ଏଫିସୀୟ 5
1 ଅତଏବ ପ୍ରିୟ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅନୁକାରୀ ହୁଅ;
BE ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
2 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ସୁଗନ୍ଧି ନୈବେଦ୍ୟ ଓ ବଳି ସ୍ୱରୂପେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ, ସେହିପରି ପ୍ରେମରେ ଆଚରଣ କର।
and walk in love as Christ also hath loved us, and given himself for us, an oblation and sacrifice to God, for an odour of a sweet smell.
3 କିନ୍ତୁ ବ୍ୟଭିଚାର, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଅଶୁଚିତା କିମ୍ବା ଲୋଭ, ଏହିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସ୍ଥାନ ନ ପାଉ; ତାହା ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଅନୁଚିତ;
But fornication and all impurity, or insatiable desire, let it not be mentioned among you, as becometh saints;
4 ପୁଣି, ଯାହା ଯାହା ଅନୁପଯୁକ୍ତ, ଏପରି କୁତ୍ସିତ ବ୍ୟବହାର ବା ଅସାର କଥା ବା ହାସ୍ୟପରିହାସ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଦେଖା ନ ଯାଉ, ବରଂ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ।
or obscenity, or foolish talk, or loose witticisms; things which become not a Christian, but rather thanksgiving.
5 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତରୂପେ ଜାଣ ଯେ, କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟଭିଚାରୀ ବା ଅଶୁଦ୍ଧାଚାରୀ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ବା ଲୋଭୀ ସେ ତ ପ୍ରତିମାପୂଜକ, ଏମାନଙ୍କର, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଓ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଅଧିକାର ନାହିଁ।
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, or impure person, or avaricious, who is an idolater, hath an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 କେହି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅସାର କଥାରେ ନ ଭୁଲାଉ, କାରଣ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ କୁକର୍ମ ହେତୁ ଅନାଜ୍ଞାବହ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ବର୍ତ୍ତେ।
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things, the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience.
7 ଅତଏବ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସହଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ;
Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପୂର୍ବେ ଅନ୍ଧକାର ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଥିଲ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଆଲୋକ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହୋଇଅଛ; ଆଲୋକର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଆଚରଣ କର,
For ye were formerly darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light;
9 (କାରଣ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଉତ୍ତମତା, ଧାର୍ମିକତା ଓ ସତ୍ୟ ଆଲୋକର ଫଳ ସ୍ୱରୂପ),
(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; )
10 ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କଣ ସନ୍ତୋଷଜନକ, ତାହା ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କର;
proving what is acceptable to the Lord.
11 ଅନ୍ଧକାରର ନିଷ୍ଫଳ କର୍ମସବୁର ସହଭାଗୀ ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ସେସବୁର ଦୋଷ ହିଁ ଦେଖାଇଦିଅ;
And have no society with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather rebuke them.
12 କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ଯାହାସବୁ ଗୁପ୍ତରେ କରନ୍ତି, ସେହିସବୁ କଥା କହିବା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଲଜ୍ଜାଜନକ,
For it is scandalous but to mention the things done of them in secret.
13 କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ବିଷୟର ଦୋଷ ଆଲୋକ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦେଖାଇ ଦିଆଯାଏ, ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୁଏ, ତାହା ଆଲୋକ।
But all things which are rebukeable are made manifest by the light; for it is the light, by which every thing is made manifest.
14 ଏଣୁ ପବିତ୍ର ଶାସ୍ତ୍ରରେ ଉକ୍ତ ଅଛି, “ହେ ନିଦ୍ରିତ ଜାଗ, ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠ, ପୁଣି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଲୋକ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବେ।”
Wherefore he saith, “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”
15 ଅତଏବ ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ପରି ନ ହୋଇ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପରି ନିଜ ନିଜ ଆଚରଣ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ବିଶେଷ ସାବଧାନ ହୁଅ,
Take heed, then, that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 ପୁଣି, ସୁଯୋଗର ସତ୍ ବ୍ୟବହାର କର, କାରଣ କାଳ ମନ୍ଦ ଅଟେ।
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 ଏଣୁ ନିର୍ବୋଧ ନ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କଣ ଇଚ୍ଛା ତାହା ବୁଝ।
Therefore be not unwise, but intelligent concerning what is the will of the Lord.
