ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ତୃତୀୟ ପୁସ୍ତକ 20
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋଶାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
2 “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଆହୁରି କହିବ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅବା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବାସକାରୀ ବିଦେଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଯଦି ଆପଣା ବଂଶର କାହାକୁ ମୋଲକ୍ ଦେବତାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତାହାର ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡ ହେବ ଓ ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପଥର ମାରି ବଧ କରିବେ।
Unto the sons of Israel, therefore shalt thou say, What man soever, there may be of the sons of Israel, or of the sojourners that sojourn in Israel, that giveth of his seed unto Molech, he shall, surely be put to death, —the people of the land shall stone him with stones;
3 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ରଖିବା ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିବା; କାରଣ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବାକୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ନାମ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବାକୁ ମୋଲକ୍ ଦେବତା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନକୁ ଦେଇଅଛି।
I, also, will set my face against that man, and will cut him off out of the midst of his people, —because of his seed, hath he given unto Molech, seeing that he hath made unclean my sanctuary, even to the extent of profaning my holy name.
4 ଆଉ, ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ସେହି ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନକୁ ମୋଲକ୍ ଦେବତା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରେ, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଯଦି ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ କୌଣସି ରୂପେ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଚକ୍ଷୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ତାହାକୁ ବଧ ନ କରନ୍ତି,
But, if the people of the land, do even hide, their eyes from that man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, —so as not to put him to death,
5 ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଲୋକ ଓ ତାହାର ପରିବାରକୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା; ପୁଣି, ତାହାକୁ ଓ ମୋଲକ୍ ଦେବତା ସହିତ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହାର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିବା।
then will I myself, set my face against that man, and against his family, —and will cut him off, and all that follow unchastely after him—in going unchastely after Molech—out of the midst of their people.
6 ଆଉ, ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଭୂତୁଡ଼ିଆ ଓ ଗୁଣିଆ ଲୋକର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହୁଏ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ପ୍ରାଣୀ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ରଖିବା ଓ ତାହାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କରିବା।
The person also that turneth unto mediums and unto oracles, in going unchastely after them, then will I set my face against that person, and will cut him off out of the midst of his people.
7 ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର କର ଓ ପବିତ୍ର ହୁଅ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ।
Therefore shall ye hallow yourselves and be holy, —Because I—Yahweh, am your God.
8 ଆହୁରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧି ମାନ୍ୟ କରି ପାଳନ କରିବ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ରକାରୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ।
Therefore shall ye observe my statutes, and do them, —I—Yahweh, am he that is hallowing you.
9 ଯେକେହି ଆପଣା ପିତା କି ଆପଣା ମାତାକୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦିଏ, ସେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବ; ସେ ତାହାର ପିତାକୁ କି ତାହାର ମାତାକୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେଇଅଛି; ତାହା ଉପରେ ତାହାର ରକ୍ତ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।
When, any man whatsoever, curseth his father or his mother, he shall surely be put to death, —his father or his mother, hath he cursed, his blood, shall be upon himself.
10 ଆଉ, ଯେକେହି ପରର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ସହିତ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ, ଯେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ସହିତ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରେ, ସେହି ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ଓ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରିଣୀ ଦୁହେଁ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବେ।
And, any man, who committeth adultery with the wife of any other man, he that committeth adultery with the wife of his neighbour shall surely be put to death—the adulterer, and the adulteress.
11 ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ପିତୃର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ସହିତ ଶାରୀରିକ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ରଖେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ପିତାର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରିଅଛି; ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।
And any man who lieth with his father’s wife, the shame of his father, hath uncovered, —they both shall, surely be put to death—their blood shall be upon themselves.
12 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି କେହି ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରବଧୂ ସହିତ ଶୟନ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବେ; ସେମାନେ ପାଷାଣ୍ଡ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।
And any man who lieth with his daughter-in-law, they both shall, surely be put to death, confusion, have they wrought—their blood shall be upon themselves.
13 ପୁଣି, ପୁରୁଷ ଯଦି ପୁରୁଷ ସହିତ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଯୌନ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ରଖେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।
And any man who lieth with mankind as with womankind, an abomination, have both of them wrought, —they shall, surely be put to death, —their blood, shall be upon themselves.
14 ଆଉ, କେହି ଯଦି କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଓ ତାହାର ମାତାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ତେବେ ତାହା ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଅଟେ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେପରି ଏପରି ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ଉଭୟ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହେବେ।
And, any man, who taketh a woman and her mother, wickedness, it is, —in fire, shall both he and they be consumed, that wickedness be not in your midst.
15 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି କେହି ପଶୁ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବ; ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେହି ପଶୁକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ବଧ କରିବ।
And, any man, who hath carnal knowledge of a beast, shall, surely be put to death, —and, the beast, shall ye slay.
16 ପୁଣି, କୌଣସି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପଶୁ ସହିତ ସହବାସ କରିବାକୁ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ତାହା ଆଗରେ ଶୟନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଓ ପଶୁକୁ ବଧ କରିବ; ସେମାନେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।
And, a woman, who approacheth unto any beast, to couch down thereto, then shalt thou slay the woman and the beast, —they shall surely be put to death, —their blood, shall be upon themselves.
