ମାଥିଉ 1
1 ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଓ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ବଂଶାବଳୀ।
The genealogy of Jesus Christ, son of David, son of Abraham.
2 ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଇସ୍ହାକ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଯାକୁବ, ଯିହୂଦା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brothers.
3 ଯିହୂଦା ତାମରଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ପେରସ ଓ ସେରହଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ପେରସ ହିଷ୍ରୋଣଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
And Judah begat Pharez and Zarah, by Tamar. And Pharez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram;
4 ହିଷ୍ରୋଣ ଅରାମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଅରାମ ଅମ୍ମୀନାଦବଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଅମ୍ମୀନାଦାବ ନହଶୋନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ନହଶୋନ ସଲମୋନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;
5 ସଲମୋନ ରାହାବଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ବୋୟଜଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ବୋୟଜ ରୂତଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଓବେଦଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଓବେଦ ଯିଶୀଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Salmon begat Boaz by Rahab. And Boaz begat Obed by Ruth. And Obed begat Jesse;
6 ଯିଶୀ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ। ଦାଉଦ ଉରୀୟଙ୍କ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon by the wife of Uriah.
7 ଶଲୋମନ ରିହବୀୟାମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ରିହବୀୟାମ ଅବୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
And Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;
8 ଅବୀୟ ଆସାଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଆସା ଯିହୋଶାଫଟଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଯିହୋଶାଫଟ ଯୋରାମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଯୋରାମ ଉଜୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;
9 ଉଜୀୟ ଯୋଥମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଯୋଥମ ଆହସ୍ଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଆହସ୍ ହିଜକୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;
10 ହିଜକୀୟ ମନଃଶିଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ମନଃଶି ଆମୋନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଆମୋନ ଯୋଶୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;
11 ବାବିଲକୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ଯୋଶୀୟ ଯିକନୀୟ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ।
and Josiah begat Jeconiah and his brothers, at the time of the removal to Babylon.
12 ବାବିଲକୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହେବା ପରେ ଯିକନୀୟ ଶଲ୍ଟୀୟେଲଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଶଲ୍ଟୀୟେଲ୍ ଜିରୁବାବିଲଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
And after the removal to Babylon, Jeconiah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
13 ଜିରୁବାବିଲ ଅବୀହୁଦଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଅବୀହୁଦ ଏଲୀୟାକିମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଏଲୀୟାକିମ ଆସୋରଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲ,
and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 ଆସୋର ସାଦୋକଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ସାଦୋକ ଆଖିମଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଆଖିମ ଏଲିହୁଦଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
15 ଏଲିହୁଦ ଏଲୀୟାଜରଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଏଲୀୟାଜର ମତ୍ତାନଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ,
and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 ମତ୍ତାନ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଯାକୁବ ମରୀୟମଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦେଲେ, ଏହି ମରୀୟମଙ୍କ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଜନ୍ମ ହେଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ କୁହାଯାଏ।
and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚଉଦ ପୁରୁଷ, ଆଉ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଠାରୁ ବାବିଲ ନିର୍ବାସନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚଉଦ ପୁରୁଷ, ପୁଣି, ବାବିଲ ନିର୍ବାସନଠାରୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚଉଦ ପୁରୁଷ।
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David to the removal to Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the removal to Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ହେଲା। ତାହାଙ୍କ ମାତା ମରୀୟମଙ୍କର ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିବାହ ନିର୍ବନ୍ଧ ହେଲା ପରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହବାସ ପୂର୍ବେ ସେ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଲା।
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was in this manner. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
19 ଏଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱାମୀ ଯୋଷେଫ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଥିବାରୁ ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରକାଶରେ ନିନ୍ଦାର ପାତ୍ର କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା ନ କରିବାରୁ ଗୋପନରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାକୁ ସ୍ଥିର କଲେ।
Then Joseph her husband, being righteous, and not willing to expose her to shame, purposed to put her away privately.
20 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଏହା ମନସ୍ଥ କଲା ପରେ, ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଦୂତ ସ୍ୱପ୍ନରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଯୋଷେଫ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ମରୀୟମଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବାକୁ ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଗର୍ଭ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ହୋଇଅଛି।
But while he thought on these things, lo! an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.
21 ସେ ପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରସବ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଯୀଶୁ ଦେବ, କାରଣ ସେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପାପରୁ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କରିବେ।”
And she will bear a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he will save his people from their sins.
22 ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉକ୍ତ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ଯେପରି ସଫଳ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଏସମସ୍ତ ଘଟିଲା,
Now all this took place, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
23 “ଦେଖ, ଜଣେ କନ୍ୟା ଗର୍ଭବତୀ ହୋଇ ପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରସବ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ଲୋକେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ଇମ୍ମାନୁଏଲ ଦେବେ,” ଏହି ନାମର ଅର୍ଥ “ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଈଶ୍ବର।”
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel;” that is, when interpreted, God-is with-us.
24 ଏଥିରେ ଯୋଷେଫ ନିଦରୁ ଉଠି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୂତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେହିପରି କଲେ ଓ ନିଜ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ;
Then Joseph, on waking up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife;
25 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରସବ ନ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ସେ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ନାମ ଯୀଶୁ ଦେଲେ।
and he knew her not till she had brought forth a son: and he called his name Jesus.
