1 ଏଥିମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦିନେ ଯୀଶୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଥିଲେ ଓ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାର କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆସି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And it came to pass, on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and telling the good tidings, that the High-priests and the Scribes, with the Elders, came upon him, —
2 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁ ଅଧିକାରରେ ଏସମସ୍ତ କରୁଅଛ, ଅବା, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏ ଅଧିକାର ଦେଲା, ସେ କିଏ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ?
and spake, saying, unto him—Tell us, by what authority, these things, thou art doing, and, who, is it, that gave thee this authority.
3 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ କଥା ପଚାରିବି, ମୋତେ କୁହ,
And answering, he said unto them—I too, will question, you, as to a matter, —and tell me!
4 ଯୋହନଙ୍କର ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରୁ ନା ମନୁଷ୍ୟଠାରୁ ଥିଲା?”
The immersion of John, Of heaven, was it, or of men?
5 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର ତର୍କବିତର୍କ କରି କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରୁ ବୋଲି କହିବୁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ କହିବେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲ ନାହିଁ?
And they deliberated together by themselves, saying—If we say, Of heaven, he will say, Wherefore did ye not believe him?
6 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ମନୁଷ୍ୟଠାରୁ ବୋଲି କହିବୁ, ତେବେ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ମାରିପକାଇବେ, କାରଣ ଯୋହନ ଯେ ଜଣେ ଭାବବାଦୀ, ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୃଢ଼ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ।
But, if we say, Of men, the people, one and all, will stone us, for, persuaded, they are, that, John, was, a prophet.
7 ଏଣୁ ତାହା କେଉଁଠାରୁ ହେଲା, ଏହା ଜାଣି ନାହୁଁ ବୋଲି ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ।
And they answered, that they knew not whence.
8 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ଅଧିକାରରେ ଏସମସ୍ତ କରୁଅଛି, ତାହା ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିବି ନାହିଁ।”
And, Jesus, said unto them—Neither do, I, tell, you, by what authority, these things, I am doing.
9 ଏହାପରେ ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। “ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଗୋଟିଏ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର କରି ତାହା କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭାଗରେ ଦେଇ ବହୁକାଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବିଦେଶକୁ ଗଲେ।
And he began, unto the people, to be speaking this parable: —A man, planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went from home for a long time.
10 ଆଉ କୃଷକମାନେ ଯେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଫଳରୁ ଭାଗ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଜଣେ ଦାସକୁ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେହି କୃଷକମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରହାର କରି ଶୂନ୍ୟ ହସ୍ତରେ ଫେରାଇଦେଲେ।
And, in due season, he sent unto the husbandmen, a servant, that, of the fruit of the vineyard, they might give him; but, the husbandmen, having beaten him, sent him away empty.
11 ସେ ପୁଣି, ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଦାସକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ; ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରହାର ଓ ଅପମାନ କରି ଶୂନ୍ୟ ହସ୍ତରେ ଫେରାଇଦେଲେ;
And he, further, sent another servant; but, they, beating, that one also, and dishonouring him, sent him away, empty.
12 ପରେ ସେ ତୃତୀୟ ଜଣକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପଠାଇଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ସୁଦ୍ଧା କ୍ଷତବିକ୍ଷତ କରି ବାହାରେ ଫୋପାଡ଼ିଦେଲେ।
And he, further, sent, a third; but, they, bruising, this one also, thrust him out.
13 ସେଥିରେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାଲିକ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ କଅଣ କରିବି? ମୋହର ପ୍ରିୟ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ପଠାଇବି, କେଜାଣି ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ମାନ୍ୟ କରିବେ।
And the lord of the vineyard said—What shall I do? I will send my son, the beloved, —It may be, that, him, they will respect.
14 ମାତ୍ର କୃଷକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପରସ୍ପର ତର୍କବିତର୍କ କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ ତ ଉତ୍ତରାଧିକାରୀ, ଏହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବା, ଯେପରି ଅଧିକାର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ହେବ।
But he husbandmen, seeing him, began to deliberate one with another, saying—This, is, the heir: Let us slay him, that, ours, may be, the inheritance.
