ଆୟୁବ 22
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୈମନୀୟ ଇଲୀଫସ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered, and sayde,
2 “ମନୁଷ୍ୟ କʼଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଲାଭଜନକ ହୋଇପାରେ? ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତି ଲାଭଜନକ ଅଟେ।
May a man be profitable vnto God, as he that is wise, may be profitable to himselfe?
3 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଅଟ, ଏହା କʼଣ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ସୁଖର କାରଣ? ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଆପଣା ଆଚରଣ ସିଦ୍ଧ କରୁଅଛ, ଏହା କʼଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଲାଭଜନକ?
Is it any thing vnto the Almightie, that thou art righteous? or is it profitable to him, that thou makest thy wayes vpright?
4 ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭୟ ସକାଶୁ ସେ କʼଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନୁଯୋଗ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ବିଚାରରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଉଅଛନ୍ତି?
Is it for feare of thee that he will accuse thee? or go with thee into iudgement?
5 ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା କʼଣ ବଡ଼ ନୁହେଁ? ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଧର୍ମର କିଛି ସୀମା ନାହିଁ।
Is not thy wickednes great, and thine iniquities innumerable?
6 ଯେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅକାରଣରେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇଠାରୁ ବନ୍ଧକ ନେଇଅଛ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବସ୍ତ୍ରହୀନମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର କାଢ଼ି ନେଇଅଛ।
For thou hast taken the pledge from thy brother for nought, and spoyled the clothes of the naked.
7 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରିଶ୍ରାନ୍ତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜଳ ଦେଇ ନାହଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆହାର ଦେଇ ନାହଁ।
To such as were wearie, thou hast not giuen water to drinke, and hast withdrawen bread from the hungrie.
8 ମାତ୍ର ବଳବାନ ଲୋକ ପୃଥିବୀ ଅଧିକାର କଲା ଓ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଲୋକ ତହିଁରେ ବାସ କଲା।
But the mightie man had the earth, and he that was in autoritie, dwelt in it.
9 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖାଲି ହାତରେ ବିଦାୟ କରିଅଛ ଓ ପିତୃହୀନର ବାହୁ ଭଗ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛି।
Thou hast cast out widowes emptie, and the armes of the fatherles were broken.
10 ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ଫାନ୍ଦ ଅଛି ଓ ଆକସ୍ମିକ ଭୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ କରୁଅଛି।
Therefore snares are round about thee, and feare shall suddenly trouble thee:
11 ଅବା ଅନ୍ଧକାର, ଯାହା ଲାଗି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦେଖି ନ ପାର ଓ ଜଳରାଶି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଚ୍ଛନ୍ନ କରୁଅଛି।
Or darkenes that thou shouldest not see, and abundance of waters shall couer thee.
12 ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କʼଣ ଉଚ୍ଚତମ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି? ଓ ତାରାଗଣର ଉଚ୍ଚତା ଦେଖ, ସେସବୁ କେଡ଼େ ଉଚ୍ଚ!
Is not God on hie in the heauen? and behold the height of the starres how hie they are.
13 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁଅଛ, ‘ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କʼଣ ଜାଣନ୍ତି? ସେ ନିବିଡ଼ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଦେଇ କʼଣ ବିଚାର କରିପାରନ୍ତି?
But thou sayest, How should God know? can he iudge through the darke cloude?
14 ନିବିଡ଼ ମେଘମାଳ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆବରଣ, ଏଣୁ ସେ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରନ୍ତି।’
The cloudes hide him that he can not see, and he walketh in the circle of heauen.
15 ଯହିଁରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକେ ଗମନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ସେହି ପୁରାତନ ପଥ ଧରିବ?
Hast thou marked the way of the worlde, wherein wicked men haue walked?
16 ସେମାନେ ଅକାଳରେ ଛିଣ୍ଡାଗଲେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ରୋତ ପରି ଢଳାଗଲା;
Which were cut downe before the time, whose foundation was as a riuer that ouerflowed:
17 ସେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଦୂର ହୁଅ’ ଓ ‘ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କʼଣ କରିପାରନ୍ତି?’
Which sayd vnto God, Depart from vs, and asked what the Almightie could do for them.
18 ତଥାପି ସେ ନାନା ଉତ୍ତମ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଦୂରରେ ଥାଏ।
Yet hee filled their houses with good things: but let the counsell of the wicked be farre from me.
19 ଧାର୍ମିକମାନେ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଓ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ଲୋକ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରି କହନ୍ତି,
The righteous shall see them, and shall reioyce, and the innocent shall laugh them to scorne.
20 ‘ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠିବା ଲୋକେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଅଗ୍ନି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି।’
Surely our substance is hid: but the fire hath deuoured the remnant of them.
21 ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପରିଚିତ ହୁଅ, ତହିଁରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ହେବ; ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବ।
Therefore acquaint thy selfe, I pray thee, with him, and make peace: thereby thou shalt haue prosperitie.
22 ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ମୁଖନିର୍ଗତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କର ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ହୃଦୟରେ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କର।
Receiue, I pray thee, the law of his mouth, and lay vp his words in thine heart.
23 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଫେରିବ, ଯଦି ଆପଣା ତମ୍ବୁରୁ ଅଧର୍ମ ଦୂର କରିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୃଢ଼ କରାଯିବ।
If thou returne to the Almightie, thou shalt be buylt vp, and thou shalt put iniquitie farre from thy tabernacle.
24 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧୂଳିରେ ଆପଣା ଧନ ଓ ନଦୀସ୍ଥିତ ପଥର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଓଫୀରର ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପକାଇଦିଅ;
Thou shalt lay vp golde for dust, and the gold of Ophir, as the flintes of the riuers.
25 ତହିଁରେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧନ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ରୌପ୍ୟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବେ।
Yea, the Almightie shalbe thy defence, and thou shalt haue plentie of siluer.
26 କାରଣ ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆଡ଼େ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଟେକିବ।
And thou shalt then delite in the Almightie, and lift vp thy face vnto God.
27 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବ ଓ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ କଥା ଶୁଣିବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମାନତ ପରିଶୋଧ କରିବ।
Thou shalt make thy praier vnto him, and he shall heare thee, and thou shalt render thy vowes.
28 ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ବିଷୟ ମନସ୍ଥ କଲେ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକ୍ଷରେ ସଫଳ କରାଯିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ସକଳ ପଥରେ ଦୀପ୍ତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବ।
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and he shall establish it vnto thee, and the light shall shine vpon thy wayes.
29 ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅବନତ କଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିବ, ଉନ୍ନତି ହେବ କାରଣ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନମ୍ର ଲୋକକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।
When others are cast downe, then shalt thou say, I am lifted vp: and God shall saue the humble person.
30 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷ ନୁହେଁ, ତାହାକୁ ହିଁ ସେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବେ; ହଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତର ଶୁଚିତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇବ।”
The innocent shall deliuer the yland, and it shalbe preserued by the purenes of thine hands.
