ଯିଶାଇୟ 1

1 ଆମୋସର ପୁତ୍ର ଯିଶାଇୟଙ୍କର ଦର୍ଶନ, ସେ ଯିହୁଦା-ରାଜାଗଣ ଉଷୀୟ, ଯୋଥମ୍‍, ଆହସ୍‌ ଓ ହିଜକୀୟର ରାଜତ୍ୱ ସମୟରେ ଯିହୁଦା ଓ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଲେ।

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of 'Uzziyahu, Jotham, Achaz, and Hezekiah, the kings of Judah.

2 ହେ ଆକାଶମଣ୍ଡଳ, ଶୁଣ, ହେ ପୃଥିବୀ, କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର, କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି; “ଆମ୍ଭେ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ପ୍ରତିପାଳନ ଓ ଭରଣପୋଷଣ କରିଅଛୁ, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

Hear, O ye heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord hath spoken: Children have I nourished and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.

3 ଗୋରୁ ଆପଣା ଖାଉନ୍ଦକୁ ଓ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭ ଆପଣା କର୍ତ୍ତାର କୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ଚିହ୍ନେ; ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ବିବେଚନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।”

The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

4 ଆହା ପାପିଷ୍ଠ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ, ଅଧର୍ମରେ ଭାରଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ଲୋକେ, ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ବଂଶ, ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟାଚାରୀ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ! ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପଙ୍କୁ ଅବଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବିମୁଖ ହୋଇ ପଛକୁ ଚାଲି ଯାଇଅଛନ୍ତି।

Woe! sinful nation, people laden with iniquity, seed of evil-doers, children that are corrupt: they have forsaken the Lord, they have incensed the Holy One of Israel, they are departed backward.

5 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅଧିକ ଅଧିକ ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚରଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କାହିଁକି ଆହୁରି ପ୍ରହାରିତ ହେବ? ମସ୍ତକଯାକ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ଓ ସମୁଦାୟ ହୃଦୟ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ହୋଇଅଛି।

Why will ye be stricken yet more? [that] ye increase the revolt? every head is sick, and every heart is faint.

6 ପାଦର ତଳଠାରୁ ମସ୍ତକ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କିଛି ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ; କେବଳ କ୍ଷତ, ଦାଗ ଓ ପୂଜପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଘା; ସେହି ସବୁ ଟିପା କିମ୍ବା ବନ୍ଧାଯାଇ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ତୈଳ ଦ୍ୱାରା କୋମଳ କରାଯାଇ ନାହିଁ।

From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, nor bound up, nor mollified with oil.

7 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶ ଧ୍ୱଂସସ୍ଥାନ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ନଗରସବୁ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ଦଗ୍ଧ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭୂମି ବିଦେଶୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଗ୍ରାସ କରନ୍ତି, ତାହା ବିଦେଶୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବା ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଧ୍ୱଂସସ୍ଥାନ ହୋଇଅଛି।

Your country is desolate, your cities are burnt with fire; your soil—in your presence, strangers devour it, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

8 ପୁଣି, ସିୟୋନର କନ୍ୟା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର କୁଟୀର, କାକୁଡ଼ିକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ବସା, ଅବରୁଦ୍ଧ ନଗର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛି।

And left is the daughter of Zion as a hut in a vineyard, as a lodge in a cucumber field, as a besieged city.

9 ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଅତି ଅଳ୍ପ ଲୋକ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ରଖି ନ ଥିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦୋମର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥାʼନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ହମୋରାର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହୋଇଥାʼନ୍ତୁ।

Unless the Lord of hosts had left unto us a remnant ever so small, like Sodom should we have been, unto Gomorrah should we have been compared.

10 ହେ ସଦୋମର ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ, ହେ ହମୋରାର ଲୋକମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥାରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣପାତ କର।

Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom: give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

11 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ଆମ୍ଭ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଅପାର ବଳିଦାନର ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟ କଅଣ? ଆମ୍ଭେ ମେଷଗଣର ହୋମବଳିରେ ଓ ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁଗଣର ମେଦରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇଅଛୁ; ପୁଣି, ବୃଷ କିମ୍ବା ମେଷ କିମ୍ବା ଛାଗଳମାନଙ୍କ ରକ୍ତରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ତୁଷ୍ଟି ନାହିଁ।

For what serveth me the multitude of your sacrifices? saith the Lord: I am sated with the burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fatted beasts; and the blood of bullocks, and of sheep, and of he-goats, I do not desire.

12 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେବା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାଙ୍ଗଣସକଳ ପଦ ତଳେ ଦଳିବା ପାଇଁ କିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଚାହିଁଅଛି?

When ye come to appear in my presence—who hath required this at your hand, to tread down my courts?

13 ଅସାର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଆଉ ଆଣ ନାହିଁ; ଧୂପଦାହ ଆମ୍ଭର ଘୃଣିତ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅମାବାସ୍ୟା ଓ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାର, ସଭାର ଘୋଷଣା ଏହି ଅଧର୍ମ ଓ ମହାସଭା ଆମ୍ଭେ ସହି ପାରୁ ନାହୁଁ।

Continue no more to bring an oblation of deceit; incense of abomination is it unto me: new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies—I cannot bear misdeed with festive gathering.

