ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ପଞ୍ଚମ ପୁସ୍ତକ 15
1 ପ୍ରତି ସାତ ବର୍ଷର ଶେଷରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଋଣ କ୍ଷମା କରିବ।
'At the end of seven years thou dost make a release,
2 ଋଣକ୍ଷମାର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଏହି ଯେ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ମହାଜନ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଋଣ ଦେଇଥାଏ, ତାହା ସେ କ୍ଷମା କରିବ; ସେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିବାସୀ ଓ ଆପଣା ଭାଇଠାରୁ ଋଣ ଆଦାୟ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ଋଣକ୍ଷମାର ଘୋଷଣା ହୋଇଅଛି।
and this [is] the matter of the release: Every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he doth lift up against his neighbour, he doth not exact of his neighbour and of his brother, but hath proclaimed a release to Jehovah;
3 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବିଦେଶୀଠାରୁ ତାହା ଆଦାୟ କରି ପାରିବ; ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭାଇଠାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଯାହା କିଛି ଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭର ହସ୍ତ ତାହା କ୍ଷମା କରିବ।
of the stranger thou mayest exact, and that which is thine with thy brother doth thy hand release;
4 ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କେହି ଦରିଦ୍ର ହେବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ଆଜି ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ପାଳିବାକୁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଉଅଛି, ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେବଳ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରବ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ଶୁଣିବ;
only when there is no needy one with thee, for Jehovah doth greatly bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee — an inheritance to possess it.
5 ତେବେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଅଧିକାର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେଠାରେ ସେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
'Only, if thou dost diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this command which I am commanding thee to-day,
6 ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଋଣ ଦେବ, ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଋଣ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନେକ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରିବ, ମାତ୍ର ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଉପରେ କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞାନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
for Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee as He hath spoken to thee; and thou hast lent [to] many nations, and thou hast not borrowed; and thou hast ruled over many nations, and over thee they do not rule.
7 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଦେବେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେହି ଦେଶସ୍ଥିତ କୌଣସି ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭାଇମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ କେହି ଦରିଦ୍ର ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ହୃଦୟ କଠିନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଆପଣା ଦରିଦ୍ର ଭାଇ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ରୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବ ନାହିଁ;
'When there is with thee any needy one of one of thy brethren, in one of thy cities, in thy land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;
8 ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ପ୍ରତି ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବ, ପୁଣି ଯାହା ସେ ଚାହେଁ, ତାହାର ପ୍ରୟୋଜନାନୁସାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ରୂପେ ତାହାକୁ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଋଣ ଦେବ।
for thou dost certainly open thy hand to him, and dost certainly lend him sufficient for his lack which he lacketh.
9 “ସପ୍ତମ ବର୍ଷ, ଋଣକ୍ଷମାର ବର୍ଷ ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ,” ଏହା କହି ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ହୃଦୟରେ ମନ୍ଦ ଚିନ୍ତା ନ ହୁଏ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଭାଇ ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭର କୁଦୃଷ୍ଟି ହେବା ସକାଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ କିଛି ନ ଦିଅ, ଏ ବିଷୟରେ ସାବଧାନ ହୁଅ; କାରଣ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଡାକ ପକାଇଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାପ ହେବ।
'Take heed to thee lest there be a word in thy heart — worthless, saying, Near [is] the seventh year, the year of release; and thine eye is evil against thy needy brother, and thou dost not give to him, and he hath called concerning thee unto Jehovah, and it hath been in thee sin;
10 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଦେବ, ପୁଣି ତାହାକୁ ଦେବା ବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ହୃଦୟ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେହି କର୍ମ ସକାଶୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭର ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମରେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେଉଁ ଯେଉଁ ବିଷୟରେ ହାତ ଦିଅ, ସେସବୁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
thou dost certainly give to him, and thy heart is not sad in thy giving to him, for because of this thing doth Jehovah thy God bless thee in all thy works, and in every putting forth of thy hand;
11 କାରଣ ଦେଶରୁ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନେ କେବେ ହେଁ ଲୋପ ପାଇବେ ନାହିଁ; ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇ କହୁଅଛି, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆପଣା ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଭାଇ ପ୍ରତି, ଆପଣା ଦୁଃଖୀ ପ୍ରତି ଓ ଆପଣା ଦୀନହୀନ ପ୍ରତି ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତ ମୁକ୍ତ କରିବ।
because the needy one doth not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding thee, saying, Thou dost certainly open thy hand to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy one, in thy land.
