ହୋଶେୟ 4
1 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ; କାରଣ ଦେଶରେ ସତ୍ୟ ଅବା ଦୟା କିଅବା ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ବିଷୟକ ଜ୍ଞାନ ନ ଥିବାରୁ ଦେଶନିବାସୀଗଣ ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବିବାଦ ଅଛି।
Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel, for the Lord shall enter into judgment with the inhabitants of the land: for there is no truth, and there is no mercy, and there is no knowledge of God in the land.
2 ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେବା, ବିଶ୍ୱାସଲଙ୍ଘନ, ବଧ, ଚୋରି ଓ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର ବିନା ସେଠାରେ ଆଉ କିଛି ନାହିଁ; ଲୋକମାନେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ ହୋଇ ଉଠନ୍ତି ଓ ରକ୍ତପାତ ଉପରେ ରକ୍ତପାତ କରାଯାଏ।
Cursing, and lying, and killing, and theft, and adultery have overflowed, and blood hath touched blood.
3 ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଦେଶ ବିଳାପ କରିବ ଓ ତହିଁର ନିବାସୀ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ, କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ଥ ବନ୍ୟ ପଶୁ ଓ ଆକାଶସ୍ଥ ପକ୍ଷୀଗଣ ସହିତ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ହେବେ; ହଁ, ସମୁଦ୍ରର ମତ୍ସ୍ୟଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହେବେ।
Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth in it shall languish with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of the air: yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be gathered together.
4 ତଥାପି କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ବିବାଦ ନ କରୁ, କିଅବା କୌଣସି ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଅନୁଯୋଗ ନ କରୁ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଯାଜକ ସହିତ ବିବାଦକାରୀ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
But yet let not any man judge: and let not a man be rebuked: for thy people are as they that contradict the priest.
5 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦିନ ବେଳେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିବ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ମଧ୍ୟ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଝୁଣ୍ଟି ପଡ଼ିବ; ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମାତାକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା।
And thou shalt fall today, and the prophet also shall fall with thee: in the night I have made thy mother to be silent.
6 ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନର ଅଭାବ ସକାଶୁ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିଅଛ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିବା, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଯାଜକ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ପାସୋରିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ପାସୋରି ଯିବା।
My people have been silent, because they had no knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee, that thou shalt not do the office of priesthood to me: and thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I also will forget thy children.
7 ସେମାନେ ଯେତେ ଅଧିକ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲେ ସେତେ ଅଧିକ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପାପ କଲେ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଗୌରବ ଅପମାନରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା।
According to the multitude of them so have they sinned against me: I will change their glory into shame.
8 ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପାପରେ ପ୍ରତିପୋଷିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧର୍ମରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣକୁ ଆସକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତି।
They shall eat the sins of my people, and shall lift up their souls to their iniquity.
9 ଏଣୁ ଯେପରି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ସେହିପରି ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ; ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଚରଣ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଦେବା ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ମାନୁସାରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ ଦେବା।
And there shall be like people like priest: and I will visit their ways upon them, and I will repay them their devices.
10 ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ; ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବହୁବଂଶ ହେବେ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
And they shall eat and shall not be filled: they have committed fornication, and have not ceased: because they have forsaken the Lord in not observing his law.
11 ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର, ମଦ୍ୟ ଓ ନୂତନ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ବୁଦ୍ଧି ହରଣ କରେ।
Fornication, and wine, and drunkenness take away the understanding.
12 ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଆପଣା କାଷ୍ଠଖଣ୍ଡର ନିକଟରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଚାହାନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯଷ୍ଟି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି (କଥା) ପ୍ରକାଶ କରେ; କାରଣ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରର ଆତ୍ମା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଅଛି, ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଅଧୀନତାରୁ ଯାଇ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
My people have consulted their stocks, and their staff hath declared unto them: for the spirit of fornication hath deceived them, and they have committed fornication against their God.
13 ସେମାନେ ପର୍ବତମାନର ଶୃଙ୍ଗରେ ବଳିଦାନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଉପପର୍ବତଗଣର ଉପରେ ଅଲୋନ, ଲିବ୍ନି ଓ ଏଲା ବୃକ୍ଷ ତଳେ ଧୂପ ଜଳାନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ତହିଁର ଛାୟା ଉତ୍ତମ; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭର କନ୍ୟାଗଣ ବେଶ୍ୟାଚାର କରନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଧୂଗଣ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କରନ୍ତି।
They offered sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burnt incense upon the hills: under the oak, and the poplar, and the turpentine tree, because the shadow thereof was good: therefore shall your daughters commit fornication, and your spouses shall be adulteresses.
14 ତୁମ୍ଭର କନ୍ୟାଗଣ ବେଶ୍ୟାଚାର କଲା ବେଳେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଧୂଗଣ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର କଲା ବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଦେବା ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆପେ ବେଶ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଦେବଗଣର ମନ୍ଦିରକୁ ଯାଆନ୍ତି ଓ ମାହାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ବଳିଦାନ କରନ୍ତି; ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ବୁଝନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ସେମାନେ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହେବେ।
I will not visit upon your daughters when they shell commit fornication, and upon your spouses when they shall commit adultery: because themselves conversed with harlots, and offered sacrifice with the effeminate, and the people that doth not understand shall be beaten.
15 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦ୍ୟପି ବେଶ୍ୟାବୃତ୍ତି କର, ତଥାପି ଯିହୁଦା ସେପରି ଦୋଷଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ନ ହେଉ; ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ବେଥ୍-ଆବନକୁ ଯାଅ ନାହିଁ; ଅଥବା ସେଠାରେ ଜୀବିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବୋଲି ଶପଥ କର ନାହିଁ।
If thou play the harlot, O Israel, at least let not Juda offend: and go ye not into Galgal, and come not up into Bethaven, and do not swear: The Lord liveth.
16 କାରଣ ସ୍ଵେଚ୍ଛାଚାରିଣୀ ଗାଭୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଆପେ ସ୍ଵେଚ୍ଛାଚାରୀ ହୋଇଅଛି; ଏବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମେଷଶାବକ ପରି ପ୍ରଶସ୍ତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଚରାଇବେ।
For Israel hath gone astray like a wanton heifer: now will the Lord feed them, as a lamb in a spacious place.
17 ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ଆସକ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ତାକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଦିଅ।
Ephraim is a partaker with idols, let him alone.
18 ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପେୟଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଅମ୍ଳ ହୋଇଅଛି; ସେମାନେ ଅବିରତ ବେଶ୍ୟାଗମନ କରନ୍ତି; ତାହାର ଶାସନକର୍ତ୍ତାମାନେ ଅପମାନକୁ ଅତିଶୟ ଭଲ ପାଆନ୍ତି।
Their banquet is separated, they have gone astray by fornication: they that should have protected them have loved to bring shame upon them.
19 ବାୟୁ ତାହାକୁ ଆପଣା ପକ୍ଷରେ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କରିଅଛି ଓ ସେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ବଳିଦାନ ସକାଶୁ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବେ।
The wind hath bound them up in its wings, and they shall be confounded because of their sacrifices.
