ଲୂକ 9
1 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ବାର ଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ଏକତ୍ର କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଭୂତ ଉପରେ ପୁଣି, ରୋଗ ଆରୋଗ୍ୟ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶକ୍ତି ଓ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲେ।
And he called his twelve disciples to him, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases:
2 ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଘୋଷଣା ଓ ରୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପଠାଇଲେ।
and he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
3 ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଯାତ୍ରା ନିମନ୍ତେ ବାଡ଼ି କି ଝୋଲି କି ରୁଟି କି ଟଙ୍କା କିଛି ହିଁ ନିଅ ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ଦୁଇଟି ଅଙ୍ଗରଖା ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ରଖ ନାହିଁ।
And he said to them: Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; nor have two coats each.
4 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେକୌଣସି ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ, ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ନ ବାହାରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେଠାରେ ରୁହ।
And whatever house you enter, there remain, and thence depart.
5 ଆଉ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସେହି ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରିବା ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଦରୁ ଧୂଳି ଝାଡ଼ିପକାଅ।”
And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, shake off even the dust from your feet, for a testimony against them.
6 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଯାଇ ସବୁଆଡ଼େ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର ଓ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରୁ କରୁ ଗ୍ରାମେ ଗ୍ରାମେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And they departed, and went through every village, preaching the gospel, and performing cures everywhere.
7 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ସାମନ୍ତରାଜା ହେରୋଦ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣା ବିଷୟ ଶୁଣି ଅବାକ୍ ହୋଇଗଲେ, କାରଣ ଯୋହନ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କେହି କେହି କହୁଥିଲେ;
And Herod the tetrarch heard of all things that were done by him; and he was perplexed, because it was said by some, that John had risen from the dead;
8 ପୁଣି, କେହି କେହି ଏଲୀୟ ଦେଖା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ପୁରାକାଳର ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି କହୁଥିଲେ।
and by some, that Elijah had appeared; and by others, that a prophet of ancient times had risen again.
9 କିନ୍ତୁ ହେରୋଦ କହିଲେ, ଯୋହନଙ୍କ ମସ୍ତକ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତ କାଟିଅଛୁ, ମାତ୍ର ଯାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏପ୍ରକାର କଥା ଶୁଣୁଅଛୁ, ଏ କିଏ? ଆଉ ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ।
And Herod said: John I have beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.
10 ପରେ ପ୍ରେରିତମାନେ ଫେରିଆସି, ଯାହା ଯାହା କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହିସବୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଘେନି ଅନ୍ତର ହୋଇ ବେଥ୍ସାଇଦା ନାମକ ନଗରକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
And the apostles returned, and told him all that they had done. And he took them, and withdrew privately to a desert place, that belonged to a city called Bethsaida.
11 କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକସମୂହ ତାହା ଜାଣି ତାହାଙ୍କର ପଛେ ପଛେ ଗଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ସଦୟ ହୋଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ବିଷୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଆଉ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବାର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଥିଲା, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲେ।
But the multitudes knew it, and followed him; and he received them, and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing.
12 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା; ସେଥିରେ ବାର ଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ଲୋକସମୂହ ଯେପରି ଚାରିପାଖ ଗ୍ରାମ ଓ ପଲ୍ଳୀଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଯାଇ ବସା ଓ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ପାଇ ପାରନ୍ତି, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଦାୟ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏଠାରେ ଜନଶୂନ୍ୟ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅଛୁ।
And the day began to decline; and the twelve came and said to him: Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and the country round about, and lodge, and find food; for we are here in a desert place.
13 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୋଜନ କରାଅ।” ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ପାଞ୍ଚୋଟି ରୁଟି ଓ ଦୁଇଟି ମାଛରୁ ଅଧିକ ନାହିଁ; ତାହାହେଲେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ ଯାଇ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ କିଣିବା?
But he said to them: Do you give them food. They replied: We have nothing but five loaves and two fishes, unless we go and buy food for all these people.
14 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରାୟ ପାଞ୍ଚ ହଜାର ପୁରୁଷ ଥିଲେ। ଆଉ ସେ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ପ୍ରାୟ ପଚାଶ ପଚାଶ ଜଣ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଳ ଦଳ କରି ବସାଅ।”
For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples: Make them recline in companies of fifty.
