫରର ପୁତ୍ର ଯେ ସଲଫାଦ, ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥିଲା, କେବଳ କନ୍ୟା ଥିଲା; ସେହି ସଲଫାଦର କନ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ ମହଲା, ନୋୟା, ହଗ୍ଲା, ମିଲ୍କା ଓ ତିର୍ସା।
(Zelophehad, son of Hepher, didn't have any sons, only daughters. Their names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.)
34 ଏମାନେ ମନଃଶିର ବଂଶ, ଏମାନଙ୍କର ଗଣିତ ଲୋକ ବାବନ ହଜାର ସାତ ଶହ ଜଣ।
These were the families descended from Manasseh, and they numbered 52,700.
35 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମର ସନ୍ତାନ; ଶୂଥେଲହଠାରୁ ଶୂଥଲହୀୟ ବଂଶ; ବେଖରଠାରୁ ବେଖ୍ରୀୟ ବଂଶ; ତହନଠାରୁ ତହନୀୟ ବଂଶ।
These were the descendants of Ephraim by family: Shuthelah, ancestor of the Shuthelahite family; Becher, ancestor of the Becherite family; and Tahan, ancestor of the Tahanite family.
36 ପୁଣି, ଶୂଥେଲହର ସନ୍ତାନ ଏମାନେ; ଏରଣଠାରୁ ଏରଣୀୟ ବଂଶ।
The descendant of Shuthelah was Eran, ancestor of the Eranite family.
37 ଇଫ୍ରୟିମର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ବତିଶ ହଜାର ପାଞ୍ଚ ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ; ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏମାନେ ଯୋଷେଫର ସନ୍ତାନ।
These were the families descended from Ephraim, and they numbered 32,500. These families were the descendants of Joseph.
38 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ; ବେଲାଠାରୁ ବେଲାୟୀୟ ବଂଶ: ଅସ୍ବେଲଠାରୁ ଅସ୍ବେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଅହୀରାମଠାରୁ ଅହୀରାମୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Benjamin by family: Bela, ancestor of the Belaite family; Ashbel, ancestor of the Ashbelite family; Ahiram, ancestor of the Ahiramite family;
39 ଶୂଫମଠାରୁ ଶୂଫମୀୟ ବଂଶ; ହୂଫମଠାରୁ ହୂଫମୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Shupham, ancestor of the Shuphamite family; and Hupham, ancestor of the Huphamite family.
40 ପୁଣି, ବେଲାର ସନ୍ତାନ ଅର୍ଦ ଓ ନାମାନ୍; ଅର୍ଦଠାରୁ ଅର୍ଦୀୟ ବଂଶ; ନାମାନ୍ଠାରୁ ନାମାନୀୟ ବଂଶ।
The descendants of Bela were Ard, ancestor of the Ardite family; and Naaman, ancestor of the Naamite family.
41 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏମାନେ ବିନ୍ୟାମୀନ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନ। ଏମାନଙ୍କର ଗଣିତ ଲୋକ ପଞ୍ଚଚାଳିଶ ହଜାର ଛଅ ଶହ ଜଣ।
These were the families descended from Benjamin, and they numbered 45,600.
42 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏମାନେ ଦାନର ସନ୍ତାନ; ଶୂହମଠାରୁ ଶୂହମୀୟ ବଂଶ। ଏମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଦାନ୍ର ବଂଶ।
These were the descendants of Dan by family: Shuham, ancestor of the Shuhamite families.
43 ଶୂହମୀୟ ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ଚଉଷଠି ହଜାର ଚାରି ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
They were all Shuhamite families, and they numbered 64,400.
44 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଆଶେରର ସନ୍ତାନ; ଯିମ୍ନାଠାରୁ ଯିମ୍ନୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଯିଶ୍ବିଠାରୁ ଯିଶ୍ବିୟ ବଂଶ; ବରୀୟଠାରୁ ବରୀୟୀୟ ବଂଶ।
These were the descendants of Asher by family: Imnah, ancestor of the Imnite family; Ishvi, ancestor of the Ishvite family; and Beriah, ancestor of the Beriite family.
45 ବରୀୟର ସନ୍ତାନ ଏମାନେ; ହେବରଠାରୁ ହେବରୀୟ ବଂଶ; ମଲ୍କୀୟେଲଠାରୁ ମଲ୍କୀୟେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ।
The descendants of Beriah were Heber, ancestor of the Heberite family; and Malchiel, ancestor of the Malchielite family.
46 ଆଶେରର କନ୍ୟାର ନାମ ସେରହ।
The name of Asher's daughter was Serah.
47 ଆଶେରର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ଏହି ସକଳ ବଂଶ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ; ତେପନ ହଜାର ଚାରି ଶହ ଲୋକ ହେଲେ।
These were the families descended from Asher, and they numbered 53,400.
48 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ନପ୍ତାଲିର ସନ୍ତାନ; ଯହସୀୟେଲଠାରୁ ଯହସୀୟେଲୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଗୂନିଠାରୁ ଗୂନୀୟ ବଂଶ;
These were the descendants of Naphtali by family: Jahzeel, ancestor of the Jahzeelite family; Guni, ancestor of the Gunite family;
49 ଯେତ୍ସରଠାରୁ ଯେତ୍ସରୀୟ ବଂଶ; ଶିଲ୍ଲେମଠାରୁ ଶିଲ୍ଲେମୀୟ ବଂଶ।
Jezer, ancestor of the Jezerite family; and Shillem, ancestor of the Sheillemite family.
50 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏହି ସକଳ ନପ୍ତାଲିର ବଂଶ। ଏମାନଙ୍କର ଗଣିତ ଲୋକ ପଞ୍ଚଚାଳିଶ ହଜାର ଚାରି ଶହ ଜଣ।
These were the families descended from Naphtali, and they numbered 45,400.
51 ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗଣିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ସଂଖ୍ୟା ଛଅ ଲକ୍ଷ ଏକ ହଜାର ସାତ ଶହ ତିରିଶ ଥିଲା।
The total of all those counted was 601,730.
52 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
The Lord told Moses,
53 “ନାମ-ସଂଖ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ଅଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦେଶ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହେବ।
“Divide the land that is to be owned based on the number of those censused.
54 ଯାହାର ଲୋକ ବହୁତ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ବହୁତ ଅଧିକାର ଦେବ, ପୁଣି, ଯାହାର ଲୋକ ଅଳ୍ପ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଅଳ୍ପ ଅଧିକାର ଦେବ, ଯାହାର ଯେତେ ଗଣିତ ଲୋକ, ତାହାକୁ ସେତେ ଅଧିକାର ଦିଆଯିବ।
Give a larger area of land to large tribe, and a smaller area to a smaller tribe. Each tribe shall receive their allotment of land depending on their number counted in the census.
55 ତଥାପି ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦେଶ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହେବ; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପିତୃବଂଶ ନାମାନୁସାରେ ଅଧିକାର ପାଇବେ।
The land has to be divided up by casting lots. Everyone shall receive their allotted land based on the name of their ancestor's tribe.
56 ବହୁତ ଓ ଅଳ୍ପ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗୁଲିବାଣ୍ଟ ଅନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାର ବିଭକ୍ତ ହେବ।”
Every allocation of land is to be divided by casting lots among the tribes, whether large or small.”
57 ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବଂଶାନୁସାରେ ଏମାନେ ଲେବୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗଣିତ ହେଲେ; ଗେର୍ଶୋନଠାରୁ ଗେର୍ଶୋନୀୟ ବଂଶ; କହାତଠାରୁ କହାତୀୟ ବଂଶ; ମରାରିଠାରୁ ମରାରୀୟ ବଂଶ।
These were the Levites censused by family: Gershon, ancestor of the Gershonite family; Kohath, ancestor of the Kohathite family; and Merari, ancestor of the Merarite family.
58 ଲେବୀୟ ବଂଶ ଏହି; ଲିବ୍ନୀୟ ବଂଶ, ହିବ୍ରୋଣୀୟ ବଂଶ, ମହଲୀୟ ବଂଶ, ମୂଶୀୟ ବଂଶ, କୋରହୀ ବଂଶ।
The following were the families of the Levites: the Libnite family, the Hebronite family, the Mahlite family, the Mushite family, and the Korahite family. Kohath was the father of Amram,
59 ସେହି କହାତର ପୁତ୍ର ଅମ୍ରାମ୍; ସେହି ଅମ୍ରମର ଯୋକେବଦ ନାମ୍ନୀ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ଲେବୀର ଔରସଜାତା କନ୍ୟା ଥିଲା। ସେ ଅମ୍ରମର ଔରସରେ ହାରୋଣ, ମୋଶା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭଗିନୀ ମରୀୟମଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରସବ କଲା।
and the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed. She was a descendant of Levi, born while the Levites were in Egypt. She had children with Amram: Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.

