ଯୋହନ 7
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଗାଲିଲୀରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, କାରଣ କେତେକ ଯିହୁଦୀ ନେତାମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିବାରୁ ସେ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for he did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him,
2 କିନ୍ତୁ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର କୁଟୀରବାସ ପର୍ବ ସନ୍ନିକଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ,
and the feast of the Jews was nigh — that of tabernacles —
3 ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଯେ କର୍ମ କରୁଅଛ, ସେହିସବୁ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେଖିବେ, ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ଏଠାରୁ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶକୁ ଯାଅ,
his brethren, therefore, said unto him, 'Remove hence, and go away to Judea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works that thou dost;
4 କାରଣ କେହି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କଲେ ଗୋପନରେ କିଛି କରେ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଏସମସ୍ତ କରୁଅଛ, ତେବେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଜଗତ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କର।
for no one in secret doth anything, and himself seeketh to be in public; if thou dost these things — manifest thyself to the world;'
5 କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
for not even were his brethren believing in him.
6 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୋହର ସମୟ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମୟ ସର୍ବଦା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ।
Jesus, therefore, saith to them, 'My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;
7 ଜଗତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କରିପାରେ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋତେ ଘୃଣା କରେ, କାରଣ ତାହାର କର୍ମ ଯେ ମନ୍ଦ, ମୁଁ ତାହା ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛି।
the world is not able to hate you, but me it doth hate, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
8 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି ପର୍ବକୁ ଯାଅ, ମୁଁ ଏବେ ଏହି ପର୍ବକୁ ଯାଉ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ମୋହର ସମୟ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ।”
Ye — go ye up to this feast; I do not yet go up to this feast, because my time hath not yet been fulfilled;'
9 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହି ଗାଲିଲୀରେ ରହିଲେ।
and saying these things to them, he remained in Galilee.
10 କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଭାଇମାନେ ପର୍ବକୁ ଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଗଲେ, ପ୍ରକାଶରେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଏକ-ପ୍ରକାର ଗୋପନରେ।
And when his brethren went up, then also he himself went up to the feast, not manifestly, but as in secret;
11 ଏଣୁ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ପର୍ବରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜୁ ଖୋଜୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ସେ କାହିଁ?
the Jews, therefore, were seeking him, in the feast, and said, 'Where is that one?'
12 ଆଉ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଲୋକସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବହୁତ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ହେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲା; କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ସେ ଜଣେ ଉତ୍ତମ ଲୋକ; ଆଉ କେହି କେହି କହିଲେ, ନା, ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରୁଅଛି।
and there was much murmuring about him among the multitudes, some indeed said — 'He is good;' and others said, 'No, but he leadeth astray the multitude;'
13 ତଥାପି ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ଭୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶରେ କେହି କିଛି କହୁ ନ ଥିଲେ।
no one, however, was speaking freely about him, through fear of the Jews.
14 କିନ୍ତୁ ପର୍ବର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧେକ ସମୟ ଗତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଯୀଶୁ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଯାଇ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And it being now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up to the temple, and he was teaching,
15 ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହୋଇ କହିଲେ, ଏ ପାଠ ନ ପଢ଼ି କିପରି ପଣ୍ଡିତ ହେଲା?
and the Jews were wondering, saying, 'How hath this one known letters — not having learned?'
16 ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୋହର ଶିକ୍ଷା ମୋʼ ନିଜର ନୁହେଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କର।
Jesus answered them and said, 'My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me;
17 କେହି ଯଦି ତାହାଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ସାଧନ କରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ହୁଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଏହି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ନା ମୁଁ ଆପଣାଠାରୁ କହୁଅଛି, ତାହା ସେ ଜାଣିବ।
if any one may will to do His will, he shall know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or — I do speak from myself.
18 ଯେ ଆପଣାରୁ କହେ, ସେ ନିଜ ଗୌରବ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ଗୌରବ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରେ, ସେ ସତ, ଆଉ ତାହାଠାରେ କୌଣସି ଅଧର୍ମ ନାହିଁ।
'He who is speaking from himself his own glory doth seek, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;
19 ମୋଶା କଅଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଦେଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି? ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପାଳନ କରୁ ନାହଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ମୋତେ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଅଛ?”
hath not Moses given you the law? and none of you doth the law; why me do ye seek to kill?'
