ଲୂକ 19
1 ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଯିରୀହୋରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ତାହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଇ ଯାଉଥିଲେ।
And he entered and was passing through Jericho.
2 ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସେଠାରେ ଜଖୀୟ ନାମରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଧାନ କର ଆଦାୟକାରୀ ଓ ଧନୀ ଲୋକ।
And behold, a man called by name Zacchæus; and he was a chief publican, and he was rich.
3 ଯୀଶୁ କିଏ, ତାହା ଦେଖିବାକୁ ସେ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଭିଡ଼ ସକାଶୁ ଦେଖି ପାରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ବାଙ୍ଗର ଥିଲେ।
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.
4 ଏଣୁ ସେ ଆଗକୁ ଦୌଡ଼ିଯାଇ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଡିମ୍ବିରିବୃକ୍ଷରେ ଚଢ଼ିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେହି ବାଟ ଦେଇ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଯିବାର ଥିଲା।
And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 ଯୀଶୁ ସେ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସି ଉପରକୁ ଚାହିଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଜଖୀୟ, ଶୀଘ୍ର ଓହ୍ଲାଇଆସ, କାରଣ ଆଜି ମୋତେ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଘରେ ରହିବାକୁ ହେବ।”
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to-day I must abide at thy house.
6 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସି ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ଘରକୁ ଡାକିଲେ।
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 ତାହା ଦେଖି ସମସ୍ତେ ବଚସା କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ସେ ଜଣେ ପାପୀ ଲୋକ ଘରେ ରହିବାକୁ ଗଲାଣି।
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He is gone in to lodge with a man that is a sinner.
8 କିନ୍ତୁ ଜଖୀୟ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ମୋହର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତିର ଅଧା ମୁଁ ଗରିବମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ଯଦି ଅନ୍ୟାୟରେ କାହାରିଠାରୁ କିଛି ନେଇଥାଏ, ତେବେ ଚାରି ଗୁଣରେ ତାହା ଫେରାଇ ଦେଉଅଛି।
And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have wrongfully exacted aught of any man, I restore fourfold.
9 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କହିଲେ, “ଆଜି ଏହି ଗୃହରେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଯେଣୁ ଜଖୀୟ ମଧ୍ୟ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଜଣେ ସନ୍ତାନ;
And Jesus said unto him, To-day is salvation come to this house, forasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 କାରଣ ଯାହା ହଜିଅଛି, ତାହା ଖୋଜି ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହି କଥାସବୁ ଶୁଣିବା ସମୟରେ ସେ ଆହୁରି ଗୋଟିଏ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହୋଇଥିଲେ ଓ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଅତି ଶୀଘ୍ର ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇବ ବୋଲି ସେମାନେ ମନେ କରୁଥିଲେ।
And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and [because] they supposed that the kingdom of God was immediately to appear.
12 ଏଣୁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଜଣେ ଉଚ୍ଚବଂଶର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜପଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଫେରିଆସିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦୂର ଦେଶକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କଲେ।
He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 ସେ ଆପଣାର ଦଶ ଜଣ ଦାସଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଶଗୋଟି ମୋହର ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, ମୋହର ଆସିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବେପାର କର।
And he called ten servants of his, and gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade ye [herewith] till I come.
14 କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦେଶବାସୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କରୁଥିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛରେ ଦୂତ ପଠାଇ କହିଲେ, ଏ ଲୋକ ଯେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଶାସନ କରିବ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ନାହିଁ।
But his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.
15 ପରେ ସେ ରାଜପଦ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଫେରିଆସିଲେ, ଯେଉଁ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବେପାର କରି କିଏ କେତେ ଲାଭ କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ଜାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ଡାକି ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ।
And it came to pass, when he was come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, unto whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by trading.
16 ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଜଣକ ଆସି କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମୋହର ଆଉ ଦଶଗୋଟି ମୋହର ଲାଭ କରିଅଛି।
And the first came before him, saying, Lord, thy pound hath made ten pounds more.
