କଲସୀୟ 2
1 କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଓ ଲାଅଦିକିଆର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ, ପୁଣି, ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ମୋହର ମୁଖ ଦେଖି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ସେ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଯେ କେତେ ପ୍ରାଣପଣ କରିଥାଏ, ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣ ବୋଲି ମୋହର ଇଚ୍ଛା;
to will/desire for you to know how great? fight to have/be (above/for *N(k)O*) you and the/this/who in/on/among Laodicea and just as/how much no to see: see the/this/who face me in/on/among flesh
2 ମୋହର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଏହି, ଯେପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହୃଦୟ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ ହୁଏ, ପୁଣି, ସେମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନର ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନିଶ୍ଚୟତାରୂପ ସମସ୍ତ ଧନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିଗୂଢ଼ ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପରସ୍ପର ପ୍ରେମରେ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।

3 ସେହି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ବୁଦ୍ଧିରୂପ ସମସ୍ତ ଧନ ନିହିତ ଅଛି।

4 କେହି ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାକ୍ଚାତୁରି ଦ୍ୱାରା ନ ଭୁଲାଏ, ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ ଏହା କହୁଅଛି।

5 କାରଣ ଯଦ୍ୟପି ମୁଁ ଶରୀରରେ ଅନୁପସ୍ଥିତ, ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ମୋହର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଥାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସୁଗଠନ ଓ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସର ଦୃଢ଼ତା ଦେଖି ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଅଛି।

6 ଅତଏବ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ବୋଲି ଯେପରି ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଅଛ, ତଦନୁସାରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଆଚରଣ କର;

7 ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ବଦ୍ଧମୂଳ ଓ ଗୁନ୍ଥା ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁସାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସରେ ନିଷ୍ଠାବାନ ହୋଇ ଅଧିକରୁ ଅଧିକ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଦିଅ।

8 ସାବଧାନ, କାଳେ କେହି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷାର ଅସଙ୍ଗତ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ପରମ୍ପରାଗତ ଓ ଜଗତର ମୌଳିକ ଶିକ୍ଷାନୁଯାୟୀ ଦର୍ଶନବିଦ୍ୟା ଓ ନିରର୍ଥକ ପ୍ରତାରଣା ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବନ୍ଦୀ କରିନିଏ;

9 କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠାରେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଈଶ୍ବରତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଦେହବନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ବାସ କରେ,

11 ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶାରୀରିକ ସ୍ୱଭାବ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଅହସ୍ତକୃତ ସୁନ୍ନତରେ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟୀୟ ସୁନ୍ନତରେ ସୁନ୍ନତ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଅଛ;

12 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବାପ୍ତିସ୍ମରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସମାଧିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ, ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଉଠାଇଲେ, ତାହାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟସାଧକ ଶକ୍ତିରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉତ୍ଥାପିତ ହୋଇଅଛ।

13 ଅପରାଧରେ ଓ ଶାରୀରିକ ଅସୁନ୍ନତ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ମୃତ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଈଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜୀବିତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ ତ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଅପରାଧ କ୍ଷମା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି,

18 ପୁଣି, କେହି ନମ୍ରତା ଓ ଦୂତମାନଙ୍କ ପୂଜାରେ ସନ୍ତୋଷ ପାଇ ଦର୍ଶନରେ ଦେଖିଥିବା ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରି ଓ ଆପଣା ସାଂସାରିକ ମନ ଦ୍ୱାରା ବୃଥା ଗର୍ବିତ ହୋଇ ମସ୍ତକ ସ୍ୱରୂପ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନ ଧରି ପୁରସ୍କାରରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ନ କରୁ;

19 ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ସମସ୍ତ ଶରୀର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ସନ୍ଧି ଓ ଶିରା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉପକାର ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ପରସ୍ପର ସହିତ ସୁସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ଅଟେ ଏବଂ ଈଶ୍ବରଦତ୍ତ ବୃଦ୍ଧିରେ ବୃଦ୍ଧିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଉଅଛି।

20 ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଜଗତର ମୌଳିକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରତି ମୃତ ହୋଇଅଛ,

21 ତେବେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ବିଧି ଓ ଶିକ୍ଷାନୁସାରେ “ଧର ନାହିଁ, ଖାଅ ନାହିଁ ବା ଛୁଅଁ ନାହିଁ, ସାଂସାରିକ ଲୋକ ପରି ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ବିଧିବିଧାନର କାହିଁକି ବଶୀଭୂତ ହେଉଅଛ?”

22 ଏହିସବୁ ବସ୍ତୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର ଦ୍ୱାରା କ୍ଷୟ ପାଏ।

23 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାର ଶିକ୍ଷା ତ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛା-ଉପାସନା, ନମ୍ରତା ଏବଂ ଶରୀର ପ୍ରତି କଠୋର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜ୍ଞାନର ନାମ ପାଇଅଛି, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେଥିର ମୂଲ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ, ତଦ୍ୱାରା କେବଳ ଶାରୀରିକ ଭାବର ତୃପ୍ତି ହୁଏ।