14 ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଅମାବାସ୍ୟା ଓ ନିରୂପିତ ପର୍ବସବୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ; ସେହି ସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି କ୍ଲେଶକର; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ସବୁ ବହିବାକୁ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛୁ।

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are become a burden unto me; I am weary to bear them,

15 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତ ପ୍ରସାର କଲା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆପଣା ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିବା; ଆହୁରି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନେକ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣିବା ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତ ରକ୍ତରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ।

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will withdraw my eyes from you; yea, when ye make ever so many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

16 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧୌତ କର, ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଚି କର; ଆମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର କ୍ରିୟାର ମନ୍ଦତା ଦୂର କର; କୁକ୍ରିୟା କରିବାରୁ ନିବୃତ୍ତ ହୁଅ;

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil;

17 ସୁକ୍ରିୟା କରିବାକୁ ଶିଖ; ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ଚେଷ୍ଟା କର, ଉପଦ୍ରବଗ୍ରସ୍ତମାନଙ୍କର ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କର, ପିତୃହୀନମାନଙ୍କର ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର କର, ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ କର।”

Learn to do well; seek for justice, relieve the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.

18 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, “ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଉତ୍ତର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟୁତ୍ତର କରୁ; ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପସବୁ ସିନ୍ଦୂର ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରି ହେଲେ ହେଁ ହିମ ପରି ଶୁକ୍ଳବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେବ; ସେହି ସବୁ ଲୋହିତବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରି ରଙ୍ଗ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମେଷଲୋମ ପରି ହେବ।

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins should be as scarlet, they shall become white as the snow; though they should be red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

19 ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମ୍ମତ ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହେବ, ତେବେ ଦେଶର ଉତ୍ତମ ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରିବ।

If ye be willing and obey, the best of the land shall ye eat;

20 ମାତ୍ର ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅସମ୍ମତ ଓ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧାଚାରୀ ହେବ, ତେବେ ଖଡ୍ଗଭୁକ୍ତ ହେବ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମୁଖ ଏହା କହିଅଛି।”

But if ye refuse and rebel, by the sword shall ye be devoured; for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

21 ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ନଗରୀ କିପରି ବେଶ୍ୟା ହୋଇଅଛି! ସେ ନ୍ୟାୟ-ବିଚାରରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣା ଥିଲା। ଧର୍ମ ତାହା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କଲା, ମାତ୍ର ଏବେ ହତ୍ୟାକାରୀମାନେ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

How is she become a harlot, the faithful town! she, that was full of justice; righteousness lodged therein; but now murderers.

22 ତୁମ୍ଭର ରୂପା ଖାଦ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଜଳମିଶ୍ରିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।

Thy silver is become dross, thy wine is drugged with water;

23 ତୁମ୍ଭର ଅଧିପତିମାନେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ଓ ଚୋରମାନଙ୍କର ସଖା; ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଲାଞ୍ଚ ଭଲ ପାʼନ୍ତି ଓ ପାରିତୋଷିକର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍‍ବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହୁଅନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ପିତୃହୀନମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ବିଧବାର ଗୁହାରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସେ ନାହିଁ।

Thy princes are rebels, and companions of thieves; every one loveth brides, and runneth after rewards; to the fatherless they will not do justice, and the cause of the widow doth not come unto them.

24 ଏହେତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସୈନ୍ୟାଧିପତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ବଳଦାତା କହନ୍ତି, “ଶୁଣ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ବିପକ୍ଷଗଣ ବିଷୟରେ ଆରାମ ପାଇବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଶତ୍ରୁଗଣଠାରୁ ପରିଶୋଧ ନେବା;

Therefore saith the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will take satisfaction on my adversaries, and be avenged on my enemies.

25 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭଆଡ଼େ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଫେରାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଖାଦ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସୀସାସବୁ କାଢ଼ି ନେବା;

And I will turn my hand against thee, and purge away as with lye thy dross, and remove all thy tin:

26 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୂର୍ବ କାଳ ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାରକର୍ତ୍ତୃଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଆଦ୍ୟ ସମୟ ପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଗଣଙ୍କୁ ପୁନଃସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା; ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଧର୍ମପୁରୀ, ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ନଗରୀ ବୋଲି ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ହେବ।”

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning; after that shalt thou be called, The city of righteousness, the town that is faithful.

27 ସିୟୋନ ନ୍ୟାୟବିଚାର ଦ୍ୱାରା ଓ ତାହାର ଫେରି ଆସିବା ଲୋକମାନେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୁକ୍ତି ପାଇବେ।

Zion shall be redeemed through justice, and her converts through righteousness.

28 ମାତ୍ର ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀ ଓ ପାପୀମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ ଓ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ସଂହାରିତ ହେବେ।

But destruction shall come over transgressors and sinners together, and those that forsake the Lord shall perish.

29 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ବାଞ୍ଛିତ ଅଲୋନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ବିଷୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ମନୋନୀତ ଉଦ୍ୟାନସକଳର ବିଷୟରେ ହତାଶ ହେବ।

For people shall be ashamed because of the terebinths which ye had desired, and ye shall be put to the blush because of the gardens that ye had chosen.

30 ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଷ୍କପତ୍ର ଅଲୋନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଓ ନିର୍ଜଳ ଉଦ୍ୟାନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବ।

For ye shall be as a terebinth the leaves of which wither, and as a garden that hath no water.

31 ପୁଣି, ବଳବାନ ଲୋକ ଛଣପଟ ପରି ଓ ତାହାର କର୍ମ ଅଗ୍ନିକଣା ପରି ହେବ; ସେ ଦୁଇ ଏକତ୍ର ଜ୍ୱଳିବ ଓ କେହି ତାହା ଲିଭାଇବ ନାହିଁ।

And the mighty oppressor shall become as tow, and his workman as a spark; and they shall both burn together, with none to quench.
