ଲୂକ 18
1 କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ନ ହୋଇ ସର୍ବଦା ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ଯେ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ, ଏହି ବିଷୟରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ,
Then Jesus told them a parable about the need to pray at all times and not lose heart.
2 “ଗୋଟିଏ ନଗରରେ ଜଣେ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା ଥିଲେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ କି ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ମାନୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.
3 ସେହି ନଗରରେ ଜଣେ ବିଧବା ଥିଲା, ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଅନ୍ୟାୟ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିଚାର ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଥରକୁଥର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ କହୁଥିଲା।
There was also a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’
4 ଆଉ ସେ କେତେ ସମୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସହମତ ହେଉ ନ ଥିଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ପରେ ସେ ମନେ ମନେ କହିଲେ, ‘ଯଦିବା ମୁଁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରେ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ମାନେ ନାହିଁ,
For a while he would not do so, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God nor respect man,
5 ତଥାପି ଏହି ବିଧବାଟା ମୋତେ କଷ୍ଟ ଦେଉଥିବାରୁ ମୁଁ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟାୟର ବିଚାର କରିବି, ନୋହିଲେ ସେ ସବୁବେଳେ ଆସି ମୋତେ ବ୍ୟତିବ୍ୟସ୍ତ କରୁଥିବ।’”
yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not wear me out by continually coming to me.’”
6 ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତା କଅଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଶୁଣ।
Then the Lord said, “Consider what this unrighteous judge said.
7 ତେବେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ମନୋନୀତ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦିନରାତି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଡାକୁଥାଆନ୍ତି, ସେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତି କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟାୟର ପ୍ରତିକାର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଦୀର୍ଘସହିଷ୍ଣୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି?
If even he ultimately rendered a just decision, will not God patiently listen to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night, and give them justice?
8 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ସେ ଶୀଘ୍ର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଅନ୍ୟାୟର ପ୍ରତିକାର କରିବେ। ତଥାପି ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ର ଆସି ପୃଥିବୀରେ କଅଣ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦେଖିବେ?”
I tell you that he will bring about justice for them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
9 ନିଜ ନିଜକୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ମନେ କରି ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରୁଥିବା କେତେକ ଆତ୍ମନିର୍ଭରଶୀଳ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସେ ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଲେ,
He also told this parable to some who were confident in their own righteous and regarded others with contempt:
10 “ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଗଲେ, ଜଣେ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣକ କରଗ୍ରାହୀ।
“Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other was a tax collector.
11 ଫାରୂଶୀ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ‘ହେ ଈଶ୍ବର, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦେଉଅଛି ଯେ, ମୁଁ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପରି ଅତ୍ୟାଚାରୀ, ଅଧାର୍ମିକ, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ କିମ୍ବା ଏହି କରଗ୍ରାହୀ ପରି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ନୁହେଁ;
The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed like this: ‘God, I thank yoʋ that I am not like other people: swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
12 ମୁଁ ସପ୍ତାହରେ ଦୁଇ ଥର ଉପବାସ କରିଥାଏ ଓ ମୋହର ସମସ୍ତ ଆଦାୟର ଦଶମାଂଶ ଦେଇଥାଏ।’
I fast twice a week, and I give tithes of all that I get.’
13 କିନ୍ତୁ କରଗ୍ରାହୀ ଦୂରରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ ଆଡ଼େ ଅନେଇବାକୁ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ସାହସ କଲା ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ନିଜ ଛାତିରେ ମାରିହୋଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ‘ହେ ଈଶ୍ବର, ମୁଁ ପାପୀ ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।’
But the tax collector stood at a distance and would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
14 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ସେ ଲୋକ ନୁହେଁ, ବରଂ କର ଆଦାୟକାରୀ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଗଣିତ ହୋଇ ନିଜ ଘରକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲା; କାରଣ ଯେ କେହି ଆପଣାକୁ ଉନ୍ନତ ବୋଲି ଦେଖାଏ, ତାହାକୁ ନତ କରାଯିବ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ଆପଣାକୁ ନତ କରେ, ତାହାକୁ ଉନ୍ନତ କରାଯିବ।”
I tell you, this man went down to his home justified rather than the other one. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
15 ଯୀଶୁ ଯେପରି ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଲୋକେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ତାହା ଦେଖି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧମକ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
Now people were even bringing their babies to Jesus so that he might touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked those who were bringing them,
16 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ପାଖକୁ ଡାକି କହିଲେ, “ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୋ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବାକୁ ଦିଅ, ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନା କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର।
but Jesus called for them and said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
17 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ଶିଶୁ ପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ଗ୍ରହଣ ନ କରେ, ସେ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।”
Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will certainly not enter it.”
18 ଜଣେ ଯିହୁଦୀ ଧର୍ମଗୁରୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ହେ ସଦ୍ଗୁରୁ, ଅନନ୍ତ ଜୀବନର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ କଅଣ କରିବି? (aiōnios g166)
Then a certain ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (aiōnios g166)
19 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋତେ ସତ୍ ବୋଲି କାହିଁକି କହୁଅଛ? ଜଣଙ୍କ ବିନା, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବିନା ଅନ୍ୟ କେହି ସତ୍ ନୁହେଁ।
Jesus said to him, “Why do yoʋ call me good? No one is good except God alone.
