ଯିଶାଇୟ 28

1 ଇଫ୍ରୟିମର ମତ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ପରାସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଦର୍ପସୂଚକ ମୁକୁଟ, ଫଳଶାଳୀ ଉପତ୍ୟକାର ମସ୍ତକରେ ଥିବା ତାହାର ସୁନ୍ଦର ଭୂଷଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ମ୍ଳାନପ୍ରାୟ ପୁଷ୍ପ, ସନ୍ତାପର ପାତ୍ର!

Woe [to] the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim. And the fading flower of the beauty of his glory, That [is] on the head of the fat valley of the broken down of wine.

2 ଦେଖ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ବଳବାନ ଓ ସାହସିକ ଲୋକ ଅଛି; ସେ ଶିଳାଯୁକ୍ତ ଝଡ଼ର, ପ୍ରଳୟକାରୀ ବତାସର ନ୍ୟାୟ, ଶୀଘ୍ର ଧାବମାନ ପ୍ରବଳ ଜଳର ଝଡ଼ ତୁଲ୍ୟ, ହସ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭୂମିରେ ନିକ୍ଷେପ କରିବ।

Behold, a mighty and strong one [is] to the Lord, As a storm of hail—a destructive shower, As an inundation of mighty waters overflowing, He cast down to the earth with the hand.

3 ଇଫ୍ରୟିମର ମତ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଦର୍ପସୂଚକ ମୁକୁଟ ପଦ ତଳେ ଦଳିତ ହେବ;

The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim is trodden down by feet,

4 ଆଉ, ଫଳଶାଳୀ ଉପତ୍ୟକାର ମସ୍ତକରେ ସ୍ଥିତ ତାହାର ସୁନ୍ଦର ଭୂଷଣର ମ୍ଳାନପ୍ରାୟ ପୁଷ୍ପ, ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମକାଳ ପୂର୍ବରେ ଆଦ୍ୟପକ୍ୱ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ଫଳ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ; ଯାହା କେହି ଦେଖିବାମାତ୍ର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରେ ଓ ହସ୍ତରେ ଧରିବା ମାତ୍ର ଗ୍ରାସ କରେ।

And the fading flower of the beauty of his glory That [is] on the head of the fat valley, Has been as its first-fruit before summer, That its beholder sees; He swallows it while it [is] yet in his hand.

5 ସେହି ଦିନରେ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟାଂଶ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ମୁକୁଟ ଓ ଶୋଭାକର କିରୀଟ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବେ;

In that day YHWH of Hosts is For a crown of beauty, and for a circlet of glory, To the remnant of His people.

6 ପୁଣି, ବିଚାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକ ପ୍ରତି ବିଚାରଜନକ ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ ଫେରାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବେ।

And for a spirit of judgment To him who is sitting in the judgment, And for might [to] those turning back the battle to the gate.

7 ମାତ୍ର ଏମାନେ ହିଁ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସୁରାପାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିପଥରେ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ଯାଜକ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବକ୍ତା ସୁରାପାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଅଛି, ସୁରାପାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନେ ବିପଥରେ ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଦର୍ଶନରେ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ବିଚାରରେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ନ୍ତି।

And even these have erred through wine, And have wandered through strong drink, Priest and prophet erred through strong drink, They have been swallowed up of the wine, They wandered because of the strong drink, They have erred in seeing, They have stumbled judicially.

8 କାରଣ, ମେଜସବୁ ବାନ୍ତି ଓ ମଳରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ, କୌଣସି ପରିଷ୍କୃତ ସ୍ଥାନ ନାହିଁ।

For all tables have been full of vomit, Filth—without place!

9 “ସେ କାହାକୁ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦେବ? ସେ କାହାକୁ ସମାଚାର ବୁଝାଇ ଦେବ? କି ଦୁଗ୍ଧତ୍ୟାଗୀ ଓ ସ୍ତନ୍ୟପାନରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ଶିଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ?

By whom does He teach knowledge? And by whom does He cause to understand the report? The weaned from milk, the removed from breasts,

10 କାରଣ, ଏ ତ ବିଧି ଉପରେ ବିଧି, ବିଧି ଉପରେ ବିଧି; ଧାଡ଼ି ଉପରେ ଧାଡ଼ି, ଧାଡ଼ି ଉପରେ ଧାଡ଼ି; ଏଠି ଅଳ୍ପ, ସେଠି ଅଳ୍ପ।”

For rule on rule, rule on rule, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there,

11 ନା, ମାତ୍ର ସେ ବିଦେଶୀୟ ଓଷ୍ଠାଧର ଓ ପରଭାଷା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କଥା କହିବେ;

For by scorned lip, and by another tongue, Does He speak to this people.

