ଯିହିଜିକଲ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ପୁସ୍ତକ 20

1 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସପ୍ତମ ବର୍ଷର ପଞ୍ଚମ ମାସରେ, ମାସର ଦଶମ ଦିନରେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶୀୟ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେତେକ ଜଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆସି ମୋʼ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ବସିଲେ।

Now it came about in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, that certain of the responsible men of Israel came to get directions from the Lord and were seated before me.

2 ସେତେବେଳେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

3 “ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶୀୟ ପ୍ରାଚୀନବର୍ଗଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥା କହି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଆସିଅଛ? ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଦେବା ନାହିଁ।

Son of man, say to the responsible men of Israel, This is what the Lord has said: Have you come to get directions from me? By my life, says the Lord, you will get no directions from me.

4 ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବ? ତୁମ୍ଭେ କି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ବିଚାର କରିବ? ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କ୍ରିୟାସକଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଅ,

Will you be their judge, O son of man, will you be their judge? make clear to them the disgusting ways of their fathers,

5 ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦିନ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କଲୁ ଓ ଯାକୁବର କୁଳଜାତ ବଂଶ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ ଓ ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆପଣାର ପରିଚୟ ଦେଲୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ;

And say to them, This is what the Lord has said: In the day when I took Israel for myself, when I made an oath to the seed of the family of Jacob, and I gave them knowledge of myself in the land of Egypt, saying to them with an oath, I am the Lord your God;

6 ସେହି ଦିନ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିଥିଲୁ, ସର୍ବ ଦେଶର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ସେହି ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସପକ୍ଷରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

In that day I gave my oath to take them out of the land of Egypt into a land which I had been searching out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands:

7 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁସକଳ ଦୂର କର ଓ ମିସରୀୟ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କର ନାହିଁ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ।

And I said to them, Let every man among you put away the disgusting things to which his eyes are turned, and do not make yourselves unclean with the images of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

8 ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚାରୀ ହେଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର କଥା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଅସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ; ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜଣ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ବସ୍ତୁସକଳ ଦୂର କଲେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ମିସରୀୟ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣକୁ ଛାଡ଼ିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିସର ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ସାଧିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

But they would not be controlled by me, and did not give ear to me; they did not put away the disgusting things to which their eyes were turned, or give up the images of Egypt: then I said I would let loose my passion on them to give full effect to my wrath against them in the land of Egypt.

9 ତଥାପି ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଥିଲେ, ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ, ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାର ପରିଚୟ ଦେଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

And I was acting for the honour of my name, so that it might not be made unclean before the eyes of the nations among whom they were, and before whose eyes I gave them knowledge of myself, by taking them out of the land of Egypt.

10 ଏହିରୂପେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରାଇ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ଆଣିଲୁ।

So I made them go out of the land of Egypt and took them into the waste land.

11 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣାର ବିଧି ଦେଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଶାସନସକଳ ଜ୍ଞାତ କରାଇଲୁ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯଦି ତାହା ପାଳନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ!

And I gave them my rules and made clear to them my orders, which, if a man keeps them, will be life to him.

12 ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ରକାରୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣାର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲୁ।

And further, I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, so that it might be clear that I, who make them holy, am the Lord.

13 ମାତ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚାରୀ ହେଲେ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଯଦି ତାହା ପାଳନ କରେ, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ; ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ; ସେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂହାର କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

But the children of Israel would not be controlled by me in the waste land: they were not guided by my rules, and they were turned away from my orders, which, if a man does them, will be life to him; and they had no respect for my Sabbaths: then I said that I would let loose my passion on them in the waste land, and put an end to them.

14 ତଥାପି ଯେଉଁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

And I was acting for the honour of my name, so that it might not be made unclean in the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had taken them out.

