ମାଥିଉ 13
1 ସେହି ଦିନ ଯୀଶୁ ଘରୁ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ସମୁଦ୍ରକୂଳରେ ବସିଲେ।
On that same day, after Jesus had left the house, he took his seat on the seashore;
2 ସେଥିରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ଏକତ୍ର ହେବାରୁ ସେ ଯାଇ ଗୋଟିଏ ନୌକାରେ ବସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଲୋକସମୂହ କୂଳରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ।
and such a great crowd gathered about him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the crowd stood on the beach.
3 ଆଉ, ସେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନେକ କଥା କହିଲେ ଦେଖ “ଜଣେ ବୁଣାଳୀ ବୁଣିବାକୁ ବାହାରିଗଲା।
Then he told them many truths in parables. "Behold," he said, "the sower went forth to sow;
4 ସେ ବୁଣୁ ବୁଣୁ କେତେକ ବିହନ ବାଟ ପାଖରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା ପୁଣି, ଚଢ଼େଇମାନେ ଆସି ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଖାଇଗଲେ।
and as he sowed, some seed fell by the roadside, and the birds came and ate it.
5 ଆଉ କେତେକ ଅଳ୍ପ ମାଟି ଥିବା ପଥୁରିଆ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା ଏବଂ ବେଶୀ ମାଟି ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଗଜା ହେଲା,
Some fell on rocky ground where there was not much earth. Now because it had no depth of soil, it sprang up at once;
6 କିନ୍ତୁ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉଠନ୍ତେ ଜଳିପୋଡ଼ିଗଲା ଓ ଚେର ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଶୁଖିଗଲା।
but when the sun rose it was scorched, and withered away because it had no root.
7 ଆଉ କେତେକ କଣ୍ଟାଗଛଗୁଡ଼ାକ ମଝିରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା ପୁଣି, କଣ୍ଟାଗଛଗୁଡ଼ାକ ଉଠି ବଡ଼ ହୋଇ ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଚାପି ପକାଇଲା।
Some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked it.
8 ମାତ୍ର ଅନ୍ୟ କେତେକ ଭଲ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିଲା ଓ ଫଳ ଫଳିଲା, କେତେକ ଶହେ ଗୁଣ କେତେକ ଷାଠିଏ ଗୁଣ କେତେକ ତିରିଶ ଗୁଣ।
But some fell on good soil, and bore a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
9 ଯିଏ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛି, ସେ ଶୁଣୁ।”
He who has ears, let him hear!"
10 ଏହାପରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ, ଆପଣ କାହିଁକି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା କଥା କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି?
Now when his disciples came up to him, they said,
11 ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “କାରଣ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟର ନିଗୂଢ଼ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱସମୂହ ଜାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶକ୍ତି ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯାଇନାହିଁ।
"Why do you speak to them in parables?" Jesus answered. "To you it has been granted to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; but to them it has not been granted.
12 ଯେଣୁ ଯାହାର ଅଛି, ତାହାକୁ ଦିଆଯିବ, ଆଉ ତାହାର ପ୍ରଚୁର ହେବ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାହାର ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ପାଖରେ ଯାହା ଅଛି, ତାହା ହିଁ ତାହାଠାରୁ ନିଆଯିବ।
"For whoever holds, to him shall more be given, and he shall have abundance; but whoever does not hold, from him shall be taken away even what he holds.
13 ‘ସେମାନେ ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ ଓ ଶୁଣୁ ଶୁଣୁ ଶୁଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ କି ବୁଝନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ଏଣୁ ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା କଥା କହୁଅଛି।
"This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 ଆଉ ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କର ଏହି ଭାବବାଣୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ସଫଳ ହେଉଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣୁ ଶୁଣୁ ଶୁଣିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ବୁଝିବ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି, ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖୁ ଦେଖିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ;
And in them is being fulfilled that prophecy of Isaiah which says. "Hearing you will hear and not understand; Seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 କାରଣ ଏହି ଲୋକଙ୍କର ହୃଦୟ ଜଡ଼ ହେଲା, ସେମାନେ କାନରେ କଷ୍ଟରେ ଶୁଣିଲେ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଆଖି ବୁଜିଲେ, ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଆଖିରେ ଦେଖିବେ ନାହିଁ ଓ କାନରେ ଶୁଣିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ହୃଦୟରେ ବୁଝିବେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି, ଫେରି ଆସିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବୁ ନାହିଁ।’
For the heart of his people is made fat, Their ears are dull of hearing; Their eyes, too, have they closed, Lest some day their eyes should perceive, And their ears should hear, And their heart should understand and turn, And I should heal them.