17 ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ବେଶ୍, ଉତ୍ତମ ଦାସ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅତି ଅଳ୍ପ ବିଷୟରେ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିବାରୁ ଦଶ ଗୋଟି ନଗର ଉପରେ ଅଧିକାରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅ।
And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant: because thou wast found faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 ପୁଣି, ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଜଣକ ଆସି କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମୋହର ଆଉ ପାଞ୍ଚୋଟି ମୋହର ଲାଭ କରିଅଛି।
And the second came, saying, Thy pound, Lord, hath made five pounds.
19 ସେ ତାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପାଞ୍ଚଗୋଟି ନଗର ଉପରେ ଅଧିକାରପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅ।
And he said unto him also, Be thou also over five cities.
20 ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଆସି କହିଲା, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଏହି ଆପଣଙ୍କର ମୋହର, ମୁଁ ଏହା ଗାମୁଛାରେ ବାନ୍ଧି ରଖି ଦେଇଥିଲି;
And another came, saying, Lord, behold, [here is] thy pound, which I kept laid up in a napkin:
21 କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲି, ଯେଣୁ ଆପଣ ଜଣେ କଠୋର ଲୋକ, ଯାହା ରଖି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଉଠାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ବୁଣି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତି, ତାହା କାଟନ୍ତି।
for I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that which thou layedst not down, and reapest that which thou didst not sow.
22 ସେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଦାସ, ତୋର ମୁହଁର କଥାରେ ତୋହର ବିଚାର କରିବି। ମୁଁ ଜଣେ କଠୋର ଲୋକ, ଯାହା ରଖି ନ ଥାଏ, ତାହା ଉଠାଇନିଏ, ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ବୁଣି ନ ଥାଏ, ତାହା କାଟେ, ଏହା କଅଣ ଜାଣିଥିଲୁ?
He saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up that which I laid not down, and reaping that which I did not sow;
23 ତେବେ ବ୍ୟାଙ୍କରେ କାହିଁକି ମୋହର ଧନ ରଖିଲୁ ନାହିଁ? ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ଆସି ସୁଧ ସହିତ ତାହା ଆଦାୟ କରିଥାଆନ୍ତି।
then wherefore gavest thou not my money into the bank, and I at my coming should have required it with interest?
24 ପୁଣି, ସେ ପାଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏହାଠାରୁ ଏହି ମୋହର ନେଇଯାଇ, ଯାହାର ଦଶ ମୋହର ଅଛି, ତାହାକୁ ଦିଅ।
And he said unto them that stood by, Take away from him the pound, and give it unto him that hath the ten pounds.
25 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ତାହାର ତ ଦଶ ମୋହର ଅଛି।
And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.
26 ‘ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେକୌଣସି ଲୋକର ଅଛି, ତାହାକୁ ଅଧିକ ଦିଆଯିବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯାହାର ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ପାଖରେ ଯାହା ଅଛି, ତାହା ହିଁ ତାହାଠାରୁ ନିଆଯିବ।
I say unto you, that unto every one that hath shall be given; but from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ମୁଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଶାସନ କରେ ବୋଲି ଇଚ୍ଛା କରି ନ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏଠାକୁ ଆଣି ମୋହର ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ହତ୍ୟା କର।’”
But these mine enemies, that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହି ଯୀଶୁ ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଆଡ଼େ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And when he had thus spoken, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 ଆଉ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ଜୀତ ପର୍ବତ ପାଖରେ ଥିବା ବୈଥ୍ଫାଗୀ ଓ ବେଥନୀୟା ଗ୍ରାମ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ଆପଣା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହି ପଠାଇଲେ,
And it came to pass, when he drew nigh unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount that is called Olivet, he sent two of the disciples,
30 “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଥିବା ସେହି ଗ୍ରାମକୁ ଯାଅ; ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସମୟରେ, ଯାହା ଉପରେ କେହି କେବେ ବସି ନାହିଁ; ଏପରି ଗୋଟିଏ ଗଧଛୁଆକୁ ବନ୍ଧା ହୋଇଥିବାର ଦେଖିବ; ତାହାକୁ ଫିଟାଇ ନେଇଆସ।
saying, Go your way into the village over against [you]; in which as ye enter ye shall find a colt tied, whereon no man ever yet sat: loose him, and bring him.
