1 ମୋʼ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା କର, ସାନ୍ତ୍ୱନା କର, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହନ୍ତି।

2 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ଚିତ୍ତ ପ୍ରବୋଧକ କଥା କୁହ, ଆଉ ତାହାର ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେଲା, ତାହାର ଅପରାଧ କ୍ଷମା ହେଲା, ସେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରୁ ଆପଣାର ସମସ୍ତ ପାପ ସକାଶୁ ଦୁଇଗୁଣ ପାଇଅଛି ବୋଲି ତାହା ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରଚାର କର।

3 ଏକ ଜଣର ରବ ପ୍ରଚାର କରେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପଥ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର, ମରୁଭୂମି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ରାଜପଥ ସଳଖ କର।

4 ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉପତ୍ୟକା ଉଚ୍ଚ କରାଯିବ, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପର୍ବତ ଓ ଉପପର୍ବତ ନୀଚ କରାଯିବ ଓ ବକ୍ର ସଳଖ କରାଯିବ, ଆଉ ରଗଡ଼ା ସ୍ଥାନସବୁ ସମାନ କରାଯିବ;

5 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମହିମା ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବ ଓ ଯାବତୀୟ ମର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟ ଏକତ୍ର ତାହା ଦେଖିବେ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଏହା କହିଅଛି।”

6 ଏକ ଜଣର ରବ କହେ, “ପ୍ରଚାର କର,” ତହିଁରେ ଜଣେ କହିଲା, “କଅଣ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବା?” ମର୍ତ୍ତ୍ୟ ମାତ୍ର ତୃଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଓ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ଶୋଭା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ପୁଷ୍ପର ତୁଲ୍ୟ;

7 ତୃଣ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୋଇଯାଏ, ପୁଷ୍ପ ମ୍ଳାନ ହୁଏ; କାରଣ ତହିଁ ଉପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଶ୍ୱାସବାୟୁ ବହେ, ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୃଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ।

8 ତୃଣ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୋଇଯାଏ, ପୁଷ୍ପ ମଳିନ ହୁଏ; ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ।

9 ହେ ସିୟୋନ ନିକଟରେ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାରକାରିଣୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତକୁ ଯାଅ; ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନିକଟରେ ସୁସମାଚାର ପ୍ରଚାରକାରିଣୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବଳରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କର, ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱର କର, ଭୟ କର ନାହିଁ; ଯିହୁଦାର ନଗରସମୂହକୁ କୁହ, “ହେଇ ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର!”

10 ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରାକ୍ରମୀର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆସିବେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର ବାହୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରିବ; ଦେଖ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପୁରସ୍କାର ଅଛି ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଅଛି।

11 ସେ ମେଷପାଳକ ପରି ଆପଣା ପଲ ଚରାଇବେ, ମେଷଛୁଆମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ବାହୁରେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବେ ଓ ଆପଣା କୋଳରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବହି ନେବେ, ଆଉ ଦୁଗ୍ଧଦାୟିନୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଚଳାଇବେ।

12 କିଏ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତର ପୋଷରେ ଜଳରାଶି ମାପିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଚାଖଣ୍ଡ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳର ପରିମାଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ଗୌଣୀରେ ପୃଥିବୀର ଧୂଳିସବୁ ଭରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ପର୍ବତଗଣକୁ ନିକ୍ତିରେ ଓ ଉପପର୍ବତଗଣକୁ ତରାଜୁରେ ତୌଲି ଅଛନ୍ତି?

14 ସେ କାହାର ସହିତ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ, କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲା ଓ ବିଚାରର ପଥ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଶିଖାଇଲା ଓ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେଲା ଓ ବିବେଚନାର ମାର୍ଗ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖାଇଲା?

15 ଦେଖ, ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନେ କଳସର ଜଳବିନ୍ଦୁ ପରି ଓ ନିକ୍ତିର ଧୂଳି କଣିକା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଗଣ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି; ଦେଖ, ସେ ଦ୍ୱୀପସମୂହକୁ ଅତି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉଠାନ୍ତି।

16 ପୁଣି, ଲିବାନୋନ ଜାଳ ପାଇଁ ଓ ତହିଁର ପଶୁଗଣ ହୋମବଳି ପାଇଁ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ନୁହନ୍ତି।

17 ସର୍ବଦେଶୀୟମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଅବସ୍ତୁ ମାତ୍ର; ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଅବସ୍ତୁରୁ ଲଘୁ ଓ ଅସାର ଗଣ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି।

18 ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହା ସଙ୍ଗେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ତୁଳନା କରିବ? ଅବା କେଉଁ ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସଦୃଶ କରିବ?