18 ଆଉ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସରେ ମତ୍ତ ନ ହୁଅ, ସେଥିରୁ ତ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର ଜନ୍ମେ, ମାତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇ ଗୀତ, ସ୍ତୋତ୍ର ଓ ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ସଂକୀର୍ତ୍ତନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଦିଅ,
And be not drunk with wine, in which there is sottishness, but be filled with the Spirit;
19 ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟରେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଭଜନ ଓ ଗୀତ ଗାନ କର;
speaking one to another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing and making melody in the heart to the Lord;
20 ସର୍ବଦା ସର୍ବ ବିଷୟ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ପିତା ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ,
giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God even the Father;
21 ଆଉ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରି ପରସ୍ପରର ବଶୀଭୂତ ହୁଅ।
being subject one to another in the fear of God.
22 ହେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବଶୀଭୂତା ହୁଅ, ସେହିପରି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀର ବଶୀଭୂତ ହୁଅ,
Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ୱରୂପ, ସ୍ୱାମୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ୱରୂପ, ପୁଣି, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରରୂପ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା।
For the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church; and is himself the saviour of the body.
24 ହଁ, ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ଯେପରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ବଶୀଭୂତ, ସେହିପରି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସବୁ ବିଷୟରେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀର ବଶୀଭୂତା ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
As then the church is subject to Christ, so also let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 ହେ ସ୍ୱାମୀମାନେ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେପରି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ସେହିପରି ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କର; ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ତ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କଲେ,
Husbands, love your own wives, as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 ଯେପରି ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ଜଳ ପ୍ରକ୍ଷାଳନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀକୁ ପରିଷ୍କାର କରି ପବିତ୍ର କରନ୍ତି,
that he might sanctify it, purifying it in the laver of water by the word,
27 ଯେପରି ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ନିଷ୍କଳଙ୍କ, ନିଖୁନ୍ତ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରକାର ଦୋଷରହିତ ହୋଇ ପବିତ୍ର ଓ ଅନିନ୍ଦନୀୟ ହୁଏ, ଆଉ ଏହିପରି ଗୌରବମୟ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରନ୍ତି।
that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having blemish, nor wrinkle, nor any such things; but that it may be holy and unblameable.
28 ସେହିପରି ସ୍ୱାମୀମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଶରୀର ସଦୃଶ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଯେ ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ;
So ought husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself.
29 କେହି ତ ଆପଣା ଶରୀରକୁ କେବେ ଘୃଣା କରେ ନାହିଁ, ମାତ୍ର ତାହାର ଭରଣପୋଷଣ ଓ ଲାଳନପାଳନ କରେ; ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ୟ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ପ୍ରତି ସେହିପରି କରନ୍ତି,
For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 ଯେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶରୀରର ଅଙ୍ଗପ୍ରତ୍ୟଙ୍ଗ।
for we are the members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 ଏହି କାରଣରୁ ପୁରୁଷ ପିତାମାତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ନିଜ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଠାରେ ଆସକ୍ତ ହେବ, ଆଉ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଏକାଙ୍ଗ ହେବେ।
For this reason shall a man forsake his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and the two shall be as one flesh.
32 ଏହା ଗୋଟିଏ ଅତି ନିଗୂଢ଼ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ, କିନ୍ତୁ ମୁଁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଓ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧରେ ଏହା କହୁଅଛି।
This mystery is great: but I am speaking with regard to Christ, and with regard to the church.
33 ଯାହା ହେଉ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ଆତ୍ମତୁଲ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କର, ଆଉ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀକୁ ଆଦର କରୁ।
Nevertheless let every one of you individually see that each love his own wife even as himself; but the wife that she stand in awe of the husband.
