ଆୟୁବ 20
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ନାମାଥୀୟ ସୋଫର ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
And Zophar the Naamathite answereth and saith: —
2 “ଏଥିପାଇଁ ମୋର ଅନ୍ତରସ୍ଥ ଚଞ୍ଚଳତା ସକାଶୁ ମୋହର ଚିନ୍ତା ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଏ।
Therefore my thoughts cause me to answer, And because of my sensations in me.
3 ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ଅନୁଯୋଗ ଶୁଣିଲି, ତାହା ମୋତେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ କରେ ଏବଂ ମୋହର ବୁଦ୍ଧିବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଆତ୍ମା ମୋତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦିଏ।
The chastisement of my shame I hear, And the spirit of mine understanding Doth cause me to answer:
4 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ଏହା ଜାଣ ନାହିଁ ଯେ, ପୁରାତନ କାଳରୁ, ପୃଥିବୀରେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ସ୍ଥାପନଠାରୁ
This hast thou known from antiquity? Since the placing of man on earth?
5 ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଜୟଧ୍ୱନି ଅଳ୍ପ କାଳ ଓ ଅଧାର୍ମିକର ଆନନ୍ଦ କ୍ଷଣମାତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାୟୀ?
That the singing of the wicked [is] short, And the joy of the profane for a moment,
6 ଯଦ୍ୟପି ତାହାର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଆକାଶ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉଠେ ଓ ତାହାର ମସ୍ତକ ମେଘ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରେ;
Though his excellency go up to the heavens, And his head against a cloud he strike —
7 ତଥାପି ସେ ଆପଣା ମଳ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ; ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖିଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ କହିବେ, ସେ କାହିଁ?
As his own dung for ever he doth perish, His beholders say: 'Where [is] he?'
8 ସେ ସ୍ୱପ୍ନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉଡ଼ିଯିବ, ଆଉ ଦେଖାଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ହଁ, ସେ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳୀନ ଦର୍ଶନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହେବ।
As a dream he fleeth, and they find him not, And he is driven away as a vision of the night,
9 ଯେଉଁ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖିଲା, ଆଉ ତାହାକୁ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ତାହାର ବାସସ୍ଥାନ ତାହାକୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।
The eye hath not seen him, and addeth not. And not again doth his place behold him.
10 ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବେ ଓ ତାହାର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ତାହାର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଫେରାଇ ଦେବେ।
His sons do the poor oppress, And his hands give back his wealth.
11 ତାହାର ଅସ୍ଥି ତାହାର ଯୌବନରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ଧୂଳିରେ ଶୟନ କରିବ।
His bones have been full of his youth, And with him on the dust it lieth down.
12 ଯଦ୍ୟପି ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ତାହାର ମୁଖକୁ ସୁମିଷ୍ଟ ଲାଗେ, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ସେ ଆପଣା ଜିହ୍ୱା ତଳେ ତାହା ଲୁଚାଇ ରଖେ;
Though he doth sweeten evil in his mouth, Doth hide it under his tongue,
13 ଯଦ୍ୟପି ସେ ତାହା ଯାକି ରଖି ନ ଛାଡ଼େ, ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରଖିଥାଏ;
Hath pity on it, and doth not forsake it, And keep it back in the midst of his palate,
14 ତଥାପି ତାହାର ଆହାର ଉଦରରେ ବିକୃତ ହୁଏ, ତାହା ତାହାର ଅନ୍ତରରେ କାଳସର୍ପର ଗରଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ।
His food in his bowels is turned, The bitterness of asps [is] in his heart.
15 ସେ ଧନ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି ଓ ସେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହା ଉଦ୍ଗାର କରିବ; ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାର ଉଦରରୁ ତାହାସବୁ ଦୂର କରିବେ।
Wealth he hath swallowed, and doth vomit it. From his belly God driveth it out.
16 ସେ କାଳସର୍ପର ବିଷ ଚୁଷିବ; ବିଷଧରର ଜିହ୍ୱା ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବ।
Gall of asps he sucketh, Slay him doth the tongue of a viper.