12 ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଭାଇ, କୌଣସି ଏବ୍ରୀୟ ପୁରୁଷ, କି ଏବ୍ରୀୟା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ବିକାଯାଏ ଓ ଛଅ ବର୍ଷ ତୁମ୍ଭର ସେବା କରେ; ତେବେ ସପ୍ତମ ବର୍ଷରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ଆପଣା ନିକଟରୁ ବିଦାୟ କରିବ।
'When thy brother is sold to thee, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he hath served thee six years — then in the seventh year thou dost send him away free from thee.
13 ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ଆପଣା ନିକଟରୁ ବିଦାୟ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଖାଲି ହାତରେ ଯିବାକୁ ଦେବ ନାହିଁ।
And when thou dost send him away free from thee, thou dost not send him away empty;
14 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପଲରୁ, ଆପଣା ଖଳାରୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଯନ୍ତ୍ରରୁ ତାହାକୁ ଉଦାର ଭାବରେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଦାନ ଦେବ; ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା ଅନୁସାରେ ତାହାକୁ ଦାନ କରିବ।”
thou dost certainly encircle him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy wine-vat; [of] that which Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee thou dost give to him,
15 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିବ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମିସର ଦେଶରେ ବନ୍ଧାଦାସ ହୋଇଥିଲ, ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କଲେ; ଏନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଉଅଛି।
and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God doth ransom thee; therefore I am commanding thee this thing to-day.
16 ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ସୁଖରେ ରହିବାରୁ ସେ ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରିବାରକୁ ସ୍ନେହ କରି କହେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯିବି ନାହିଁ;”
'And it hath been, when he saith unto thee, I go not out from thee — because he hath loved thee, and thy house, because [it is] good for him with thee —
17 ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏକ ବିନ୍ଧଣୀ ନେଇ କବାଟରେ ତାହାର କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିନ୍ଧିବ, ତହିଁରେ ସେ ସଦାସର୍ବଦା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦାସ ହୋଇ ରହିବ। ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଦାସୀ ପ୍ରତି ମଧ୍ୟ ତଦ୍ରୂପ କରିବ।
then thou hast taken the awl, and hast put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he hath been to thee a servant age-during; and also to thy handmaid thou dost do so.
18 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ମୁକ୍ତ କରି ବିଦାୟ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ କଠିନ ବୋଧ ନ ହେଉ; କାରଣ ସେ ଛଅ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଏକ ବେତନଜୀବୀର ଦ୍ୱିଗୁଣ ବେତନର ଦାସ୍ୟକର୍ମ କରିଅଛି; ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭର ସକଳ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
'It is not hard in thine eyes, in thy sending him away free from thee; for the double of the hire of an hireling he hath served thee six years, and Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee in all that thou dost.
19 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୋରୁପଲରୁ ଓ ମେଷପଲରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ପୁଂପଶୁକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପବିତ୍ର କରିବ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୋରୁର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ଦ୍ୱାରା କୌଣସି କର୍ମ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଆପଣା ମେଷପଲର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତର ଲୋମ ଛେଦ କରିବ ନାହିଁ,
'Every firstling that is born in thy herd and in thy flock — the male thou dost sanctify to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not work with the firstling of thine ox, nor shear the firstling of thy flock;
20 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବେ, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରିବାର ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ଷ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ତାହା ଭୋଜନ କରିବ।
before Jehovah thy God thou dost eat it year by year, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, thou and thy house.
21 ଯଦି ତହିଁରେ କୌଣସି ଖୁଣ ଥାଏ, ସେହି ପଶୁ ଯଦି ଛୋଟା କି ଅନ୍ଧ କି ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରକାର ମନ୍ଦଖୁଣଯୁକ୍ତ ଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ତାହାକୁ ବଳିଦାନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
'And when there is in it a blemish, lame, or blind, any evil blemish, thou dost not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God;
22 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାହା ଭୋଜନ କରିବ; ଶୁଚି କି ଅଶୁଚି ଲୋକ ସମାନ ରୂପେ କୃଷ୍ଣସାର ଓ ହରିଣର ମାଂସ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ତାହା ଭୋଜନ କରିବେ।
within thy gates thou dost eat it, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe, and as the hart.
23 କେବଳ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହାର ରକ୍ତ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜଳ ପରି ତାହା ଭୂମିରେ ଢାଳି ଦେବ।
Only, its blood thou dost not eat; on the earth thou dost pour it as water.