16 କିନ୍ତୁ ଧନ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ଷୁ, ଯେଣୁ ତାହା ଦେଖେ; ଧନ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ଯେଣୁ ତାହା ଶୁଣେ।
"But happy are your eyes, because they see, and your ears because they hear.
17 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଦେଖୁଅଛ, ସେହିସବୁ ଅନେକ ଭାବବାଦୀ ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାହା ଶୁଣୁଅଛ, ସେହିସବୁ ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ।”
"In solemn truth I tell you that many prophets and holy men have seen it not, and to hear what you are hearing, and have not heard it.
18 “ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୀଜ ବୁଣାଳୀର ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଶୁଣ।
"Listen then, to the parable of the sower.
19 ଯେ କେହି ରାଜ୍ୟର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣି ନ ବୁଝେ, ପାପାତ୍ମା ଆସି ତାହାର ହୃଦୟରେ ଯାହା ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିଲା, ତାହା ହରଣ କରିନିଏ, ସେ ଜଣକ ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିବା ବାଟ ପାଖ ଭୂମି ସଦୃଶ।
"Whenever any one hears the message of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the Evil One comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart.
20 ଯେ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣିବାକ୍ଷଣି ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ତାହା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାଠାରେ ଚେର ନ ମାଡ଼ିବାରୁ କ୍ଷଣକାଳମାତ୍ର ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରୁହେ,
"This is the seed sown by the wayside. And the word, and at once receives it with joy.
21 ପରେ ବାକ୍ୟ ସକାଶେ କ୍ଲେଶ ବା ତାଡ଼ନା ଘଟିଲେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ବିଘ୍ନ ପାଏ, ସେହି ଜଣକ ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିବା ପଥୁରିଆ ଭୂମି ସଦୃଶ।
"But he has no root in himself; he continues for a time, but when trouble arises, or persecutions, on account of the word, at once he stumbles and falls.
22 ଯେ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣେ, ପୁଣି, ସାଂସାରିକ ଚିନ୍ତା ଓ ଧନର ମାୟା ବାକ୍ୟକୁ ଚାପିପକାଏ, ଆଉ ସେ ଫଳହୀନ ହୁଏ, ସେହି ଜଣକ ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିବା କଣ୍ଟକମୟ ଭୂମି ସଦୃଶ। (aiōn g165)
"And the seed sown among thorns is he who hears the word, but the anxieties of the age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣି ବୁଝେ ଓ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ଫଳ ଫଳେ, କେହି ଶହେ ଗୁଣ, କେହି ଷାଠିଏ ଗୁଣ, କେହି ତିରିଶ ଗୁଣ, ସେହି ଜଣକ ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିବା ଉତ୍ତମ ଭୂମି ସଦୃଶ।”
"But the seed sown in good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit, and makes now an hundredfold, now sixty, now thirty."
24 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଆପଣା କ୍ଷେତରେ ଭଲ ବିହନ ବୁଣାଯାଇଥିବା ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ ସଦୃଶ;
He told them another parable. "The kingdom of heaven," he said, "is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
25 ମାତ୍ର ଲୋକେ ନିଦ୍ରା ଯାଇଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁ ଆସି ସେହି ଗହମ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ବୁଣିଦେଇ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
"but while men were asleep his enemy came and sowed tares among his wheat and went away.
26 ଯେତେବେଳେ ପତ୍ର ବାହାରି ଫଳ ଫଳିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖାଗଲା।
"And when the blade shot up and formed the wheat-kernel, then the tares also appeared.
27 ସେଥିରେ ଘରମାଲିକଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ‘ସାଆନ୍ତେ, ଆପଣ କଅଣ ନିଜ କ୍ଷେତରେ ଭଲ ବିହନ ବୁଣି ନ ଥିଲେ? ତେବେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗାଗୁଡ଼ାକ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ହେଲା?’
"The slaves of the owner went to him and said. "‘Was it not good seed, sir, that you sowed in your field? From whence then, do you get tares?’
28 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ଜଣେ ଶତ୍ରୁ ଏହା କରିଅଛି।’ ପୁଣି, ଦାସମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାଇ ସେଗୁଡ଼ାକ ଉପାଡ଼ି ଏକାଠି କରୁ, ଏହା କଅଣ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା?