19 ଶିଳ୍ପକର ପ୍ରତିମା ଛାଞ୍ଚରେ ଢାଳେ ଓ ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣକାର ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣରେ ତାହା ମଣ୍ଡନ କରେ, ଆଉ ତହିଁ ନିମନ୍ତେ ରୂପା ଜଞ୍ଜିର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରେ।

20 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଉପହାର ପାଇଁ ଅତି ଦରିଦ୍ର, ସେ ଅପଚ୍ୟ କୌଣସି କାଷ୍ଠ ମନୋନୀତ କରେ, ସେ ଅଟଳ ଏକ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜଣେ ନିପୁଣ ଶିଳ୍ପକରର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରେ।

21 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଜାଣି ନାହଁ? ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଶୁଣି ନାହଁ? ଆଦ୍ୟକାଳରୁ କି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଯାଇ ନାହିଁ? ପୃଥିବୀର ପତ୍ତନଠାରୁ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝି ନାହଁ?

22 ସେ ଭୂମଣ୍ଡଳର ଉପରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ତନ୍ନିବାସୀଗଣ ଫଡ଼ିଙ୍ଗ ସ୍ୱରୂପ; ସେ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରାତପ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ ପ୍ରସାରନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ବସତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ତମ୍ବୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତାହା ବିସ୍ତାରନ୍ତି;

23 ସେ ଭୂପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅକିଞ୍ଚିତ କରନ୍ତି; ସେ ପୃଥିବୀର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୂଲ୍ୟହୀନ କରନ୍ତି।

24 ହଁ, ସେମାନେ ରୋପିତ ହୋଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ହଁ, ସେମାନେ ବୁଣାଯାଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି; ହଁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗଣ୍ଡିର ଚେର ଭୂମିରେ ମାଡ଼ି ନାହିଁ, ଆହୁରି ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଫୁଙ୍କ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ଓ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁ ନଡ଼ା ପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଡ଼ାଇ ନିଏ।

25 ଏହେତୁ ସେହି ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହାର ସମାନ ହୋଇ ପାରିବୁ, ଏପରି କାହା ସଙ୍ଗରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଉପମା ଦେବ?

26 ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱଦୃଷ୍ଟି କରି ଦେଖ, ଏହି ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ କିଏ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିଅଛନ୍ତି? ସେ ସୈନ୍ୟସମୂହର ନ୍ୟାୟ ସଂଖ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣନ୍ତି; ସେ, ସମସ୍ତର ନାମ ଧରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକନ୍ତି; ତାହାଙ୍କ ପରାକ୍ରମର ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଓ ସେ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ହେବା ସକାଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଗୋଟିଏ ହେଁ ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ।

27 “ଆମ୍ଭର ପଥ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗୁପ୍ତ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର ଆମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନର ଅତୀତ,” ହେ ଯାକୁବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଏହା କହୁଅଛ, ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଏହା କହୁଅଛ?

28 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଜାଣି ନାହଁ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ଶୁଣି ନାହଁ? ପୃଥିବୀର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତସକଳର ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା ଅନାଦି ଅନନ୍ତ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିମ୍ବା ଶ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ; ତାହାଙ୍କର ବୁଦ୍ଧି ବୋଧର ଅଗମ୍ୟ।

29 ସେ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ଲୋକକୁ ଶକ୍ତି ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ବଳହୀନ ଲୋକର ବଳ ବଢ଼ାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତି।

30 ତରୁଣମାନେ ହେଁ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ଓ ଶ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହେବେ, ପୁଣି ଯୁବକମାନେ ନିତାନ୍ତ ପଡ଼ିଯିବେ;
and to faint youth and be weary/toil and youth to stumble to stumble
31 ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ନୂଆ ନୂଆ ବଳ ପାଇବେ; ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଶ ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି ପକ୍ଷରେ ଉପରକୁ ଉଠିବେ; ସେମାନେ ଶ୍ରାନ୍ତ ନ ହୋଇ ଦୌଡ଼ିବେ; ସେମାନେ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ନ ହୋଇ ଗମନ କରିବେ।
