ଆୟୁବ 39
1 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଶୈଳବାସିନୀ ବନ୍ୟ ଛାଗୀର ପ୍ରସବକାଳ ଜାଣ? ଅବା ହରିଣୀର ପ୍ରସବରୀତି ନିର୍ଣ୍ଣୟ କରିପାର?
Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? [or] canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
2 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଗର୍ଭମାସ ଗଣନା କରିପାର? ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରସବ-ସମୟ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ?
Canst thou number the months that they fulfill? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?
3 ସେମାନେ ନଇଁ ପଡ଼ିଲେ, ଛୁଆ ପ୍ରସବ କରି ଆପଣା ଦୁଃଖ ଦୂର କରନ୍ତି।
They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, they cast out their sorrows.
4 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଛୁଆମାନେ ହୃଷ୍ଟପୁଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ମେଲା ପଦାରେ ବଢ଼ନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ବାହାରିଯାଇ ଆସନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up in the open field; they go forth, and return not again,
5 କିଏ ବନ୍ୟ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭକୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ କରି ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେଇଅଛି? ଅବା କିଏ ବନ୍ୟ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭର ବନ୍ଧନ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛି?
Who hath sent out the wild ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
6 ଆମ୍ଭେ ବନକୁ ତାହାର ଗୃହ ଓ ଲବଣ ଭୂମିକୁ ତାହାର ନିବାସ ସ୍ଥାନ କରିଅଛୁ।
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the salt land his dwelling place.
7 ସେ ନଗରର ଚହଳ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରେ, କିଅବା ଅଡ଼ାଇବା ଲୋକର ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ।
He scorneth the tumult of the city, neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.
8 ପର୍ବତଶ୍ରେଣୀ ତାହାର ଚରାସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ସେ ସର୍ବପ୍ରକାର ସତେଜ ତୃଣାଦି ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କରେ।
The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.
9 ଅରଣା ଷଣ୍ଢ କି ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେବା କରିବାକୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ ହେବ? ଅବା ସେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭ କୁଣ୍ଡ ପାଖରେ ରହିବ?
Will the wild-ox be content to serve thee? or will he abide by thy crib?
10 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଅରଣା ଷଣ୍ଢକୁ ତାହାର ବନ୍ଧନରେ ବାନ୍ଧି ଲଙ୍ଗଳଶିଆରରେ ଚଳାଇପାର? ଅବା ସେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ମଇ ଦେବ?
Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?
11 ତାହାର ବହୁତ ବଳ ଥିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ତାହାକୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବ? ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆପଣା କର୍ମ ତାହାକୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ?
Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou leave to him thy labour?
12 ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶସ୍ୟ ଗୃହକୁ ଆଣିବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଖଳାର ଶସ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବ ବୋଲି କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଠାରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରିବ?
Wilt thou confide in him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather [the corn of] thy threshingfloor?
13 ଓଟପକ୍ଷୀଣୀର ପକ୍ଷ ଉଲ୍ଲାସ କରେ; ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ଡେଣା ଓ ପର କି ସ୍ନେହଶୀଳ?
The wing of the ostrich rejoiceth, [but] are her pinions and feathers kindly?
14 କାରଣ ସେ ଭୂମିରେ ଆପଣା ଅଣ୍ଡା ଛାଡ଼େ ଓ ଧୂଳିରେ ତାହା ଉଷ୍ଣ କରେ,
For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, and warmeth them in the dust,
15 ଆଉ ପାଦରେ ତାହା ଭଗ୍ନ ଅବା ବନ୍ୟ ପଶୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତାହା ଦଳିତ ହେବ ବୋଲି ପାସୋରି ଯାଏ।
And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may trample them.
