ମାଥିଉ 20
1 “କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଏପରି ଜଣେ ଗୃହକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ସଦୃଶ, ଯେ ସକାଳ ହେବାମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ମୂଲିଆ ଲଗାଇବାକୁ ବାହାରିଗଲେ।
For the kingdom of the heavens, is like, a man, a householder, —who went forth with the morning, to hire labourers into his vineyard;
2 ଆଉ ସେ ମୂଲିଆମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦିନକୁ ଏକ ଦିନର ମୂଲ ପାଇଁ ଚୁକ୍ତି କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ।
and, when he had agreed with the labourers for a denary the day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରାୟ ନଅଟା ସମୟରେ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ବଜାରରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଷ୍କର୍ମା ହୋଇ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଦେଖି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ,
And, going forth about the third hour, he saw others, standing in the market-place, unemployed;
4 ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଯାଅ, ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଉଚିତ୍, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବି;’ ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଗଲେ।
and, to them, he said—ye also, go your way into the vineyard, and, whatsoever may be right, I will give you;
5 ପୁଣି, ଥରେ ସେ ପ୍ରାୟ ବାରଟା ଓ ତିନିଟା ସମୟରେ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର କଲେ।
and, they, departed. And, again, going forth about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise.
6 ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରାୟ ପାଞ୍ଚଟା ସମୟରେ ସେ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ଆଉ କେତେକ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଦେଖି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ଏଠାରେ ଦିନଯାକ ନିଷ୍କର୍ମା ହୋଇ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଅଛ?’
And, about the eleventh, going forth, he found others, standing, and saith unto them—Why, here, stand ye, all the day, unemployed?
7 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘କାରଣ କେହି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୂଲ ଲଗାଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି।’ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଯାଅ।’
They say unto him—Because, no one, hath hired, us. He saith unto them—Ye also, go your way into the vineyard.
8 ପରେ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର କର୍ତ୍ତା ଆପଣା ବେବର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ମୂଲିଆମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଶେଷ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ପ୍ରଥମ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମୂଲ ଦିଅ।’
And, when evening came, the master of the vineyard saith unto his steward—Call the labourers, and pay the hire, —beginning from the last, unto the first.
9 ସେଥିରେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପ୍ରାୟ ପାଞ୍ଚଟା ସମୟରେ ମୂଲ ଲଗାଯାଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଆସି ଏକ ଦିନର ମୂଲ ଲେଖାଏଁ ପାଇଲେ।
And they of the eleventh hour, coming, received severally a denary.
10 ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରଥମେ ଲଗାଯାଇଥିବା ମୂଲିଆମାନେ ଆସି ଅଧିକ ପାଇବେ ବୋଲି ମନେ କଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏକ ଦିନର ମୂଲ ଲେଖାଏଁ ପାଇଲେ।
And, when the first came, they supposed that, more, they should receive, —and, they also, received severally a denary.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ପାଇ ସେମାନେ ଘରର କର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବଚସା କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ,
And, having received it, they began to murmur against the householder, saying—
12 ‘ଏହି ଶେଷର ଲୋକମାନେ ଘଣ୍ଟାଏ ମାତ୍ର କାମ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦିନଯାକ ଖଟି ଖଟି ଖରାରେ ଜଳି ପୋଡ଼ିଗଲେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମାନ କଲ।’
These last, one hour, wrought, and thou hast made them, equal unto us, who have borne the burden of the day, and the scorching heat.
13 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣକୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ‘ଭାଇ, ତୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ କରୁ ନାହିଁ; ତୁ କଅଣ ମୋ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଏକ ଦିନର ମୂଲ ପାଇଁ ଚୁକ୍ତି କରି ନ ଥିଲୁ?
And, he, answering, unto one of them, said, —Friend! I wrong thee not: Was it not, for a denary, thou didst agree with me?
14 ତୋର ଯାହା, ତାହା ନେଇ ଚାଲିଯା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଶେଷ ଲୋକକୁ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ତୋʼ ପରି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା।
Take thine own, and go thy way; but I please, unto this last, to give, as also to thee:
15 ନିଜ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିକୁ ନିଜ ଇଚ୍ଛାନୁସାରେ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବାକୁ କଅଣ ମୋହର ଅଧିକାର ନାହିଁ? ନା ମୁଁ ଦାନଶୀଳ ହେବାରୁ ତୁ ଈର୍ଷାଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରୁଅଛୁ?’
Is it not allowed me to do, what I please, with my own? or is, thine eye, evil, because I good?
