ଯୋହନ 8
1 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଜୀତପର୍ବତକୁ ଗଲେ।
And at dawn He came again to the temple [courts],
2 ତହିଁ ଆରଦିନ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁଷରେ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଆସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଉପବେଶନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
and all the people were coming to Him, and having sat down, He was teaching them;
3 ଆଉ, ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର୍ମରେ ଧୃତା ଜଣେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକକୁ ଘେନିଆସି ତାହାକୁ ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳରେ ଠିଆ କରାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ,
and the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman having been taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
4 ହେ ଗୁରୁ, ଏହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକଟି ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କର୍ମ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଧରାପଡ଼ିଅଛି।
they say to Him, “Teacher, this woman was taken in the very crime [of] committing adultery,
5 ଏହିପରି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ମାରିବାକୁ ମୋଶା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ତେବେ ଆପଣ କଅଣ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି?
and in the Law, Moses commanded us that such be stoned; You, therefore, what do You say?”
6 ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅଭିଯୋଗର କାରଣ ପାଇ ପାରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଏହା କହିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଅଧୋମୁଖ ହୋଇ ଅଙ୍ଗୁଳି ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭୂମିରେ ଲେଖିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And this they said, trying Him, that they might have to accuse Him. And Jesus, having stooped down, with the finger He was writing on the ground,
7 ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପୁନଃ ପୁନଃ ପଚାରନ୍ତେ, ସେ ମସ୍ତକ ଉତ୍ତୋଳନ କରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯେ ନିଷ୍ପାପ, ସେ ପ୍ରଥମରେ ତାହାକୁ ପଥର ଫୋପାଡ଼ୁ।
and when they continued asking Him, having bent Himself back, He said to them, “The sinless of you—let him cast the first stone at her”;
8 ପୁନର୍ବାର ସେ ଅଧୋମୁଖ ହୋଇ ଭୂମିରେ ଲେଖିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
and again having stooped down, He was writing on the ground,
9 ତାହା ଶୁଣି ସେମାନେ ବଡ଼ଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଜଣ ଜଣ ହୋଇ ବାହାରିଯିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଆଉ କେବଳ ଯୀଶୁ ଓ ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳରେ ସେହି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିଲେ।
and they having heard, and being convicted by the conscience, were going forth one by one, having begun from the elders—to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ ମସ୍ତକ ଉତ୍ତୋଳନ କରି ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, ଗୋ ନାରୀ, ସେମାନେ କାହାନ୍ତି? କେହି କଅଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ବୋଲି ବିଚାର କଲେ ନାହିଁ?
And Jesus having bent Himself back, and having seen no one but the woman, said to her, “Woman, where are those—your accusers? Did no one pass sentence on you?”
11 ସେ କହିଲା, କେହି ନାହିଁ, ପ୍ରଭୁ। ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଣ୍ଡନୀୟ ବୋଲି ବିଚାର କରୁ ନାହିଁ; ଯାଅ, ଆଜିଠାରୁ ଆଉ ପାପ କର ନାହିଁ।]
And she said, “No one, Lord”; and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I pass sentence on you; be going on, and sin no more.”]]
12 ଯୀଶୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଜଗତର ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ; ଯେ ମୋହର ଅନୁଗମନ କରେ, ସେ କେବେ ହେଁ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଜୀବନର ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ ପାଇବ।”
Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I AM the light of the world; he who is following Me will not walk in the darkness, but he will have the light of life.”
13 ସେଥିରେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ।
The Pharisees, therefore, said to Him, “You testify of Yourself, Your testimony is not true”;
14 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଯଦି ନିଜ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଥାଏ, ତେବେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୋହର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଆସିଅଛି ଓ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ତାହା ଜାଣେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଆସେ କିମ୍ବା କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଏ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ।
Jesus answered and said to them, “And if I testify of Myself—My testimony is true, because I have known from where I came, and to where I go, and you have not known from where I come, or to where I go.
15 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ବିଚାର କରିଥାଅ, ମୁଁ କାହାରି ବିଚାର କରେ ନାହିଁ।
You judge according to the flesh; I do not judge anyone,
16 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଯଦି ବିଚାର କରେ, ତେବେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୋହର ବିଚାର ଯଥାର୍ଥ; କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଏକାକୀ ନୁହେଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ମୋʼ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
and even if I do judge My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me;
17 ପୁଣି, ଦୁଇ ଜଣଙ୍କର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଯେ ସତ୍ୟ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଲେଖାଅଛି।
and also in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true;
18 ମୁଁ ନିଜେ ନିଜର ସାକ୍ଷୀ, ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ପିତା ମୋʼ ବିଷୟରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛନ୍ତି।”
I am [One] who is testifying of Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies of Me.”
