ମାଥିଉ 19
1 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ସମାପ୍ତ କରିବା ପରେ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଚାଲିଯାଇ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନଦୀର ଆରପାରରେ ଥିବା ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶ ସୀମାରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ।
And it came to pass, when Jesus ended these words, he removed from Galilee and came into the bounds of Judaea beyond the Jordan.
2 ପୁଣି, ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ସେଠାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ।
And there followed him large multitudes, and he cured them there.
3 ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଯେକୌଣସି କାରଣରୁ ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କି ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା କଅଣ ନ୍ୟାୟସଙ୍ଗତ?
And there came unto him Pharisees, testing him, and saying, —Whether is it allowed a man to divorce his wife, for every cause?
4 ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ପାଠ କରି ନାହଁ ଯେ, ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା ଆଦ୍ୟରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କରି ସୃଷ୍ଟି କଲେ,”
And, he, answering, said—Did ye never read—He who created at the beginning, Male and female, made them, —
5 ଆଉ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଠାରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ହେବେ?”
and said—For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and be united to his wife, —and, the two, will become, one flesh;
6 “ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ ଆଉ ଦୁଇ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଅତଏବ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯାହା ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତାହା ଅଲଗା ନ କରୁ।”
So that, the longer, are they, two, but, one flesh, What, therefore, God, hath yoked together, Let not, a man, put asunder.
7 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତେବେ ମୋଶା କାହିଁକି ତ୍ୟାଗପତ୍ର ଦେଇ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ?
They say unto him—Why then did, Moses, command, to give a writing of repudiation and to divorce?
8 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟର କଠିନତା ଦେଖି ମୋଶା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କି ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବାକୁ ଅନୁମତି ଦେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଦ୍ୟରୁ ସେପରି ନ ଥିଲା।”
He saith unto them—Moses, in view of your hardness of heart, permitted you to divorce your wives; From the beginning however, hath it not been done, thus.
9 “ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କି ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର ଦୋଷ ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କାରଣରୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ, ସେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ।”
And I say unto you—Whosoever shall divorce his wife, saving for unfaithfulness, and shall marry another, committeth adultery.
10 ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସହିତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଯଦି ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ସମ୍ଵନ୍ଧ, ତେବେ ବିବାହ କରିବା ଭଲ ନୁହେଁ।
The disciples say unto him—If, so, is the cause of the husband with the wife, it is not expedient to marry.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସମସ୍ତେ ଏହି କଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କେବଳ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷମତା ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି, ସେମାନେ କରିପାରନ୍ତି।
But, he, said unto them—Not all, find room for he word, save they to whom it hath been given;
12 କାରଣ କେହି କେହି ମାତାର ଗର୍ଭରୁ ନପୁଂସକ ହୋଇ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ କେହି କେହି ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନପୁଂସକ କରାଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଆଉ କେହି କେହି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସକାଶେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାକୁ ନପୁଂସକ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରେ, ସେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁ।”
For there, are, eunuchs, who, from their mother’s womb, were born so, and there, are, eunuchs, who were made eunuchs, by men, —and there, are, eunuchs, who have made, themselves, eunuchs, for the sake the kingdom of the heavens: He that is able to find room, let him find room.
13 ସେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେପରି ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ରଖି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଅଣାଗଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଆଣୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧମକ ଦେଲେ।
Then, were brought unto him children, —that he might lay his hands upon them, and pray. And, the disciples, rebuked them.
14 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋ ପାଖକୁ ଆସିବାକୁ ମନା କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର।”
But, Jesus, said—Suffer the children—and do not hinder them—to come unto me, —for, of such, is the kingdom of the heavens.
15 ଆଉ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ରଖି ସେଠାରୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
And, laying his hands upon them, he went his way from thence.
