ଯିରିମୀୟ 15
1 ସେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦ୍ୟପି ମୋଶା ଓ ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭର ମନ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅନୁକୂଳ ହୁଅନ୍ତା ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଦୂର କର, ସେମାନେ ବାହାରି ଯାଉନ୍ତୁ।
Then said Yahweh unto me, Though Moses and Samuel should stand before me, My soul could not be toward this people, —Send them away from before me And let them go forth.
2 ପୁଣି, ଯଦି ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହନ୍ତି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେଉଁଠାକୁ ବାହାରି ଯିବା?’ ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହା କହିବ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ହତଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ହତ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ, ଖଡ୍ଗଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ନିକଟକୁ, ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦୁର୍ଭିକ୍ଷ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଓ ବନ୍ଦୀତ୍ୱର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ବନ୍ଦୀସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାଉନ୍ତୁ।’
And it shall come to pass when they say unto thee Whither shall we go? Then shalt, thou say unto them, Thus saith Yahweh—Such as are for death, to death, and Such as are for the sword, to the sword, and Such as are for famine, to the famine, and Such as are for captivity, to captivity.
3 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖଡ୍ଗ, ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ କୁକ୍କୁରଗଣ, ପୁଣି ଗ୍ରାସ ଓ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖେଚର ପକ୍ଷୀଗଣ ଓ ଭୂଚର ପଶୁଗଣ, ଏହି ଚାରି ଜାତିକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିବା।
And I will set in charge over them—four species Declareth Yahweh, The sword to slay, and The dogs to trail along, —and The bird of the heavens and The beast of the earth to devour and to destroy.
4 ଆଉ, ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକୀୟର ପୁତ୍ର ମନଃଶିର ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ କୃତକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସକାଶୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥିବୀର ଯାବତୀୟ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଏଣେତେଣେ ନିକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ କରାଇବା।
And I will make them a terror, to all the kingdoms of the earth, —On account of Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah, For what he did in Jerusalem.
5 କାରଣ ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ, କିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦୟା କରିବ? ଅବା କିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଲାଗି ବିଳାପ କରିବ? ଅଥବା ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ବିଷୟ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ କିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ?
For who shall have pity upon thee O Jerusalem? And who shall lament for thee? And who shall turn aside, to ask for thy welfare?
6 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିଅଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପଛକୁ ହଟି ଯାଇଅଛ; ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ କ୍ଷମା କରି କରି କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ।
Thou, hast abandoned, me, Declareth Yahweh, Backward, thou wilt go, Therefore have I stretched forth my hand against thee and laid thee waste, —I am weary of having compassion.
7 ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଶର ପୁରଦ୍ୱାରସମୂହରେ କୁଲାରେ ପାଛୁଡ଼ି ଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି ବିହୀନ କରିଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିଅଛୁ; ସେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପଥରୁ ଫେରି ନାହାନ୍ତି।
Therefore have I winnowed them with a winnowing shovel in the gates of the land, —I have bereaved—I have destroyed my people, From their own ways, have they not returned.
8 ଆମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଧବାମାନେ ସମୁଦ୍ରର ବାଲି ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବହୁସଂଖ୍ୟକ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯୁବାଗଣର ମାତା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିନାଶକ ଏକ ଜଣକ ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ କାଳରେ ଆଣିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅକସ୍ମାତ୍ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଦୁଃଖ ଓ ଆଶଙ୍କା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଅଛୁ।
Their widows have become multiplied to me, beyond the sand of the seas, I have brought against them—upon the mother of young men—the spoiler in the broad noon, —I have let fall upon her suddenly, excitement and terrors.
9 ସାତ ସନ୍ତାନପ୍ରସୂତା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ କ୍ଷୀଣା ହେଉଅଛି; ସେ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛି; ଦିନ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ତାହାର ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅସ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ସେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତା ଓ ହତାଶା ହୋଇଅଛି; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣର ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା,” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
Languisheth! she who had given birth to seven, She hath breathed out her life Her sun hath gone in, while yet it was day, She hath turned pale and hath turned red, —And the remnant of them, to the sword, will I deliver before their enemies, Declareth Yahweh.
10 ଗୋ ଆମ୍ଭର ମାତା, ମୁଁ ସନ୍ତାପର ପାତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ସମୁଦାୟ ପୃଥିବୀର ବିରୋଧ ଓ ବିବାଦର ପାତ୍ର କରି ଜାତ କରିଅଛ! ମୁଁ ସୁଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଋଣ ଦେଇ ନାହିଁ; କିଅବା ଲୋକେ ମୋତେ ସୁଧ ଲାଗି ଋଣ ଦେଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ତଥାପି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ମୋତେ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦିଅନ୍ତି।
Woe to me! my mother, That thou didst bear me, A man of litigation and a man of contention to all the land, —I have not lent on interest Nor have they lent on interest to me, Every one, hath treated me with contempt.
