ଏବ୍ରୀ 11
1 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଶିତ ବିଷୟର ମୂଳଭୂମି ଓ ଅଦୃଶ୍ୟ ବିଷୟର ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଜ୍ଞାନ।
But feith is the substaunce of thingis that ben to be hopid, and an argument of thingis not apperynge.
2 ତଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରାଚୀନମାନେ ତ ସୁଖ୍ୟାତି ଲାଭ କଲେ।
And in this feith elde men han gete witnessyng.
3 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବୁଝୁ ଯେ, ସମସ୍ତ ବିଶ୍ୱ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ରଚିତ, ଅତଏବ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ବିଷୟରୁ ଦୃଶ୍ୟ ବିଷୟ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ। (aiōn g165)
Bi feith we vndurstonden that the worldis weren maad bi Goddis word, that visible thingis weren maad of vnuysible thingis. (aiōn g165)
4 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ହେବଲ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ କୟିନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟ ବଳି ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ ଓ ତଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ବୋଲି ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ପାଇଲେ; ଈଶ୍ବର ନିଜେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦାନ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଲେ, ଆଉ ସେ ମୃତ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କଥା କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
Bi feith Abel offride a myche more sacrifice than Caym to God, bi which he gat witnessyng to be iust, for God bar witnessyng to hise yiftis; and bi that feith he deed spekith yit.
5 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ହନୋକ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଭୋଗ ନ କରି ଉର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ବକୁ ଉତ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ; ସେ ଆଉ ଦେଖାଗଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ତର୍ହିତ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତୋଷପାତ୍ର, ଅନ୍ତର୍ହିତ ହେବା ପୂର୍ବେ ସେଥିର ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ;
Bi feith Ennok was translatid, that he schulde not se deth; and he was not foundun, for the Lord translatide him. For bifore translacioun he hadde witnessing that he pleside God.
6 ଆଉ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ବିନା ତାହାଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତୋଷପାତ୍ର ହେବା ଅସମ୍ଭବ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ସେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣକାରୀମାନଙ୍କର ପୁରସ୍କାରଦାତା, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆସିବା ଲୋକର ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିବା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ।
And it is impossible to plese God without feith. For it bihoueth that a man comynge to God, bileue that he is, and that he is rewardere to men that seken hym.
7 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନୋହ ସେ ସମୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅପ୍ରକାଶିତ ବିଷୟ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଦେଶ ପାଇ ଭକ୍ତି ସହକାରେ ଆପଣା ପରିବାରର ରକ୍ଷା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଜାହାଜ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେହି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ଜଗତକୁ ଦୋଷୀ କରି ବିଶ୍ୱାସାନୁଯାୟୀ ଧାର୍ମିକତାର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହେଲେ।
Bi feith Noe dredde, thorouy answere takun of these thingis that yit weren not seyn, and schapide a schip in to the helthe of his hous; bi which he dampnede the world, and is ordeyned eir of riytwisnesse, which is bi feith.
8 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଆହ୍ୱାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ସେ ଅଧିକାରସ୍ୱରୂପେ ପାଇବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ, ଆଜ୍ଞାବହ ହୋଇ ସେଠାକୁ ବାହାରିଗଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ କେଉଁଠାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛନ୍ତି, ତାହା ନ ଜାଣି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ବାହାରିଗଲେ।
By feith he that is clepid Abraham, obeiede to go out in to a place, whiche he schulde take in to eritage; and he wente out, not witinge whidur he schulde go.
9 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ବିଦେଶୀ ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାତ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସୀ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାର ସହାଧିକାରୀ ଇସ୍ହାକ ଓ ଯାକୁବଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତମ୍ବୁରେ ବାସ କଲେ;
Bi feith he dwelte in the loond of biheest, as in an alien loond, dwellynge in litle housis with Ysaac and Jacob, euene heiris of the same biheest.
10 କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ନଗର ଭିତ୍ତିମୂଳବିଶିଷ୍ଟ, ପୁଣି, ଯାହାର ଶିଳ୍ପୀ ଓ ନିର୍ମାତା ସ୍ୱୟଂ ଈଶ୍ବର, ଅବ୍ରହାମ ତହିଁର ଅପେକ୍ଷାରେ ଥିଲେ।
For he abood a citee hauynge foundementis, whos crafti man and maker is God.
11 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସାରା ନିଜେ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାକାରୀଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱସ୍ତ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରି ଗତବୟସ୍କା ହେଲେ ହେଁ ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଶକ୍ତି ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ;
Bi feith also the ilke Sara bareyn, took vertu in consceyuyng of seed, yhe, ayen the tyme of age; for sche bileuede hym trewe, that hadde bihiyte.
12 ଏହେତୁରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୃତକଳ୍ପ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆକାଶର ନକ୍ଷତ୍ରଗଣ ପରି ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ରତୀରସ୍ଥ ବାଲୁକା ପରି ଅଗଣ୍ୟ ଏକ ଜାତି ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହେଲା।
For which thing of oon, and yit nyy deed, ther ben borun as sterris of heuene in multitude, and as grauel that is at the see side out of noumbre.