15 ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ବାହାରେ ପକାଇ ବଧ କଲେ। ଅତଏବ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ମାଲିକ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କଅଣ କରିବେ?
And, thrusting him forth outside the vineyard, they slew him. What, then, will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 ସେ ଆସି ଏହି କୃଷକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବେ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଦେବେ। ଏହା ଶୁଣି ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ତାହା ନ ହେଉ।”
He will come, and destroy these husbandmen, and give the vineyard unto others. But, when they heard it, they said—Far be it!
17 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଚାହିଁ କହିଲେ, “ତେବେ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ ଲେଖାଅଛି, ତାହାର ଅର୍ଥ କଅଣ, ‘ଗୃହନିର୍ମାଣକାରୀମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ପଥରକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ, ତାହା କୋଣର ପ୍ରଧାନ ପଥର ହେଲା?’
But, he, looking at them, said—What, then, is this that is written, —A stone which the builders’ rejected, The same, hath become, head of the corner?
18 ଯେ କେହି ସେହି ପଥର ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିବ, ସେ ଖଣ୍ଡବିଖଣ୍ଡ ହେବ, ପୁଣି, ସେହି ପଥର ଯାହା ଉପରେ ପଡ଼ିବ, ତାହାକୁ ତାହା ଚୁର୍ଣ୍ଣବିଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବ।”
Every one who falleth on that stone, will be sorely bruised, but, on whomsoever it shall fall, it will utterly destroy him.
19 ଏଥିରେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନେ ସେହି ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ସେହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରି କହିଥିଲେ ବୋଲି ସେମାନେ ବୁଝିଲେ।
And the Scribes and the High-priests sought to thrust on him their hands, in that very hour; and feared the people; for they perceived that, against them, spake he this parable.
20 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ରାଜ୍ୟପାଳଙ୍କ ହାତରେ ଓ ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଶାସନର ଅଧୀନରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୁଯୋଗ ଖୋଜି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ କଥାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଧରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଯେଉଁମାନେ କପଟରେ ନିଜ ନିଜକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ଦେଖାଉଥିବା ଚୋରମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ।
And, watching narrowly, they sent forth suborned men, feigning themselves to be, righteous, that they might lay hold of a word of his, so as to deliver him up unto the rule and the authority of the governor.
21 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, ଆପଣ ଠିକ୍ କଥା କହନ୍ତି ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, କାହାରି ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସତ୍ୟ ରୂପେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପଥ ବିଷୟରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦିଅନ୍ତି।
And they questioned him, saying—Teacher! we know that, rightly, thou speakest and teachest, and respectest no person, but, in truth, the way of God, dost teach:
22 କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ କର ଦେବା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବିଧିସଙ୍ଗତ କି ନୁହେଁ?
Is it allowable for us to give, unto Caesar, tribute, or not?
23 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଚତୁରତା ବୁଝି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ମୁଦ୍ରା ଦେଖାଅ।
But, observing their villainy, he said unto them—
24 ଏଥିରେ କାହାର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଓ ନାମ ଅଛି?” ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, କାଇସରଙ୍କର।
Shew me a denary. Of whom, hath it an image and inscription? And, they, said—Of Caesar.
25 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତେବେ ଯାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କର, ତାହା କାଇସରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ; ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର, ତାହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଦିଅ।
And, he, said unto them—Well then! render the things of Caesar, unto Caesar, and the things of God, unto God.
26 ଏଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥାର ଭୁଲ୍ ଧରି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତରରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ନୀରବ ରହିଲେ।
And they could not lay hold of the saying, before the people; and, marvelling at his answer, they held their peace.
