ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ପଞ୍ଚମ ପୁସ୍ତକ 23
1 ଚୂର୍ଣ୍ଣକୋଷ କିଅବା ଛିନ୍ନଲିଙ୍ଗ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
No man whose genitals have been damaged or cut off is allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary.
2 ଜାରଜ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ଦଶ ପୁରୁଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ତାହାର କେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
No one of mixed race is allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary, and none of his descendants may do so either, up to the tenth generation.
3 ଅମ୍ମୋନୀୟ କି ମୋୟାବୀୟ ଲୋକ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ଦଶ ପୁରୁଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଚିରକାଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କର କେହି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants are allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary, up to the tenth generation.
4 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମିସରରୁ ବାହାର ହୋଇ ଆସିବା ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ଅନ୍ନ ଓ ଜଳ ନେଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଥରେ ଭେଟିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଅରାମନହରୟିମ୍ସ୍ଥ ପଥୋର ନିବାସୀ ବିୟୋରର ପୁତ୍ର ବିଲୀୟମ୍କୁ ବେତନ ଦେଲେ।
For they did not come to meet you with food and water on your journey from Egypt, and they hired Balaam, son of Beor, from Pethor in Mesopotamia, to curse you.
5 ତଥାପି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ବିଲୀୟମ୍ର କଥା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ସମ୍ମତ ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବାରୁ ସେହି ଅଭିଶାପକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦରେ ପରିଣତ କଲେ।
But the Lord your God refused to listen to Balaam. The Lord your God turned what was meant to be a curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.
6 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାବଜ୍ଜୀବନ ଚିରକାଳ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଶାନ୍ତି ଓ ମଙ୍ଗଳ ଲୋଡ଼ିବ ନାହିଁ।
Don't arrange a peace treaty with them or help them out as long as you live.
7 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଇଦୋମୀୟ ଲୋକକୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାଇ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମିସରୀୟ ଲୋକକୁ ଘୃଣା କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ଦେଶରେ ପ୍ରବାସୀ ଥିଲ।
Don't look down on an Edomite, for they are your relatives. Don't look down on an Egyptian either, because you lived as foreigners in their country.
8 ସେମାନଙ୍କ ତୃତୀୟ ପୁରୁଷରେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ସମାଜରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବେ।
The third generation of their children are allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary.
9 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଯୁଦ୍ଧଯାତ୍ରା କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ସକଳ ମନ୍ଦ ବିଷୟରୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ।
When you are in an army camp during a war with your enemies, make sure you avoid anything wrong.
10 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଯଦି କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ରାତ୍ରିଘଟିତ କୌଣସି ଅଶୁଚିତାରେ ଅଶୁଚି ହୁଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଛାଉଣି ଭିତରୁ ବାହାରି ଯିବ, ସେ ଛାଉଣି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Any man there who becomes unclean because of a release of semen must leave the camp and remain outside.
11 ମାତ୍ର ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ, ସେ ଜଳରେ ସ୍ନାନ କରିବ ଓ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଅସ୍ତ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଛାଉଣି ଭିତରକୁ ଆସିବ।
Towards the end of the day he must wash himself with water, and at sunset he may return to the camp.
12 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବାହାରକୁ ଯିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଛାଉଣି ବାହାରେ ଏକ ସ୍ଥାନ କରିବ;
Choose a place outside the camp to be used as a toilet.
13 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସାମଗ୍ରୀ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଖଣତି ରଖିବ; ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବାହାରକୁ ବସିବା ସମୟରେ ତଦ୍ଦ୍ୱାରା ଖୋଳିବ ଓ ନିର୍ଗତ ମଳକୁ ପୋତି ପକାଇବ।
You need to have a spade as part of your equipment so that you can dig a hole, and then when you're finished you can cover up your excrement.
14 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଶତ୍ରୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛାଉଣି ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରନ୍ତି, ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଲଜ୍ଜାକର ବିଷୟ ନ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରୁ ବିମୁଖ ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଛାଉଣି ପବିତ୍ର ହେବ।
The Lord your God is present with you in your camp to keep you safe and to defeat your enemies. Your camp must be kept holy, because if he sees anything unclean among you and he will leave you.