19 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପିତା କାହାନ୍ତି? ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ; ଯଦି ମୋତେ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତ, ତେବେ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତ।”
They said, therefore, to Him, “Where is Your father?” Jesus answered, “You have neither known Me nor My Father: if you had known Me, you had also known My Father.”
20 ସେ ମନ୍ଦିର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଭଣ୍ଡାର ନିକଟରେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କର ନିଯୁକ୍ତ ସମୟ ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲା।
Jesus spoke these sayings in the treasury, teaching in the temple, and no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come;
21 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଖୋଜିବ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ମରିବ, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇ ପାର ନାହିଁ।”
therefore Jesus said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek Me, and you will die in your sin; to where I go away, you are not able to come.”
22 ତେଣୁ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ କଅଣ ଆତ୍ମହତ୍ୟା କରିବ ବୋଲି କହୁଅଛି, “ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଯାଇ ପାର ନାହିଁ?”
The Jews, therefore, said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, To where I go away, you are not able to come?”
23 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଧଃସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ମୁଁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜଗତରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ମୁଁ ଜଗତରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ନୁହେଁ।”
And He said to them, “You are from beneath, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world;
24 ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ମରିବ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହା କହିଲି; କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଯେ ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନ କଲେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ମରିବ।”
I said, therefore, to you, that you will die in your sins, for if you may not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
25 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଏ? ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭରୁ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା କହିଅଛି।
They said, therefore, to Him, “You—who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Even what I spoke of to you at the beginning;
26 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ କଥା କହିବାକୁ ଓ ବିଚାର କରିବାକୁ ମୋହର ଅନେକ ବିଷୟ ଅଛି; ଯାହା ହେଉ, ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ସତ୍ୟ, ଆଉ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଶ୍ରବଣ କଲି, ସେହିସବୁ ଜଗତକୁ ଜଣାଉଅଛି।”
many things I have to speak concerning you and to judge, but He who sent Me is true, and I—what things I heard from Him—these I say to the world.”
27 ସେ ଯେ ପିତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଥିଲେ, ଏହା ସେମାନେ ବୁଝିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
They did not know that He spoke to them of the Father;
28 ଅତଏବ, ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଗୌରବ ଦେବ, ସେତେବେଳେ ମୁଁ ଯେ ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଓ ମୁଁ ନିଜରୁ କିଛି ନ କରି ବରଂ ପିତା ମୋତେ ଯେପ୍ରକାର ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲେ, ସେହି ପ୍ରକାର ଏସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଯେ କହୁଅଛି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝିବ।
Jesus, therefore, said to them, “When you may lift up the Son of Man then you will know that I AM; and I do nothing of Myself, but according as My Father taught Me, these things I speak;
29 ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ମୋʼ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେ ମୋତେ ଏକାକୀ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ସର୍ବଦା ତାହାଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତୋଷଜନକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରେ।”
and He who sent Me is with Me; the Father did not leave Me alone, because I always do the things pleasing to Him.”
30 ସେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହନ୍ତେ, ଅନେକେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ।
As He is speaking these things, many believed in Him;
31 ଅତଏବ, ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଥିବା ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥିର ହୋଇ ରହିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ମୋହର ଶିଷ୍ୟ,
Jesus, therefore, said to the Jews who believed in Him, “If you may remain in My word, you are truly My disciples,
32 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସତ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହେବ ଓ ସେହି ସତ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବ।”
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କର ବଂଶ, ଆଉ କେବେ ହେଁ କାହାରି ଦାସ ହୋଇ ନାହୁଁ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୁକ୍ତ ହେବ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି କହୁଅଛ?
They answered Him, “We are seed of Abraham; and we have been servants to no one at any time; how do You say—You will become free?”
34 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯେ କେହି ପାପ କରେ, ସେ ପାପର ଦାସ।
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who is committing sin, is a servant of sin,
and the servant does not remain in the house—throughout the age, the Son remains—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
36 ଅତଏବ, ପୁତ୍ର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ମୁକ୍ତ ହେବ।
if then the Son may make you free, in reality you will be free.
37 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କର ବଂଶ, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣେ; କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ନ ପାଇବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଅଛ।
I have known that you are seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you;
38 ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଦେଖିଅଛି, ସେହିସବୁ କହୁଅଛି; ଅତଏବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା ନିକଟରୁ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ସେହିସବୁ କର।”
I speak that which I have seen with My Father, and you, therefore, do that which you have seen with your father.”