27 ଏହାପରେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନକୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନ ଥିବା କେତେକ ସାଦ୍ଦୂକୀ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପଚାରିଲେ,
But there came near certain of the Sadducees, they who say, Resurrection, there is none! and questioned him,
28 ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ମୋଶା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲେଖିଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଯଦି କୌଣସି ଲୋକର ଭାଇ, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତାହାର ଭାଇ ତାହାର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବଂଶ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବ।
saying—Teacher! Moses, wrote for us, If one’s brother die, having a wife, and, he, be, childless, that his brother shall take the wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 ଆଚ୍ଛା, ସାତ ଭାଇ ଥିଲେ; ପ୍ରଥମଟି ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ବିବାହ କଲା ଓ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମଲା;
Seven brethren, therefore, there were, —and, the first, taking a wife, died childless,
30 ପରେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟଟି ଓ ତୃତୀୟଟି ତାହାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ;
And, the second,
31 ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର ସାତ ଜଣଯାକ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମଲେ।
and the third, took her, —yea, likewise, even the seven; They left no children, and died:
32 ଶେଷରେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଟି ମଧ୍ୟ ମଲା।
Later on, the woman also, died.
33 ତେବେ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସେ କାହାର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ହେବ? ସାତ ଜଣଯାକ ତ ତାହାକୁ ବିବାହ କରିଥିଲେ।
The woman, therefore, in the resurrection, Of which of them, doth she become wife? for, the seven, had her to wife.
And Jesus said unto them—The sons of this age, marry, and are given in marriage, — (aiōn g165)
35 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସେହି ଜଗତ ଓ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଗଣିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିବାହ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ବିବାହିତା ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; (aiōn g165)
But, they who have been accounted worthy, that age, to obtain, and the resurrection that is from among the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage; (aiōn g165)
36 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଆଉ ମରି ପାରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ରୁହନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନର ସନ୍ତାନ ହେବାରୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
For they cannot, even die any more, —for, equal unto messengers, are they, and are, sons of God, Of the resurrection, being, sons.
37 ମାତ୍ର ମୃତମାନେ ଯେ ଉଠିବେ, ଏହା ମୋଶା ମଧ୍ୟ ବୁଦାର ଘଟଣାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ‘ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର, ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର’ ବୋଲି କହି ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
But, that the dead do rise, even Moses, disclosed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord—The God of Abraham and God of Isaac and God of Jacob:
38 ସେ ତ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କର; କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଜୀବିତ ଅଟନ୍ତି।”
Now, God, he is not, of the dead, but, of the living, —for, all, unto him, do live.
39 ସେଥିରେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେ ଜଣ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆପଣ ଠିକ୍ କହିଲେ।
And certain of the Scribes, answering, said—Teacher! Well, hast thou spoken.
40 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଆଉ ସାହସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
For, no longer, were they daring to ask him any questions.
41 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ଏହା ଲୋକେ କିପରି କହନ୍ତି?
And he said unto them—How say they, that, the Christ, is, David’s Son?
42 କାରଣ ଦାଉଦ ନିଜେ ଗୀତସଂହିତା ପୁସ୍ତକରେ କହନ୍ତି, ‘ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
For, David himself, saith, in [the] book of Psalms: Said the Lord, unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand,
43 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାଦପୀଠ କରି ନାହୁଁ, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦକ୍ଷିଣରେ ବସିଥାଅ।’
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
44 ଅତଏବ ଦାଉଦ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି; ତେବେ ସେ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ଦାଉଦର ସନ୍ତାନ?”
David, therefore, calleth, him Lord: How, then, his son, is he?
45 ପରେ ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And, all the people hearing, he said unto the disciples:
46 “ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସାବଧାନ! ସେମାନେ ଲମ୍ବା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧି ବୁଲିବାକୁ, ପୁଣି, ହାଟବଜାରରେ ନମସ୍କାର, ସମାଜଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଆସନ ଓ ଭୋଜିରେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ସ୍ଥାନ ପାଇବାକୁ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି;
Be taking heed of the Scribes—Who desire to walk about in long robes, and are fond of salutations in the markets, and first seats in the synagogues, and first couches in the chief meals, —
47 ସେମାନେ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଛଳନାରେ ବହୁତ ସମୟ ଧରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଗୁରୁତର ଦଣ୍ଡ ପାଇବେ।”
Who devour the houses of widows, and, for a show, are a long time at prayer. These, shall receive, a heavier sentence.