15 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ସେହିପରି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ବସାଇଲେ।
And they did so, and made them all recline.
16 ଆଉ, ସେ ସେହି ପାଞ୍ଚୋଟି ରୁଟି ଓ ଦୁଇଟି ମାଛ ନେଇ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ଆଡ଼େ ଅନାଇ କରି ସେହିସବୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାଣ୍ଟିଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and broke, and gave them to the disciples, to set before the multitude.
17 ସେଥିରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଖାଇ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେଲେ, ଆଉ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ବଳିଥିବା ଭଙ୍ଗାଯାଇଥିବା ରୁଟିର ବାର ଟୋକେଇ ଉଠାଇ ନେଲେ।
And they all ate, and were satisfied; and there was taken up what remained to them of the broken pieces, twelve baskets.
18 ଥରେ ସେ ଏକାକୀ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ମୁଁ କିଏ ବୋଲି ଲୋକସମୂହ କଅଣ କହନ୍ତି?”
And it came to pass, as he was praying in a retired place, that his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying: Who do the multitudes say that I am?
19 ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ବାପ୍ତିଜକ ଯୋହନ, କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି କେହି କହନ୍ତି, ଏଲୀୟ, ଆଉ କେହି କେହି କହନ୍ତି, ପୁରାକାଳର ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠିଅଛନ୍ତି।
They answered and said: John the Immerser; but some, Elijah; and others, that some prophet of ancient times has risen again.
20 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କିଏ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କଅଣ କହୁଅଛ?” ପିତର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଆପଣ “ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ।”
He said to them: But who do you say that I am? Peter answered and said: The Christ of God.
21 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଏହା କାହାକୁ ନ କହିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଢ଼ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହିଲେ,
And he strictly charged them and commanded them to tell this to no one,
22 “ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ବହୁତ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ହେବ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ, ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ହତ ହେବାକୁ ହେବ, ପୁଣି, ତୃତୀୟ ଦିନରେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ହେବ।”
saying: The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and be raised the third day.
23 ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “କେହି ଯେବେ ମୋହର ପଛରେ ଚାଲିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରୁ, ପୁଣି, ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୁଶ ଘେନି ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କରୁ।
And he said to them all: If any one determines to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
24 କାରଣ ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣା ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରେ, ସେ ତାହା ହରାଇବ; କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ କେହି ମୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଜୀବନ ହରାଇବ, ସେ ତାହା ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ।
For whoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whoever will lose his life for my sake, shall save it.
25 ଆଉ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯେବେ ସମସ୍ତ ଜଗତ ଲାଭ କରି ଆପଣାକୁ ବିନାଶ କରେ ବା ହରାଏ, ତେବେ ତାହାର କି ଲାଭ?
For what will it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and destroy himself, or be lost?
26 ଯେଣୁ ଯେ କେହି ମୋହର ଓ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହୁଏ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣାର ଓ ପିତାଙ୍କର, ପୁଣି, ପବିତ୍ର ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କର ମହିମାରେ ଆସିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ତାହା ବିଷୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜା ବୋଧ କରିବେ।
For whoever will be ashamed of me and my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in his own glory; and that of the Father, and of the holy angels.
27 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ନ ଦେଖିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେଠାରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଆସ୍ୱାଦନ ପାଇବେ ନାହିଁ।”
But I say to you, of a truth, there are some of these who stand here that shall not taste of death till they see the kingdom of God.
28 ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଘଟଣାର ପ୍ରାୟ ଆଠ ଦିନ ପରେ ସେ ପିତର, ଯୋହନ ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କୁ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ନେଇ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକୁ ଗଲେ।
And it came to pass, about eight days after these words, that he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 ପୁଣି, ସେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖର ରୂପ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଧଳା ଓ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆଲୋକମୟ ହେଲା।
And as he prayed, the appearance of his face was changed, and his raiment became white and glittering.
30 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ମୋଶା ଓ ଏଲୀୟ, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ;
And, behold, two men conversed with him, who were Moses and Elijah;
31 ସେମାନେ ଗୌରବରେ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇ, ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ଯେଉଁ ମହାପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ଥିଲେ, ସେ ବିଷୟରେ କହିଲେ।
they appeared in glory, and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.
