ଯୋହନ 14
1 “ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ନ ହେଉ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର, ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର।
Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God; believe also in me.
2 ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଅନେକ ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ଅଛି; ଯଦି ନ ଥାଆନ୍ତା, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଥାଆନ୍ତି, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି;
In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆସିବି, ଆଉ ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଥାଏ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯେପରି ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ରହିବ, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟକୁ ଘେନିଯିବି।
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you with myself, that where I am, you may be also.
4 ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି, ତାହାର ପଥ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ।”
And whither I go you know, and the way you know.
5 ଥୋମା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣ କେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ ନାହିଁ; ପଥ ବା କିପରି ଜାଣି ପାରୁ?
Thomas said to him: Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how can we know the way?
6 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ପଥ, ସତ୍ୟ ଓ ଜୀବନ; ମୋʼ ଦେଇ ନ ଗଲେ କେହି ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଏ ନାହିଁ।
Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me.
7 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତ, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାଣିଥାଆନ୍ତ; ଏବେ ହେଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣୁଅଛ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଅଛ।”
If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. And from this time you know him, and have seen him.
8 ଫିଲିପ୍ପ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କରାଉନ୍ତୁ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ।
Philip said to him: Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be content.
9 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଫିଲିପ୍ପ, ଏତେ କାଳ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅଛି, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ମୋତେ ଜାଣିଲ ନାହିଁ? ଯେ ମୋତେ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିଅଛି, ସେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କରିଅଛି; ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କରାଉନ୍ତୁ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି କହୁଅଛ?
Jesus said to him: Have I been so long with you, and have you not known me, Philip? He that has seen me, has seen the Father; and how say you, Show us the Father?
10 ମୁଁ ଯେ ପିତାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି ଓ ପିତା ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏ କଥା କଅଣ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରୁ ନାହଁ? ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟ କହେ, ସେହିସବୁ ମୋʼ ନିଜରୁ କହେ ନାହିଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ପିତା ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଥାଇ ଆପଣା କର୍ମ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. The Father who dwells in me, he does the works.
11 ମୁଁ ଯେ ପିତାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି ଓ ପିତା ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ମୋହର ଏହି କଥା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର, ନତୁବା କର୍ମ ଯୋଗୁଁ ହେଲେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର।
Believe me, that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me. If not, believe me on account of the works themselves.
12 ସତ୍ୟ ସତ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହୁଅଛି, ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଯେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ କର୍ମ କରୁଅଛି, ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିସବୁ କରିବ, ଆଉ ସେ ସବୁ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଅଧିକ ମହତ କର୍ମ କରିବ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି।
Verily, verily I say to you, he that believes on me, the works that I do he also shall do. Even greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father;
13 ପୁଣି, ପିତା ଯେପରି ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କଠାରେ ମହିମାନ୍ୱିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋʼ ନାମରେ ଯାହା କିଛି ମାଗିବ, ତାହା ମୁଁ କରିବି।
and whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋʼ ନାମରେ କୌଣସି ବିଷୟ ମୋତେ ମାଗିବ, ମୁଁ ତାହା କରିବି।”
If you ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 “ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କର, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୋହର ଆଜ୍ଞାସବୁ ପାଳନ କରିବ।
If you love me, keep my commandments;
16 ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ନିବେଦନ କରିବି, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ରହିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟକାରୀଙ୍କୁ, (aiōn g165)
and I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete, that he may dwell with you forever; (aiōn g165)
17 ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ସେହି ସତ୍ୟମୟ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ଦେବେ। ଜଗତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିପାରେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଜଗତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖେ ନାହିଁ କିମ୍ବା ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣ, କାରଣ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥାଆନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ରହିବେ।
the Spirit of the truth, whom the world can not receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, because he dwells with you, and shall be in you.
18 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନାଥ କରି ଛାଡ଼ିଯିବି ନାହିଁ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସୁଅଛି।
I will not leave you orphans; I am coming to you.
19 ଅଳ୍ପମାତ୍ର ସମୟ ରହିଲା, ଜଗତ ମୋତେ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ, କାରଣ ମୁଁ ଜୀବିତ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜୀବିତ ରହିବ।
Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you shall see me. Because I live, you also shall live.
20 ମୁଁ ଯେ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କଠାରେ ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ଓ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି, ଏହା ସେ ଦିନ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।
In that clay you shall know that I am in my Father, arid you in me, and I in you.
21 ଯେ ମୋହର ଆଜ୍ଞାସବୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ପାଳନ କରେ, ସେହି ତ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ଆଉ ଯେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ମୋହର ପିତା ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବେ, ପୁଣି, ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବି ଓ ତାହା ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବି।”
He that has my commandments and keeps them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved by my Father; and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 ଯିହୂଦା (ଇଷ୍କାରିୟୋତୀୟ ନୁହେଁ) ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, କଅଣ ହେଲା ଯେ, ଆପଣ ଜଗତ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ ନ କରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି?
Judas, not Iscariot, said to him: Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself to us, and not to the world?
23 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, “ଯଦି କେହି ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, ମୋହର ପିତା ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାହା ସହିତ ବାସ କରିବା।
Jesus answered and said to him: If any one loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him.
24 ଯେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ମୋହର ବାକ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଯେଉଁ ବାକ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣୁଅଛ, ତାହା ମୋହର ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ମୋହର ପ୍ରେରଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ପିତାଙ୍କର।
He that loves me not, keeps not my words; and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା କହିଲି।
These things have I spoken to you, while I am yet with you.
26 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେହି ସାହାଯ୍ୟକାରୀ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଯେଉଁ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ପିତା ମୋʼ ନାମରେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିବେ, ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବେ, ଆଉ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହା ଯାହା କହିଅଛି, ସେହିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରାଇବେ।
But the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have spoken to you.
27 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦାନ କରି ଯାଉଅଛି, ମୋହର ନିଜର ଶାନ୍ତି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାନ କରୁଅଛି; ଜଗତ ଯେପରି ଦାନ କରେ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେପରି ଦାନ କରୁ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ କି ଭୟଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ନ ହେଉ।
Peace I leave to you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, and let it not be afraid.
28 ମୁଁ ଯେ ଯାଉଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପୁଣି ଆସୁଅଛି, ମୋହର ଏହି କଥା ତ ଶୁଣିଅଛ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁଥାଆନ୍ତ, ତାହାହେଲେ ମୁଁ ମୋହର ପିତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଉଅଛି ବୋଲି ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିଥାଆନ୍ତ, କାରଣ ପିତା ମୋʼଠାରୁ ମହାନ।
You have heard that I said to you, I am going away, and am coming again to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice, because I go to the Father; for my Father is greater than I.
29 ଆଉ, ତାହା ଘଟିବା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଘଟିବା ପୂର୍ବେ ମୁଁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛି।
And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.
30 ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆଉ ଅଧିକ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଜଗତର ଅଧିପତି ଆସୁଅଛି; ଆଉ, ମୋʼ ଠାରେ ତାହାର କିଛି ହିଁ ନାହିଁ;
I will not talk much more with you; for the prince of this world is coming, and has nothing in me.
31 କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଯେ ପିତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ ଓ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ କର୍ମ କରେ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ଜଗତ ଜାଣି ପାରେ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଏପରି ଘଟୁଅଛି। ଉଠ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଚାଲିଯାଉ।”
But this takes place that the world may know that I love the Father, and even as he gave me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