16 ସେହିପରି ଶେଷରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ହେବେ ଓ ପ୍ରଥମରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକେ ଶେଷରେ ପଡ଼ିବେ।”
Thus, shall be—The last first, and the first last.
17 ଯୀଶୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ହେଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ୍ କରି ପଥ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And, Jesus, being about to go up unto Jerusalem, took unto him the twelve [disciples], apart, and, in the way, he said unto them—
18 “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଅଛୁ, ଆଉ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବେ,
Lo! we are going up unto Jerusalem; and, the Son of Man, will be delivered up unto the chief-priests and Scribes, and they will condemn him, [to death],
19 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାଣ ଦଣ୍ଡାଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ ପରିହାସ, କୋରଡ଼ା ପ୍ରହାର ଓ କ୍ରୁଶରେ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତୃତୀୟ ଦିବସରେ ସେ ଉଠିବେ।”
And deliver him up unto the nations, to mock and to scourge and to crucify, —and, on the third day, he will, arise.
20 ସେତେବେଳେ ଜେବଦୀଙ୍କ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆସି ପ୍ରଣାମ କରି ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ କିଛି ମାଗିଲେ।
Then came unto him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, bowing down, and asking something from him.
21 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?” ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଯେପରି ମୋହର ଏହି ଦୁଇ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ବାମ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ବସନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଆଜ୍ଞା କରନ୍ତୁ।
And, he, said to her—What desirest thou? She saith unto him—Bid, that these my two sons may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left, in thy kingdom.
22 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ମାଗୁଅଛ, ତାହା ଜାଣୁ ନାହଁ। ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ପାତ୍ରରେ ପାନ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ସେଥିରେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାନ କରିପାର?”
But Jesus, answering, said—Ye know not what ye are asking: Are ye able to drink the cup, which, I, am about to drink; They say unto him—We are able.
23 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ପାରୁ। ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋହର ପାତ୍ରରେ ପାନ କରିବ ସତ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓ ବାମ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ବସିବାକୁ ଦେବା ମୋହର ଅଧିକାରର ବିଷୟ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରାଯାଇଅଛି, ସେମାନେ ବସିବେ।”
He saith unto them—My cup, indeed, ye shall drink; but, to sit on my right hand and on my left, is not mine to give, —except unto those for whom it hath been prepared by my Father.
24 ଅନ୍ୟ ଦଶ ଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଭାଇଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବିରକ୍ତ ହେଲେ।
And the ten, hearing, were sorely displeased, concerning the two brethren.
25 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, “ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପ୍ରଭୁତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ମହାନ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରନ୍ତି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ।
But, Jesus, calling them near, said—Ye know that, the rulers of the nations, lord it over them, and, the great ones, wield authority over them:
26 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେପ୍ରକାର ନୁହେଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ କେହି ମହାନ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସେବକ ହେଉ,
Not so, is it, among you, —but, whosoever shall desire, among you, to become, great, shall be, your minister;
27 ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ପ୍ରଧାନ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦାସ ହେଉ,
And, whosoever shall desire, among you, to be first, shall be, your servant: —
28 ଯେପରି ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ସେବା ପାଇବାକୁ ଆସି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ଓ ଅନେକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମୁକ୍ତିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ପ୍ରାଣ ଦେବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
Just as, the Son of Man, came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom instead of many.
29 ସେମାନେ ଯିରୀହୋରୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ।
And, as they were going forth from Jericho, there followed him a great multitude;
30 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ପଥ ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରେ ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଅନ୍ଧ ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ପଥ ଦେଇ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଶୁଣି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କରି କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
and lo! two blind men, sitting beside the road, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried aloud saying—Lord! have mercy on us! Son of David!
31 ମାତ୍ର ଲୋକସମୂହ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁନି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଧମକ ଦେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଆହୁରି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କରି କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
But the multitude rebuked them, that they might hold their peace. But, they, the more, cried aloud, saying—Lord, have mercy on us! Son of David!
32 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ପଚାରିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କଅଣ କରିବି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?”
And, standing still, Jesus called them, and said—What desire ye I should do for you?
33 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆଖି ଫିଟିଯାଏ।
They say unto him—Lord! that, our eyes, may open.
34 ଆଉ ଯୀଶୁ ଦୟାରେ ବିଗଳିତ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କଲେ ଓ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ସେମାନେ ଦେଖି ପାରିଲେ ଓ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଚାଲିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And, moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, —and, straightway, they recovered sight, and followed him.
