ଯିହିଜିକଲ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକ 21
1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 “ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ରଖ, ପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ ସମୂହର ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟ ବର୍ଷଣ କର ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର,
Son of man, direct thy face toward Jerusalem, and preach toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
3 ଆଉ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶକୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତିକୂଳ ଅଟୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଖଡ୍ଗ କୋଷରୁ ବାହାର କରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟକୁ ବଧ କରିବା।
And say to the land of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will be against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of its sheath; and I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
4 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟକୁ ବଧ କରିବା, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଖଡ୍ଗ କୋଷରୁ ବାହାରି ଦକ୍ଷିଣଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯିବ;
But because I shall have cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked: therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north;
5 ତହିଁରେ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଜାଣିବେ ଯେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ଖଡ୍ଗ କୋଷରୁ ବାହାର କରିଅଛୁ; ତାହା ଆଉ ଫେରିବ ନାହିଁ।
That all flesh may know that I the Lord have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
6 ଏହେତୁ ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୀର୍ଘ ନିଃଶ୍ୱାସ ଛାଡ଼; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା କଟି ଭାଙ୍ଗି ମନସ୍ତାପପୂର୍ବକ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଦୀର୍ଘ ନିଃଶ୍ୱାସ ଛାଡ଼ିବ।
But thou, son of man, do thou sigh: as though with broken loins, and with bitterness [of grief] shalt thou sigh before their eyes.
7 ଆଉ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଦୀର୍ଘ ନିଃଶ୍ୱାସ ଛାଡ଼ୁଅଛ?’ ଏ କଥା ଯଦି ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପଚାରିବେ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହିବ, ‘ସମ୍ବାଦ ସକାଶେ, କାରଣ ତାହା ଆସୁଅଛି; ତହିଁରେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ହୃଦୟ ତରଳି ଯିବ ଓ ସକଳ ହସ୍ତ ଦୁର୍ବଳ ହେବ, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମନ କ୍ଳାନ୍ତ ହେବ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଣ୍ଠୁ ଜଳ ପରି ହେବ; ଦେଖ, ତାହା ଆସୁଅଛି ଓ ତାହା ସିଦ୍ଧ ହେବ,’” ଏହା ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt say, For the report, because it cometh, when every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be made feeble, and every spirit shall become faint, and all knees shall be changed into water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord Eternal.
8 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 “ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରି କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; କୁହ, ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଖଡ୍ଗ, ତାହା ଶାଣିତ ଓ ମଧ୍ୟ ମାର୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛି;
Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus hath said the Lord, Say, The sword, the sword is sharpened, and also polished;
10 ହତ୍ୟା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଶାଣିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ବିଜୁଳି ପରି ହେବା ପାଇଁ ତାହା ମାର୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆମୋଦ ପ୍ରମୋଦ କରିବା? ଆମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ରର ରାଜଦଣ୍ଡ ଯାବତୀୟ କାଷ୍ଠକୁ ତୁଚ୍ଛ କରେ।
In order to make a thorough slaughter is it sharpened; in order that it may glitter is it polished: how can we now rejoice, [when] the rod which reacheth my son excelleth in hardness every tree?
11 ପୁଣି, ହାତରେ ଧରାଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ମାର୍ଜିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ଦିଆଯାଇଅଛି; ହନ୍ତାର ହସ୍ତରେ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଶାଣିତ ଓ ମାର୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।
And he hath given it to be polished, to make it fit to grasp it in the hand: it is the sword which is sharpened, and it is polished, to place it into the hand of the slayer.
12 ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଓ ହାହାକାର କର; କାରଣ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଧିପତିଗଣର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ସମର୍ପିତ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଊରୁ ଦେଶରେ ଆଘାତ କର।
Cry aloud and wail, O son of man; for it cometh against my people, it cometh against all the princes of Israel; brought together for the sword are they with my people: therefore strike [thy hand] upon thy thigh.
13 କାରଣ ପରୀକ୍ଷା ଗୋଟିଏ ଅଛି, ପୁଣି, ସେହି ତୁଚ୍ଛକାରୀ ରାଜଦଣ୍ଡ ଆଉ ନ ରହେ, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ହିଁ କି? ଏହା ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
For a purification taketh place: and what if the irresistible rod will also come? [my son] would not be able to exist, saith the Lord Eternal.