17 ଆଉ, ଯଦି କେହି ଆପଣା ଭଗିନୀକୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଆପଣା ପିତୃକନ୍ୟା କି ମାତୃକନ୍ୟାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ ଓ ଦୁହେଁ ପରସ୍ପରର ଉଲଙ୍ଗତା ଦେଖନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ତାହା ଲଜ୍ଜାର ବିଷୟ; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ; ସେ ଆପଣା ଭଗିନୀର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରିଅଛି; ସେ ଆପଣା ଅପରାଧ ବୋହିବ।
And, any man, who taketh his sister—his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter, and vieweth her shame, and, she, vieweth his shame, a disgrace, it is, —they shall therefore be cut off in the sight of the sons of their people, —the shame of his sister, hath he uncovered—his iniquity, shall he bear.
18 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି କେହି ରଜସ୍ୱଳା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସହିତ ଶୟନ କରେ ଓ ତାହାର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେହି ପୁରୁଷ ତାହାର ରକ୍ତର କ୍ଷରଣ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବାରୁ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଆପଣା ରକ୍ତର କ୍ଷରଣ ଅନାବୃତ କରିବାରୁ, ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବେ।
And, any man, who lieth with a woman having her sickness, and uncovereth her shame, her fountain, hath he exposed, she, also hath uncovered her fountain of blood, —they shall therefore both be cut off out of the midst of their people.
19 ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମାଉସୀର ବା ପିଉସୀର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତାହା କଲେ, ଆପଣା ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ କୁଟୁମ୍ବର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରାଯାଏ। ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅପରାଧ ବୋହିବେ।
And the shame of thy mother’s sister, or of thy father’s sister, shalt thou not uncover, —for his near of kin, hath he exposed—their iniquity, shall they bear.
20 ଆଉ, ଯଦି କେହି ଆପଣା ପିତୃବ୍ୟପତ୍ନୀ ସହିତ ଶୟନ କରେ, ତେବେ ସେ ଆପଣା ପିତୃବ୍ୟର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରିଅଛି; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅପରାଧ ବୋହିବେ; ସେମାନେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହୋଇ ମରିବେ।
And, any man, who lieth with his uncle’s wife, the shame of his uncle, hath he uncovered, —their sin, shall they bear—childless, shall they die.
21 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି କେହି ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତୃଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟାକୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରେ, ତେବେ ତାହା ଅଶୁଚି କର୍ମ; ସେ ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତାର ଆବରଣୀୟ ଅନାବୃତ କରିଅଛି; ସେମାନେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନ ହେବେ।
And, any man, who taketh his brother’s wife, impurity, it is, —the shame of his brother, hath he uncovered—childless, shall they remain.
22 ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ବିଧି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ମାନ୍ୟ କରି ପାଳନ କରିବ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ବାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ଯାଉଅଛୁ, ସେହି ଦେଶ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଦ୍ଗାର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes and all my regulations, and do them, —So shall the land whereinto I am bringing you to dwell therein, not vomit you forth;
23 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦୂର କରୁଅଛୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଚରଣ ଅନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଚ଼ାଲିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ସେହି ସବୁ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କଲେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କଲୁ।
So shall ye not walk in the—statutes of the nations, which I am casting out from before you, —For all these things, had they done, Therefore I abhorred them;
24 ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବ; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶ ଦେବା; ଯେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ।
And said unto you—Ye, shall possess their soil, Yea, I myself, will give it you to possess it, A land flowing with milk and honey, —I—Yahweh, am your God, who have distinguished you from the peoples;
25 ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଚି ଓ ଅଶୁଚି ପଶୁ ପୁଣି ଶୁଚି ଓ ଅଶୁଚି ପକ୍ଷୀ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପୃଥକ କରିବ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ପଶୁ, ପକ୍ଷୀ ଓ ଭୂଚର ଜନ୍ତୁକୁ ଅଶୁଚି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପୃଥକ କରିଅଛୁ, ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣକୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Therefore shall ye make a distinction—Between the clean beasts, and the unclean, —And between the unclean birds and the clean, —So shall ye not make your persons abominable with beast, or with bird or with anything which creepeth upon the ground, which I have distinguished for you, as unclean.
26 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର ହେବ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଅଟୁ। ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭର ହେବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ କରିଅଛୁ।
Therefore shall ye be unto me, holy persons, for, holy, am, I—Yahweh, —Therefore have I distinguished you from the peoples, that ye may be mine.
27 ଆଉ, ପୁରୁଷ ଅବା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଯେକେହି ଭୂତୁଡ଼ିଆ ଅବା ଗୁଣିଆ ହୁଏ, ସେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ହତ ହେବ; ଲୋକମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥର ମାରି ବଧ କରିବେ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ।”
And as touching man or woman, when there shall be in them a familiar spirit, or the spirit of an oracle, they shall, surely be put to death, —with stones, shall they be stoned—their blood, shall be upon themselves.
