ଯିରିମୀୟ 26
1 ଯୋଶୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ର ରାଜତ୍ଵର ଆରମ୍ଭରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା,
In the beginning of the reigne of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this worde from the Lord, saying,
2 “ଯଥା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଯିହୁଦାର ନଗରସମୂହରୁ ଆଗତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ସକଳ କଥା କହିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରୁ, ତାହାସବୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ; ଗୋଟିଏ କଥା ଛାଡ଼ ନାହିଁ।
Thus saith the Lord, Sande in the court of the Lordes House, and speake vnto all the cities of Iudah, which come to worshippe in the Lords House, all the wordes that I commaund thee to speake vnto them: keepe not a worde backe,
3 ହୋଇପାରେ, ସେମାନେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା କୁପଥରୁ ଫେରିବେ; ତାହାହେଲେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଚରଣର ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ହେତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଯେଉଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟାଇବାକୁ ମନସ୍ଥ କରିଅଛୁ, ତହିଁରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହେବା।
If so be they will hearken, and turne euery man from his euill way, that I may repent me of the plague, which I haue determined to bring vpon them, because of the wickednesse of their workes.
4 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସ୍ଥାପିତ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାନୁସାରେ ଚାଲିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ ନ କରିବ,
And thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, If ye will not heare me to walke in my Lawes, which I haue set before you,
5 ଆମ୍ଭର ଯେଉଁ ଦାସ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅତି ପ୍ରଭାତରେ ଉଠି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇ ଆସିଅଛୁ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ନାହଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମନୋଯୋଗ ନ କରିବ;
And to heare ye wordes of my seruants the Prophets, whome I sent vnto you, both rising vp earely, and sending them, and will not obey them,
6 ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଗୃହକୁ ଶୀଲୋର ସମାନ କରିବା ଓ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ପୃଥିବୀସ୍ଥ ସକଳ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀର ଅଭିଶାପାସ୍ପଦ କରିବା।’”
Then will I make this House like Shiloh, and will make this citie a curse to all the nations of the earth.
7 ପୁଣି, ଯିରିମୀୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା କହିବାର ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ଓ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଶୁଣିଲେ।
So the Priestes, and the Prophets, and all the people heard Ieremiah speaking these wordes in the House of the Lord.
8 ଆଉ, ଯିରିମୀୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞାପିତ ସକଳ କଥା କହିବାର ସମାପ୍ତ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ, ଯାଜକ, ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ ଓ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଧରି କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମରିବ।
Nowe when Ieremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speake vnto all the people, then the Priestes, and the prophets, and all the people tooke him, and saide, Thou shalt die the death.
9 ‘ଏହି ଗୃହ ଶୀଲୋ ସମାନ ଓ ଏହି ନଗର ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ଓ ନିବାସୀବିହୀନ ହେବ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲ?’” ଆଉ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏକତ୍ରିତ ହେଲେ।
Why hast thou prophecied in the Name of the Lord, saying, This House shall be like Shiloh, and this citie shalbe desolate without an inhabitant? and all the people were gathered against Ieremiah in the House of the Lord.
10 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଏହିସବୁ ବିଷୟ ଶୁଣି ରାଜଗୃହରୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହର ନୂତନ ଦ୍ୱାରର ପ୍ରବେଶ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବସିଲେ।
And when the princes of Iudah heard of these things, they came vp from the Kings house into the House of the Lord, and sate downe in the entrie of the new gate of the Lords House.
11 ତହିଁରେ ଯାଜକମାନେ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନେ, ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ; କାରଣ ସେ ଏହି ନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିଅଛି, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ୱକର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ।”
Then spake the Priestes, and the prophets vnto the princes, and to all the people, saying, This man is worthie to die: for he hath prophecied against this citie, as ye haue heard with your eares.
12 ତହୁଁ ଯିରିମୀୟ ସକଳ ଅଧିପତି ଓ ସକଳ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେସବୁ କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ଏହି ଗୃହ ଓ ଏହି ନଗର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କଲେ।
Then spake Ieremiah vnto all the princes, and to al the people, saying, The Lord hath sent me to prophecie against this house and against this citie all the things that ye haue heard.
13 ଏହେତୁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଆଚରଣ ଓ କ୍ରିୟା ଶୁଧୁରାଅ, ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମାନ; ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯେଉଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା କରିବାରୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହେବେ।
Therefore nowe amende your wayes and your workes, and heare the voyce of the Lord your God, that the Lord may repent him of the plague, that he hath pronounced against you.
