ମାଥିଉ 12
1 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ଶସ୍ୟକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଦେଇ ଗଲେ, ଆଉ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହୋଇ ଶସ୍ୟର ଶିଁଷା ଛିଣ୍ଡାଇ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat them.
2 କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହା ଦେଖି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ଯାହା କରିବା ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ ନୁହେଁ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
When the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, “Look, Your disciples are doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath.”
3 ମାତ୍ର ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦାଉଦ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗୀମାନେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ସେ କଅଣ କରୁଥିଲେ, ତାହା କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାଠ କରି ନାହଁ?
Jesus replied, “Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
4 ସେ କିପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି, ଯେଉଁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀକୃତ ରୁଟି କେବଳ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ ଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗୀମାନଙ୍କର ଭୋଜନ କରିବା ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ ନ ଥିଲା, ତାହା ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିଥିଲେ।
He entered the house of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for them to eat, but only for the priests.
5 କିମ୍ବା ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ଯାଜକମାନେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ ହେଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଏହା ପାଠ କରି ନାହଁ?
Or haven’t you read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
6 ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ମନ୍ଦିର ଅପେକ୍ଷା ମହତ ବିଷୟ ଏଠାରେ ଅଛି।
But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here.
7 କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ବଳିଦାନ ଭଲ ନ ପାଇ ଦୟା ଭଲ ପାଉ, ଏ ଉକ୍ତିର ଅର୍ଥ ଯେବେ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତ, ତେବେ ଏହି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତ।
If only you had known the meaning of ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
8 କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରର ପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି।”
For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
9 ସେ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଚାଲିଯାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ।
Moving on from there, Jesus entered their synagogue,
10 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେଠାରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଥିଲା, ତାହାର ଗୋଟିଏ ହାତ ଶୁଖିଯାଇଥିଲା। ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବା କଅଣ ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ?
and a man with a withered hand was there. In order to accuse Jesus, they asked Him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି କାହାରି ଗୋଟିଏ ମେଣ୍ଢା ଥାଏ ଓ ତାହା ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ଖାତରେ ପଡ଼ିଯାଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଯେ ତାହାକୁ ଧରି ନ ଉଠାଇବ, ଏପରି ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କିଏ ଅଛି?
He replied, “If one of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will he not take hold of it and lift it out?
12 ତେବେ, ମେଣ୍ଢାଠାରୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଆହୁରି କେତେ ଅଧିକ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ। ଏଣୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ସାଧନ କରିବା ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ।
How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”
13 ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସେହି ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଅ।” ସେଥିରେ ସେ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଇଲା ଓ ତାହା ଅନ୍ୟ ହାତ ପରି ପୁଣି, ଭଲ ହୋଇଗଲା।
Then Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out, and it was restored to full use, just like the other.
14 କିନ୍ତୁ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ।
But the Pharisees went out and plotted how they might kill Jesus.
15 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହା ଜାଣି ସେଠାରୁ ଅଲଗା ହୋଇ ବାହାରିଗଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଅନେକେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ
Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them all,
16 ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ ନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଢ଼ରୂପେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ,
warning them not to make Him known.
17 ଯେପରି, ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭାବବାଦୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉକ୍ତ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ସଫଳ ହୁଏ,
This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
18 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର, ଯାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଆତ୍ମାର ପରମ ସନ୍ତୋଷ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମା ଅଧିଷ୍ଠାନ କରାଇବା, ଆଉ ସେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବେ।
“Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19 ସେ ବିବାଦ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ଦାଣ୍ଡରେ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କ ସ୍ୱର ଶୁଣିବ ନାହିଁ।
He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear His voice in the streets.
20 ନ୍ୟାୟକୁ ଜୟଯୁକ୍ତ ନ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେ ଛେଚା-ନଳ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି, ସଧୂମ ସଳିତା ଲିଭାଇବେ ନାହିଁ।
A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not extinguish, till He leads justice to victory.
