ଆୟୁବ 34
1 ଆହୁରି ଇଲୀହୂ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
2 “ହେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନେ, ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ, ହେ ବିଜ୍ଞମାନେ, ମୋʼ କଥାରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦିଅ।
Hear my words, O ye wise [men; ] and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
3 କାରଣ ସ୍ୱାଦ ଯେପରି ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟର ସ୍ୱାଦ ବୁଝେ, କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସେପରି ବାକ୍ୟର ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରେ।
For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
4 ଯାହା ଯଥାର୍ଥ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମନୋନୀତ କରୁ; ଯାହା ଭଲ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କରୁ।
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what [is] good.
5 କାରଣ ଆୟୁବ କହିଅଛି, ‘ମୁଁ ଧାର୍ମିକ, ପୁଣି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋହର ନ୍ୟାୟ ହରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
6 ମୁଁ ନ୍ୟାୟବାନ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ଗଣିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ମୁଁ ଅପରାଧରହିତ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମୋହର କ୍ଷତି ପ୍ରତିକାରହୀନ।’
Should I lie against my right? my wound [is] incurable without transgression.
7 ଆୟୁବ ପରି କେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅଛି? ସେ ଜଳ ପରି ନିନ୍ଦା ପାନ କରେ।
What man [is] like Job, [who] drinketh up scorning like water?
8 ସେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯାଏ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରେ।
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
9 କାରଣ ସେ କହିଅଛି, ‘ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କିଛି ଲାଭ ନାହିଁ।’
For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
10 ହେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକେ, ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ; ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିବେ, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ଥାଉ ଓ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ଯେ ଅଧର୍ମ କରିବେ, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ଥାଉ।
Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, [that he should do] wickedness; and [from] the Almighty, [that he should commit] iniquity.
11 ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କର୍ମାନୁସାରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଫଳ ଦେବେ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକକୁ ତାହାର ଆଚରଣ ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରାଇବେ।
For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to [his] ways.
12 ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଦୁଷ୍ଟାଚରଣ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ବିଚାର ବିପରୀତ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
13 କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥିବୀର କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱଭାର ଦେଲା? ଅବା କିଏ ସମୁଦାୟ ଜଗତର ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛି?
Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
14 ଯଦି ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ମନ ଦେବେ, ଯଦି ସେ ତାହାର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବେ;
If he set his heart upon man, [if] he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
15 ତେବେ ସକଳ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଏକତ୍ର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ ଓ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଧୂଳିରେ ମିଶିଯିବ।
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.
16 ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିବେଚନା ଥିଲେ, ଏହା ଶୁଣ; ମୋʼ ବାକ୍ୟର ରବରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର।
If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.
17 ଯେ ନ୍ୟାୟ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ସେ କି ଶାସନ କରିବ? ଓ ଯେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମୀ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବ?
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
18 ରାଜାକୁ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଧମ;’ ଅବା ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ’ ବୋଲି କହିବାର କି ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ?
[Is it fit] to say to a king, [Thou art] wicked? [and] to princes, [Ye are] ungodly?
19 ତେବେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କର ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଅବା ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତକୃତ କର୍ମ ହେବାରୁ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଧନୀକୁ ବିଶେଷ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି କହିବା କେତେ ଅଧିକ ଅନୁପଯୁକ୍ତ?
[How much less to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all [are] the work of his hands.
20 ସେମାନେ ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତକେ, ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧରାତ୍ରରେ ହିଁ ମରନ୍ତି; ଲୋକମାନେ କମ୍ପିତ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ବିକ୍ରମୀ ବିନା ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପରେ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
21 କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ମାର୍ଗ ପ୍ରତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଅଛି ଓ ସେ ତାହାର ସବୁ ଗତି ଦେଖନ୍ତି।
For his eyes [are] upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
22 ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀଗଣ ଲୁଚି ପାରନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଚ୍ଛାୟା ନାହିଁ।
[There is] no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23 କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥେ ଯିବାକୁ ହେବ ବୋଲି ତାହା ବିଷୟ ଦୀର୍ଘ ବିବେଚନା କରିବାର ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନାହିଁ।
For he will not lay upon man more [than right; ] that he should enter into judgment with God.
24 ସେ ଅନୁଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଉପାୟରେ ପରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରନ୍ତି।
He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
25 ଏହେତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ମର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ନିଅନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି, ସେ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth [them] in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26 ସେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହାର କଲା ପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହାର କରନ୍ତି;
He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ମାର୍ଗ ଆଦର କରିବାକୁ ଅନିଚ୍ଛୁକ ହେଲେ;
Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
28 ଏହିରୂପେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଦରିଦ୍ରର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ, ତହୁଁ ସେ ଦୁଃଖୀର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଶୁଣିଲେ।
So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
29 ସେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦେଲେ, କିଏ ଦୋଷ ଦେଇ ପାରେ? ଓ ସେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କଲେ, କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପାରେ? ଏହା କୌଣସି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଅବା କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ପ୍ରତି କରାଗଲେ, ଏକ ସମାନ ଥାଏ;
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth [his] face, who then can behold him? whether [it be done] against a nation, or against a man only:
30 ଏଣୁ ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ କେହି ନ ଥାଏ।
That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
31 କାରଣ କେହି କି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛି, ‘ମୁଁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଭୋଗ କରୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ଦୋଷ କରିବି ନାହିଁ;
Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne [chastisement], I will not offend [any more: ]
32 ଯାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣୁ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଶିଖାଅ; ଯଦି ମୁଁ ଅପରାଧ କରିଅଛି, ତେବେ ଆଉ ତାହା କରିବି ନାହିଁ?’
[That which] I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
33 ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦତ୍ତ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ କି ତୁମ୍ଭ ଇଚ୍ଛାମତ ହେବ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ? କାରଣ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବାର ତୁମ୍ଭର କର୍ମ, ମୋହର ନୁହେଁ; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ, ତାହା କୁହ।
[Should it be] according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
34 ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକେ ଏବଂ ମୋʼ କଥା ଶ୍ରବଣକାରୀ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ ମୋତେ କହିବେ;
Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
35 ‘ଆୟୁବ ନ ଜାଣି କଥା କହେ ଓ ତାହାର କଥାସବୁ ଜ୍ଞାନବର୍ଜ୍ଜିତ।’
Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words [were] without wisdom.
36 ଆୟୁବ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେଉ, କାରଣ ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇଅଛି।
My desire [is that] Job may be tried unto the end because of [his] answers for wicked men.
37 ଯେଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହଭାବ ଯୋଗ କରୁଅଛି, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ହାତତାଳି ଦେଉଅଛି ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଅନେକ କଥା କହୁଅଛି।”
For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth [his hands] among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