32 ସେତେବେଳେ ପିତର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗୀମାନେ ନିଦ୍ରାରେ ଭାରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଥିଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ନିଦ୍ରାରୁ ଉଠନ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ସେହି ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ।
And Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep; but having fully awakened, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
33 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବାହାରିବା ସମୟରେ ପିତର ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ଏ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅଛୁ, ଏହା ଉତ୍ତମ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତିନୋଟି କୁଟୀର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ, ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଓ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଗୋଟିଏ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କଅଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଜାଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And it came to pass, that, as they were withdrawing from him, Peter said to Jesus: Master, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tents, one for thee, one for Moses, and one for. Elijah, not knowing what he said.
34 ସେ ଏହା କହୁ କହୁ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ମେଘ ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କଲା, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ମେଘରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଭୟ କଲେ।
While he was saying these things, there came a cloud, and it overshadowed them; and they were afraid as those men entered the cloud.
35 ପୁଣି, ସେହି ମେଘରୁ ଏହି ବାଣୀ ହେଲା, ଏ ଆମ୍ଭର ପୁତ୍ର, ଆମ୍ଭର ମନୋନୀତ, ଏହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ।
And there came a voice from the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son; hear him.
36 ଆଉ, ସେହି ବାଣୀ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଏକାକୀ ଦେଖାଗଲେ। ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ନୀରବ ରହିଲେ, ଆଉ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଦେଖିଥିଲେ, ସେଥିର କୌଣସି କଥା ସେ ସମୟରେ କାହାକୁ କହିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it secret, and told no one, in those days, any of the things which they had seen.
37 ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ସେମାନେ ପର୍ବତରୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସନ୍ତେ ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ।
And it came to pass, that, on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.
38 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ଲୋକସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲା, ହେ ଗୁରୁ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରୁଅଛି ମୋʼ ପୁଅ ପ୍ରତି ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ, କାରଣ ସେ ମୋହର ଗୋଟିଏ ବୋଲି ପିଲା;
And, behold, a man from the multitude cried out, saying: Teacher, I beseech thee, look upon my son, for he is my only child;
39 ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ତାହାକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭୂତ ଧରେ, ଆଉ ସେ ହଠାତ୍ ଚିତ୍କାର କରି ଉଠେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଏପରି ମୋଡ଼ିପକାଏ ଯେ ତାହାର ପାଟିରୁ ଫେଣ ବାହାରେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ତାହାକୁ କ୍ଷତବିକ୍ଷତ କରି ତାହାଠାରୁ କଷ୍ଟରେ ବାହାରିଯାଏ।
and, behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out, and it throws him into convulsions, and causes him to foam, and after depriving him of strength, hardly departs from him.
40 ତାହାକୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରିଥିଲି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And I entreated thy disciples to cast it out; but they were not able.
41 ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଆରେ ଅବିଶ୍ୱାସୀ ଓ ବିପଥଗାମୀ ବଂଶ, କେତେ କାଳ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ରହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବହାର ସହିବି? ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୁଅକୁ ଏଠିକି ନେଇଆସ।”
And Jesus answering, said: O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you! Bring your son hither.
42 ସେ ଆସୁ ଆସୁ ଭୂତ ତାହାକୁ ତଳେ ପକାଇଦେଇ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଭାବରେ ମୋଡ଼ିପକାଇଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଅଶୁଚି ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ଧମକ ଦେଲେ ଓ ବାଳକକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରି ତାହାକୁ ତାହାର ପିତାଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କଲେ।
And while he was coming, the demon cast him to the ground, and threw him into convulsions; but Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and restored the child to health, and gave him back to his father.
43 ସେଥିରେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ମହାଶକ୍ତି ସକାଶେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେଲେ। ମାତ୍ର ସେ କରିଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସକାଶେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଚକିତ ହେଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. And while they were all wondering at every thing that Jesus did, he said to his disciples:
44 “ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କାନରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରାଅ; କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି।”
Let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.
45 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ସେହି କଥା ବୁଝିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ଥିଲା, ଯେପରି ତାହା ସେମାନେ ବୁଝିପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ସେହି କଥା ବିଷୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିଲେ।
But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them, that they might not understand it; and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
46 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କିଏ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତର୍କବିତର୍କ ହେଲା।
And there arose a contention among them, which of them should be greatest.
