ଯିଶାଇୟ 48
1 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନାମରେ ଖ୍ୟାତ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଜଳାଶୟରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ଯାକୁବ ବଂଶ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଶପଥ କରୁଅଛ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମ କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରୁଅଛ, ମାତ୍ର ସତ୍ୟରେ କିଅବା ଧାର୍ମିକତାରେ ନୁହେଁ।
Hear these [words], you house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of Juda, who swear by the name of the Lord God of Israel, making mention [of it, but] not with truth, nor with righteousness;
2 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ପବିତ୍ର ନଗରର ଲୋକ ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିର୍ଭର ରଖନ୍ତି; ତାହାଙ୍କର ନାମ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ।
maintaining also the name of the holy city, and staying themselves on the God of Israel: the Lord of hosts is his name. The former things I have already declared;
3 “ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୂର୍ବକାଳର କଥା ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଅଛୁ; ହଁ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭ ମୁଖରୁ ନିର୍ଗତ ହେଲା ଓ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା କଲୁ ଓ ଅକସ୍ମାତ୍ ସେହି ସବୁ ଘଟିଲା।
and they that have proceeded out of my mouth, and it became well known; I wrought suddenly, and [the events] came to pass.
4 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅବାଧ୍ୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗ୍ରୀବା ଲୌହନଳୀ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର କପାଳ ପିତ୍ତଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ବୋଲି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିଲୁ।
I know that you are stubborn, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your forehead brazen.
5 ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ତାହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲୁ; ତାହା ଘଟିବା ପୂର୍ବେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଜଣାଇଲୁ; ନୋହିଲେ ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୁହନ୍ତ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଦେବତା ଏହା କରିଅଛି, ଆମ୍ଭର ଖୋଦିତ ଓ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢଳା ପ୍ରତିମା ଏହା ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛି।
And I told you of old what [should be] before it came upon you; I made it known to you, lest you should say, [My] idols have done [it] for me; and should say, [My] graven and molten images have commanded me.
6 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ; ଏହିସବୁ ଦେଖ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ତାହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ? ଏହି ସମୟଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନୂତନ ବିଷୟ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଜ୍ଞାତ ନିଗୂଢ଼ ବିଷୟ ଦେଖାଇଅଛୁ।
You have heard all this, but you have not known: yet I have made known to you the new things from henceforth, which are coming to pass, and you said not,
7 ସେହି ସବୁ ପୂର୍ବକାଳରୁ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ସୃଷ୍ଟ ହେଲା; ଆଜି ଦିନର ପୂର୍ବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଶୁଣିଲ ନାହିଁ; ନୋହିଲେ ଅବା ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସବୁ ଜାଣିଲୁ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୁହନ୍ତ।
Now they come to pass, and not formerly: and you heard not of them in former days: say not you, Yes, I know them.
8 ବାସ୍ତବିକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣିଲ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିଲ ନାହିଁ; ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ନ ଥିଲା; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ଭାରୀ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକତା କଲ ଓ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀ ବୋଲି ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ହୋଇଥିଲ, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିଲୁ।
You have neither known, nor understood, neither from the beginning have I opened your ears: for I knew that you would surely deal treacherously, and would be called a transgressor even from the womb.
9 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ନ କରୁ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ସମ୍ବରଣ କରିବା ଓ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଶଂସା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହେବା।
For mine own sake will I show you my wrath, and will bring before you my glorious acts, that I may not utterly destroy you.
10 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରିଅଛୁ, ମାତ୍ର ରୂପା ପରି ନୁହେଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଃଖରୂପ ଉହ୍ମାଇରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛୁ।
Behold, I have sold you, [but] not for silver; but I have rescued you from the furnace of affliction.
11 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସକାଶୁ, କେବଳ ଆପଣା ସକାଶୁ ତାହା କରିବା; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ କାହିଁକି ଅପବିତ୍ରୀକୃତ ହେବ? ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୌରବ ଅନ୍ୟକୁ ଦେବା ନାହିଁ।
For mine own sake I will do [this] for you, because my name is profaned; and I will not give my glory to another.