21 ଆଉ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ଭରସା ରଖିବେ।
In His name the nations will put their hope.”
22 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଭୂତଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଅନ୍ଧ ଘୁଙ୍ଗାଲୋକକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଅଣାଗଲା, ଆଉ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ; ସେଥିରେ ସେହି ଘୁଙ୍ଗା କଥା କହି ପାରିଲା ଓ ଦେଖି ପାରିଲା।
Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to Jesus, and He healed the man so that he could speak and see.
23 ପୁଣି, ଲୋକସମୂହ ଆଚମ୍ଭିତ ହୋଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ ଏ କଅଣ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି?
The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?”
24 ମାତ୍ର ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହା ଶୁଣି କହିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକଟା ଭୂତପତି ବାଲ୍ଜିବୂଲ୍ର ବିନା ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ଭୂତ ଛଡ଼ାଏ ନାହିଁ।
But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “Only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, does this man drive out demons.”
25 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମନର ଚିନ୍ତା ଜାଣି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେକୌଣସି ରାଜ୍ୟ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠେ ତାହା ଧ୍ୱଂସ ହୋଇ ଯାଏ; ପୁଣି, ଯେକୌଣସି ନଗରରେ କିମ୍ବା ଗୃହ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠେ, ତାହା ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ।
Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.
26 ଆଉ, ଶୟତାନ ଯଦି ଶୟତାନକୁ ଛଡ଼ାଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠିଲାଣି ତେବେ ତାହାର ରାଜ୍ୟ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିବ?
If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?
27 ମୁଁ ଯେବେ ବାଲ୍ଜିବୂଲ୍ର ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ଭୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରେ ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ କାହା ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରନ୍ତି। ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ ହିଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ହେବେ।
And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
28 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଯଦି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ଭୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛଡ଼ାଏ, ତେବେ ତ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲାଣି।
But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
29 ଅବା କେହି ପ୍ରଥମେ ବଳବାନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ନ ବାନ୍ଧିଲେ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ତାହା ଘରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ତାହାର ଅସ୍ତ୍ରଶସ୍ତ୍ର ସବୁ ଚୋରି କରିପାରେ? ତାହାକୁ ଆଗେ ବାନ୍ଧିଲେ ସିନା ତାହାର ଗୃହ ଲୁଣ୍ଠନ କରିବ।
Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
30 ଯେ ମୋହର ସପକ୍ଷ ନୁହେଁ, ସେ ମୋହର ବିପକ୍ଷ, ପୁଣି, ଯେ ମୋʼ ସହିତ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରିପକାଏ।
He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.
31 ଅତଏବ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପାପ ଓ ନିନ୍ଦା କ୍ଷମା କରାଯିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ନିନ୍ଦା କ୍ଷମା କରାଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
32 ଆଉ, ଯେ କେହି ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କଥା କହିବ, ତାହାକୁ କ୍ଷମା ଦିଆଯିବ, ମାତ୍ର ଯେ କେହି ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ କଥା କହିବ, ଏହି ଯୁଗରେ କି ଆଗାମୀ ଯୁଗରେ ତାହାକୁ କ୍ଷମା ଦିଆଯିବ ନାହିଁ।” (aiōn g165)
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come. (aiōn g165)
33 “ଗଛକୁ ଭଲ କୁହ ଓ ତାହାର ଫଳକୁ ଭଲ କୁହ ନ ହେଲେ ଗଛକୁ ମନ୍ଦ କୁହ ଓ ତାହାର ଫଳକୁ ମନ୍ଦ କୁହ, କାରଣ ଫଳ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗଛ ଚିହ୍ନାଯାଏ।
Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.
34 ରେ କାଳସର୍ପର ବଂଶ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ଭଲ କଥା କହିପାର? କାରଣ ହୃଦୟର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣତାରୁ ମୁଖ କଥା କହେ।
You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
35 ଉତ୍ତମ ଲୋକ ଉତ୍ତମ ଭଣ୍ଡାରରୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ପଦାର୍ଥ ବାହାର କରେ, ପୁଣି, ମନ୍ଦ ଲୋକ ମନ୍ଦ ଭଣ୍ଡାରରୁ ମନ୍ଦ ପଦାର୍ଥ ବାହାର କରେ।
The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure.
