ମାଥିଉ 22
1 ପୁଣି ଥରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ,
AND Jesus continuing his discourse, spake again to them in parables, saying,
2 “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଏପରି ଜଣେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସଦୃଶ, ଯେ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ବିବାହ-ଉତ୍ସବ ଆୟୋଜନ କଲେ,
The kingdom of heaven is like to a certain king, who made a marriage-feast for his son:
3 ଆଉ ସେହି ଉତ୍ସବକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଆସିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the entertainment: and they would not come.
4 ପୁଣି, ଥରେ ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ କହିଲେ, ‘ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଭୋଜ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭର ବୃଷ ଓ ହୃଷ୍ଟପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମରାଯାଇଅଛି, ସମସ୍ତ ହିଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ, ଆପଣମାନେ ବିବାହ ଉତ୍ସବକୁ ଆସନ୍ତୁ,’
Again he sent other servants, saying, Tell those who have been invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and the fatlings are killed, and all things are ready; come unto the marriage-feast.
5 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହା ଲଘୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରି କେହି ଆପଣା କ୍ଷେତକୁ, ଆଉ କେହି ଆପଣା ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବସାୟକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ,
But they gave themselves no concern about it, and went their several ways, one to his own farm, and another to his traffick:
6 ଆଉ ବଳକା ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରି ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର ଓ ବଧ କଲେ।
And the rest seizing his servants, insulted and slew them.
7 କିନ୍ତୁ ରାଜା ରାଗିଯାଇ ଆପଣା ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇ ସେହି ହତ୍ୟାକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କଲେ ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନଗର ଭସ୍ମସାତ୍ କଲେ।
Then the king, when he heard it, was incensed: and sending out his armies, destroyed these murderers, and burnt down their city.
8 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ବିବାହ ଭୋଜ ତ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ, ମାତ୍ର ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଅଯୋଗ୍ୟ।
Then he said to his servants, The wedding entertainment indeed is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy:
9 ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ରାଜଦାଣ୍ଡଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଛକେ ଛକେ ଯାଇ ଯେତେ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଦେଖା ପାଅ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିବାହ-ଉତ୍ସବକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କର।
go therefore into the thoroughfares of the roads, and as many as ye find, invite to the banquet.
10 ସେଥିରେ ସେହି ଦାସମାନେ ରାଜଦାଣ୍ଡଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଓ ସନ୍ଥ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଦେଖାପାଇଲେ, ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରି ଆଣିଲେ, ଆଉ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଅତିଥି ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିବାହଗୃହ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲା।
So these servants going out into the roads, collected all, as many as they found, both bad and good; and the wedding feast was fully furnished with guests.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ରାଜା ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଅତିଥିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଭିତରକୁ ଆସି ସେଠାରେ ବିବାହ-ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପରିଧାନ କରି ନ ଥିବା ଜଣେ ଲୋକକୁ ଦେଖି ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ,
Then the king coming in to look around on the guests, saw there a man who had not put on the wedding garment:
12 ହେ ବନ୍ଧୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିବାହ-ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପରିଧାନ ନ କରି କିପରି ଏ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସିଲ? ମାତ୍ର ସେ ନିରୁତ୍ତର ହୋଇ ରହିଲା।
and he saith to him, Friend, how came thou in here, not having the garment provided for the marriage feast? And he was speechless.
13 ସେଥିରେ ରାଜା ପରିଚାରକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ଏହାର ହାତଗୋଡ଼ ବାନ୍ଧି ଏହାକୁ ବାହାର ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ପକାଇଦିଅ, ସେଠାରେ ରୋଦନ ଓ ଦନ୍ତର କିଡ଼ିମିଡ଼ି ହେବ।
Then said the king to the servants, Bind his feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him into the darkness, which is without; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 କାରଣ ଅନେକ ଆହୂତ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଅଳ୍ପ ମନୋନୀତ।’”
For many are called, but few elect.
15 ସେତେବେଳେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଯାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ।
Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel together how they might lay a snare to entrap him in his discourse.
16 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ହେରୋଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ କହି ପଠାଇଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, ଆପଣ ସତ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ସତ୍ୟ ରୂପେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମାର୍ଗ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି ପୁଣି, କାହାରିକୁ ଭୟ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଆପଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
And they sent to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God with veracity; and carest for no man, for thou regardest not the person of men:
17 ଅତଏବ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହନ୍ତୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କର ମତ କଅଣ? କାଇସର ସମ୍ରାଟଙ୍କୁ କର ଦେବା ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ କି ନୁହେଁ?
tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଜାଣି କହିଲେ, “ରେ କପଟୀମାନେ, କାହିଁକି ମୋତେ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରୁଅଛ?”