11 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସବଳ କରିବା; ଆମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ବିପଦ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଦ୍ଦଶା ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ବିନତି କରାଇବା।
Said Yahweh, —Verily, I will loose thee, for good! Verily, I will intercede for thee In the time of calamity, and In the time of distress with the enemy!
12 ଲୌହ, ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୌହ ଓ ପିତ୍ତଳ କି କେହି ଭାଙ୍ଗିପାରେ?
Shall iron crush the iron from the North and the bronze?
13 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଓ ଧନଭଣ୍ଡାରସବୁ ବିନାମୂଲ୍ୟରେ ଲୁଟିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଦେବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମୁଦାୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାପସମୂହର ସକାଶେ ତାହା କରିବା।
Thy substance and thy treasures—for a prey, will I give, without price, —Even for all thy sins and in all thy bounds:
14 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣର ସଙ୍ଗରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଅଜ୍ଞାତ ଏକ ଦେଶକୁ ନେଇଯିବା; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭର କ୍ରୋଧରୂପ ଅଗ୍ନି ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିବ।”
Therefore will I make thee pass, with thine enemies into a land thou knowest not, —For, a fire, hath been kindled in mine anger Upon you, shall it burn.
15 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣୁଅଛ; ମୋତେ ସ୍ମରଣ କର ଓ ମୋହର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱାନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କର, ପୁଣି ମୋର ତାଡ଼ନାକାରୀମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପରିଶୋଧ ନିଅ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୀର୍ଘସହିଷ୍ଣୁତା ସକାଶୁ ମୋତେ ସଂହାର କର ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସକାଶୁ ନିନ୍ଦାଭୋଗ କରିଅଛି, ଏହା ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୁଅ।
Thou knowest—O Yahweh Remember me and visit me and avenge me upon my persecutors, Do not of thy longsuffering, take me away, —Know—I have borne for thy sake, reproach.
16 ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲା, ପୁଣି ମୁଁ ତାହା ଭୋଜନ କଲି; ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋର ଆନନ୍ଦ ଓ ଚିତ୍ତର ଆହ୍ଲାଦଜନକ ହେଲା; କାରଣ ହେ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ ଅଟେ।
Thy words, were found, and I did eat them, Then became thy words unto me the joy and gladness of my heart, —For thy Name hath been called upon me, O Yahweh God of hosts!
17 ମୁଁ ଆମୋଦ-ପ୍ରମୋଦକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସଭାରେ ବସିଲି ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଆନନ୍ଦ କଲି ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ହସ୍ତ ସକାଶୁ ମୁଁ ଏକାକୀ ବସିଲି; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ କ୍ରୋଧରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିଅଛ।
I sat not in the circle of mockers, Nor became I uproarious, —Because of thy hand, by myself did I sit, For with indignation, hadst thou filled me.
18 ମୋର ବେଦନା ନିତ୍ୟସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଓ ମୋର କ୍ଷତ ଅପ୍ରତୀକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବାକୁ ଅସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ କାହିଁକି? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ନିତାନ୍ତ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନାଜନକ ନଦୀସ୍ରୋତ, ଅସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଜଳ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ?
Wherefore hath my pain become perpetual? And my wound, incurable? Refuseth to be healed? Wilt thou, indeed be, to me [As a brook] that disappointeth, Waters that cannot be trusted?
19 ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଫେରିବ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଠିଆ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆଣିବା; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ନିକୃଷ୍ଟ ବସ୍ତୁରୁ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁ ବାହାର କରି ନେବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ମୁଖ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ; ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିବେ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରିଯିବ ନାହିଁ।
Wherefore Thus, saith Yahweh—If thou wouldst return, I will cause thee to return Before me, shalt thou stand, Yea if thou wilt bring out the precious from among the vile, As mine own mouth shalt thou be, —Let them return unto thee, But thou, shalt not return unto them;
20 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପିତ୍ତଳର ଦୃଢ଼ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ସ୍ୱରୂପ କରିବା; ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରାଜୟ କରି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତ୍ରାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଅଛୁ।
So will I make thee to this people a wall of bronze, fortified, When they fight against thee, they shall not prevail against thee, —For with thee, am, I, to save thee and to deliver thee, Declareth Yahweh;
21 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦୁଷ୍ଟମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଭୟାନକ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବା।”
Thus will I deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, —And redeem thee out of the grasp of the tyrants.