"‘It is an enemy who has done this,’ he answered. "The slaves said to him, ‘Do you want us to go and collect them?’
29 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କହିଲେ, ‘ନା, କାଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ଏକାଠି କରୁ କରୁ ସେଗୁଡ଼ାକ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଗହମ ଉପାଡ଼ି ପକାଇବ।
"‘No,’ he answered, ‘for fear lest while you are collecting the tares, you at the same time pull up the wheat.
30 ଶସ୍ୟ ନ କାଟିବା ଯାଏ ଦୁହିଁକୁ ଏକାଠି ବଢ଼ିବାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ, ଆଉ ଶସ୍ୟ କାଟିବା ସମୟରେ ମୁଁ କଟାଳିମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି, ପୋଡ଼ିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଗେ ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ଏକାଠି କରି ବିଡ଼ା ବାନ୍ଧ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଗହମ ମୋ ଅମାରରେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରି ରଖ।’”
"Let both grow together until harvest, and at harvest-time I will tell the reapers to first gather the tares and tie them in bundles for burning, but to bring all the wheat into my store-house.’"
31 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଏପ୍ରକାର ଗୋଟିଏ ସୋରିଷ ଦାନା ପରି, ଯାହା ନେଇ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ବୁଣିଲା।
He set forth to them another parable, saying. "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard-seed which a man took and planted in his field.
32 ତାହା ତ ସବୁ ବୀଜଠାରୁ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ବଢ଼ିଲେ ସବୁ ଶାକଠାରୁ ବଡ଼ ହୋଇ ଏପରି ଗଛ ହୁଏ ଯେ, ଆକାଶର ଚଢ଼େଇମାନେ ଆସି ତାହାର ଡାଳରେ ବାସ କରନ୍ତି।”
"This is indeed the smallest of seeds, but when it is grown it is greater than any herb, and becomes a tree, so that the winged things of the sky come and roost in its branches."
33 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ, “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଖମୀର ସଦୃଶ; ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତାହା ନେଇ ମହଣେ ମଇଦା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଘୋଡ଼ାଇ ରଖିଲା ଆଉ ସେ ଶେଷରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଖମୀରମୟ ହେଲା।”
He told them another parable. He said, "The kingdom of heaven is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, until the whole was leavened."
34 ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଯୀଶୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲୋକସମୂହକୁ କହିଲେ, ଆଉ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ବିନା ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କିଛି କହୁ ନ ଥିଲେ,
Jesus told all this to the crowd in parables; indeed he never spoke to them except in parables,
35 ଯେପରି ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉକ୍ତ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ସଫଳ ହୁଏ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଫିଟାଇ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା କଥା କହିବା, ଜଗତ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ଦିନରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ବିଷୟସବୁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତ କରିବା।
in fulfilment of the word spoken by the prophet, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things kept secret since the foundation of the world."
36 ପରେ ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, କ୍ଷେତର ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗାର ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ରୂପେ ବୁଝାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ।
After he had sent the people away and gone into the house, his disciples came to him and said, "Explain to us the parable about the weeds in the field."
37 ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଉତ୍ତମ ବିହନ ଯେ ବୁଣନ୍ତି ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର;
"The sower of the seed," he answered, "is the Son of man;
38 କ୍ଷେତ ଜଗତ; ଭଲ ବିହନ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ; ବାଳୁଙ୍ଗା ପାପାତ୍ମାର ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ;
"the field is the world; the good seed is the sons of the kingdom; the weeds, the sons of the Evil One.
"The enemy who sows the weeds is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the age. The reapers are the angels. (aiōn g165)
"Just as the weeds are collected together and burnt with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. (aiōn g165)
41 ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆପଣା ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇବେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଘ୍ନଜନକ ବିଷୟ ଓ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବେ,
"The son of man will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all hindrances, and whoever practises iniquity,
42 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ନିକୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ଦେବେ, ସେଠାରେ ରୋଦନ ଓ ଦାନ୍ତର କିଡ଼ିମିଡ଼ି ହେବ।
"and will throw them into the fiery furnace. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
43 ସେତେବେଳେ ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ପରି ତେଜୋମୟ ଦେଖାଯିବେ। ଯାହାର କାନ ଅଛି, ସେ ଶୁଣୁ।”
"And then shall the just shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Let him who has ears to hear, listen!
