ଏଷ୍ଟର 10

1 ସେହି ଅକ୍ଷଶ୍ୱେରଶ ରାଜା ଦେଶ ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ରସ୍ଥ ଉପଦ୍ୱୀପସମୂହରେ କର ବସାଇଲେ।

And king Assuerus made all the land, and all the islands of the sea tributary.

2 ପୁଣି, ତାହାର ପରାକ୍ରମ ଓ ପ୍ରଭାବର ସବୁ କଥା, ଆଉ ରାଜା ମର୍ଦ୍ଦଖୟଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଦେଇ ଉଚ୍ଚପଦରେ ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କଲେ, ତହିଁର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିବରଣ କି ମାଦୀୟା ଓ ପାରସ୍ୟ ଦେଶର ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଇତିହାସ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲିଖିତ ନାହିଁ?

And his strength and his empire, and the dignity and greatness wherewith he exalted Mardochai, are written in the books of the Medes, and of the Persians:

3 କାରଣ ଯିହୁଦୀୟ ମର୍ଦ୍ଦଖୟ ଅକ୍ଷଶ୍ୱେରଶ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ହୋଇ ଯିହୁଦୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ମହାନ ଓ ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତୃସମୂହ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରିୟପାତ୍ର ଓ ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳାନ୍ୱେଷୀ, ପୁଣି ଆପଣା ସମସ୍ତ ବଂଶ ପ୍ରତି ଶାନ୍ତିବାଦୀ ଥିଲେ।

And how Mardochai of the race of the Jews, was next after king Assuerus: and great among the Jews, and acceptable to the people of his brethren, seeking the good of his people, and speaking those things which were for the welfare of his seed.
