ମୋଶାଙ୍କ ଲିଖିତ ପଞ୍ଚମ ପୁସ୍ତକ 14
1 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ ଅଟ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୃତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଶରୀରରେ କଟାକଟି କରିବ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଭ୍ରୂଲତାର ମଧ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳ କ୍ଷୌର କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Ye [are] the children of the LORD your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକ ଅଟ, ପୁଣି ପୃଥିବୀସ୍ଥ ସମସ୍ତ ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆପଣାର ସଞ୍ଚିତ ଧନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ମନୋନୀତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
For thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that [are] upon the earth.
3 ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ଘୃଣାଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.
4 ଏହି ସକଳ ପଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ଯଥା,
These [are] the beasts which ye shall eat: the ox, the sheep, and the goat,
5 ଗୋରୁ, ମେଷ, ଛେଳି, ହରିଣ, କୃଷ୍ଣସାର ମୃଗ, ବନଗୋରୁ, ବନଛାଗ, ଗବୟ, ବାହୁଟିଆ ହରିଣ ଓ ଚମୂରୁ,
The hart, and the roebuck, and the fallow deer, and the wild goat, and the pygarg, and the wild ox, and the chamois.
6 ପଶୁଗଣ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଯେତେ ପଶୁ ବିଭକ୍ତ-ଖୁରା, ଦ୍ୱିଖଣ୍ଡ-ଖୁରାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଓ ପାକୁଳି କରନ୍ତି, ସେସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ।
And every beast that parteth the hoof, and cleaveth the cleft into two claws, [and] cheweth the cud among the beasts, that ye shall eat.
7 ମାତ୍ର ଯେଉଁମାନେ ପାକୁଳି କରନ୍ତି, ଅବା ଦ୍ୱିଖଣ୍ଡ-ଖୁରାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଅଟନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଏହିସବୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଯଥା, ଓଟ, ଠେକୁଆ ଓ ଶାଫନ୍ ପଶୁ, କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ପାକୁଳି କରନ୍ତି, ମାତ୍ର ଦ୍ୱିଖଣ୍ଡ-ଖୁରାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ନୁହନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଶୁଚି ଅଟନ୍ତି;
Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; [as] the camel, and the hare, and the coney: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; [therefore] they [are] unclean unto you.
8 ପୁଣି ଶୂକର, ଯେହେତୁ ସେ ବିଭକ୍ତ ଖୁରାବିଶିଷ୍ଟ, ମାତ୍ର ପାକୁଳି କରେ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅଶୁଚି ଅଟେ; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶବ ସ୍ପର୍ଶ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it [is] unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.
9 ଜଳଜନ୍ତୁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଏହିସବୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ; ଯାହାର ଡେଣା ଓ କାତି ଅଛି, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ;
These ye shall eat of all that [are] in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 ପୁଣି ଯାହାର ଡେଣା ଓ କାତି ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଶୁଚି ଅଟେ।
And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it [is] unclean unto you.
11 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସବୁ ପ୍ରକାର ଶୁଚି ପକ୍ଷୀ ଭୋଜନ କରିପାର,
[Of] all clean birds ye shall eat.
12 ମାତ୍ର ଏହିସବୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ, ଯଥା, ଉତ୍କ୍ରୋଶ ଓ ଶାଗୁଣା ଓ ବାଜ ଜାତୀୟ ପକ୍ଷୀ;
But these [are they] of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
13 ବାଜପକ୍ଷୀ ଓ ଚିଲ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜାତି ଅନୁସାରେ ବାଜ
And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind,
14 ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜାତି ଅନୁସାରେ ସମସ୍ତ ଡାମରା କାଉ;
And every raven after his kind,
15 ପୁଣି ଉଷ୍ଟ୍ରପକ୍ଷୀ, ତାମସ ପକ୍ଷୀ (ପେଚା), ସମୁଦ୍ର ଚିଲ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜାତି ଅନୁସାରେ ଛଞ୍ଚାଣ;
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
16 ଆଉ କୋଷପକ୍ଷୀ ଓ ବଗ ଓ ଦୀର୍ଘ-ଗଳ ହଂସ;
The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,
17 ପାଣିଭେଳା ଓ ଶାଗୁଣା ଓ ପାଣିକୁଆ
And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant,
18 ଓ ବଗ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ଜାତି ଅନୁସାରେ କଙ୍କ, ଟିଟ୍ଟିଭ ଓ ବାଦୁଢ଼ି;
And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
19 ପୁଣି ଗମନକାରୀ ପକ୍ଷବାନ ଜନ୍ତୁସକଳ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅଶୁଚି ଅଟନ୍ତି; ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
And every creeping thing that flieth [is] unclean unto you: they shall not be eaten.
