ଯିଶାଇୟ 38
1 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ହିଜକୀୟର ସାଂଘାତିକ ପୀଡ଼ା ହୋଇଥିଲା। ତହିଁରେ ଆମୋସଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିଶାଇୟ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ବିଷୟ ସଜାଡ଼; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମରିବ, ବଞ୍ଚିବ ନାହିଁ।”
In those days, was Hezekiah sick, unto death, —and Isaiah the prophet son of Amoz came in unto him, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, Set in order thy house, for, about to die thou art and shalt not recover.
2 ଏଥିରେ ହିଜକୀୟ କାନ୍ଥ ଆଡ଼େ ମୁଖ ଫେରାଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରି କହିଲା,
Then Hezekiah turned his face unto the wall, —and prayed unto Yahweh;
3 “ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ମୁଁ କିପରି ସତ୍ୟତାରେ ଓ ସିଦ୍ଧ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରିଅଛି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଉତ୍ତମ କର୍ମ କରିଅଛି, ଏହା ଏବେ ସ୍ମରଣ କର।” ଆଉ, ହିଜକୀୟ ଅତିଶୟ ରୋଦନ କଲା।
and said, —I beseech thee, O Yahweh, remember, I pray thee, how I have walked before thee in faithfulness and with an undivided heart, and, that which is good in thine eyes, have I done. And Hezekiah wept aloud.
4 ସେତେବେଳେ ଯିଶାଇୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା।
Then came the word of Yahweh unto, Isaiah, saying:
5 “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଇ ହିଜକୀୟକୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋତକ ଦେଖିଅଛୁ, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆୟୁ ପନ୍ଦର ବର୍ଷ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା।
Go, and say unto Hezekiah—Thus, saith Yahweh, the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears, —Behold me! about to add unto thy days, fifteen years;
6 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ଏହି ନଗରକୁ ଅଶୂରୀୟ ରାଜା ହସ୍ତରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ନଗରର ସପକ୍ଷ ହେବା।’”
And out of the hand of the king of Assyria, will I deliver thee, and this city; And I will throw a covering over this city.
7 ଆଉ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଉକ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟ ଯେ ସଫଳ କରିବେ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ଚିହ୍ନ ହେବ;
And, this, to thee, shall be the sign from Yahweh, —that Yahweh will do this thing which he hath spoken: —
8 ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆହସ୍ର ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଘଟିକାରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟର ଛାୟା ଯେତେ ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇଅଛି, ତାହା ଦଶ ପାହୁଣ୍ଡ ପଛକୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣିବା। ତହୁଁ ଘଟିକାରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଯେଉଁ ଦଶ ପାହୁଣ୍ଡ ଆଗକୁ ଯାଇଥିଲା, ପଛକୁ ସେତିକି ଫେରି ଆସିଲା।
Behold me! causing the shadow on the steps, which hath come gone down on the steps of Ahaz with the sun, to return, backwards ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps, by the steps which it had come down.
9 ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ହିଜକୀୟ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ହୋଇ ଆପଣା ପୀଡ଼ାରୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏହା ଲେଖିଲା, ଯଥା,
the writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and then recovered from his sickness:
10 ମୁଁ କହିଲି, ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ଆୟୁର ମଧ୍ୟାହ୍ନ ସମୟରେ ପାତାଳର ପୁରଦ୍ୱାରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବି; ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ବର୍ଷସମୂହର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତିରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ହେଲି। (Sheol h7585)
I, said—In the noontide of my days, I must enter the gates of hades, —I am deprived of the residue of my years! (Sheol h7585)
11 ମୁଁ କହିଲି ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ, ଜୀବିତମାନଙ୍କ ଦେଶରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିବି ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ଜଗନ୍ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟକୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିବି ନାହିଁ।
I said—I shall not see Yah, Yah, in the land of the living, I shall discern the son of earth no longer, with the dwellers in the quiet land.
12 ମୋହର ଆୟୁ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହୋଇଅଛି ଓ ମେଷପାଳକର ତମ୍ବୁ ପରି ମୋʼ ଠାରୁ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ମୁଁ ତନ୍ତୀ ପରି ଆପଣା ଜୀବନ ଗୁଡ଼ାଇଅଛି; ସେ ମୋତେ ତନ୍ତରୁ କାଟି ପକାଇବେ; ଏକ ଦିବାରାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେ ମୋତେ ଶେଷ କରିବେ।
My dwelling, hath been broken up. And is stripped from me, like a shepherd’s tent, —I have rolled up—as a weaver—my life From the loom, doth he cut me off, From day until night, [I said] —Thou wilt finish me.