12 ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏହି ବିଶ୍ରାମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି, ଏହି ତ ଆରାମ,” ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।

To whom He has said, “This [is] the rest, give rest to the weary, And this—the refreshing”: And they have not been willing to hear,

13 ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଯାଇ ପଶ୍ଚାତ୍‍ ପଡ଼ି ଭଗ୍ନ ହେବେ, ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପଡ଼ିବେ ଓ ଧୃତ ହେବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ବିଧି ଉପରେ ବିଧି, ବିଧି ଉପରେ ବିଧି; ଧାଡ଼ି ଉପରେ ଧାଡ଼ି, ଧାଡ଼ି ଉପରେ ଧାଡ଼ି; ଏଠି ଅଳ୍ପ, ସେଠି ଅଳ୍ପ ହେବ।

And to whom a word of YHWH has been, Rule on rule, rule on rule, Line on line, line on line, A little here, a little there, So that they go and have stumbled backward, And been broken, and snared, and captured.

14 ଏହେତୁ ହେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଶାସନକାରୀ ନିନ୍ଦକମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ;

Therefore, hear a word of YHWH, you men of scorning, Ruling this people that [is] in Jerusalem.

15 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିଅଛ, “ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ସଙ୍ଗେ ନିୟମ କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ପାତାଳ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ଧି ଅଛି; ଏହେତୁ ଜଳପ୍ରଳୟରୂପ କୋରଡ଼ା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିଥ୍ୟାକୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଆଶ୍ରୟ କରିଅଛୁ ଓ ଅସତ୍ୟର ତଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଲୁଚାଇଅଛୁ,” (Sheol h7585)

Because you have said: “We have made a covenant with death, And we have made a provision with Sheol, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Does not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And have been hidden in falsehood.” (Sheol h7585)

16 ଏଥିପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସିୟୋନରେ ଏକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର, ପରୀକ୍ଷାସିଦ୍ଧ ପ୍ରସ୍ତର, ଦୃଢ଼ ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ୟ କୋଣ-ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ସ୍ଥାପନ କରୁଅଛୁ; ଯେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରେ, ସେ ଚଞ୍ଚଳ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

Therefore, thus said Lord YHWH: “Behold, I am laying a foundation in Zion, A stone—a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a settled foundation, He who is believing does not make haste.

17 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ନ୍ୟାୟ ବିଚାରକୁ ପରିମାଣ ରଜ୍ଜୁ ଓ ଧାର୍ମିକତାକୁ ଓଳମ କରିବା; ଆଉ, ଶିଳାବୃଷ୍ଟି ମିଥ୍ୟାରୂପ ଆଶ୍ରୟକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବ ଓ ଜଳରାଶି ଲୁଚିବା ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ମଗ୍ନ କରିବ।”

And I have put judgment for a line, And righteousness for a plummet, And hail sweeps away the refuge of lies, And waters overflow the secret hiding place.

18 ପୁଣି, ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁ ସହିତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର କୃତ ନିୟମ ରହିତ କରାଯିବ ଓ ପାତାଳ ସଙ୍ଗେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ଧି ସ୍ଥିର ରହିବ ନାହିଁ; ଜଳପ୍ରଳୟରୂପ କୋରଡ଼ା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦଳିତ ହେବ। (Sheol h7585)

And your covenant with death has been annulled, And your provision with Sheol does not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passes over, Then you have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)

19 ତାହା ଯେତେ ଥର ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବ, ସେତେଥର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧରିବ; କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭାତକୁ ପ୍ରଭାତ, ଦିବସ ଓ ରାତ୍ରି ତାହା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବ; ଆଉ, ସେହି ସମାଚାର ବୁଝିବାର କେବଳ ତ୍ରାସଜନକ ହେବ।

From the fullness of its passing over it takes you, For it passes over morning by morning, By day and by night, And it has been only a trembling to consider the report.