20 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତ ଶୁଚି ପକ୍ଷୀକୁୁ ଭୋଜନ କରି ପାରିବ।
[But of] all clean fowls ye may eat.
21 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସ୍ୱୟଂମୃତ କୌଣସି ପ୍ରାଣୀର ମାଂସ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନଗରଦ୍ୱାରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ କୌଣସି ବିଦେଶୀକୁ ତାହା ଭୋଜନାର୍ଥେ ଦେଇ ପାର; ଅବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ କୌଣସି ବିଦେଶୀ ନିକଟରେ ତାହା ବିକ୍ରୟ କରିପାର; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକ ଅଟ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଛାଗବତ୍ସକୁ ତାହାର ମାତାର ଦୁଗ୍ଧରେ ପାକ କରିବ ନାହିଁ।
Ye shall not eat [of] any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that [is] in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou [art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
22 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ଷ ଆପଣା କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ବୀଜର ଦଶମାଂଶ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପୃଥକ କରିବ।
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 ପୁଣି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା ନାମ ବାସ କରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବେ, ସେହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଶସ୍ୟର, ଆପଣା ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସର ଓ ଆପଣା ତୈଳର ଦଶମାଂଶ ଓ ଆପଣା ଗୋମେଷାଦି ପଲର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଭୋଜନ କରିବ; ଏହିରୂପେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ସର୍ବଦା ଭୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇବ।
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
24 ଆଉ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଯଦି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣା ନାମ ସ୍ଥାପନାର୍ଥେ ଯେଉଁ ସ୍ଥାନ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବେ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଦୂର ହୁଏ, ତେଣୁ ସେହି ପଥ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଦୀର୍ଘ ହେବା ସକାଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ବୋହି ନେବା ପାଇଁ ଅସମର୍ଥ ହୁଅ;
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; [or] if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
25 ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଟଙ୍କା କରି ସେହି ଟଙ୍କା ବାନ୍ଧି ଆପଣା ହାତରେ ନେଇ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ମନୋନୀତ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯିବ।
Then shalt thou turn [it] into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:
26 ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଣ ଯାହା ବାଞ୍ଛା କରେ, ଗୋରୁ, କି ମେଷ, କି ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ, କି ମଦ୍ୟ, କିଅବା ଯାହା କିଛି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରାଣ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଚାହେଁ, ତହିଁ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଟଙ୍କା ଦେବ, ପୁଣି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେଠାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଭୋଜନ କରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରିବାର ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବ;
And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ନଗରଦ୍ୱାରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଲେବୀୟ ଲୋକକୁ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବ ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗରେ କୌଣସି ଅଂଶ କି ଅଧିକାର ପାଇ ନାହିଁ।
And the Levite that [is] within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 ପ୍ରତି ତୃତୀୟ ବର୍ଷର ଶେଷରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ବର୍ଷରେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ଆପଣା ଶସ୍ୟାଦିର ସମସ୍ତ ଦଶମାଂଶ ବାହାର କରି ଆଣି ଆପଣା ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାର ଭିତରେ ସଞ୍ଚୟ କରି ରଖିବ;
At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay [it] up within thy gates:
29 ଆଉ ଲେବୀୟ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭ ସଙ୍ଗରେ କୌଣସି ଅଂଶ କି ଅଧିକାର ନ ପାଇବାରୁ ସେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନଗର-ଦ୍ୱାରରେ ଥିବା ବିଦେଶୀ ଓ ପିତୃହୀନ ଓ ବିଧବା, ଏମାନେ ଆସି ଭୋଜନ କରି ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବେ; ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ତୁମ୍ଭ ହସ୍ତକୃତ ସମସ୍ତ କର୍ମରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରିବେ।
And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee, ) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which [are] within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