13 ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଭାତ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣାକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥିର କଲି; ଯେପରି ସିଂହ, ସେହିପରି ସେ ମୋହର ଅସ୍ଥିସବୁ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି; ଏକ ଦିବାରାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଶେଷ କରିବ।
I cried out, until morning, like a lion, Thus, will he break all my bones! From day until night, Thou wilt finish me!
14 ଯେପରି ତାଳଚୋଞ୍ଚ ଅବା ସାରସ ପକ୍ଷୀ ଶବ୍ଦ କରନ୍ତି, ସେହିପରି ମୁଁ ଚିଁ ଚିଁ ଶବ୍ଦ କଲି; ମୁଁ କପୋତ ପରି ଶୋକ କଲି; ଉପରକୁ ଅନାଇ ଅନାଇ ମୋହର ଚକ୍ଷୁ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେଉଅଛି; ହେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୋ, ମୁଁ ଉପଦ୍ରବଗ୍ରସ୍ତ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋହର ଲଗା ହୁଅ।
As a twittering swallow, so, do I chatter, I coo as a dove, —Mine eyes languish through looking on high, O My Lord! distress is upon me—my Surety!
15 ମୁଁ କଅଣ କହିବି? ସେ ତ ମୋତେ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପେ ତାହା ସାଧନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣର ତିକ୍ତତା ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣାର ସବୁ ବର୍ଷଯାକ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଗମନ କରିବି।
What can I say? Since he hath promised for me, Himself, will perform. I will go softly, all my years. Because of the bitterness of my soul,
16 ହେ ପ୍ରଭୋ, ଏହିସବୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲୋକେ ବଞ୍ଚନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ତହିଁରେ ହିଁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ମୋʼ ଆତ୍ମାର ଜୀବନ ଅଛି, ଏହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରି ସଜୀବ କର।
O My Lord! on those things do men live, —And, altogether in them, is the life of my spirit, When thou hast strengthened me and made me live.
17 ଦେଖ, ମୁଁ ଆପଣାର ଶାନ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ବଡ଼ ଦୁଃଖ ପାଇଲି; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରେମ କରି ବିନାଶକୂପରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କଲ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପଛଆଡ଼େ ମୋହର ପାପସବୁ ପକାଇ ଦେଇଅଛ।
Lo! for well-being, I had bitterness—bitterness, —But, thou, cleaving unto my soul, hast raised me from the pit of corruption, For thou hast cast, behind thy back all my sins.
18 ଯେହେତୁ ପାତାଳ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରି ନ ପାରେ, ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗୁଣ କୀର୍ତ୍ତନ କରି ନ ପାରେ; ଗର୍ତ୍ତଗାମୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସତ୍ୟତା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶା କରି ନ ପାରନ୍ତି। (Sheol h7585)
For, hades, cannot praise thee Nor, death, celebrate thee, —They who go down to the pit cannot wait for thy faithfulness. (Sheol h7585)
19 ଯେପରି ଆଜି ମୁଁ କରୁଅଛି, ସେହିପରି ଜୀବିତ ଲୋକ, କେବଳ ଜୀବିତ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରିବ; ପିତା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସତ୍ୟତା ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଇବ।
The living, the living, he, can praise thee, As I do this day, —A father, to his children, can make known thy faithfulness.
20 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋହର ପରିତ୍ରାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ; ଏହେତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜୀବନଯାଏ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ତାରଯୁକ୍ତ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ସହିତ ମୋହର ସଙ୍ଗୀତ ଗାନ କରିବୁ।
Yahweh, [was willing] to save me, —Therefore, on my stringed instruments, will we play—All the days of our life By the house of Yahweh.
21 ଯିଶାଇୟ କହିଥିଲେ, “ସେମାନେ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଚକ୍ତି ନେଇ ସ୍ପୋଟକ ଉପରେ ଦେଉନ୍ତୁ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ସୁସ୍ଥ ହେବ।”
And Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and let them press it over the boil, that he may recover.
22 ହିଜକୀୟ ମଧ୍ୟ କହିଥିଲା, “ମୁଁ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଯିବି, ଏଥିର ଚିହ୍ନ କଅଣ?”
And Hezekiah had said—What is the sign—that I shall go up unto the house of Yahweh?
