ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ପଞ୍ଚମ ପୁସ୍ତକ 6
1 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବାକୁ ପାର ହୋଇ ଯାଉଅଛ, ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଳନାର୍ଥେ ଏହିସବୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଓ ବିଧି ଓ ଶାସନ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି।
And this is the commandment, with the statutes, and the ordinances, which the Lord your God hath commanded to teach you, to do them in the land whither ye are passing over to possess it:
2 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ସକଳ ବିଧି ଓ ଆଜ୍ଞା ମୁଁ ଆଦେଶ କରେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ପୁତ୍ରପୌତ୍ରାଦିକ୍ରମେ ତାହା ପାଳନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦୀର୍ଘାୟୁ ହେବ।
In order that you mayest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and in order that thy days may be prolonged.
3 ଏହେତୁ ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଶୁଣ ଓ ତାହା ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର; ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷଗଣର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେରୂପ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ତଦନୁସାରେ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଓ ମଧୁ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହେବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅତିଶୟ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିଷ୍ଣୁ ହେବ।
Hear, therefore, O Israel, and observe to do them; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase greatly, as the Lord the God of thy fathers hath spoken to thee, [in] the land flowing with milk and honey.
4 ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ, ଶୁଣ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏକମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
Hear, O Israel! The Lord, our God, is the One Eternal Being.
5 ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସମସ୍ତ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତି ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବ।
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6 ପୁଣି ଏହି ଯେଉଁ ସକଳ କଥା ମୁଁ ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରୁଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହୃଦୟରେ ରଖିବ।
And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart:
7 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକୁ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ତାହା ଶିଖାଇବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହରେ ବସିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପଥରେ ଚାଲିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୟନ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଠିବା ବେଳେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସେ ବିଷୟରେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବ।
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and thou shalt speak of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଚିହ୍ନସ୍ୱରୂପ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ତାହା ବାନ୍ଧିବ ଓ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଚକ୍ଷୁଦ୍ୱୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଭୂଷଣ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ହେବ।
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thy eyes.
9 ଆହୁରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହଦ୍ୱାର ଚଉକାଠରେ ଓ ବାହାର ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ତାହା ଲେଖିବ।
And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.
10 ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଅବ୍ରହାମ, ଇସ୍ହାକ ଓ ଯାକୁବ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବା ପାଇଁ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା ନିର୍ମାଣ କରି ନାହଁ, ଏପରି ବୃହତ ଓ ସୁନ୍ଦର ନଗର,
And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land which he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give unto thee, great and goodly cities, which thou didst not build,
11 ଆଉ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରି ନାହଁ, ଏପରି ସକଳ ଉତ୍ତମ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଗୃହ ଓ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଖୋଳିଲ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଖୋଦିତ କୂପ, ଯାହା ରୋପଣ କଲ ନାହିଁ, ଏପରି ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଓ ଜୀତବୃକ୍ଷ ପାଇ ଯେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଭୋଗ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବ,
And houses full of all good things, which thou didst not fill, and wells hewed out which thou didst not hew, vineyards and olive-trees, which thou didst not plant; and thou hast eaten and art satisfied:
12 ସେତେବେଳେ ସାବଧାନ, ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦାସ୍ୟଗୃହରୂପ ମିସର ଦେଶରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ପାସୋର ନାହିଁ।
Then beware that thou do not forget the Lord, who hath brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery.
13 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରିବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ସେବା କରିବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଶପଥ କରିବ।
The Lord thy God shalt thou fear, and him shalt thou serve, and by his name shalt thou swear.
14 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବଗଣର, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀୟ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦେବଗଣର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗାମୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ;
Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the nations which are round about you;
15 ହେଲେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ କ୍ରୋଧ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ହେବ ଓ ସେ ଭୂମଣ୍ଡଳରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିନାଶ କରିବେ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସ୍ୱଗୌରବ ରକ୍ଷଣରେ ଉଦ୍ଯୋଗୀ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଟନ୍ତି।
For the Lord thy God is a watchful God among you: so that the anger of the Lord thy God may not be kindled against thee, and he destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
16 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଃସାରେ ଯେପରି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିଥିଲ, ସେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
17 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କର ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଆଦିଷ୍ଟ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା, ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରମାଣ-ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଧି ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ପାଳନ କରିବ।
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
18 ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଯାହା ନ୍ୟାୟ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା କରିବ; ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହେବ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ ଶତ୍ରୁଙ୍କୁ ଦୂର କରିବା ପାଇଁ,
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the eyes of the Lord; in order that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and take possession of the good land which the Lord hath sworn unto thy fathers,
19 ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ବିଷୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଉତ୍ତମ ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରି ତାହା ଅଧିକାର କରିବ।
To cast out all thy enemies from before thee; as the Lord hath spoken.
20 “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେଉଁ ସକଳ ପ୍ରମାଣ-ବାକ୍ୟ ଓ ବିଧି ଓ ଶାସନ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେସବୁର ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟ କଅଣ?” ଏହା ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ କାଳରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସନ୍ତାନ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପଚାରିଲେ,
When thy son should ask thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?
21 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନକୁ କହିବ, “ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିସରରେ ଫାରୋର ବନ୍ଧାଦାସ ଥିଲୁ; ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବଳବାନ ହସ୍ତ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମିସରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ;
Then shalt thou say unto thy son, We were bondmen unto Pharaoh in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;
22 ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ମିସର ପ୍ରତି, ଫାରୋଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାର ପ୍ରତି, ମହତ୍ ଓ କ୍ଳେଶଦାୟକ ଚିହ୍ନ ଓ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରିୟା ଦେଖାଇଲେ।
And the Lord let come signs and wonders, great and sore, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household, before our eyes;
23 ପୁଣି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ବିଷୟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ, ସେ ଦେଶରେ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପହଞ୍ଚାଇ ତାହା ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମିସରରୁ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣିଲେ।
And us he brought out from there; in order to bring us in, to give us the land which he had sworn unto our fathers.
24 ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆଜି ଦିନ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜୀବିତ ରଖିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିତ୍ୟ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଳନାର୍ଥେ ଏହି ସକଳ ବିଧି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କଲେ।
And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God; that it might be well with us at all times, and that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
25 ଆଉ ଯେବେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ଏହି ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରିବା, ତେବେ ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଧାର୍ମିକତା ହେବ।”
And it shall be accounted righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