36 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଯେକୌଣସି ଅସାର କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ବିଚାର ଦିନରେ ସେମାନେ ସେଥିର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେବେ;
But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken.
37 ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୋଷୀ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣିତ ହେବ।”
For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
38 ସେତେବେଳେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକ ଜଣ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଚିହ୍ନ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛୁ।
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
39 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଓ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ବଂଶ ଚିହ୍ନ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଭାବବାଦୀ ଯୂନସଙ୍କ ଚିହ୍ନ ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ଚିହ୍ନ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦିଆଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
Jesus replied, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 କାରଣ ଯୂନସ ଯେପରି ତିନି ଦିନ ଓ ତିନି ରାତି ଏକ ବୃହତ୍ ମତ୍ସ୍ୟର ପେଟରେ ଥିଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ସେହିପରି ତିନି ଦିନ ଓ ତିନି ରାତି ଭୂଗର୍ଭରେ ରହିବେ।
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 ନୀନିବୀ ସହରର ଲୋକମାନେ ବିଚାରରେ ଏହି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ଉଠି ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବେ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଯୂନସଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଚାରରେ ମନ-ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କଲେ, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଯୂନସଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ମହତ ବିଷୟ ଏ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅଛି।
The men of Nineveh will stand at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now One greater than Jonah is here.
42 ଆଉ, ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦେଶର ରାଣୀ ବିଚାରରେ ଏହି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ଉଠି ଏମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବେ କାରଣ ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନର କଥା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରୁ ଆସିଲେ, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ମହତ ବିଷୟ ଏ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅଛି।”
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
43 “ଅଶୁଚି ଆତ୍ମା ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟଠାରୁ ବାହାରିଗଲା ପରେ ଜଳଶୂନ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ସବୁ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରି ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଖୋଜେ ଓ ତାହା ପାଏ ନାହିଁ।
When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
44 ସେଥିରେ ସେ କୁହେ, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଘରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସିଲି, ମୋହର ସେହି ଘରକୁ ଫେରିଯିବି; ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆସି ତାହା ଶୂନ୍ୟ, ମାର୍ଜିତ ଓ ସୁଶୋଭିତ ଦେଖେ।
Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ On its return, it finds the house vacant, swept clean, and put in order.
45 ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ମନ୍ଦ ଆଉ ସାତଟା ଆତ୍ମା ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଇ ଆସେ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ସେଠାରେ ବାସ କରନ୍ତି ଆଉ ସେହି ଲୋକର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦଶା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଶେଷ ଦଶା ମନ୍ଦ ହୁଏ। ଏହି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ପୁରୁଷ ପ୍ରତି ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର ଘଟିବ।”
Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and dwell there; and the final plight of that man is worse than the first. So will it be with this wicked generation.”
46 ସେ ଲୋକସମୂହକୁ କଥା କହୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ, ଦେଖ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ମାଆ ଓ ଭାଇମାନେ ବାହାରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲେ।
While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, His mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to Him.
47 ସେଥିରେ ଜଣେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମାଆ ଓ ଭାଇମାନେ ବାହାରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
Someone told Him, “Look, Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to You.”
48 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୋହର ମାଆ କିଏ? ଆଉ, ମୋହର ଭାଇମାନେ କିଏ?”
But Jesus replied, “Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?”
49 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼କୁ ହାତ ବଢ଼ାଇ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ମୋହର ମାଆ ଓ ମୋହର ଭାଇମାନେ,
Pointing to His disciples, He said, “Here are My mother and My brothers.
50 କାରଣ ଯେ କେହି ମୋହର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗସ୍ଥ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ସାଧନ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ଭାଇ, ଭଉଣୀ ଓ ମାଆ।”
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