47 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମନର ତର୍କବିତର୍କ ଜାଣି ଗୋଟିଏ ସାନ ପିଲାକୁ ନେଇ ଆପଣା ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ କରାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
But Jesus perceived the thought of their heart, and he took a little child, and made it stand by him,
48 “ଯେ କେହି ମୋ ନାମରେ ଏହି ସାନ ପିଲାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ମୋତେ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ସେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର, ସେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ।”
and said to them: Whoever will receive this little child on my account, receives me; and whoever will receive me, receives him that sent me. For he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
49 ସେଥିରେ ଯୋହନ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଣକୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଭୂତ ଛଡ଼ାଇବାର ଦେଖିଲୁ, ଆଉ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ନ ହେବାରୁ ତାହାକୁ ମନା କଲୁ।
And John answered and said: Master, we saw a certain one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.
50 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମନା କର ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିପକ୍ଷ ନୁହେଁ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସପକ୍ଷ।”
And Jesus said to him: Forbid him not; for whoever is not against us, is for us.
51 ପରେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କର ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଯିବାର ସମୟ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଆସୁଥିଲା, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନକୁ ଦୃଢ଼ କରି,
And it came to pass, as the time for him to be taken up into heaven had fully come, that he set his face steadfastly to go up to Jerusalem.
52 ନିଜ ଆଗେ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଯାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆୟୋଜନ କରିବାକୁ ଶମିରୋଣୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଗୋଟିଏ ଗ୍ରାମରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ;
And he sent messengers before his face; and they went, and entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for him.
53 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନସ୍ଥ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଦେଖି ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And they did not receive him, because his face was turned toward Jerusalem.
54 ଏହା ଦେଖି ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଯୋହନ, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ଶିଷ୍ୟ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, [ଏଲୀୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯେପରି କରିଥିଲେ, ସେହିପରି] ଆକାଶରୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ପଡ଼ି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରୁ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିବୁ ବୋଲି କଅଣ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା?
And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said: Lord, is it thy will that we command fire to come down from heaven and destroy them, even as Elijah did?
55 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁଯୋଗ କଲେ ଏବଂ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେଉଁ ପ୍ରକାର ଆତ୍ମାର ଲୋକ, ଏହା ଜାଣୁ ନାହଁ। ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାଣ ବିନାଶ କରିବାକୁ ନ ଆସି ବରଂ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି।
But he turned and rebuked them, and said: You know not of what spirit you are.
56 ତାହା ପରେ ସେମାନେ ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗ୍ରାମକୁ ଗଲେ।
And they went to another village.
57 ସେମାନେ ବାଟରେ ଯାଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣ ଯେକୌଣସି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯିବେ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନ କରିବି।
And it came to pass, as they were going on their journey, that a certain man said to him: Lord, I will follow thee wherever thou shalt go.
58 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “କୋକିଶିଆଳିର ଗାତ ଅଛି, ଆକାଶ ପକ୍ଷୀର ବସା ଅଛି, ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରର ମୁଣ୍ଡ ଗୁଞ୍ଜିବାର ସ୍ଥାନ ନାହିଁ।”
And Jesus said to him: The foxes have dens, and the birds of the air have roosts, but the Son of man has not where to lay his head.
59 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଆଉ ଜଣକୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କର।” କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ପ୍ରଥମେ ଯାଇ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏବଂ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଧି ଦେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ରହିବା ପାଇଁ ମୋତେ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ।
And he said to another: Follow me. But he replied: Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.
60 ମାତ୍ର ସେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୃତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ମୃତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସମାଧି ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ, କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର।”
Jesus said: Let the dead bury their own dead; but do you go and publish abroad the kingdom of God.
61 ଆଉ ଜଣେ ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗମନ କରିବି, ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରଥମେ ମୋହର ଗୃହରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବିଦାୟ ନେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋତେ ଅନୁମତି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ।
And another said: I will follow thee, Lord; but first permit me to take leave of those at home.
62 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେ ଲଙ୍ଗଳରେ ହାତ ଦେଇ ପଛକୁ ଚାହେଁ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।”
Jesus said to him: No one that puts his hand to the plow, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