20 ଆଜ୍ଞାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ତ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ, ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର ନାହିଁ, ନରହତ୍ୟା କର ନାହିଁ, ଚୋରି କର ନାହିଁ, ମିଥ୍ୟା ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ, ଆପଣା ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଦର କର।”
Yoʋ know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother.’”
21 ସେ କହିଲେ, ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ମୁଁ ଯୌବନକାଳରୁ ପାଳନ କରି ଆସିଅଛି।
The man said, “I have kept all these commandments from the time I was a young boy.”
22 ଯୀଶୁ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଉ ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଷୟ ଉଣା ଅଛି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜର ସବୁ ବିକି ଦେଇ ଗରିବମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାଣ୍ଟିଦିଅ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ଧନ ପାଇବ; ପୁଣି, ଆସି ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କର।”
When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing yoʋ still lack: Sell everything yoʋ have and distribute the money to the poor, and yoʋ will have treasure in heaven; then come follow me.”
23 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଶୁଣି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଅତିଶୟ ଧନୀ ଥିଲେ।
But when the man heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was extremely rich.
24 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି କହିଲେ, “ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ଧନ ଅଛି, ସେମାନେ କେଡ଼େ କଷ୍ଟରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରନ୍ତି!
When Jesus saw that the man had become very sorrowful, he said, “How difficult it will be for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!
25 କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଧନୀ ଲୋକର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବରଂ ଛୁଞ୍ଚିର ଛିଦ୍ର ଦେଇ ଓଟର ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସହଜ।”
For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
26 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହା ଶୁଣିଲେ, ସେମାନେ କହିଲେ, ତେବେ କିଏ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇ ପାରେ?
Those who heard this said, “Who then can be saved?”
27 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଯାହା ମଣିଷର ଅସମ୍ଭବ, ତାହା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସମ୍ଭବ।”
Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”
28 ସେଥିରେ ପିତର କହିଲେ, ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଜ ନିଜର ସବୁ କିଛି ଛାଡ଼ି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହୋଇଅଛୁ।
Then Peter said, “Behold, we have left everything and followed yoʋ.”
29 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସତ୍ୟ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୃହ କିମ୍ବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କିମ୍ବା ଭାଇ କିମ୍ବା ପିତାମାତା କିମ୍ବା ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି
Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, parents, brothers, wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
31 ପରେ ଯୀଶୁ ବାର ଜଣ ଶିଷ୍ୟଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାଉଅଛୁ, ଆଉ ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଲେଖାଯାଇଅଛି, ସେ ସମସ୍ତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କଠାରେ ସଫଳ ହେବ;
Then Jesus took the twelve aside and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
32 କାରଣ ସେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେବେ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରିବେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର କରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଛେପ ପକାଇବେ,
For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, and he will be mocked, insulted, and spit upon.
33 ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୋରଡ଼ା ମାରି ବଧ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ତୃତୀୟ ଦିନରେ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଉଠିବେ।”
After flogging him, they will kill him, and on the third day he will rise again.”
34 କିନ୍ତୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଏହିସବୁ ବିଷୟ କିଛି ବୁଝିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ରହିଲା, ପୁଣି, ଯାହା କୁହାଯାଉଥିଲା, ସେ ସବୁ ବୁଝୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
But the disciples did not understand any of these things; this statement was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend what was being said.
35 ସେ ଯିରୀହୋର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଅନ୍ଧ ବାଟ ପାଖରେ ବସି ଭିକ ମାଗୁଥିଲା।
As Jesus drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging.
36 ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଯାଉଥିବାର ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣି କଥା କଅଣ ବୋଲି ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା।
When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was happening.
37 ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ନାଜରିତୀୟ ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ବାଟ ଦେଇ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି।
They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, ହେ ଯୀଶୁ, ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
So he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 ମାତ୍ର ଆଗରେ ଯାଉଥିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁନି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଧମକ ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା, ହେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ମୋତେ ଦୟା କରନ୍ତୁ।
Then those who were out in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଅନ୍ଧକୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ; ଯେତେବେଳେ ଅନ୍ଧଟି ପାଖକୁ ଆସିଲା, ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ,
So Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When the man drew near, Jesus asked him,
41 “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କଅଣ କରିବି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?” ଅନ୍ଧ କହିଲା, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ଯେପରି ଦେଖି ପାରିବି।
“What do yoʋ want me to do for yoʋ?” He said, “Lord, I want to receive my sight.”
42 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଅ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିଅଛି।”
So Jesus said to him, “Receive yoʋr sight; yoʋr faith has healed yoʋ.”
43 ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ସେ ଦେଖି ପାରିଲେ ଏବଂ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ମହିମା କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରୁ କରୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଚାଲିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ ଏବଂ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କଲେ।
Immediately he received his sight and began following Jesus, glorifying God. And when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.