15 ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ସର୍ବ ଦେଶର ଗୌରବ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଯେଉଁ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନ ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

And further, I gave my oath to them in the waste land, that I would not take them into the land which I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the glory of all lands;

16 କାରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ଅନୁଗାମୀ ହେବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ, ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ।

Because they were turned away from my orders, and were not guided by my rules, and had no respect for my Sabbaths: for their hearts went after their images.

17 ତଥାପି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭର ଲଜ୍ଜ୍ୟା ହେଲା, ଏଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ରୂପେ ସଂହାର କଲୁ ନାହିଁ।

But still my eye had pity on them and I kept them from destruction and did not put an end to them completely in the waste land.

18 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃଗଣର ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ଚାଲ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶାସନସକଳ ମାନ ନାହିଁ, ଅଥବା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କର ନାହିଁ;

And I said to their children in the waste land, Do not be guided by the rules of your fathers or keep their orders or make yourselves unclean with their images:

19 ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ; ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାଳନ କର;

I am the Lord your God; be guided by my rules and keep my orders and do them:

20 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ପବିତ୍ର କର; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତାହାସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ।

And keep my Sabbaths holy; and they will be a sign between me and you so that it may be clear to you that I am the Lord your God.

21 ମାତ୍ର ସେହି ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଦ୍ରୋହାଚରଣ କଲେ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିରୂପ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିଲେ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ରକ୍ଷା କରି ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ତାହା ପାଳନ କଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବ; ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଆପଣା କ୍ରୋଧ ସାଧିବା ପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା କୋପ ଢାଳିବା ବୋଲି କହିଲୁ।

22 ତଥାପି ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେହି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ଯେପରି ଅପବିତ୍ର ନ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ସମ୍ବରଣ କଲୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କଲୁ।

23 ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭେ ନାନା ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ଓ ନାନା ଦେଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିକ୍ଷେପ କରିବୁ ବୋଲି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ;

Further, I gave my oath to them in the waste land that I would send them wandering among the nations, driving them out among the countries;

24 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଶାସନସକଳ ପାଳନ କଲେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଧିସକଳ ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କଲେ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ରାମ ଦିନସକଳ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପିତୃବର୍ଗର ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ପ୍ରତି ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରହିଲା।

Because they had not done my orders, but had been turned away from my rules, and had not given respect to my Sabbaths, and their eyes were turned to the images of their fathers.

25 ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ଯାହା ସେମାନଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳଜନକ ନୁହେଁ, ଏପରି ବିଧି ଓ ଯହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ବଞ୍ଚିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଶାସନସବୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲୁ;

And further, I gave them rules which were not good and orders in which there was no life for them;

26 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ସେମାନେ ଜାଣିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ଗର୍ଭାଶୟ ମୁକ୍ତକାରୀ ସମସ୍ତ ସନ୍ତାନକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରାଇବା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଯେଉଁ ଉପହାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରାଇଲୁ।

I made them unclean in the offerings they gave, causing them to make every first child go through the fire, so that I might put an end to them.

27 ଏହେତୁ ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥା କହି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପିତୃପୁରୁଷମାନେ ଏଥିରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ସତ୍ୟ-ଲଙ୍ଘନ କରି ଆମ୍ଭର ନିନ୍ଦା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

For this cause, son of man, say to the children of Israel, This is what the Lord has said: In this your fathers have further put shame on my name by doing wrong against me.

28 କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଥିଲୁ, ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିଲୁ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଉଚ୍ଚ ପର୍ବତ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଗହଳିଆ ବୃକ୍ଷ ଦେଖି ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ବଳିଦାନ କଲେ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେମାନେ (ଆମ୍ଭର) ବିରକ୍ତିଜନକ ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଯୁକ୍ତ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ରଖିଲେ ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପେୟ-ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଢାଳିଲେ।

For when I had taken them into the land which I made an oath to give to them, then they saw every high hill and every branching tree and made their offerings there, moving me to wrath by their offerings; and there the sweet smell of their offerings went up and their drink offerings were drained out.