13 ଏସମସ୍ତେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ; ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାତ ଫଳପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଦୂରରୁ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଅଭିନନ୍ଦନ କଲେ ଏବଂ ପୃଥିବୀରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିଦେଶୀ ଓ ପ୍ରବାସୀ ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କଲେ।
Bi feith alle these ben deed, whanne the biheestis weren not takun, but thei bihelden hem afer, and gretynge hem wel, and knoulechide that thei weren pilgryms, and herboryd men on the erthe.
14 କାରଣ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଏହିପରି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଯେ ନିଜର ଗୋଟିଏ ଦେଶ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରନ୍ତି।
And thei that sayn these thingis, signifien that thei sechen a cuntre.
15 ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରୁ ସେମାନେ ବାହାରି ଆସିଥିଲେ, ଯଦି ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିଥାଆନ୍ତେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବାହୁଡ଼ି ଯିବାକୁ ସୁଯୋଗ ଥିଲା।
`If thei hadden hadde mynde of the ilke, of which thei wenten out, thei hadden tyme of turnyng ayen;
16 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟତର, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗୀୟ ଦେଶର ଆକାଂକ୍ଷା କରୁଥିଲେ; ଏହେତୁ ଈଶ୍ବର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଈଶ୍ବର ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ ହେବାକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ନୁହଁନ୍ତି, କାରଣ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ନଗର ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
but now thei desiren a betere, that is to seie, heuenli. Therfor God is not confoundid to be clepid the God of hem; for he made redi to hem a citee.
17 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଅବ୍ରହାମ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହୋଇ ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ହଁ, ଯେଉଁ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାସମୂହ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ କୁହାଯାଇଥିଲା ଯେ,
Bi feith Abraham offride Ysaac, whanne he was temptid; and he offride the oon bigetun, whych had takun the biheestis;
18 ଇସ୍ହାକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଂଶ ଖ୍ୟାତ ହେବ, ସେହି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଆପଣାର ଅଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲେ,
to whom it was seid, For in Ysaac the seed schal be clepid to thee.
19 କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ଯେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଉତ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ ସମର୍ଥ, ଆକ୍ଷରିକ ଭାବେ, ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତଭାବେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁରୁ ଫେରି ପାଇଲେ।
For he demyde, that God is myyti to reise hym, yhe, fro deth; wherfor he took hym also in to a parable.
20 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଇସ୍ହାକ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବିଷୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯାକୁବ ଓ ଏଷୌଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ।
Bi feith also of thingis to comynge, Ysaac blesside Jacob and Esau.
21 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯାକୁବ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ସମୟରେ ଯୋଷେଫଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ଯଷ୍ଟିର ଅଗ୍ରଭାଗରେ ଆଉଜିପଡ଼ି ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ।
Bi feith Jacob diynge blesside alle the sones of Joseph, and onouride the hiynesse of his yerde.
22 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯୋଷେଫ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ସମୟରେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ ବିଷୟ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ଅସ୍ଥି ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଲେ।
Bi feith Joseph dyynge hadde mynde of the passyng forth of the children of Israel, and comaundide of hise boonys.
23 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ପିତାମାତା ତାହାଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମ ହେବା ସମୟରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ସୁନ୍ଦର ପିଲା ବୋଲି ଦେଖି ରାଜାଜ୍ଞାକୁ ଭୟ ନ କରି ତିନି ମାସ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଗୋପନରେ ରଖିଲେ।
Bi feith Moyses borun, was hid thre monethis of his fadir and modir, for that thei seiyen the yonge child fair; and thei dredden not the maundement of the king.
24 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମୋଶା ବୟସପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଫାରୋଙ୍କର କନ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ବୋଲି ଖ୍ୟାତ ହେବାକୁ ନାସ୍ତି କଲେ;
Bi feith Moises was maad greet, and denyede that he was the sone of Faraos douytir,
25 ପାପର କ୍ଷଣିକ ସୁଖଭୋଗ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବରଂ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ସେ ପସନ୍ଦ କଲେ,
and chees more to be turmentid with the puple of God, than to haue myrthe of temporal synne;
26 ପୁଣି, ମିସରର ସମସ୍ତ ଧନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନିନ୍ଦାର ସହଭାଗୀ ହେବା ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠତର ଧନ ବୋଲି ମନେ କଲେ, କାରଣ ସେ ଭାବି ପୁରସ୍କାର ଦାନ ପ୍ରତି ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ କଲେ।
demynge the repreef of Crist more richessis than the tresours of Egipcians; for he bihelde in to the rewarding.
27 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧକୁ ଭୟ ନ କରି ମିସର ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ, ଯେଣୁ ଯେ ଅଦୃଶ୍ୟ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ କଲା ପରି ସୁସ୍ଥିର ରହିଲେ।
Bi feith he forsook Egipt, and dredde not the hardynesse of the king; for he abood, as seinge hym that was vnuysible.