44 “ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଗୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିବା ଧନ ସଦୃଶ। ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଗୋପନ କରି ରଖିଲା ଓ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରି ସେହି କ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ କ୍ରୟ କଲା।”
"The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in the ground, which a man finds but buries again, and then in his joy goes and sells all that he has and buys that land.
45 “ପୁନଶ୍ଚ, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ତମ ଉତ୍ତମ ମୁକ୍ତା ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରୁଥିବା ଜଣେ ବଣିକ ଭଳି।
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of beautiful pearls.
46 ଗୋଟିଏ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ମୁକ୍ତା ଦେଖି ସେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବିକ୍ରୟ କରି ସେହି ମୁକ୍ତାକୁ କ୍ରୟ କଲା।”
"When he finds one of great price, he goes and sells everything he has and buys it.
47 “ପୁନଶ୍ଚ, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟ ସମୁଦ୍ରରେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ସର୍ବ ପ୍ରକାର ମତ୍ସ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହକାରୀ ଗୋଟିଏ ଟଣା ଜାଲ ସଦୃଶ।
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.
48 ତାହା ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ଲୋକେ କୂଳକୁ ଟାଣି ଆଣିଲେ ପୁଣି, ବସି ଭଲଯାକ ଖାଳୋଇରେ ଏକାଠି କରି ରଖିଲେ କିନ୍ତୁ ମନ୍ଦଗୁଡ଼ାକ ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଦେଲେ।
"When it was full they hauled it upon the beach, and sat down and sorted the good fish into baskets, but threw the worthless fish away.
49 ଯୁଗାନ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ସେହିପରି ଘଟିବ; ଦୂତମାନେ ବାହାରି ଆସି ଧାର୍ମିକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ୍ କରିବେ, (aiōn g165)
"So will it be at the end of the age. The angels will go forth and separate the wicked from the righteous, and fling them into the furnace of fire. (aiōn g165)
50 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଗ୍ନିକୁଣ୍ଡରେ ପକାଇଦେବେ; ସେଠାରେ ରୋଦନ ଓ ଦାନ୍ତର କିଡ଼ିମିଡ଼ି ହେବ।”
"There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
51 “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ବୁଝିଲ” ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ ହଁ।
"Have you understood all this?" he asked. "We have," they answered him.
52 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ଯେଉଁ ଗୃହକର୍ତ୍ତା ଆପଣା ଭଣ୍ଡାରରୁ ନୂଆ ଓ ପୁରୁଣା ପଦାର୍ଥ ବାହାର କରେ, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରାଜ୍ୟର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥିବା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତାହାରି ସଦୃଶ।”
"Then," said he, "every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his storehouse new things and old."
53 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ସମାପ୍ତ କଲା ପରେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
After Jesus had finished these parables, he withdrew from that place,
54 ଆଉ, ସେ ନିଜ ପୈତୃକ ନଗରକୁ ଆସି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ଏପରି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲେ ଯେ, ସେମାନେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟାନ୍ୱିତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକର ଏପରି ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଓ ଶକ୍ତିର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ହେଲା?
and came into his own country, where he continued teaching the people in their synagogues, until they were amazed. "Where did he get such wisdom?" they said, "and such wondrous powers?
55 ଏ କି ସେହି ବଢ଼େଇର ପୁଅ ନୁହେଁ? ଏହାର ମାଆ ନାମ କଅଣ ମରୀୟମ ନୁହେଁ? ପୁଣି, ଏହାର ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ନାମ କଅଣ ଯାକୁବ, ଯୋଷେଫ, ଶିମୋନ ଓ ଯିହୂଦା ନୁହେଁ?
"Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary? and his brothers Jamesand Joseph and Simon and Judas?
56 ଆଉ, ଏହାର ଭଉଣୀମାନେ କଅଣ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି? ତେବେ ସେ ଏହିସବୁ କେଉଁଠୁ ପାଇଲା?
"Are not his sisters all living among us? Where, then, did he get all these powers?"
57 ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଘ୍ନ ପାଇଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଭାବବାଦୀ ନିଜ ପୈତୃକ ନଗର ଓ ସ୍ୱପରିବାର ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସିଠାରେ ହତାଦର ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।”
This kept them from believing in him. Wherefore Jesus said, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and among his own family."
58 ଆଉ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅବିଶ୍ୱାସ ହେତୁ ସେଠାରେ ଅନେକ ମହତର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And he did no mighty works there, because of their lack of faith.