17 ସେ ନଦୀମାନ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ମଧୁ ଓ ନବନୀତ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ସ୍ରୋତମାନ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ।
He looketh not on rivulets, Flowing of brooks of honey and butter.
18 ସେ ଯହିଁ ପାଇଁ ପରିଶ୍ରମ କଲା, ତାହା ଫେରାଇ ଦେବ ଓ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
He is giving back [what] he laboured for, And doth not consume [it]; As a bulwark [is] his exchange, and he exults not.
19 କାରଣ ସେ ଦରିଦ୍ରକୁ ଉପଦ୍ରବ ଓ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛି; ସେ ଦୌରାତ୍ମ୍ୟପୂର୍ବକ ଗୃହ ଅପହରଣ କରିଅଛି; ଆଉ ତାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
For he oppressed — he forsook the poor, A house he hath taken violently away, And he doth not build it.
20 ସେ ଆପଣା ଅନ୍ତରରେ କିଛି ଶାନ୍ତି ପାଇଲା ନାହିଁ, ଏଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ଇଷ୍ଟ ବସ୍ତୁରୁ କିଛି ହିଁ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
For he hath not known ease in his belly. With his desirable thing he delivereth not himself.
21 ଯାହା ସେ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି କିଛି ନ ଥିଲା; ଏହେତୁ ତାହାର ସୁଦଶା ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ।
There is not a remnant to his food, Therefore his good doth not stay.
22 ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଚୁରତାର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣତାରେ କଷ୍ଟ ଭୋଗ କରିବ; ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶାଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକର ହସ୍ତ ତାହାକୁ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିବ।
In the fulness of his sufficiency he is straitened. Every perverse hand doth meet him.
23 ସେ ଆପଣା ଉଦର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହା ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପର ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡତା ନିକ୍ଷେପ କରିବେ ଓ ସେ ଭୋଜନ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହା ଉପରେ ତାହା ବୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବେ।
It cometh to pass, at the filling of his belly, He sendeth forth against him The fierceness of His anger, Yea, He raineth on him in his eating.
24 ସେ ଲୌହ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ନିକଟରୁ ପଳାଇବ, ଆଉ ପିତ୍ତଳଧନୁର ତୀର ତାହାକୁ ବିଦ୍ଧ କରିବ।
He fleeth from an iron weapon, Pass through him doth a bow of brass.
25 ସେ ତାହା ଟାଣେ ଓ ତାହା ତାହାର ଶରୀରରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସେ; ହଁ, ତାହାର ପିତ୍ତସ୍ଥଳୀରୁ ତେଜସ୍କର ତୀରାଗ୍ର ନିର୍ଗତ ହୁଏ; ସେ ନାନା ଭୟରେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ।
One hath drawn, And it cometh out from the body, And a glittering weapon from his gall proceedeth. On him [are] terrors.
26 ସମୁଦାୟ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ତାହାର ଧନ ରୂପେ ସଞ୍ଚିତ ହୁଏ; ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଅଫୁଙ୍କା ଅଗ୍ନି ତାହାକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ; ତାହା ତାହାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟସକଳ ଭସ୍ମ କରିବ।
All darkness is hid for his treasures, Consume him doth a fire not blown, Broken is the remnant in his tent.
27 ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ତାହାର ଅଧର୍ମ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ ତାହାର ବିପକ୍ଷରେ ଉଠିବ।
Reveal do the heavens his iniquity, And earth is raising itself against him.
28 ତାହାର ଗୃହର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଉଡ଼ିଯିବ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧର ଦିନରେ ତାହାର ସର୍ବସ୍ୱ ବହିଯିବ।
Remove doth the increase of his house, Poured forth in a day of His anger.
29 ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକର ଏହି ବାଣ୍ଟ ଓ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଏହା ହିଁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିରୂପିତ ଅଧିକାର।”
This [is] the portion of a wicked man from God. And an inheritance appointed him by God.
