ଯିଶାଇୟ 44
1 ତଥାପି ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ମନୋନୀତ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଏବେ ଶୁଣ;
Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
2 ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ ଓ ଗର୍ଭରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗଢ଼ିଲେ, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କରିବେ, ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ଯାକୁବ, ହେ ଆମ୍ଭର ମନୋନୀତ ଯିଶୁରୁଣ, ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ।
Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, who will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
3 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୃଷିତ ଉପରେ ଜଳ ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କ ଭୂମି ଉପରେ ଜଳସ୍ରୋତ ଢାଳିବା; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ବଂଶ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଢାଳିବା;
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thy offspring:
4 ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଜଳସ୍ରୋତ ନିକଟସ୍ଥ ବାଇଶୀ ବୃକ୍ଷ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତୃଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଙ୍କୁରିତ ହେବେ।
And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
5 ଏକ ଜଣ କହିବ, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର;’ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣ ଯାକୁବ ନାମରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଖ୍ୟାତ କରିବ; ଆଉ, ଜଣେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ୱହସ୍ତରେ ସ୍ୱାକ୍ଷର କରିବ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲୀୟ କୁଳ ନାମରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ କରିବ।”
One shall say, I am the LORD’S; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand to the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
6 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା ଓ ତାହାର ମୁକ୍ତିଦାତା ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; “ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଦି ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅନ୍ତ, ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭ ଛଡ଼ା ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆଉ ନାହିଁ।
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
7 ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ପୁରାତନ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା ସମୟଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ତୁଲ୍ୟ କିଏ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିବ ଓ ତାହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବ ଓ ଯଥାକ୍ରମେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ତାହା ସଜାଇବ? ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଯାହା ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଓ ଯାହା ଯାହା ଘଟିବ, ତାହା ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତୁ।
And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show to them.
8 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କମ୍ପିତ କିଅବା ଭୀତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରି ନାହୁଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହା ଜଣାଇ ନାହୁଁ? ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସାକ୍ଷୀ। ଆମ୍ଭ ଭିନ୍ନ ଆଉ କି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଛନ୍ତି? ଅନ୍ୟ ଶୈଳ ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ କାହାକୁ ଜାଣୁ ନା।”
Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? verily, there is no God; I know not any.
9 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଅସାର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମନୋହର ବିଷୟମାନ ଉପକାରକ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିଜ ସାକ୍ଷୀଗଣ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
10 ଯାହା କୌଣସି ବିଷୟରେ ଉପକାରକ ନୁହେଁ, ଏପରି ଦେବତା କିଏ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଅଛି, ଅବା ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା କିଏ ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢାଳିଅଛି?
Who hath formed a god, or cast a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
11 ଦେଖ, ତାହାର ସହାୟ ସମସ୍ତେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ; ପୁଣି, ଶିଳ୍ପକାରୀମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମାତ୍ର; ସେସମସ୍ତେ ଏକତ୍ର ହେଉନ୍ତୁ, ସେମାନେ ଛିଡ଼ା ହେଉନ୍ତୁ; ସେମାନେ କମ୍ପିତ ହେବେ, ସେମାନେ ଏକାବେଳେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ।
Behold, all his companions shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
12 କର୍ମକାର ଲୌହ ଅସ୍ତ୍ର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ତପ୍ତ ଅଙ୍ଗାରରେ କର୍ମ କରେ ଓ ହାତୁଡ଼ିରେ ତାହା ଗଢ଼ି ନିଜର ବଳିଷ୍ଠ ବାହୁରେ ତାହା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରେ; ହଁ, ସେ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହୁଏ ଓ ତାହାର ବଳ ଊଣା ପଡ଼ିଯାଏ, ସେ ଜଳ ପାନ ନ କରି କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୁଏ।
The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
13 ସୂତ୍ରଧର ସୂତା ଟାଣେ; ସେ ସିନ୍ଦୁର ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚିହ୍ନ ଦିଏ, ସେ ରନ୍ଦା ବୁଲାଇ ଆକୃତି କରି କମ୍ପାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚିହ୍ନ ଦିଏ ଓ ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଆକୃତି ଓ ସୌନ୍ଦର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ତାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରେ।
The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
14 ସେ ଆପଣା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଏରସ ବୃକ୍ଷ କାଟେ, ତର୍ସା ଓ ଅଲୋନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ନିଏ, ସେ ବନବୃକ୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ଦୃଢ଼ କରେ; ସେ ଦେବଦାରୁ ବୃକ୍ଷ ରୋପଣ କରେ ଓ ବୃଷ୍ଟି ତାହା ବଢ଼ାଏ।
He heweth down cedars for himself and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
15 ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ତାହା ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଜାଳେଣି କାଷ୍ଠ ହୁଏ; ସେ ତହିଁରୁ କିଛି ନେଇ ଅଗ୍ନି ତାପ ନିଏ; ଆଉ, ସେ ତାହା ଜାଳି ରୁଟି ପାକ କରେ; ଆହୁରି, ଗୋଟିଏ ଦେବତା କରି ତାହା ପୂଜା କରେ; ସେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା କରି ତାହା ଆଗରେ ଦଣ୍ଡବତ କରେ।
Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take of it, and warm himself; indeed, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down to it.
