ଯିଶାଇୟ 64
1 ଆହା, ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟମାନେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ କମ୍ପମାନ ହେବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବିପକ୍ଷଗଣକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ,
Would that thou hadst rent the heavens, hadst come down,
2 ଅଗ୍ନି ଝାଟି ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା ପରି, ଅଗ୍ନି ଜଳ ଫୁଟାଇବା ପରି ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସନ୍ତ ଓ ପର୍ବତଗଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ!
At thy presence, had mountains, quaked: As fire kindleth brushwood, [As] fire causeth, water, to boil, So if thou wouldst make known thy Name to thine adversaries, At thy presence, nations, would tremble.
3 ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅନପେକ୍ଷିତ ଭୟାନକ କ୍ରିୟା କଲ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସିଲ, ପର୍ବତଗଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଲେ।
When thou didst fearful things we could not expect, Thou camest down at thy presence, mountains, quaked.
4 କାରଣ ଯେ ଆପଣା ଅପେକ୍ଷାକାରୀ ପକ୍ଷରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାଧନ କରନ୍ତି, ଲୋକେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛଡ଼ା ଅନ୍ୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ବିଷୟ ଶୁଣି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ଅଥବା କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜ୍ଞାତ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ।
Although from age-past times It was never heard, It was not perceived by the ear, —Neither did, the eye, ever see—That, a god besides thee, could work for the man who waited for him,
5 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଆନନ୍ଦରେ ଧର୍ମାଚରଣ କରେ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିଥାଅ; ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାପ କଲୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୀର୍ଘ କାଳ ତହିଁରେ ରହିଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇବା?
Yet didst thou meet Him who was rejoicing and working righteousness, Even them who in thy ways, remembered thee, —Lo! thou, hast been vexed, And truly we had sinned, Among them, was the prospect of an age [to come], That we might be saved.
6 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଅଶୁଚି ଲୋକ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଅଛୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଧର୍ମକର୍ମସବୁ ଅଶୁଚି ବସ୍ତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅଟେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପତ୍ର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଜୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଉଅଛୁ; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧସବୁ ବାୟୁ ପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଡ଼ାଇ ନିଏ।
But we have become as one unclean all of us, And, as a garment polluted, were all our righteous doings, —And so we faded like a leaf all of us, And, our iniquity, as a wind, carried us away;
7 ପୁଣି, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରେ, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣାକୁ ଉତ୍ତେଜିତ କରେ, ଏପରି କେହି ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଲୁଚାଇଅଛ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅପରାଧ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କ୍ଷୟ କରିଅଛ।
And there was none To call upon thy Name, To rouse himself to lay firm hold on thee, —For thou hadst hidden thy face from us, And hadst made us despond, by means of our iniquity.
8 ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତା ଅଟ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୃତ୍ତିକା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କୁମ୍ଭକାର; ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ହସ୍ତକୃତ କର୍ମ।
But, now, O Yahweh, our father, thou art, —We are the clay, and, thou, art our potter, Yea the work of thy hand, are we all:
9 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଚିରକାଳ ଅପରାଧ ମନରେ ରଖ ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିନତି କରୁ, ଦେଖ, ଦୃଷ୍ଟି କର, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକ।
Do not be indignant, O Yahweh so very greatly, Neither perpetually, do thou recall iniquity, —Lo! look around, we pray thee…thy people, are, we all.
10 ତୁମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ନଗରସବୁ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ହୋଇଅଛି, ସିୟୋନ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ହୋଇଅଛି, ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ଧ୍ୱଂସସ୍ଥାନ ହୋଇଅଛି।
Thy holy cities, have become a wilderness, —Zion, a wilderness, hath become, Jerusalem, a desolation!
11 ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃଲୋକମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସେହି ପବିତ୍ର ଓ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଗୃହ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମନୋରମ୍ୟ ବିଷୟସବୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛି।
Our holy and our beautiful house Where our fathers praised thee, Hath become a conflagration, —And, all our delightful places, are in ruins!
12 ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଏହିସବୁ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଆପଣାକୁ କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ କରି ରଖିବ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ତୁନି ହୋଇ ରହି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କ୍ଲେଶ ଦେବ?
In view of these things, wilt thou restrain thyself. O Yahweh? Wilt thou hold thy peace and humble us so very greatly?
