ଯିଶାଇୟ 21
1 ସାଗର ସମୀପସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର ବିଷୟକ ଭାବବାଣୀ। ତାହା ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗରେ ଅତି ବେଗରେ ଅଗ୍ରସର ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରୁ, ଏକ ଭୟଙ୍କର ଦେଶରୁ ଆସୁଅଛି।
The burden of the wilderness of the sea. As whirlwinds in the South sweeping on, it cometh from the wilderness, from a dreadful land.
2 ଏକ ଦୁଃଖଦାୟକ ଦର୍ଶନ ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକ ବିଶ୍ୱାସଘାତକତା କରୁଅଛି ଓ ଲୁଟିତକାରୀ ଲୁଟୁଅଛି। ହେ ଏଲମ୍, ଉପରକୁ ଯାଅ; ହେ ମାଦୀୟେ, ଅବରୋଧ କର; ମୁଁ ତହିଁର ହାହାକାର ଧ୍ୱନିସବୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ କରିଅଛି।
A grievous vision is declared unto me: 'The treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam! besiege, O Media! All the sighing thereof have I made to cease.'
3 ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ମୋହର କଟିଦେଶ ଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣାରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଅଛି; ପ୍ରସବକାରିଣୀର ବେଦନା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ବେଦନା ମୋତେ ଆକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଅଛି; ମୁଁ ଏପରି ବ୍ୟଥିତ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ଶୁଣି ପାରୁ ନାହିଁ; ମୁଁ ଏପରି ବିହ୍ୱଳ ଯେ, ମୁଁ ଦେଖି ପାରୁ ନାହିଁ।
Therefore are my loins filled with convulsion; pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman in travail; I am bent so that I cannot hear; I am affrighted so that I cannot see.
4 ମୋହର ହୃଦୟ ଧକାଉ ଅଛି, ମହାତ୍ରାସ ମୋତେ ଭୀତ କରାଉଅଛି; ଯେଉଁ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାକାଳ ମୁଁ ବାଞ୍ଛା କଲି, ତାହା ମୋʼ ପ୍ରତି ଥରହରର କାରଣ ହୋଇଅଛି।
My heart is bewildered, terror hath overwhelmed me; the twilight that I longed for hath been turned for me into trembling.
5 ସେମାନେ ମେଜ ସଜାନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ପାନ କରନ୍ତି; ହେ ଅଧିପତିମାନେ, ଉଠ, ଢାଲ ତୈଳାକ୍ତ କର।
They prepare the table, they light the lamps, they eat, they drink — 'Rise up, ye princes, anoint the shield.'
6 କାରଣ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏହି କଥା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, “ଯାଅ, ଏକ ଜଣ ପ୍ରହରୀ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କର; ସେ ଯାହା ଦେଖେ, ତାହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରୁ;
For thus hath the Lord said unto me: Go, set a watchman; let him declare what he seeth!
7 ପୁଣି, ସେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଏକ ଦଳ ସୈନ୍ୟ, ଦୁଇ ଦୁଇ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀ, ଏକ ଦଳ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭାରୋହୀ ଓ ଏକ ଦଳ ଉଷ୍ଟ୍ରାରୋହୀ ଦେଖିବ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ମନୋଯୋଗ-ପୂର୍ବକ ଅତି ଯତ୍ନରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କରିବ।”
And when he seeth a troop, horsemen by pairs, a troop of asses, a troop of camels, he shall hearken diligently with much heed.
8 ତହିଁରେ ସେ ସିଂହ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଉଚ୍ଚ ଶବ୍ଦ କରି କହିଲା, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ମୁଁ ଦିନ ବେଳେ ନିରନ୍ତର ପ୍ରହରୀ-ଦୁର୍ଗରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇଥାଏ ଓ କେତେକ ରାତ୍ରି ହେଲା ମୁଁ ଆପଣା ପହରା ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅବସ୍ଥାପିତ ହୋଇଅଛି,
And he cried as a lion: 'Upon the watch-tower, O Lord, I stand continually in the daytime, and I am set in my ward all the nights.'
9 ଆଉ, ଦେଖ, ଏଠି ଏକ ଦଳ ଲୋକ ଦୁଇ ଦୁଇ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀ ହୋଇ ଆସୁଅଛନ୍ତି।” ଆହୁରି, ସେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, “ବାବିଲ ପଡ଼ିଲା; ପଡ଼ିଲା ଓ ତାହାର ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମାସବୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଭୂମିସାତ୍ ହେଲା।”
And, behold, there came a troop of men, horsemen by pairs. And he spoke and said: 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the graven images of her gods are broken unto the ground.'
10 ହେ ମୋହର ମର୍ଦ୍ଦିତ ଓ ମୋʼ ଖମାରର ଶସ୍ୟ, ମୁଁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇଲି।
O thou my threshing, and the winnowing of my floor, that which I have heard from the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 ଦୂମା ବିଷୟକ ଭାବବାଣୀ। ଜଣେ ସେୟୀରଠାରୁ ମୋତେ ଡାକି କହୁଅଛି, “ପ୍ରହରୀ, କେତେ ରାତ୍ର ହେଲା? ପ୍ରହରୀ, କେତେ ରାତ୍ର ହେଲା?”
The burden of Dumah. One calleth unto me out of Seir: 'Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?'
12 ପ୍ରହରୀ କହିଲା, “ପ୍ରଭାତ ଆସୁଅଛି ଓ ରାତ୍ରି ହିଁ ଆସୁଅଛି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ପଚାରିବ, ପଚାର; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଫେର, ଆସ।”
The watchman said: 'The morning cometh, and also the night — if ye will inquire, inquire ye; return, come.'
13 ଆରବ ବିଷୟକ ଭାବବାଣୀ। ହେ ଦଦାନୀୟ ପଥିକ ଦଳ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆରବର ବନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରାତ୍ରି ଯାପନ କରିବ।
The burden upon Arabia. In the thickets in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye caravans of Dedanites.
14 ଯେଉଁ ଜନ ତୃଷିତ ଥିଲା, ସେମାନେ ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଜଳ ଆଣିଲେ; ତେମା ଦେଶବାସୀମାନେ ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ନେଇ ପଳାତକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କଲେ।
Unto him that is thirsty bring ye water! The inhabitants of the land of Tema did meet the fugitive with his bread.
15 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଖଡ୍ଗରୁ, ନିଷ୍କୋଷ ଖଡ୍ଗରୁ, ଗୁଣଦିଆ ଧନୁରୁ ଓ କ୍ଲେଶଜନକ ଯୁଦ୍ଧରୁ ପଳାଇଲେ।
For they fled away from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 ଯେହେତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି, “ବେତନଜୀବୀର ବର୍ଷ ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଏକ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କେଦାରର ସକଳ ପ୍ରତାପ ଲୁପ୍ତ ହେବ;
For thus hath the Lord said unto me: 'Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail;
17 ଆଉ, କେଦାର ବଂଶୀୟ ବୀରଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଳ୍ପସଂଖ୍ୟକ ଧନୁର୍ଦ୍ଧାରୀ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରହିବେ କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହା କହିଅଛନ୍ତି।”
and the residue of the number of the archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished; for the LORD, the God of Israel, hath spoken it.'