15 ଯେଉଁ ଦାସ ଆପଣା ସ୍ୱାମୀ ନିକଟରୁ ପଳାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ତାହାର ସେହି ସ୍ୱାମୀ ହସ୍ତରେ ସମର୍ପଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Don't send a slave back to their master if they have come to you for protection.
16 ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭର କୌଣସି ଏକ ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଆପଣା ଇଚ୍ଛାମତ ମନୋନୀତ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବାସ କରିବ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Let the slave live in your country wherever they want, in whatever town they want. Don't mistreat them.
17 ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର କନ୍ୟାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ବେଶ୍ୟାବୃତ୍ତି କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ କେହି ସଦୋମୀ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
No Israelite women or men are to be cult prostitutes.
18 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ମାନତ ନିମନ୍ତେ କୌଣସି ବେଶ୍ୟାର ବେତନ କିଅବା କୁକ୍କୁରର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଗୃହକୁ ଆଣିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେ ଉଭୟ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଘୃଣ୍ୟ ବିଷୟ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
Don't bring into the house of the Lord your God any money from a prostitute, whether a woman or a man, using it to fulfill a promise to the Lord, for both are offensive to the Lord your God.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ରୂପାର ସୁଧ, ଖାଦ୍ୟସାମଗ୍ରୀର ସୁଧ, କିଅବା ଯେକୌଣସି ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ସୁଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଦିଆଯାଏ, ତହିଁର ସୁଧ ପାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ଋଣ ଦେବ ନାହିଁ।
Don't charge a fellow Israelite interest on money, food, or any other kind of loan.
20 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁଧ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବିଦେଶୀକୁ ଋଣ ଦେଇ ପାର; ମାତ୍ର ସୁଧ ପାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ଋଣ ଦେବ ନାହିଁ; ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଅଛ, ସେହି ଦେଶରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତକୃତ ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
You may charge a foreigner interest, but not an Israelite, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you do in the country that you are going in to occupy.
21 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାନତ ମନାସିଲେ, ତାହା ଦେବାକୁ ବିଳମ୍ବ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାପ ହେବ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅବଶ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ତାହା ଆଦାୟ କରିବେ।
If you make a promise to the Lord your God, don't be slow in keeping it, because he will definitely demand that you fulfill it and you will be guilty of sin if you don't.
22 ମାତ୍ର ଯେବେ ମାନତ ନ କର, ତେବେ ତହିଁରେ ପାପ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।
If you don't make such promises then you won't be guilty of sin.
23 ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଓଷ୍ଠରୁ ନିର୍ଗତ ହୋଇଅଛି, ତାହା କରିବାକୁ ମନୋଯୋଗ କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରି ଯେରୂପ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାଦତ୍ତ ଉପହାର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ମାନତ କରିଅଛ, ତଦନୁସାରେ କରିବ।
But make sure to carry out what you've said to the Lord your God, because it was you who freely chose to make such a promise.
24 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଗଲେ, ସ୍ଵେଚ୍ଛାନୁସାରେ ଆପଣା ତୃପ୍ତି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଫଳ ଭୋଜନ କରି ପାରିବ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପାତ୍ରରେ କିଛି ରଖିବ ନାହିଁ।
When you walk through your neighbor's vineyard, you can eat as many grapes as you want, but you must not collect any to take with you.
25 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ବଢ଼ନ୍ତା ଶସ୍ୟକ୍ଷେତ୍ରକୁ ଗଲେ, ଆପଣା ହାତରେ ଶିଷା ଛିଣ୍ଡାଇ ଖାଇ ପାରିବ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀର ବଢ଼ନ୍ତା ଶସ୍ୟରେ ଦାଆ ଚଳାଇବ ନାହିଁ।
When you walk through your neighbor's grainfield, you may pick the ears of grain with your hand, but you must not use a sickle to harvest it.