29 ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀକି ଯାଅ, ତାହାର ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟ ଏହି କି? ଏଣୁ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତହିଁର ନାମ ବାମା (ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ) ରହିଅଛି।

Then I said to them, What is this high place where you go to no purpose? And it is named Bamah to this day.

30 ଏଣୁକରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶକୁ କୁହ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ରୀତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରୁଅଛ? ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ହେଉଅଛ?

For this cause say to the children of Israel, This is what the Lord has said: Are you making yourselves unclean as your fathers did? are you being untrue to me by going after their disgusting works?

31 ଆଉ, ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଉପହାର ଦାନ କରୁଅଛ, ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧ୍ୟଦେଇ ଗମନ କରାଉଅଛ, ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କି ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରୁ ନାହଁ? ତେବେ ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ଆମ୍ଭେ କି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବାକୁ ଦେବା? ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ପଚାରିବା ପାଇଁ ଦେବା ନାହିଁ;

And when you give your offerings, causing your sons to go through the fire, you make yourselves unclean with all your images to this day; and will you come to me for directions, O children of Israel? By my life, says the Lord, you will get no direction from me.

32 ପୁଣି, ‘ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାଷ୍ଠ ଓ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରର ସେବା କରି ଅନ୍ୟଦେଶୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଓ ନାନା ଦେଶ ନିବାସୀ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀମାନଙ୍କ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ହେବା ବୋଲି ଏହି ଯେଉଁ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମନରେ ଉଠୁଅଛି ଓ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହୁଅଛ,’ ତାହା କେବେ ଘଟିବ ନାହିଁ।

And that which comes into your minds will never take place; when you say, We will be like the nations, like the families of the countries, servants of wood and stone;

33 ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ବଳବାନ ହସ୍ତ, ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବାହୁ ଓ କୋପବର୍ଷଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ରାଜା ହେବା;

By my life, says the Lord, truly, with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with burning wrath let loose, I will be King over you:

34 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବଳବାନ ହସ୍ତ, ବିସ୍ତୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବାହୁ ଓ କୋପବର୍ଷଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇଅଛ, ସେହି ସବୁ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା;

And I will take you out from the peoples and get you together out of the countries where you are wandering, with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with burning wrath let loose:

35 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀସମୂହର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରକୁ ଆଣି ସମ୍ମୁଖାସମ୍ମୁଖୀ ହୋଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିବା।

And I will take you into the waste land of the peoples, and there I will take up the cause with you face to face.

36 ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ମିସର ଦେଶର ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରରେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିଥିଲୁ, ସେହିପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଚାର କରିବା।

As I took up the cause with your fathers in the waste land of the land of Egypt, so will I take up the cause with you says the Lord.

37 ଆଉ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପାଞ୍ଚଣ ତଳେ ଗମନ କରାଇବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିୟମରୂପ ବନ୍ଧନରେ ଆବଦ୍ଧ କରିବା;

And I will make you go under the rod and will make you small in number:

38 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅପରାଧକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଝାଡ଼ି ଦୂର କରିଦେବା; ସେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ଦେଶରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।

Clearing out from among you all those who are uncontrolled and who are sinning against me; I will take them out of the land where they are living, but they will not come into the land of Israel: and you will be certain that I am the Lord.

39 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭ ବାକ୍ୟରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ ନ କରିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଯାଇ ଏବେ ଓ ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣର ସେବା କର; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ଉପହାର ଓ ପ୍ରତିମାଗଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ନାମ ଆଉ ଅପବିତ୍ର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।

As for you, O children of Israel, the Lord has said: Let every man completely put away his images and give ear to me: and let my holy name no longer be shamed by your offerings and your images.

