ଯିରିମୀୟ 24
1 ବାବିଲର ରାଜା ନବୂଖଦ୍ନିତ୍ସର, ଯିହୋୟାକୀମ୍ର ପୁତ୍ର, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଯିହୋୟାଖୀନ୍କୁ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ, ଶିଳ୍ପକର ଓ କର୍ମକାରକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରି ବାବିଲକୁ ନେଇଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏକ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଖାଇଲେ, ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ମନ୍ଦିର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଦୁଇ ଡାଲା ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ରଖାଯାଇଅଛି।
[The army of] King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon captured Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, and his officials, and all his skilled workers [DOU] and took them to Babylon. After that happened, Yahweh gave me a vision. [In the vision] I saw two baskets of figs that had been placed in front of the temple.
2 ଏକ ଡାଲାରେ ଆଦ୍ୟପକ୍ୱ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅତି ଉତ୍ତମ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଥିଲା; ପୁଣି, ଅନ୍ୟ ଡାଲାରେ ଅତି ମନ୍ଦ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ଥିଲା, ସେସବୁ ଏଡ଼େ ମନ୍ଦ ଯେ, ଭୋଜନ କରାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ।
One basket was full of good figs, like the kind that ripen first. The other basket was filled with figs that were bad/rotten, with the result that they could not be eaten.
3 ତେବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଯିରିମୀୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଦେଖୁଅଛ?” ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ, ଉତ୍ତମ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଅତି ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ମନ୍ଦ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଅତି ମନ୍ଦ, ସେସବୁ ଏଡ଼େ ମନ୍ଦ ଯେ, ଭୋଜନ କରାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ।”
Then Yahweh said to me, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I replied, “[I see some] figs. Some are very good ones, but some are very bad, with the result that no one would eat them.”
4 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।
Then Yahweh gave me this message:
5 “ଯଥା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ଯିହୁଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରୁ କଲ୍ଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶକୁ ପଠାଇଅଛୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଉତ୍ତମ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରିବା।
“This is what [I], Yahweh, the God whom the Israeli people [say that they worship], say: ‘The good figs represent [SIM] the people of Judah whom I exiled to Babylonia.
6 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରଖିବା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଏହି ଦେଶକୁ ଆଣିବା; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ଓ ଭଗ୍ନ କରିବା ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ରୋପଣ କରିବା ଓ ଉତ୍ପାଟନ କରିବା ନାହିଁ।
I [SYN] will (watch over/take care of) them well, and [some day] I will bring them back here [to Judah]. I will establish them and cause them to be strong. I will cause them to be prosperous [MET], and I will not exile them [again].
7 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଜାଣିବାର ମନ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେବା; ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକ ହେବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ହେବା; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ସର୍ବାନ୍ତଃକରଣ ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିବେ।
I will enable them to desire to know [IDM] that I am Yahweh. They will be my people, and I will be their God, because they will return to me sincerely.’
8 ଆଉ, ଯେପରି ସେହି ମନ୍ଦ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ଏଡ଼େ ମନ୍ଦ ହେବାରୁ ଭୋଜନ କରାଯାଇ ନ ପାରେ, ସେପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ସିଦିକୀୟକୁ, ତାହାର ଅଧିପତିଗଣକୁ ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ଯେଉଁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ଲୋକେ ଏହି ଦେଶରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ବାସ କରନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା।
But [I], Yahweh, [also] say, ‘The bad figs represent [SIM] Zedekiah, the king of Judah, and his officials, and all the [other] people who remain in Jerusalem, and those who have gone to Egypt. I will do to them like people do to rotten figs.
9 ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ପୃଥିବୀର ସକଳ ରାଜ୍ୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏଣେତେଣେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ, ପୁଣି ଯେସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ତଡ଼ିଦେବା, ସେହି ସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଦୁର୍ନାମ, ପ୍ରବାଦ, ଉପହାସ ଓ ଅଭିଶାପର ପାତ୍ର ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପି ଦେବା।
I will [get rid of them], with the result that people in every nation on the earth will be horrified, and will hate them because they are evil people. Wherever I scatter them, people will make fun of them, and say that they are disgraced, and ridicule them, and curse them.
10 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେଲୁ, ତହିଁରୁ ସେମାନେ ଯେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟକୁ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ଓ ମହାମାରୀ ପଠାଇବା।”
And I will cause them to experience wars and famines and diseases, until they have disappeared from this land which I gave to them and to their ancestors.’”