But Jesus knew their wicked design, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19 “ସେହି କରର ମୁଦ୍ରା ମୋତେ ଦେଖାଅ।” ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଆଣିଲେ।
Shew me the money for the tribute; and they brought him a denarius.
20 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ଏହି ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଓ ନାମ କାହାର?
And he saith unto them, Whose figure is this and inscription?
21 ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, କାଇସରଙ୍କର। ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ କାଇସର ସମ୍ରାଟଙ୍କର ଯାହା, ତାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ; ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯାହା, ତାହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ।”
They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he to them, Render therefore to Caesar, the things which are Caesar’s; and to God, the things which are God’s.
22 ସେମାନେ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
And when they heard him, they marvelled, and leaving him, went away.
23 ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ନାସ୍ତି କରୁଥିବା ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀମାନେ ସେହି ଦିନ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ,
On the same day the Sadducees came to him, who say, that there is no resurrection, and they put a question to him,
24 ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ମୋଶା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଯଦି କେହି ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମରେ, ତେବେ ତାହାର ଭାଇ ତାହାର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାକୁ ବିବାହ କରି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବଂଶ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବ।
saying, Master, Moses said, “If a man die having no children, his brother in right of affinity shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.”
25 ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସାତ ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ; ପ୍ରଥମଟି ବିବାହ କରି ମରିଗଲା, ପୁଣି, ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ଥିବାରୁ ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ପାଇଁ ନିଜ ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଗଲା;
Now there were with us seven brothers; and the first marrying, died, and had no offspring, and left his wife to his brother;
26 ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ, ତୃତୀୟ ଆଦି ସପ୍ତମ ଜଣ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ।
likewise the second also; then the third; so on to the seven.
27 ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଶେଷରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟି ମରିଗଲା।
Last of all the woman died also.
28 ତେବେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନରେ ସେହି ସାତ ଜଣଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସେ କାହାର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ହେବ? ସମସ୍ତେ ତ ତାହାକୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ।
In the resurrection therefore, whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
29 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ପୁଣି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଶକ୍ତି ମଧ୍ୟ ନ ଜାଣି ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛ।
Jesus then answering, said unto them, Ye are in an error, from not knowing the Scriptures, and the power of God.
30 କାରଣ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନରେ ଲୋକେ ବିବାହ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ବିବାହିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ରୁହନ୍ତି।
For at the resurrection, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
31 ମାତ୍ର ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ବିଷୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାଠ କରି ନାହଁ?
But with respect to the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read what was spoken to you of God, saying,
32 ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର, ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର।’ ସେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କର।”
“I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?” God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷାରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହେଲେ।
And when the multitude heard it, they were amazingly struck with his doctrine.
34 ସେ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିରୁତ୍ତର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ହେଲେ,
But the Pharisees hearing that he had stopped the Sadducees’ mouths, they assembled together:
35 ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାଶାସ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ପଚାରିଲେ,
and one of them, a teacher of the law, put a question to him, to make trial of him, and said,
36 ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ମଧ୍ୟରେ କି ପ୍ରକାର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ?
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ମନ ଦେଇ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କର।’
Then Jesus said to him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
38 ଏହା ହିଁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଓ ପ୍ରଥମ ଆଜ୍ଞା।
This is the first and great commandment.
39 ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟଟି ଏହାର ସଦୃଶ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀକୁ ଆତ୍ମତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କର।’
And the second is like to it, “Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”
40 ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଉପରେ ସମସ୍ତ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଓ ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ନିର୍ଭର କରେ।”
On these two commandments, the whole law and the prophets depend.
41 ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ,
The Pharisees being then assembled, Jesus put a question to them,
42 “ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମତ କଅଣ? ସେ କାହାର ସନ୍ତାନ? ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର।”
saying, What think ye of the Messiah, whose son is he? They say unto him, David’s.
43 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ଦାଉଦ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ‘ପ୍ରଭୁ’ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି?
He saith unto them, How then doth David by the Spirit call him Lord? saying,
44 ‘ଯଥା, ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଦ ତଳେ ରଖି ନାହୁଁ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦକ୍ଷିଣରେ ବସିଥାଅ।’
“The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I put thine enemies as a footstool for thy feet.”
45 ଅତଏବ, ଦାଉଦ ଯଦି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ‘ପ୍ରଭୁ’ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନ?”
If then David calleth him Lord, how is he his son?
46 ସେଥିରେ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଦେ ହେଲେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି, ସେହି ଦିନଠାରୁ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ସାହସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And no man could answer him a word, neither durst any man, from that day, interrogate him any more.