40 କାରଣ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭର ପବିତ୍ର ପର୍ବତରେ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଉଚ୍ଚତମ ପର୍ବତରେ, ସମୁଦାୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତେ ହିଁ ସେଠାରେ ଦେଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ସେବା କରିବେ; ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରିବା ଓ ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଯାବତୀୟ ପବିତ୍ର ବସ୍ତୁ ସହିତ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପହାର ଓ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଫଳର ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଚାହିଁବା।

For in my holy mountain, in the high mountain of Israel, says the Lord, there all the children of Israel, all of them, will be my servants in the land; there I will take pleasure in them, and there I will be worshipped with your offerings and the first-fruits of the things you give, and with all your holy things.

41 ଯେଉଁ ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିବା ଓ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଛିନ୍ନଭିନ୍ନ ହୋଇ ରହିଅଛ, ସେହି ସବୁ ଦେଶରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବା, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସୁଗନ୍ଧିଯୁକ୍ତ ଆଘ୍ରାଣାର୍ଥକ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବା ଓ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀଗଣର ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ପବିତ୍ରୀକୃତ ହେବା।

I will take pleasure in you as in a sweet smell, when I take you out from the peoples and get you together from the countries where you have been sent in flight; and I will make myself holy in you before the eyes of the nations.

42 ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ଉଠାଇଲୁ, ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସେହି ଦେଶକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିବା, ସେତେବେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।

And you will be certain that I am the Lord, when I take you into the land of Israel, into the country which I made an oath to give to your fathers.

43 ଆଉ, ଯହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଶୁଚି କରିଅଛ, ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର ସେହି ଆଚାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଓ କ୍ରିୟାସକଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେଠାରେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବ ଓ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କର କୃତ ସମସ୍ତ କୁକ୍ରିୟା ସକାଶୁ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ।

And there, at the memory of your ways and of all the things you did to make yourselves unclean, you will have bitter hate for yourselves because of all the evil things you have done.

44 ପୁଣି, ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଆଚାର ବ୍ୟବହାରାନୁସାରେ ନୁହେଁ, କିଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ଭ୍ରଷ୍ଟ କ୍ରିୟାନୁସାରେ ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣା ନାମ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିବା, ସେତେବେଳେ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟୁ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିବ।”

And you will be certain that I am the Lord, when I take you in hand for the honour of my name, and not for your evil ways or your unclean doings, O children of Israel, says the Lord.

45 ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା ଏବଂ ସେ କହିଲେ,

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

46 “ହେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ-ସନ୍ତାନ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ରଖ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟ ବର୍ଷଣ କର, ଆଉ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରସ୍ଥ ଅରଣ୍ୟ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍‍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର;

Son of man, let your face be turned to the south, let your words be dropped to the south, and be a prophet against the woodland of the South;

47 ପୁଣି, ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଦିଗର ଅରଣ୍ୟକୁ କୁହ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ; ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି: ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଅଗ୍ନି ଜ୍ୱଳାଇବା, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ସତେଜ ଓ ଶୁଷ୍କ ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ; ସେହି ଜ୍ୱଳନ୍ତ ଅଗ୍ନିଶିଖା ନିର୍ବାପିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣଠାରୁ ଉତ୍ତର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ମୁଖ ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦଗ୍ଧ ହେବ।

And say to the woodland of the South, Give ear to the words of the Lord: this is what the Lord has said: See, I will have a fire lighted in you, for the destruction of every green tree in you and every dry tree: the flaming flame will not be put out, and all faces from the south to the north will be burned by it.

48 ତହିଁରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେହି ଅଗ୍ନି ଯେ ଜ୍ୱଳାଇଅଛୁ, ଏହା ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଦେଖିବେ, ତହିଁର ନିର୍ବାଣ ନୋହିବ।”

And all flesh will see that I the Lord have had it lighted: it will not be put out.

49 ଏଥିରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ସେମାନେ ମୋʼ ବିଷୟରେ କହନ୍ତି, ସେ ଲୋକ କି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ-ବାକ୍ୟବାଦୀ ନୁହେଁ?”

Then I said, Ah, Lord! they say of me, Is he not a maker of stories?