14 ମାତ୍ର ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ଅଛି: ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ତାହା ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି କର।
As for me, beholde, I am in your hands: do with me as ye thinke good and right.
15 କେବଳ ଏହା ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ରୂପେ ଜାଣ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ବଧ କଲେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ, ଏହି ନଗର ଉପରେ ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦୋଷର ରକ୍ତପାତର ଅପରାଧ ବର୍ତ୍ତାଇବ; କାରଣ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚରରେ କହିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ସତ୍ୟ।”
But knowe ye for certaine, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood vpon your selues, and vpon this citie, and vpon the inhabitants thereof: for of a trueth the Lord hath sent me vnto you, to speake all these words in your eares.
16 ତହିଁରେ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଓ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାଣଦଣ୍ଡର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନୁହେଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିଅଛି।”
Then saide the princes and all the people vnto the Priestes, and to the prophets, This man is not worthie to die: for he hath spoken vnto vs in the Name of the Lord our God.
17 ସେତେବେଳେ ଦେଶର ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି କେହି ଉଠି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ସମାଜକୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲେ,
Then rose vp certaine of the Elders of the lande, and spake to all the assemblie of the people, saying,
18 “ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକୀୟର ସମୟରେ ମୋରେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ମୀଖା ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କଲା; ଆଉ, ସେ ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିଲା, ‘ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି; ସିୟୋନ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଚଷା ଯିବ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଢିପି ହେବ, ପୁଣି ଯେଉଁ ପର୍ବତରେ ମନ୍ଦିର ଅଛି, ତାହା ବନସ୍ଥ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀର ସମାନ ହେବ।’
Michah the Morashite prophecied in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and spake to al the people of Iudah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, Zion shall be plowed like a fielde, and Ierusalem shalbe an heape, and the mountaine of the House shalbe as the hie places of the forest.
19 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକୀୟ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ କʼଣ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କୌଣସିମତେ ବଧ କରିଥିଲେ? ହିଜକୀୟ କʼଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ ନାହିଁ? ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯେଉଁ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳର କଥା କହିଥିଲେ, ତାହା କରିବାରୁ କʼଣ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ନୋହିଲେ? ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଭାରୀ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ କରୁଅଛୁ।”
Did Hezekiah King of Iudah, and all Iudah put him to death? did he not feare ye Lord, and prayed before the Lord, and the Lord repented him of the plague, that he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great euill against our soules.
20 ଆହୁରି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାରକାରୀ ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଥିଲା, ସେ କିରୀୟଥ୍-ଯିୟାରୀମସ୍ଥ ଶମୟୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ଊରୀୟ; ସେ ଯିରିମୀୟର ସମସ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟ ପରି ଏହି ନଗର ଓ ଏହି ଦେଶ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିଥିଲେ।
And there was also a man that prophecied in the Name of the Lord, one Vriiah the sonne of Shemaiah, of Kiriath-iarem, who prophecied against this citie, and against this lande, according to all the wordes of Ieremiah.
21 ତହିଁରେ ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ ରାଜା, ଆପଣା ବୀରମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସେହି କଥା ଶୁଣନ୍ତେ, ରାଜା ତାହାକୁ ବଧ କରିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କଲା; ମାତ୍ର ଊରୀୟ ଏହା ଶୁଣି ଭୀତ ହୋଇ ମିସରକୁ ପଳାଇଗଲା।
Nowe when Iehoiakim the King with all his men of power, and all the princes heard his wordes, the King sought to slay him. But when Vriiah heard it, he was afraide and fled, and went into Egypt.
22 ତହିଁରେ ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ ରାଜା ମିସରକୁ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲା, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଅକ୍ବୋରର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଲ୍ନାଥନ୍କୁ ଓ ତାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ଅନ୍ୟ କେତେକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ମିସରକୁ ପଠାଇଲା;
Then Iehoiakim the King sent men into Egypt, euen Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and certaine with him into Egypt.
23 ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଊରୀୟକୁ ମିସରରୁ ଆଣି ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ ରାଜା ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ; ରାଜା ତାହାକୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବଧ କରି, ସାମାନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କବର ସ୍ଥାନରେ ତାହାର ଶବ ପକାଇଦେଲା।
And they fet Vriiah out of Egypt, and brought him vnto Iehoiakim the King, who slew him with the sword, and cast his dead bodie into the graues of the children of the people.
24 ମାତ୍ର ଶାଫନ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର ଅହୀକାମ ଯିରିମୀୟଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷ ଥିବାରୁ ହତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯିରିମୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
But the hande of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan was with Ieremiah that they shoulde not giue him into the hande of the people to put him to death.
