ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ପ୍ରଥମ ପୁସ୍ତକ 17
1 ଅବ୍ରାମଙ୍କର ଅନେଶ୍ୱତ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭେ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର; ଆମ୍ଭ ଛାମୁରେ ଧର୍ମାଚରଣ କରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହୁଅ।
And Abram was ninety-nine years old, and the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am your God, be well-pleasing before me, and be blameless.
2 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆପଣା ନିୟମ ସ୍ଥିର କରି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅତିଶୟ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା।”
And I will establish my covenant between me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.
3 ତହିଁରେ ଅବ୍ରାମ ମୁହଁ ମାଡ଼ି ପଡ଼ନ୍ତେ, ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆଳାପ କରି କହିଲେ,
And Abram fell upon his face, and God spoke to him, saying,
4 “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଆପଣା ନିୟମ ସ୍ଥିର କରୁଅଛୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀର ଆଦିପୁରୁଷ ହେବ।
And I, behold! my covenant [is] with you, and you shall be a father of a multitude of nations.
5 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନାମ ଅବ୍ରାମ ଆଉ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଅବ୍ରହାମ ହେବ। ଯେହେତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅନେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀର ଆଦିପିତା କଲୁ।
And your name shall no more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraam, for I have made you a father of many nations.
6 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଅତିଶୟ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା, ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଅନେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଜାତ କରାଇବା ଓ ରାଜାମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହେବେ।
And I will increase you very exceedingly, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come out of you.
7 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶ-ପରମ୍ପରା ସହିତ ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମ ସ୍ଥିର କଲୁ, ତାହା ଅନନ୍ତକାଳସ୍ଥାୟୀ ହେବ। ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ହେବା।
And I will establish my covenant between you and your seed after you, to their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and [the God] of your seed after you.
8 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏବେ ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କିଣାନ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରୁଅଛ, ତହିଁର ସମୁଦାୟ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶକୁ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳୀନ ଅଧିକାର ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦେବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ହେବା।”
And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land wherein you sojourn, even all the land of Chanaan for an everlasting possession, and I will be to them a God.
9 ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କୁ ଆହୁରି କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନିୟମ ପାଳନ କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶ ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ତାହା ପାଳନ କରିବେ।
And God said to Abraam, You also shall fully keep my covenant, you and your seed after you for their generations.
10 ତୁମ୍ଭର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶର ସହିତ କୃତ ଆମ୍ଭର ଯେଉଁ ନିୟମ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପାଳନ କରିବ ତାହା ଏହି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପୁରୁଷ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେବ।
And this [is] the covenant which you shall fully keep between me and you, and between your seed after you for their generations; every male of you shall be circumcised.
11 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣାର ଲିଙ୍ଗାଗ୍ର ଚର୍ମ ଛେଦନ କରିବ; ଆଉ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିୟମର ଚିହ୍ନ ହେବ।
And you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between me and you.
12 ପୁରୁଷାନୁକ୍ରମେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପୁତ୍ର ସନ୍ତାନର ଆଠ ଦିନ ବୟସରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେବ। ପୁଣି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଂଶ ନୁହନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ବିଦେଶୀୟ ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଗୃହରେ ଜାତ ଅଥବା ମୂଲ୍ୟରେ କ୍ରୀତ ହୁଏ, ତାହାର ମଧ୍ୟ ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେବ।
And the child of eight days [old] shall be circumcised by you, every male throughout your generations, and [the servant] born in the house and he that is bought with money, of every son of a stranger, who is not of your seed.
13 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଗୃହଜାତ ଅଥବା ମୂଲ୍ୟକ୍ରୀତ ଲୋକର ସୁନ୍ନତ ଅବଶ୍ୟ କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ; ତହିଁରେ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ନିମିତ୍ତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମାଂସରେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିୟମର ଚିହ୍ନ ଥିବ।
He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with money shall be surely circumcised, and my covenant shall be on your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 ମାତ୍ର ଯାହାର ଲିଙ୍ଗାଗ୍ର ଚର୍ମର ଛେଦନ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଯେ ଅସୁନ୍ନତ ପୁରୁଷ, ସେ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଆପଣା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ; ସେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନିୟମ ଲଙ୍ଘନ କଲା।”
And the uncircumcised male, who shall not be circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin on the eighth day, that soul shall be utterly destroyed from its family, for he has broken my covenant.