16 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଜଣେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ସତ୍କର୍ମ କରିବି? (aiōnios g166)
And lo! one coming near unto him, said, Teacher! what good thing shall I do, that I may have life age-abiding? (aiōnios g166)
17 ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସତ୍ ବିଷୟରେ ମୋତେ କାହିଁକି ପଚାରୁଅଛ? ସତ୍ କେବଳ ଜଣେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଜୀବନରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କର, ତେବେ ଆଜ୍ଞାସବୁ ପାଳନ କର।”
And, he, said unto him—Why dost thou question me concerning that which is good? There is, One, that is good! But, if thou desirest, into life, to enter, be keeping the commandments.
18 ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, କି କି ପ୍ରକାର ଆଜ୍ଞା? ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହିସବୁ, ନରହତ୍ୟା କର ନାହିଁ, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର ନାହିଁ, ଚୋରି କର ନାହିଁ, ମିଥ୍ୟା ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ,
He saith unto him, Which? Jesus, said—These: Thou shalt not commit murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, —Thou shalt not bear false witness;
19 ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଦର କର; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପଡୋଶୀକି ଆତ୍ମତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କର।”
Honour thy father and thy mother, —and—Thou shalt love thy neighbour as, thyself.
20 ସେହି ଯୁବକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ମୁଁ ପାଳନ କରିଅଛି, ମୋହର ଆଉ କଅଣ ଉଣା ଅଛି?
The young man saith unto him—These all, have I kept, —What, further, do I lack?
21 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କର, ତେବେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରି ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କର, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଧନ ପାଇବ; ପୁଣି, ଆସି ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କର।”
Jesus said unto him—If thou desirest to be perfect, Withdraw! sell thy substance, and give to the destitute, —and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens; and come! be following me.
22 କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣି ଯୁବକଟି ଦୁଃଖିତ ହୋଇ ଚାଲିଗଲେ, କାରଣ ତାଙ୍କର ବହୁତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଥିଲା।
And the young man, hearing, this word, went away sorrowing, —for he was holding large possessions.
23 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଧନୀ ଲୋକ ଅତି କଷ୍ଟରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ।
And, Jesus, said unto his disciples—Verily, I say unto you, A rich man, with difficulty, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
24 ପୁନଶ୍ଚ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଧନୀଲୋକଙ୍କର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବରଂ ଛୁଞ୍ଚିର ଛିଦ୍ର ଦେଇ ଓଟର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସହଜ।”
Again I say unto you—Easier, is it for, a camel, through the eye of a needle, to enter, than a rich man—into the kingdom of God.
25 ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, ତେବେ କିଏ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇ ପାରେ?
And, hearing it, the disciples were being struck with the greatest astonishment, saying—Who then can be saved?
26 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହା ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଅସାଧ୍ୟ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ସାଧ୍ୟ।”
And, looking intently, Jesus said unto them—With men, this is, impossible, but, with God, all things are possible.
27 ସେଥିରେ ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତେବେ କଅଣ ପାଇବା?
Then, making answer, Peter said unto him—Lo! we, have left all, and followed thee, —What then shall there be, for us?
28 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ନୂତନ ସୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆପଣା ଗୌରବମୟ ସିଂହାସନରେ ଉପବେଶନ କରିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ, ମୋହର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ସିଂହାସନରେ ଉପବେଶନ କରି ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀକୁ ଶାସନ କରିବ।”
And, Jesus, said unto them—Verily, I say unto you, As for you who followed me in the regeneration, When the Son of Man shall take his seat on his throne of glory, ye also, shall be seated upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 “ପୁଣି, ଯେ କେହି ମୋହର ନାମ ସକାଶେ ଗୃହ କି ଭାଇ କି ଭଉଣୀ କି ପିତା କି ମାତା କି ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି କି ଭୂମି ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରେ, ସେ ବହୁଗୁଣ ପାଇବ, ପୁଣି, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହେବ। (aiōnios g166)
And, whosoever left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children, or lands, for sake of my name, manifold, shall receive, and life, age-abiding, shall inherit. (aiōnios g166)
30 କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଥିବା ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ଶେଷରେ ପଡ଼ିବେ ଓ ଶେଷରେ ଥିବା ଅନେକ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରଥମ ହେବେ।”
But many shall be—first-last, and last-first.