61 ମାତ୍ର ନାଦବ୍ ଓ ଅବୀହୂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଇତର ଅଗ୍ନି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରନ୍ତେ ମଲେ।

62 ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ମାସରୁ ଅଧିକ ବୟସ୍କ ଲୋକ ଗଣାଯାʼନ୍ତେ, ତେଇଶ ହଜାର ଜଣ ହେଲେ; କାରଣ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ଅଧିକାର ଦତ୍ତ ନୋହିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗଣିତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
The number of the Levites censused totaled 23,000. This included every male one month old or older. However, they were not counted with the other Israelites, because no land allotment was given to them with the other Israelites.
63 ଯିରୀହୋ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ସମୀପରେ ମୋୟାବ-ପଦାରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ଗଣନାକାରୀ ମୋଶା ଓ ଇଲୀୟାସର ଯାଜକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏସମସ୍ତେ ଗଣାଗଲେ।
This is the record of those were censused by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan opposite Jericho.
64 ମାତ୍ର ସୀନୟ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କର ଗଣନାକାରୀ ମୋଶା ଓ ହାରୋଣ ଯାଜକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଗଣିତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଏମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନ ଥିଲା।

65 କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ, “ସେମାନେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଏହି ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ମରିବେ; ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯିଫୁନ୍ନିର ପୁତ୍ର କାଲେବ ଓ ନୂନର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୋଶୂୟ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଏକ ଜଣ ହିଁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଲା ନାହିଁ।”
because the Lord had told them that they would all die in the desert. No one was left except Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, son of Nun.
