ହୋଶେୟ 11
1 ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ବାଲ୍ୟକାଳରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ସ୍ନେହ କଲୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ରକୁ ମିସରରୁ ଡାକିଲୁ।
When Israel was, a child, then I loved him, —and, out of Egypt, called I my son.
2 ମାତ୍ର ଯେତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ, ସେତେ ସେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରକୁ ଗଲେ; ସେମାନେ ବାଲ୍ଦେବଗଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ ଓ ଖୋଦିତ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଧୂପ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଲେ।
They invited them, —at once, they departed from before me, they, to the Baals, sacrificed, and, to the images, offered incense.
3 ତଥାପି ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମକୁ ଚାଲିବା ପାଇଁ ଶିଖାଇଲୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ବାହୁରେ ବୋହିଲୁ; ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କଲୁ, ଏହା ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
Yet, I, had taught Ephraim to walk, I used to take them upon mine arms, —But they acknowledged not that I had healed them.
4 ଆମ୍ଭେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ବନ୍ଧନୀ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ପ୍ରେମରଜ୍ଜୁ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକର୍ଷଣ କଲୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଳପାଟିରୁ ଯୁଆଳି ଉଠାଇ ନେବା ଲୋକ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେଲୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗରେ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ରଖିଲୁ।
With human cords, used I to draw them, with the bands of love, so became I unto them like those who remove the yoke [that was] on their jaws, —and, holding out [food] to him, I let him eat.
5 ସେ ମିସର ଦେଶକୁ ଫେରିଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର ଅଶୂରୀୟ ତାହାର ରାଜା ହେବ, କାରଣ ସେ ଫେରି ଆସିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ ହେଲା।
He was not to turn back into the land of Egypt, Howbeit, the Assyrian—he, became his king, for they refused to turn.
6 ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ନିଜ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ସକାଶୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନଗରସକଳର ଉପରେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ପଡ଼ିବ, ତାହାର ଅର୍ଗଳ ସକଳକୁ ସଂହାର କରିବ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ।
Therefore shall the sword, rage, in his cities, and make an end of his multitudes, and consume them, —because of their counsels.
7 ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଆମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେବାର ପ୍ରବୃତ୍ତି ଅଛି; ଲୋକମାନେ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱସ୍ଥଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ କେହି ତାହାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରେ ନାହିଁ।
But, my people, are bent towards turning from me, though upwards they call them, none of them can lift them.
8 ହେ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବା? ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସମର୍ପି ଦେବା? ଆମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅଦ୍ମାର ନଗରୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ କରିବା? ଆମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସବୋୟୀମର ନଗରୀ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ରଖିବା? ଆମ୍ଭ ହୃଦୟ ଆମ୍ଭ ଅନ୍ତରରେ ବ୍ୟାକୁଳ ହେଉଅଛି, ଆମ୍ଭର ବିବିଧ ସ୍ନେହ ଏକତ୍ର ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେଉଅଛି।
How can I give thee up, Ephraim? abandon thee Israel? How can I make thee as Admah? set thee as Zeboim? Mine own heart, turneth against me, at once, are kindled my compassions.
9 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧର ପ୍ରଚଣ୍ଡତା ସଫଳ କରିବା ନାହିଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଇଫ୍ରୟିମକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଫେରିବା ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ; ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ନୋହୁଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଧ୍ୟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପ ଅଟୁ; ଆମ୍ଭେ ନଗର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ନାହିଁ।
I cannot execute the glow of mine anger, I cannot turn to destroy Ephraim, —for, GOD, am, I, and not man, When thou drawest near, [I am] a Holy One, though I do not enter a city.
10 ଆମ୍ଭେ ସିଂହ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କଲେ, ସେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନ କରିବେ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଗର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କଲେ ପଶ୍ଚିମ ଦିଗରୁ ସନ୍ତାନମାନେ ଥରଥର ହୋଇ ଆସିବେ।
After Yahweh, let them go, Like a lion, will he roar, —When, he, shall roar, then let sons, come trembling, out of the West.
11 ସେମାନେ ପକ୍ଷୀ ପରି ମିସରରୁ ଓ କପୋତ ପରି ଅଶୂର ଦେଶରୁ ଥରଥର ହୋଇ ଆସିବେ; ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଗୃହରେ ବାସ କରାଇବା, ଏହା ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
Let them come trembling like a small bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria, —so will I cause them to dwell by their own houses, Declareth Yahweh.
12 ଇଫ୍ରୟିମ ମିଥ୍ୟା କଥାରେ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ପ୍ରବଞ୍ଚନାରେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଘେରୁଅଛନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର ଯିହୁଦା ଏବେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସହିତ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରୁଅଛି ଓ ଧର୍ମସ୍ୱରୂପଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛି।
They have compassed me about—with denial, Ephraim, with deceit, the house of Israel, —but, Judah, hath, again and again, run riot with GOD, though, with the holy places, entrusted.