39 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତା। ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ତେବେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ କର୍ମ କର;
They answered and said to Him, “Our father is Abraham”; Jesus says to them, “If you were children of Abraham, the works of Abraham you were doing;
40 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଶୁଣିଥିବା ସତ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଏପରି ଲୋକ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ମୋତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏବେ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଅଛ; ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଏପରି କର୍ମ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
and now, you seek to kill Me—a Man who has spoken to you the truth I heard from God; Abraham did not do this;
41 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାର କର୍ମସବୁ କରୁଅଛ।” ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରରୁ ଜାତ ହୋଇ ନାହୁଁ; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଏକମାତ୍ର ପିତା, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବର।
you do the works of your father.” They said, therefore, to Him, “We have not been born of whoredom; we have one Father—God”;
42 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଈଶ୍ବର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା ହୋଇଥାଆନ୍ତେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରନ୍ତ; କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆସିଅଛି; ମୁଁ ନିଜଠାରୁ ଆସି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କଲେ।”
Jesus then said to them, “If God were your father, you were loving Me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me;
43 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ମୋହର କଥା ବୁଝୁ ନାହଁ? ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣି ପାରୁ ନାହଁ।
why do you not know My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word.
44 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା ଶୟତାନଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପିତାର କାମନା ସାଧନ କରିବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା। ସେ ଆଦ୍ୟରୁ ନରଘାତକ, ଆଉ ସେ ସତ୍ୟରେ ରହେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାଠାରେ ସତ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ। ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେ ମିଥ୍ୟା କହେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ନିଜଠାରୁ କହେ; କାରଣ ସେ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ଓ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀର ପିତା।
You are of a father—the Devil, and the desires of your father you will to do; he was a manslayer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him; when one may speak the falsehood, he speaks of his own, because he is a liar—also his father.
45 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ସତ୍ୟ କହିଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନାହଁ।
And because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.
46 ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ପାପ ଅଛି ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କିଏ ପ୍ରମାଣ ଦେଉଅଛି? ମୁଁ ଯେବେ ସତ୍ୟ କହେ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ମୋତେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନାହଁ?
Who of you convicts Me of sin? And if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
47 ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣେ; ଏହି ହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣୁ ନାହଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ନୁହଁ।
He who is of God, he hears the sayings of God; because of this you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
48 ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁ ଯେ ଜଣେ ଶମିରୋଣୀୟ ଓ ତୋତେ ଯେ ଭୂତ ଲାଗିଅଛି, ଏହା କଅଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଠିକ୍ କହୁ ନାହୁଁ?
The Jews, therefore, answered and said to Him, “Do we not say well, that You are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49 ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୋତେ ଭୂତ ଲାଗି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ସମାଦର କରୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଅନାଦର କରୁଅଛ।
Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me;
50 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ନିଜର ଗୌରବ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରେ ନାହିଁ; ଯେ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ବିଚାର କରନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଜଣେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
and I do not seek My own glory; there is [One] who is seeking and is judging;
51 ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଯଦି କେହି ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ କଦାପି ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।” (aiōn g165)
truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone may keep My word, he may not see death—throughout the age.” (aiōn g165)
52 ଯିହୁଦୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଲୁ ଯେ, ତୋତେ ଭୂତ ଲାଗିଅଛି, ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଓ ଭାବବାଦୀମାନେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତୁ କହୁଅଛୁ, ଯଦି କେହି ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ କଦାପି ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ଆସ୍ୱାଦ ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ। (aiōn g165)
The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “Now we have known that You have a demon; Abraham died, and the prophets, and You say, If anyone may keep My word, he will not taste of death—throughout the age! (aiōn g165)
53 ତୁ କଅଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପିତା ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ? ସେ ତ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଭାବବାଦୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ତୁ ନିଜକୁ କିଏ ବୋଲି କହୁଅଛୁ?
Are You greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died; whom do You make Yourself?”
54 ଯୀଶୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଯଦି ନିଜର ଗୌରବ କରୁଥାଏ, ତେବେ ମୋହର ଗୌରବ କିଛି ନୁହେଁ; ମୋହର ଯେଉଁ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ବୋଲି କହୁଅଛ, ସେ ମୋହର ଗୌରବ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି;
Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who is glorifying Me, of whom you say that He is your God;
55 ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣି ନାହଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ। ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ ବୋଲି ଯଦି କହିବି, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ହେବି, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରେ।
and you have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I will be like you—speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and I keep His word;
56 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା ଅବ୍ରହାମ ମୋହର ଦିନ ଦେଖିବା ଆଶାରେ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ କଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଆନନ୍ଦ କଲେ।”
your father Abraham was glad that he might see My day; and he saw, and rejoiced.”
57 ସେଥିରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତ ଏଯାଏଁ ପଚାଶ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଅଛ?
The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”
58 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମୁଁ ଅଛି।”
Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham’s coming—I AM”;
59 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରକୁ ଫୋପାଡ଼ିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପଥର ଉଠାଇଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଗୋପନରେ ମନ୍ଦିରରୁ ବାହାରିଗଲେ।
they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at Him, but Jesus hid Himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