20 କାରଣ, ଆପଣାକୁ ଲମ୍ବାଇବା ପାଇଁ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ଶଯ୍ୟା ସାନ ଓ ଆପଣାକୁ ଘୋଡ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଅଣଓସାର।

For the bed has been shorter Than to stretch one’s self out in, And the covering has been narrower Than to wrap one’s self up in.

21 ଯେହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯେପରି ପରାସୀମ ପର୍ବତରେ, ସେହିପରି ଉଠିବେ, ଯେପରି ଗିବୀୟୋନ୍‍ର ତଳଭୂମିରେ, ସେହିପରି ସେ କ୍ରୋଧ କରିବେ; ତହିଁରେ ସେ ଆପଣାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ, ଆପଣାର ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସିଦ୍ଧ କରିବେ ଓ ଆପଣାର ବ୍ୟାପାର ଓ ଆପଣାର ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ ବ୍ୟାପାର ସମ୍ପନ୍ନ କରିବେ।

For as YHWH rises [at] Mount Perazim, As He is troubled [at] the valley in Gibeon, To do His work—strange [is] His work, And to do His deed—strange [is] His deed.”

22 ଏହେତୁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିନ୍ଦକ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, ପଛେ ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବନ୍ଧନ ଦୃଢ଼ ହୁଏ; କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମୁଦାୟ ପୃଥିବୀ ଉପରେ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନତାର, ନିରୂପିତ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନତାର କଥା ଶୁଣିଅଛୁ।

And now, do not show yourselves scorners, Lest your bands are strong, For a consumption, that is determined, I have heard, by the Lord, YHWH of Hosts, [Is] for all the land.

23 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦେଇ ଆମ୍ଭର ରବ ଶୁଣ; ମନୋଯୋଗ କରି ଆମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରବଣ କର।

Give ear, and hear my voice, Attend, and hear my saying:

24 କୃଷକ ବୀଜ ବୁଣିବା ପାଇଁ କʼଣ ନିତ୍ୟ ହଳ ବୁଲାଏ? ସେ କʼଣ ନିତ୍ୟ ଶିଆର କରି ଆପଣାର ଭୂମିର ଟେଳା ଭାଙ୍ଗେ?

Does the plowman plow the whole day to sow? He opens and harrows his ground!

25 ସେ କʼଣ ଭୂମିର ଉପରଭାଗ ସମାନ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ କଳାଜୀରା ବିଞ୍ଚି ଦିଏ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଜୀରା ବୁଣେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଧାଡ଼ି ଧାଡ଼ି କରି ଗହମ, ନିରୂପିତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଯବ ଓ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ସୀମାରେ କʼଣ ଜହ୍ନା ବୁଣେ ନାହିଁ?

Has he not, if he has made its face level, Then scattered fitches, and sprinkles cumin, And has placed the principal wheat, And the appointed barley, And the rye [in] its own border?

26 କାରଣ, ତାହାର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାହାକୁ ଯଥାର୍ଥ ଉପଦେଶ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଶିଖାନ୍ତି।

And his God instructs him for judgment, He directs him.

27 ଯେହେତୁ କଳାଜୀରା କୌଣସି ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ ଅସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ମର୍ଦ୍ଦିତ ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଜୀରା ଉପରେ ଶକଟ ଚକ୍ର ବୁଲାଯାଏ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର କଳାଜୀରା ଯଷ୍ଟିରେ ଓ ଜୀରା ଦଣ୍ଡରେ ପିଟାଯାଏ।

For fitches are not threshed with a sharp-pointed thing, And the wheel of a cart turned around on cumin, For fitches are beaten out with a staff, And cumin with a rod.

28 ରୁଟିର ଶସ୍ୟ ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରାଯାଏ; କାରଣ ସେ ଚିରକାଳ ତାହା ମର୍ଦ୍ଦନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ଆଉ, ଯଦ୍ୟପି ତାହାର ଶକଟ ଚକ୍ର ଓ ତାହାର ଅଶ୍ୱଗଣ ତାହା ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ କରି ପକାନ୍ତି, ତଥାପି ସେ ତାହା ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରେ ନାହିଁ।

Bread-[grain] is beaten small, For he does not severely thresh it forever, Nor has a wheel of his cart crushed [it], Nor do his hooves beat it small.

29 ଏହା ହିଁ ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ହୁଏ, ସେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣାରେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଓ ଜ୍ଞାନରେ ମହାନ।

Even this from YHWH of Hosts has gone out, He has made counsel wonderful, He has made wisdom great!
