ଯିଶାଇୟ 31
1 ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମିସରକୁ ଯାଆନ୍ତି ଓ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣରେ ନିର୍ଭର କରନ୍ତି ଓ ରଥ ଅନେକ ହେବାରୁ, ଆଉ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀଗଣ ଅତି ବଳବାନ ହେବାରୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ନ ଅନାନ୍ତି, କିଅବା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ ନ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ସନ୍ତାପର ପାତ୍ର!
Alas! for them who are going down to Egypt for help, On horses, would rely, —And have trusted—In chariots—because they are many, and In horsemen, because they are very bold, But have not looked unto the Holy One of Israel, And onto Yahweh, have not sought.
2 ତଥାପି ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜ୍ଞାନବାନ ଓ ସେ ଅମଙ୍ଗଳ ଘଟାଇବେ, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ୟଥା କରିବେ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ କୁକ୍ରିୟାକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଓ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହାୟଗଣର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଉଠିବେ।
But, he also, is wise, and hath brought in calamity, And his own words, hath he not set aside, —Therefore will he rise up, Against the house of evil-doers, and Against the help of the workers of iniquity.
3 ମିସରୀୟମାନେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ମାତ୍ର, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ନୁହନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣ ମାଂସ ମାତ୍ର, ଆତ୍ମା ନୁହନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାର କଲେ, ସହାୟକାରୀ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିବ ଓ ସହାୟପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ପଡ଼ିଯିବ, ପୁଣି ଦୁହେଁ ଏକତ୍ର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ।
Now, the Egyptians, are, men, and not, GOD, And, their horses, flesh, and not, spirit; When, Yahweh, shall stretch out his hand, Then, he that is giving help, shall stumble And, he that is receiving help, shall fall, And, together, shall, all of them, vanish!
4 କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ଯେପରି ସିଂହ ଓ ଯୁବା ସିଂହ ଆପଣା ଶିକାର ଉପରେ ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କରେ, ଅନେକ ଅନେକ ମେଷପାଳକ ତାହା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଡକାଗଲେ ହେଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ରବରେ ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କ କୋଳାହଳରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଅବନତ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେହିପରି ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସିୟୋନ ପର୍ବତରେ ଓ ତହିଁର ଉପପର୍ବତରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆସିବେ।
For Thus, hath Yahweh said unto me—Like as a lion or a young lion growleth over his prey. Who—though there be called out against him a multitude of shepherds—Will not at their voice, be dismayed, Nor, at their noise, be daunted, So, will Yahweh of hosts come down, to make war over Mount Zion, and over the hill thereof.
5 ଯେପରି ପକ୍ଷୀମାନେ ଉଡ଼ି ଉଡ଼ି ରକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି, ସେହିପରି ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ; ସେ ତାହାକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରିବେ, ସେ ତାହାକୁ ନିସ୍ତାର କରି ରକ୍ଷା କରିବେ।”
As little mother-birds hovering, so, will Yahweh of hosts throw a covering over Jerusalem, —Covering, so will he rescue, Passing over, so will he deliver!
6 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅତିଶୟ ଦ୍ରୋହାଚରଣ କରି ଯାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହୋଇଅଛ, ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସ।
Return ye unto him against whom the sons of Israel have deeply revolted,
7 କାରଣ ସେହି ଦିନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତନିର୍ମିତ ରୌପ୍ୟପ୍ରତିମା ଓ ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣ-ପ୍ରତିମାରୂପ ପାପବସ୍ତୁ ପକାଇ ଦେବ।
For in that day, will every man reject his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, —Which your hands had made for you as a sin!
8 “ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଅଶୂରୀୟ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ପତିତ ହେବ, ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ନୁହେଁ; ପୁଣି ଖଡ୍ଗ ତାହାକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ, ମାତ୍ର ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଖଡ୍ଗ ନୁହେଁ; ଆଉ, ସେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ପଳାଇବ ଓ ତାହାର ଯୁବକମାନେ ପରାଧୀନ ହେବେ।
Then shall the Assyrian fall, by the sword, not of a great man, And the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him, —Howbeit he shall take his flight from the face of a sword, And his young men, shall come under tribute;
9 ପୁଣି, ତ୍ରାସପ୍ରଯୁକ୍ତ ତାହାର ଶୈଳ ଅନ୍ତର୍ହିତ ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ଧ୍ୱଜା ଦେଖି ଉଦ୍ବିଗ୍ନ ହେବେ,” ସିୟୋନରେ ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଅଗ୍ନି ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମରେ ଯାହାଙ୍କର ଅଗ୍ନିକୁଣ୍ଡ ଅଛି, ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି।
And his own Cliff, through terror, shall he pass by, And his princes shall be dismayed at an ensign, —Declareth Yahweh. Who hath a flame in Zion, And hath a furnace in Jerusalem.