20 ଲୋକସମୂହ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମକୁ ଭୂତ ଲାଗିଅଛି, କିଏ ତୁମକୁ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଅଛି?
The multitude answered and said, 'Thou hast a demon, who doth seek to kill thee?'
21 ଯୀଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଗୋଟିଏ କର୍ମ କଲି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହୋଇଅଛ।
Jesus answered and said to them, 'One work I did, and ye all wonder,
22 ଏହି ହେତୁରୁ ମୋଶା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁନ୍ନତ ବିଧି ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି (ଏହା ଯେ ମୋଶାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ପିତୃ-ପୁରୁଷଙ୍କଠାରୁ), ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ସୁନ୍ନତ କରୁଅଛ।
because of this, Moses hath given you the circumcision — not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers — and on a sabbath ye circumcise a man;
23 ମୋଶାଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଲଙ୍ଘନ ନ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯଦି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ସୁନ୍ନତ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର ଦିନରେ ଜଣେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ସର୍ବାଙ୍ଗ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ମୋʼ ଉପରେ କ୍ରୋଧ କରୁଅଛ?
if a man doth receive circumcision on a sabbath that the law of Moses may not be broken, are ye wroth with me that I made a man all whole on a sabbath?
24 ବାହ୍ୟ ବିଷୟ ଦେଖି ବିଚାର ନ କରି ଉଚିତ୍ ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର କର।”
judge not according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.'
25 ଏଥିରେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଯାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏ କଅଣ ସେ ନୁହେଁ?
Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, 'Is not this he whom they are seeking to kill?
26 ପୁଣି, ଦେଖ, ସେ ପ୍ରକାଶରେ କଥା କହୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ କିଛି କରୁ ନାହାନ୍ତି। ଏ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ଏହା କଅଣ ନେତାମାନେ ସତେ ଜାଣି ସାରିଲେଣି?
and, lo, he doth speak freely, and they say nothing to him; did the rulers at all know truly that this is truly the Christ?
27 ଯାହା ହେଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ଯେ ଏହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି କେଉଁଠାରୁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆସିବେ, ସେତେବେଳେ କେହି ଜାଣିବ ନାହିଁ ଯେ ସେ କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
but this one — we have known whence he is; and the Christ, when he doth come, no one doth know whence he is.'
28 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉ ଦେଉ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଓ ମୋହର ଉତ୍ପତ୍ତି ଉଭୟ ଜାଣ; ମୁଁ ନିଜଠାରୁ ଆସି ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ସତ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ।
Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, 'Ye have both known me, and ye have known whence I am; and I have not come of myself, but He who sent me is true, whom ye have not known;
29 ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ଆଉ ସେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କଲେ।”
and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He did send me.'
30 ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲେ; କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମୟ ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲା।
They were seeking, therefore, to seize him, and no one laid the hand on him, because his hour had not yet come,
31 କିନ୍ତୁ ଲୋକସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଅନେକେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକର୍ମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆସି ତାହାଠାରୁ କଅଣ ଅଧିକ କରିବେ?
and many out of the multitude did believe in him, and said — 'The Christ — when he may come — will he do more signs than these that this one did?'
32 ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ଲୋକସମୂହକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ କରିବା ଶୁଣିଲେ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପଦାତିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଠାଇଲେ।
The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take him;
33 ସେଥିରେ ଯୀଶୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଆଉ ଅଳ୍ପ ସମୟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ରହି ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି।
Jesus, therefore, said to them, 'Yet a little time I am with you, and I go away unto Him who sent me;
34 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଖୋଜିବ, ମାତ୍ର ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ; ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଥିବି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଆସିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।”
ye will seek me, and ye shall not find; and where I am, ye are not able to come.'
35 ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ପରସ୍ପର କହିଲେ, ଏ କେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯିବା ପାଇଁ ବାହାରିଅଛି ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପାଇବା ନାହିଁ? ଏ କଅଣ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବାକୁ ବାହାରିଅଛି?