15 ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ସାରୀକୁ ଆଉ ସାରୀ ବୋଲି ଡାକ ନାହିଁ; ତାହାର ନାମ ସାରା ହେଲା।
And God said to Abraam, Sara your wife—her name shall not be called Sara, Sarrha shall be her name.
16 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା ଓ ତାହାଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ପୁତ୍ର ଦେବା; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା, ସେ ନାନା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀର ଆଦିମାତା ହେବ, ତାହାଠାରୁ ନାନା ଦେଶୀୟ ରାଜାଗଣ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହେବେ।”
And I will bless her, and give you a son of her, and I will bless him, and he shall become nations, and kings of nations shall be of him.
17 ସେତେବେଳେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ମୁହଁ ମାଡ଼ି ପଡ଼ି ହସିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ମନେ ମନେ କହିଲେ, “ପୁରୁଷର ଶହେ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ କି ସନ୍ତାନ ଜାତ ହେବ? ନବେ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସ୍କା ସାରା କି ପ୍ରସବ କରିବ?”
And Abraam fell upon his face, and laughed; and spoke in his heart, saying, Shall there be a child to one who is a hundred years old, and shall Sarrha who is ninety years old, bear?
18 ତହିଁରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଇଶ୍ମାୟେଲ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛାମୁରେ ବଞ୍ଚି ଥାଉ।”
And Abraam said to God, Let this Ismael live before you.
19 ସେତେବେଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ସାରା ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ପୁତ୍ର ପ୍ରସବ କରିବ, ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ନାମ ଇସ୍ହାକ ରଖିବ, ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ସହିତ ଆପଣା ନିୟମ ସ୍ଥିର କରିବା; ତାହା ତାହାର ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ବଂଶ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଚିରସ୍ଥାୟୀ ନିୟମ ହେବ।
And God said to Abraam, Yes, behold, Sarrha your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish my covenant with him, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to him and to his seed after him.
20 ପୁଣି, ଇଶ୍ମାୟେଲ ବିଷୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା ଶୁଣିଲୁ; ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା, ପୁଣି, ବହୁ ପ୍ରଜାବନ୍ତ କରି; ତାହାର ବଂଶ ଅତିଶୟ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା। ତାହାଠାରୁ ଦ୍ୱାଦଶ ରାଜା ଜାତ ହେବେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ବଡ଼ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ କରିବା।
And concerning Ismael, behold, I have heard you, and, behold, I have blessed him, and will increase him and multiply him exceedingly; twelve nations shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 ମାତ୍ର ଆଗାମୀ ବର୍ଷର ଏହି ସମୟରେ ସାରାର ଗର୍ଭରୁ ଯେଉଁ ଇସ୍ହାକ ଜନ୍ମିବ, ତାହା ସହିତ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନିୟମ ସ୍ଥିର କରିବା।”
But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarrha shall bear to you at this time, in the next year.
22 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଶେଷ କରି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱଗମନ କଲେ।
And he left off speaking with him, and God went up from Abraam.
23 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶ୍ମାୟେଲକୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଗୃହଜାତ ଓ ମୂଲ୍ୟକ୍ରୀତ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କର ଗୃହସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ପୁରୁଷକୁ ଘେନି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ସେହି ଦିନ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ଲିଙ୍ଗାଗ୍ର ଚର୍ମ ଛେଦନ କଲେ।
And Abraam took Ismael his son, and all his home-born [servants], and all those bought with money, and every male of the men in the house of Abraam, and he circumcised their foreskins in the time of that day, according as God spoke to him.
24 ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କର ଅନେଶ୍ୱତ ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଲିଙ୍ଗାଗ୍ର ଚର୍ମ ଛେଦନ ହେଲା।
And Abraam was ninety-nine years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25 ପୁଣି, ତାଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶ୍ମାୟେଲର ତେର ବର୍ଷ ବୟସରେ ଲିଙ୍ଗାଗ୍ର ଚର୍ମ ଛେଦନ ହେଲା।
And Ismael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26 ଏହିରୂପେ ଏକ ଦିନରେ ଅବ୍ରହାମଙ୍କର ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶ୍ମାୟେଲର ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲା।
And at the period of that day, Abraam was circumcised, and Ismael his son,
27 ପୁଣି, ତାଙ୍କ ଗୃହଜାତ ଓ ବିଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ମୂଲ୍ୟକ୍ରୀତ ତାଙ୍କ ଗୃହସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ପୁରୁଷର ସୁନ୍ନତ ହେଲା।
and all the men of his house, both those born in the house, and those bought with money of foreign nations.