14 ଏହେତୁ ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୁଇ ହସ୍ତ ଏକତ୍ର ମାର; ସେହି ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଆହତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦୁଇଗୁଣ, ତିନିଗୁଣ ହେଉ; ତାହା ଆହତ ମହତ ଲୋକର ଖଡ୍ଗ, ତାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଭିତର କୋଠରିରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରେ।
But thou, son of man, prophesy, and strike thy hands together, and let “The sword” be repeated the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great that are slain, which lieth in wait for them everywhere.
15 ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ଯେପରି ତରଳି ଯାଏ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅନେକ ବିଘ୍ନ ଜନ୍ମେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସକଳ ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଖଡ୍ଗର ଅଗ୍ରଭାଗ ରଖିଅଛୁ; ଆଃ! ତାହା ବିଜୁଳି ତୁଲ୍ୟ ନିର୍ମିତ, ହତ୍ୟା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ କରାଯାଇଅଛି।
In order to make timid the heart, and to multiply the stumbling-blocks, do I bring the howling of the sword against all their gates: ah! it is made bright, it is made thin-edged for the slaughter.
16 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଏକତ୍ର କର, ଡାହାଣକୁ ଯାଅ, ଆପଣାକୁ ସଜାଇ ବାମ ପ୍ରତି ଯାଅ; ଯେକୌଣସି ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭର ମୁଖ ରଖାଯାଇଅଛି (ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର)।
Gather up thy strength, go to the right hand, direct thyself, go to the left, whithersoever thy edge is turned.
17 ଆମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣାର ଦୁଇ ହସ୍ତ ଏକତ୍ର ମାରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା କୋପକୁ ତୃପ୍ତ କରାଇବା,” ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହିଅଛୁ।
And I also, —I will strike my hands together, and I will cause my fury to be assuaged: I the Lord have spoken it.
18 ପୁନର୍ବାର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
19 “ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ବାବିଲ ରାଜାର ଖଡ୍ଗ ଆସିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆହୁରି ଦୁଇ ପଥ ନିରୂପଣ କର; ସେ ଦୁଇ ପଥ ଏକ ଦେଶରୁ ଆସିବ; ଆଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ ଚିହ୍ନିତ କର, ନଗରଗାମୀ ପଥ ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଚିହ୍ନିତ କର।
But thou, O son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; out of one land shall both of them come forth: and select a place; at the head of the way to a city do thou select it.
20 ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣର ରବ୍ବାକୁ ଓ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ବେଷ୍ଟିତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମସ୍ଥ ଯିହୁଦାକୁ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଆସିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପଥ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କର।
A way shalt thou appoint, that the sword may come against Rabbah of the children of 'Ammon, and [the other] against Judah [dwelling] in Jerusalem the fortified.
21 କାରଣ ବାବିଲ ରାଜା ମନ୍ତ୍ର ପାଠ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦୁଇ ପଥର ସଙ୍ଗମ ସ୍ଥାନରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଦୁଇ ପଥର ମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲା; ସେ ତୀରସବୁ ଏଣେତେଣେ ହଲାଇଲା, ସେ ଠାକୁରମାନଙ୍କୁ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ପଚାରିଲା, ସେ ଯକୃତ ନିରୀକ୍ଷଣ କଲା।
For the king of Babylon hath halted at the parting of the way, at the commencement of the two ways, to use divination: he shaketh the arrows, he consulteth with images, he looketh at the liver.
22 ତାହାର ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ହସ୍ତରେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ନାମରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ଭେଦକ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ, ବଧଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେବାକୁ, ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ ସିଂହନାଦ କରିବାକୁ, ନଗରର ଦ୍ୱାରସମୂହର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର-ଭେଦକ ଯନ୍ତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବାକୁ, ବନ୍ଧ ବାନ୍ଧିବାକୁ ଓ ଦୁର୍ଗ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାକୁ ଯିରୂଶାଲମର ନାମରେ ମନ୍ତ୍ର ଉଠିଲା।
At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to erect battering-rams, to open the mouth with the [cry for] murder, to lift up the voice with shouting, to place battering-rams against the gates, to cast up a mound, and to build works of attack.