16 ସେ ତହିଁରୁ ଏକ ଅଂଶ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ପୋଡ଼େ; ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଂଶରେ ସେ ମାଂସ ପାକ କରି ଭୋଜନ କରେ ଓ ଶୂଲ୍ୟମାଂସ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ଆହୁରି ସେ ଅଗ୍ନି ତାପ ନେଇ କହେ, “ଆଃ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଉଷ୍ଣ ହେଲୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଦେଖିଲୁ।”
He burneth part of it in the fire; with part of it he eateth flesh; he roasteth meat, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
17 ପୁଣି, ସେ ତହିଁର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏକ ଦେବତା, ଆପଣାର ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରେ; ସେ ତାହା ଆଗରେ ଦଣ୍ଡବତ କରି ପୂଜା କରେ ଓ ତାହା ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହେ, “ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦେବତା।”
And the rest of it he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down to it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth to it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
18 ସେମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ବିବେଚନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଦେଖି ନ ପାରିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଓ ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ବୁଝି ନ ପାରିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଚିତ୍ତ ସେ ମୁଦ୍ରିତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
19 କେହି ମନେ କରେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଏହା କହିବା ପାଇଁ କାହାରି ଜ୍ଞାନ କି ବୁଦ୍ଧି ନାହିଁ ଯେ, “ଯହିଁର ଏକ ଅଂଶ ନେଇ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ଯହିଁର ଜ୍ୱଳ; ଅଙ୍ଗାର ନେଇ ରୁଟି ପାକ କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ମାଂସ ପାକ କରି ଭୋଜନ କରିଅଛୁ, ତହିଁର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ନେଇ କି ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା? ଆମ୍ଭେ କି ଖଣ୍ଡେ କାଷ୍ଠ ଆଗରେ ଦଣ୍ଡବତ କରିବା?”
And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; I have also baked bread upon its coals; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the rest of it an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
20 ସେ ଭସ୍ମ ଭୋଜନ କରେ; ସେ ଯେପରି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରି ନ ପାରେ, “କିଅବା ଆମ୍ଭ ଡାହାଣ ହସ୍ତରେ କି ମିଥ୍ୟା ନାହିଁ,” ଏହା କହି ନ ପାରେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଚିତ୍ତ ତାହାକୁ ବିପଥଗାମୀ କରିଅଛି।
He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
21 ହେ ଯାକୁବ, ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହିସବୁ କଥା ସ୍ମରଣ କର, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗଢ଼ିଅଛୁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଦାସ; ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିସ୍ମୃତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten by me.
22 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଧର୍ମସବୁ ନିବିଡ଼ କୁହୁଡ଼ିର ନ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାପସବୁ ମେଘ ପରି ମାର୍ଜନା କରିଅଛୁ; ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛୁ।
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return to me; for I have redeemed thee.
23 ହେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ, ଗାନ କର, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା ସାଧନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ହେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଅଧଃସ୍ଥାନସକଳ, ଆନନ୍ଦଧ୍ୱନି କର; ହେ ପର୍ବତଗଣ, ହେ ଅରଣ୍ୟ ଓ ତନ୍ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ବୃକ୍ଷ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ଗାନ କର; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯାକୁବକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଗୌରବାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବେ।
Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree in it: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
24 ତୁମ୍ଭର ମୁକ୍ତିଦାତା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗଢ଼ିଲେ, ସେ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି; “ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସବୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସାଧନ କରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏକାକୀ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ବିସ୍ତାର କରୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ପ୍ରସାର କରୁ; ଆମ୍ଭର ସଙ୍ଗୀ କିଏ?
Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
25 ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କର (ଦତ୍ତ) ଲକ୍ଷଣସବୁ ବିଫଳ କରୁ ଓ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଜ୍ଞମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉନ୍ମତ୍ତ କରୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଛକୁ ହଟାଇ ଦେଉ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଜ୍ଞାନ ମୂର୍ଖତା କରୁ;
That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
26 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସର ବାକ୍ୟ ଦୃଢ଼ କରୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଦୂତଗଣର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ସିଦ୍ଧ କରୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁ, ତାହା ବସତିବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ହେବ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ନଗରମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁ, ‘ସେହି ସବୁ ପୁନଃନିର୍ମିତ ହେବ,’ ‘ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତହିଁର ଉଜାଡ଼ ସ୍ଥାନସବୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ପତ୍ତନ କରିବା;’
That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up its decayed places:
27 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଅଗାଧ ଜଳକୁ କହୁ, ‘ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୁଅ; ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ନଦ-ନଦୀସବୁ ଶୁଷ୍କ କରିବା;’
That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:
28 ଆମ୍ଭେ କୋରସ୍ ବିଷୟରେ କହୁ, ‘ସେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପଲର ପାଳକ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଇଷ୍ଟ ସାଧନ କରିବ;’ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ବିଷୟରେ କହିବ, ‘ତାହା ପୁନଃନିର୍ମିତ ହେବ’ ଓ ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ କହିବ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ଥାପିତ ହେବ।’”
That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and he shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