12 ହେ ଯାକୁବ, ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଆହୂତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଅଟୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଦି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ଅନ୍ତ।
Hear me, O Jacob, and Israel whom I call; I am the first, and I endure for ever.
13 ଆହୁରି, ଆମ୍ଭର ହସ୍ତ ପୃଥିବୀର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିଅଛି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଡାହାଣ ହସ୍ତ ଗଗନମଣ୍ଡଳ ବିସ୍ତାର କରିଅଛି; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ଛିଡ଼ା ହୁଅନ୍ତି।”
My hand also has founded the earth, and my right hand has fixed the sky: I will call them, and they shall stand together.
14 “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଏକତ୍ର ହୋଇ ଶୁଣ; ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କିଏ ଏହିସବୁ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଅଛି? ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେ ବାବିଲ ଉପରେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ମନସ୍କାମନା ସିଦ୍ଧ କରିବ ଓ କଲ୍ଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବାହୁ ରହିବ।
And all shall be gathered, and shall hear: who has told them these things? Out of love to you I have fulfilled your desire on Babylon, to abolish the seed of the Chaldeans.
15 ଆମ୍ଭେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ହିଁ ବାକ୍ୟ କହିଅଛୁ; ହଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଣିଅଛୁ, ଆଉ ସେ ଆପଣା ପଥରେ କୃତକାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହେବ।
I have spoken, I have called, I have brought him, and made his way prosperous.
16 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ଏହି କଥା ଶୁଣ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରଥମରୁ ଗୋପନରେ କହି ନାହୁଁ; ତାହା ହେଉଥିବା ସମୟରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେଠାରେ ଅଛୁ;” ପୁଣି, ଏବେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
Draw near to me, and hear you these words; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning: when it took place, there was I, and now the Lord, [even] the Lord, and his Spirit, has sent me.
17 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମୁକ୍ତିଦାତା, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପ, ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; “ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉପକାରଜନକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗନ୍ତବ୍ୟ ପଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗମନ କରାଉ।
Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the Holy One of Israel; I am your God, I have shown you how you should find the way wherein you should walk.
18 ଆଃ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭ ଆଜ୍ଞାରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରିଥାʼନ୍ତ! ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶାନ୍ତି ନଦୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଧାର୍ମିକତା ସମୁଦ୍ରର ତରଙ୍ଗ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥାʼନ୍ତା;
And if you had listened to my commandments, [then] would your peace have been like a river, and your righteousness as a wave of the sea.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟ ବାଲୁକା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଔରସଜାତ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ତହିଁର କଣିକାସମୂହର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥାʼନ୍ତେ; ତାହାର ନାମ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ କିଅବା ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇ ନ ଥାʼନ୍ତା।”
Your seed also would have been as the sand, and the offspring of your belly as the dust of the ground: neither now shall you by any means be utterly destroyed, neither shall your name perish before me.
20 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବାବିଲରୁ ବାହାରି ଯାଅ, କଲ୍ଦୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପଳାଅ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗାୟନ ଧ୍ୱନିରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କରି ଜଣାଅ, ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କର; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କୁହ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଦାସ ଯାକୁବକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
Go forth of Babylon, you that flee from the Chaldeans: utter aloud a voice of joy, and let this be made known, proclaim it to the end of the earth; say you, The Lord has delivered his servant Jacob.
21 ପୁଣି, ସେ ମରୁଭୂମି ଦେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗମନ କରାଇବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ତୃଷାର୍ତ୍ତ ନୋହିଲେ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶୈଳରୁ ଜଳସ୍ରୋତ ବୁହାଇଲେ, ଆହୁରି ସେ ଶୈଳକୁ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ, ପୁଣି ତହିଁରୁ ଜଳ ନିର୍ଗତ ହେଲା।
And if they shall thirst, he shall lead them through the desert; he shall bring forth water to them out of the rock: the rock shall be cloven, and the water shall flow forth, and my people shall drink.
22 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କିଛି ଶାନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।”
There is no joy, says the Lord, to the ungodly.