23 ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଥରକୁଥର ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ତାହା ମିଥ୍ୟା ବୋଧ ହେବ; ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ଧରାଯିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧର୍ମ ସ୍ମରଣରେ ଆଣିବେ।
And it will appear unto them as a false divination in their eyes, to those that had sworn oaths; but he will bring to remembrance their iniquity, that they may be caught.
24 ଏହେତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଆଜ୍ଞା-ଲଙ୍ଘନସବୁ ଅନାବୃତ ହେବାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧର୍ମ ସ୍ମରଣ କରାଇଅଛ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସକଳ କ୍ରିୟାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ମରଣରେ ଆସିବାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ହସ୍ତରେ ଧରାଯିବ।
Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because ye have brought your iniquity to remembrance, as your transgressions are discovered, so that your sins do appear in all your doings: because ye are thus brought to remembrance, ye shall be caught by [his] hand.
25 ପୁଣି, ହେ ଆହତ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲୀୟ ଅଧିପତି, ଅନ୍ତିମ ଅପରାଧ ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦିନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି;
And thou, death-deserving wicked one, prince of Israel, whose day is come, at the time of the iniquity of the end, —
26 ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ଶିରୋଭୂଷଣ ଦୂର କର, ରାଜମୁକୁଟ କାଢ଼ି ପକାଅ; ଏହା ସେହିପରି ଆଉ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ; ଯାହା ନୀଚ, ତାହାକୁ ଉଚ୍ଚ କର ଓ ଯାହା ଉଚ୍ଚ, ତାହାକୁ ନୀଚ କର।
Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Remove the mitre, and take off the crown: this shall not be always so; exalt him that is low, and make him low that is high.
27 ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାଇବା, ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାଇବା, ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାଇବା; ଯେ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ସେ ନ ଆସିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଆଉ ରହିବ ନାହିଁ, ତହୁଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏହା ଦେବା।
Overthrown, overthrown, overthrown will I render it: also this shall not belong [to any one], until he come whose right it is, and I will give it him.
28 ପୁଣି ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କରି କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅମ୍ମୋନ-ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ବିଷୟରେ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅପମାନ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୁହ, ଅନ୍ତିମ ଅଧର୍ମ ସମୟରେ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କର ଦିନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏପରି ଆହତ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଗ୍ରୀବା ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଥୋଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ ଅସାର ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଲେ ହେଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ମିଥ୍ୟା ମନ୍ତ୍ର ପାଠ କଲେ ହେଁ,
And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal concerning the children of 'Ammon, and concerning their reproach: even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn; for the slaughter is it polished, to destroy, that it may continue to glitter;
29 ଖଡ୍ଗ, ଖଡ୍ଗ ନିଷ୍କୋଷ ହୋଇଅଛି, ହତ୍ୟା ଓ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାହା ଯେପରି ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ପରି ହେବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତାହା ମାର୍ଜିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।
While they foresee unto thee falsehood, while they divine unto thee lies, to lay thee by the necks of the slain wicked, whose day is come, at the time of the iniquity of the end.
30 ତାକୁ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହାର କୋଷକୁ ଫେରାଇ ଆଣ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଥିଲ ଓ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜନ୍ମ ହୋଇଥିଲ, ସେଠାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଚାର କରିବା।
Put back [the sword] into its sheath! in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy origin, will I judge thee.
31 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ଢାଳିବା; ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପରୂପ ଅଗ୍ନି ଫୁଙ୍କିବା; ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପଶୁବତ୍ ଓ ବିନାଶ କରିବାକୁ ନିପୁଣ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା।
And I will pour out over thee my indignation, with the fire of my wrath will I blow against thee, and I will give thee up into the hand of brutish men, skilful in destroying.
32 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଗ୍ନି ପାଇଁ ଜାଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ; ତୁମ୍ଭର ରକ୍ତ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପତିତ ହେବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆଉ ସ୍ମୃତିପଥରେ ଆସିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହିଅଛୁ।”
To the fire shalt thou be given to be devoured; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land: thou shalt not be remembered [any more]; for I the Lord have spoken it.