28 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ନିସ୍ତାର ପର୍ବ ଓ ରକ୍ତ ସେଚନ ବିଧି ପାଳନ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଥମଜାତମାନଙ୍କର ସଂହାରକ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ ନ କରନ୍ତି।
Bi feith he halewide pask, and the scheding out of blood, that he that distriede the firste thingis of Egipcians, schulde not touche hem.
29 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନେ ଶୁଷ୍କ ଭୂମି ପାର ହେଲା ପରି ସୂଫ ସାଗରର ଭିତର ଦେଇ ପାର ହେଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମିସରୀୟମାନେ ପାର ହେବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇ ବୁଡ଼ି ମଲେ।
Bi feith thei passiden the reed see, as bi drye lond, which thing Egipcians asaiynge weren deuourid.
30 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯିରୀହୋ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ସାତ ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଘେରିଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଭୂମିସାତ୍ ହେଲା।
Bi feith the wallis of Jerico felden doun, bi cumpassyng of seuene daies.
31 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ରାହାବ ବେଶ୍ୟା ଗୁପ୍ତଚରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଶ୍ରୟ ଦେବାରୁ ଅନାଜ୍ଞାବହମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ।
Bi feith Raab hoor resseyuede the aspieris with pees, and perischide not with vnbileueful men.
32 ଆଉ ଅଧିକ କଅଣ କହିବି? ଗିଦିୟୋନ, ବାରକ, ଶାମ୍ଶୋନ୍, ଯିପ୍ତହ, ଦାଉଦ, ଶାମୁୟେଲ ଓ ଭାବବାଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟ ଯଦି ମୁଁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରେ, ତେବେ ସମୟ ଅଣ୍ଟିବ ନାହିଁ;
And what yit schal Y seie? For tyme schal faile to me tellynge of Gedeon, Barak, Sampson, Jepte, Dauid, and Samuel, and of othere prophetis;
33 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନେ ରାଜ୍ୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଜୟ କଲେ, ଧର୍ମ ସାଧନ କଲେ, ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାର ଫଳପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ, ସିଂହମାନଙ୍କ ମୁଖରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ହେଲେ,
whiche bi feith ouercamen rewmes, wrouyten riytwisnesse, gaten repromyssiouns; thei stoppiden the mouthis of liouns,
34 ଅଗ୍ନିର ତେଜ ନିବାରଣ କଲେ, ଖଡ୍ଗଧାରରୁ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ, ଦୁର୍ବଳ ସମୟରେ ସବଳ ହେଲେ, ଯୁଦ୍ଧରେ ବିଜୟୀ ହେଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କର ସୈନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିତାଡ଼ିତ କଲେ।
thei quenchiden the feersnesse of fier, thei dryueden awei the egge of swerd, thei coueriden of sijknesse, thei weren maad strong in batel, thei turneden the oostis of aliens.
35 ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଲୋକମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ମୃତମାନଙ୍କୁ ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ; ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟତର ପୁନରୁତ୍ଥାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା ନ କରି ମହାଯନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ଭୋଗ କଲେ।
Wymmen resseyueden her deed children fro deth to lijf; but othere weren holdun forth, not takinge redempcioun, that thei schulden fynde a betere ayenrising.
36 ଅନ୍ୟମାନେ ବିଦ୍ରୂପ, କୋରଡ଼ା ପ୍ରହାର, ହଁ, ବନ୍ଧନ ଓ କାରାବାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେଲେ;
And othere asaieden scornyngis and betingis, more ouer and boondis and prisouns.
37 କେହି ଅବା ପ୍ରସ୍ତରାଘାତରେ ହତ, କେହି ଅବା ନିର୍ଯ୍ୟାତିତ, କେହି କରତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦ୍ୱିଖଣ୍ଡିତ, ପୁଣି, କେହି ଅବା ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିହତ ହେଲେ, କେହି କେହି ମେଷ ଓ ଛାଗଳର ଚର୍ମରେ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦିତ, ଅଭାବଗ୍ରସ୍ତ, କ୍ଳିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ତାଡନାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ
Thei weren stoned, thei weren sawid, thei weren temptid, thei weren deed in sleyng of swerd. Thei wenten aboute in broc skynnes, and in skynnes of geet, nedi, angwischid, turmentid;
38 ପ୍ରାନ୍ତର, ପର୍ବତ, ଗୁହା, ପୁଣି, ପୃଥିବୀର ଗହ୍ୱର ଭ୍ରମଣ କଲେ; ଜଗତ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ନ ଥିଲା।
to whiche the world was not worthi. Thei erriden in wildernessis, in mounteynes and dennes, and caues of the erthe.
39 ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଏହି ସମସ୍ତେ ସୁଖ୍ୟାତି ଲାଭ କରି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାର ଫଳପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ,
And alle these, preued bi witnessing of feith, token not repromyssioun;
40 ଯେଣୁ ଈଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉତ୍କୃଷ୍ଟତର ବିଷୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରି ରଖିଥିଲେ, ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିନା ସିଦ୍ଧ ଲାଭ ନ କରନ୍ତି।