31 ଆଉ ଯଦି କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ‘କାହିଁକି ଫିଟାଉଅଛ’ ବୋଲି ପଚାରେ, ତେବେ ଏପରି କହିବ, ‘କାରଣ ଏହାଠାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅଛି।’”
And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say, The Lord hath need of him.
32 ସେଥିରେ ପଠାଯାଇଥିବା ଲୋକେ ଯାଇ, ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି କହିଥିଲେ, ସେହିପରି ଦେଖିଲେ।
And they that were sent went away, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଗଧଛୁଆକୁ ଫିଟାଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାର ମାଲିକମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, କାହିଁକି ଗଧଛୁଆକୁ ଫିଟାଉଅଛ?
And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, କାରଣ ଏହାଠାରେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅଛି।
And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣି ତାହା ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଲୁଗା ପକାଇ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ବସାଇଲେ।
And they brought him to Jesus: and they threw their garments upon the colt, and set Jesus thereon.
36 ଆଉ ସେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଲୋକେ ବାଟରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଲୁଗା ବିଛାଇ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And as he went, they spread their garments in the way.
37 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଜୀତ ପର୍ବତର ଗଡ଼ାଣି ସ୍ଥାନର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଶିଷ୍ୟଦଳ ଦେଖିଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ମହତର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରୁ କରୁ କହିଲେ,
And as he was now drawing nigh, [even] at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;
38 ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଯେଉଁ ରାଜା ଆସୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଧନ୍ୟ। ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଓ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱଲୋକରେ ମହିମା।
saying, Blessed [is] the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 ସେଥିରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେ ଜଣ ଫାରୂଶୀ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧମକ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ।
And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
40 ସେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଏମାନେ ତୁନି ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ, ପଥରଗୁଡ଼ାକ ପାଟି କରିବେ।”
And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
41 ଆଉ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ନଗରକୁ ଦେଖି ତାହା ନିମନ୍ତେ ରୋଦନ କରି କହିଲେ,
And when he drew nigh, he saw the city and wept over it,
42 “ତୁ, ହଁ, ତୁ ହିଁ ଯଦି ଆଜି ଶାନ୍ତିର ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତୁ! ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକ ତୋʼ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛି।
saying, If thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 ଯେତେବେଳେ ଈଶ୍ବର ତୋତେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ ତାହା ତୁ ନ ଜାଣିବା ହେତୁରୁ, ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ତୋʼ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନେ ତୋର ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ବନ୍ଧ ବାନ୍ଧି ତୋତେ ଘେରି ଅବରୋଧ କରିବେ,
For the days shall come upon thee, when thine enemies shall cast up a bank about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 ପୁଣି, ତୋତେ ଓ ତୋʼ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିବା ତୋʼ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୂମିରେ କଚାଡ଼ି ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତୋʼ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପଥରକୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଗୋଟିଏ ପଥର ଉପରେ, ରହିବାକୁ ଦେବେ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ସମୟ ତୋʼ ଉପରେ ଆସିବ।”
and shall dash thee to the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45 ଆଉ, ସେ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ବେପାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ,
And he entered into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold,
46 “ଲେଖାଅଛି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭର ଗୃହ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନାଗୃହ ହେବ,’ କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ବାସସ୍ଥାନ କରିଅଛ।”
saying unto them, It is written, And my house shall be a house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of robbers.
47 ଆଉ ସେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଥିଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ନେତାମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ,
And he was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people sought to destroy him:
48 କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଗ୍ରହରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଶୁଣୁଥିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ କଅଣ କରିବେ ବୋଲି ସ୍ଥିର କରିପାରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
and they could not find what they might do; for the people all hung upon him, listening.