16 ତାହାର ଛୁଆମାନେ ତାହାର ନିଜର ନ ଥିଲା ପରି ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୟ ହୁଏ; ତାହାର ପ୍ରସବବେଦନା ବିଫଳ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚିନ୍ତ ଥାଏ;
She is hardened against her young ones, as if they were not hers: though her labour be in vain, [she is] without fear;
17 କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାକୁ ଜ୍ଞାନରହିତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଅଥବା ସେ ତାହାକୁ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ଦେଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି।
Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
18 ସେ ଉପରକୁ ଉଠିଲେ, ଅଶ୍ୱ ଓ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀକି ପରିହାସ କରେ।
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the horse and his rider.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଅଶ୍ୱକୁ ତାହାର ବିକ୍ରମ ଦେଇଅଛ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି କମ୍ପମାନ କେଶରରେ ତାହାର ଗ୍ରୀବାଦେଶ ଭୂଷିତ କରିଅଛ?
Hast thou given the horse [his] might? hast thou clothed his neck with the quivering mane?
20 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ତାହାକୁ ପଙ୍ଗପାଳ ପରି କୁଦିବାକୁ ଦେଇଅଛ? ତାହାର ନାସାଶବ୍ଦର ତେଜ ଭୟାନକ।
Hast thou made him to leap as a locust? the glory of his snorting is terrible.
21 ସେ ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ଖୁରା ମାରେ ଓ ଆପଣା ବଳରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତେ ସେ ସସଜ୍ଜ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବାକୁ ଯାଏ।
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth out to meet the armed men.
22 ସେ ଭୟକୁ ପରିହାସ କରେ ଓ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ଖଡ୍ଗ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଫେରେ ନାହିଁ।
He mocketh at fear, and is not dismayed; neither turneth he back from the sword.
23 ତୂଣ, ଝଲମଲ ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଓ ଶୂଳ ତାହା ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଝନ୍ଝନ୍ ଶବ୍ଦ କରେ।
The quiver rattleth against him, the flashing spear and the javelin.
24 ସେ ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡତା ଓ କ୍ରୋଧରେ ଭୂମି ଗ୍ରାସି ପକାଏ; କିଅବା ଏହା ତୂରୀ ଶବ୍ଦ ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ ନାହିଁ।
He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage; neither believeth he that it is the voice of the trumpet.
25 ଯେତେ ଥର ତୂରୀ ବାଜେ, ସେତେଥର ସେ ହିଁ ହିଁ ଶବ୍ଦ କରେ! ଓ ସେ ଦୂରରୁ ସଂଗ୍ରାମର, ସେନାପତିମାନଙ୍କର ହୁଙ୍କାର ଓ ସିଂହନାଦର ଗନ୍ଧ ପାଏ।
As oft as the trumpet [soundeth] he saith, Aha! and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.
26 ତୁମ୍ଭ ଜ୍ଞାନରେ କି ବାଜପକ୍ଷୀ ଉପରକୁ ଉଡ଼େ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗକୁ ଆପଣା ପକ୍ଷ ବିସ୍ତାର କରେ?
Doth the hawk soar by thy wisdom, [and] stretch her wings toward the south?
27 ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଶ ପକ୍ଷୀ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଆଜ୍ଞାରେ କି ଉପରକୁ ଉଠେ ଓ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱରେ ଆପଣା ବସା କରେ?
Doth the eagle mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?
28 ସେ ଶୈଳରେ ବାସ କରେ, ସେଠାରେ ତାହାର ବସା, ସେ ଶୈଳାଗ୍ରରେ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗମ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଥାଏ।
She dwelleth on the rock, and hath her lodging [there], upon the crag of the rock, and the strong hold.
29 ସେଠାରୁ ସେ ଶିକାର ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କରେ; ତାହାର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦୂରରୁ ତାହା ଦେଖେ।
From thence she spieth out the prey; her eyes behold it afar off.
30 ତାହାର ଛୁଆମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ରକ୍ତ ଚୁଷନ୍ତି; ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ହତ ଲୋକ, ସେହିଠାରେ ସେ ଥାଏ।”
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are, there is she.
