ଆୟୁବ 18
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶୂହୀୟ ବିଲ୍ଦଦ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେତେ କାଳ କଥା ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜାଲ ପାତିବ?
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 “ବିବେଚନା କର, ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିବା।
How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
3 ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ପଶୁ ପରି ଗଣା ଯାଉଅଛୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଅଶୁଚି ହୋଇଅଛୁ?
Why are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
4 କ୍ରୋଧରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଅଛ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କʼଣ ପୃଥିବୀ ପରିତ୍ୟକ୍ତ ହେବ? ଅବା ଶୈଳ କʼଣ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହେବ?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
5 ହଁ, ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଦୀପ୍ତି ନିଭାଯିବ ଓ ତାହାର ଅଗ୍ନିକଣା ନିସ୍ତେଜ ହେବ।
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6 ତାହାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ଆଲୁଅ ଅନ୍ଧାର ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ଉପରିସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ନିଭାଯିବ।
The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp shall be put out with him.
7 ତାହାର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟର ଗତି ସଙ୍କୁଚିତ ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ନିଜ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ତାହାକୁ ତଳେ ପକାଇବ।
The steps of his strength shall be shortened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8 ସେ ଆପଣା ଚରଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜାଲରେ ପଡ଼େ ଓ ସେ ଫାନ୍ଦ ଉପରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରେ।
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
9 ଫାଶ ତାହାର ଗୋଇଠିକି ଧରିବ ଓ ଜାଲ ତାହାକୁ ଧରିବ।
The trap shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
10 ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଫାଶ ଭୂମିରେ ଗୁପ୍ତ ଅଛି ଓ ପଥରେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଯନ୍ତା ଅଛି।
The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
11 ଭୟଙ୍କରତା ତାହାକୁ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଭୀତ କରିବ ଓ ତାହାର ଗୋଡ଼େ ଗୋଡ଼େ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବ।
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
12 ତାହାର ବଳ କ୍ଷୁଧାରେ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ଶେଷ ସମୟକୁ ବିପଦ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଥିବ।
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
13 ତାହା ତାହାର ଶରୀରର ଅବୟବସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ, ହଁ, ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ତାହାର ଅବୟବସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ।
It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
14 ସେ ଆପଣା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ-ସ୍ଥଳରୂପ ତମ୍ବୁରୁ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହେବ ଓ ସେ ଭୟଙ୍କର ରାଜା ନିକଟକୁ ଅଣାଯିବ।
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
15 ତାହାର ଅସମ୍ପର୍କୀୟ ଲୋକ ତାହାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ବାସ କରିବ, ତାହାର ନିବାସ ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ଗନ୍ଧକ ବିଞ୍ଚାଯିବ।
It shall dwell in his tent, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16 ତଳେ ତାହାର ମୂଳ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହେବ ଓ ଉପରେ ତାହାର ଶାଖା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ।
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
17 ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ତାହାର ସ୍ମୃତି ଲୁପ୍ତ ହେବ ଓ ପଥରେ କେହି ତାହାର ନାମ ଧରିବ ନାହିଁ।
The remembrance of him shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
18 ସେ ଆଲୁଅରୁ ଅନ୍ଧାରକୁ ତଡ଼ାଯିବ ଓ ଜଗତରୁ ଘଉଡ଼ାଯିବ।
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19 ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ର କି ପୌତ୍ର ରହିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ତାହାର ପ୍ରବାସ ସ୍ଥାନରେ କେହି ରହିବେ ନାହିଁ।
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
20 ଯେପରି ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାର ବିନାଶର ଦିନ ଲାଗି ଭୀତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେପରି ପଶ୍ଚିମବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହେବେ।
They that come after him shall be appalled at his day, as they that went before were seized with horror.
21 ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଅଧାର୍ମିକର ବସତି ଏହିପରି ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ନ ଜାଣିବା ଲୋକର ସ୍ଥାନ ଏହି।”
Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