The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, 'Whither is this one about to go that we shall not find him? — to the dispersion of the Greeks is he about to go? and to teach the Greeks;
36 “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଖୋଜିବ, ମାତ୍ର ପାଇବ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଥିବି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାକୁ ଆସିପାରିବ ନାହିଁ,” ସେ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା କହିଲେ, ସେ କଅଣ?
what is this word that he said, Ye will seek me, and ye shall not find? and, Where I am, ye are not able to come?'
37 ଶେଷଦିନ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ପର୍ବର ପ୍ରଧାନ ଦିନ, ଯୀଶୁ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, “କେହି ଯଦି ତୃଷିତ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ପାନ କରୁ।
And in the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, 'If any one doth thirst, let him come unto me and drink;
38 ଯେ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରର ଉକ୍ତି ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତାହାର ଅନ୍ତରରୁ ଜୀବନ୍ତ ଜଳସ୍ରୋତ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଥିବ।”
he who is believing in me, according as the Writing said, Rivers out of his belly shall flow of living water;'
39 ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସକାରୀମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଆତ୍ମା ପାଇବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ସେ ଏହା କହିଲେ, କାରଣ ଯୀଶୁ ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ମହିମାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିବାରୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମା ପ୍ରଦତ୍ତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲେ।
and this he said of the Spirit, which those believing in him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
40 ଅତଏବ, ଲୋକସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ସେହି ଭାବବାଦୀ।
Many, therefore out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, 'This is truly the Prophet;'
41 ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ; କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି କେହି କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, କଅଣ! ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ ଆସିବେ?
others said, 'This is the Christ;' and others said, 'Why, out of Galilee doth the Christ come?
42 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ବଂଶରୁ ଓ ଦାଉଦ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଥିଲେ, ସେହି ବେଥଲିହିମ ଗ୍ରାମରୁ ଆସିବେ, ଏହା କଅଣ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରର ବାକ୍ୟ କହି ନାହିଁ?
Did not the Writing say, that out of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem — the village where David was — the Christ doth come?'
43 ତେଣୁ ଲୋକସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ହେତୁ ମତଭେଦ ଘଟିଲା;
A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of him.
44 ଆଉ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହାତ ଦେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And certain of them were willing to seize him, but no one laid hands on him;
45 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ପଦାତିକମାନେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ବାହୁଡ଼ି ଆସିଲେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ତାହାକୁ ଆଣିଲ ନାହିଁ?
the officers came, therefore, unto the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, 'Wherefore did ye not bring him?'
46 ପଦାତିକମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ଏହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଯେପ୍ରକାରେ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କେବେ ସେପ୍ରକାରେ କହି ନାହିଁ।
The officers answered, 'Never so spake man — as this man.'
47 ସେଥିରେ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ କଅଣ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛ?
The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, 'Have ye also been led astray?
48 ନେତାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କିମ୍ବା ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କଅଣ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି?
did any one out of the rulers believe in him? or out of the Pharisees?
49 କିନ୍ତୁ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକଗୁଡ଼ାକ ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନେ ଶାପଗ୍ରସ୍ତ।
but this multitude, that is not knowing the law, is accursed.'
50 ଯେଉଁ ନୀକଦୀମ ଏଥିପୂର୍ବେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଥିଲେ ଓ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଜଣେ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ,
Nicodemus saith unto them — he who came by night unto him — being one of them,
51 ଜଣେ ଲୋକଠାରୁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ନ ଶୁଣି ଓ ତାହାର ଆଚରଣ ବିଷୟ ନ ଜାଣି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କଅଣ ତାହାକୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରେ?
'Doth our law judge the man, if it may not hear from him first, and know what he doth?'
52 ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ କଅଣ ଜଣେ ଗାଲିଲୀୟ ଲୋକ? ଗାଲିଲୀରୁ କୌଣସି ଭାବବାଦୀ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରି ଦେଖ।
They answered and said to him, 'Art thou also out of Galilee? search and see, that a prophet out of Galilee hath not risen;'
53 [ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଗୃହକୁ ଚାଲିଗଲେ,
and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the mount of the Olives.
