ଆମୋଷ 7
1 ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏରୂପ ଦେଖାଇଲେ; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ବିଳମ୍ବରେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ତୃଣ ଅଙ୍କୁରିବା ଆରମ୍ଭରେ ସେ ପଙ୍ଗପାଳମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଢ଼ିଲେ ଓ ଦେଖ, ରାଜାଙ୍କ ତୃଣ କଟାଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେହି ବିଳମ୍ବରେ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ତୃଣ ବଢ଼ୁଥିଲା।
The Lord Jehovah showed me this vision: Behold, he formed locusts In the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; Behold, it was the latter growth after the king's mowing.
2 ପୁଣି, ସେହି ପଙ୍ଗପାଳମାନେ ଦେଶର ତୃଣ ଖାଇବାର ଶେଷ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, କ୍ଷମା କର! ଯାକୁବ କିପରି ଠିଆ ହେବ? କାରଣ ସେ ସାନ।”
And when they had devoured the grass of the land, Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, forgive, I beseech thee! How shall Jacob stand? For he is small!
3 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେଲେ; “ଏହା ହେବ ନାହିଁ,” ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
Jehovah repented of this; It shall not be, said Jehovah.
4 ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଏହିରୂପେ ଦେଖାଇଲେ; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଗ୍ନି ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିବାଦ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ତାହା ମହାସାଗରକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା, ଆଉ ଭୂମିକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିଥାʼନ୍ତା।
The Lord Jehovah also showed me this vision: Behold, the Lord Jehovah commanded the fire to execute judgment; And it devoured the great deep, And it devoured the fields.
5 ଏପରି ସମୟରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ, ବିନୟ କରେ, କ୍ଷାନ୍ତ ହୁଅ; ଯାକୁବ କିପରି ଠିଆ ହେବ? କାରଣ ସେ ସାନ।”
Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, desist, I beseech thee! How shall Jacob stand? For he is small!
6 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସେ ବିଷୟରେ ଦୁଃଖିତ ହେଲେ; “ତାହା ମଧ୍ୟ ହେବ ନାହିଁ,” ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି।
Jehovah repented of this; This also shall not be, said the Lord Jehovah.
7 ସେ ମୋତେ ଏରୂପ ଦେଖାଇଲେ; ଆଉ ଦେଖ, ପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ହସ୍ତରେ ଓଳମ ଘେନି ଓଳମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନିର୍ମିତ ଏକ କାନ୍ଥ ନିକଟରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।
He also showed me this vision: Behold, the Lord stood upon a wall, built with a plumb-line, And in his hand was a plumb-line;
8 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ପଚାରିଲେ, “ହେ ଆମୋଷ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଦେଖୁଅଛ?” ତହିଁରେ ମୁଁ କହିଲି, “ଗୋଟିଏ ଓଳମ।” ତେବେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଲୋକ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଓଳମ ପକାଇବା; ଆମ୍ଭେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆଉ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ି ଯିବା ନାହିଁ;
And Jehovah said to me, What seest thou, Amos? And I said, A plumb-line. And the Lord said, Behold I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not spare them any more.
9 ପୁଣି, ଇସ୍ହାକର ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀସକଳ ଧ୍ୱଂସିତ ହେବ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ଧର୍ମଧାମସକଳ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବ; ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଖଡ୍ଗ ଘେନି ଯାରବୀୟାମର ବଂଶ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଉଠିବା।”
The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste, And I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
10 ଯେତେବେଳେ ବେଥେଲ୍ର ଯାଜକ ଅମତ୍ସୀୟ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରାଜା ଯାରବୀୟାମଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଏହି କଥା କହି ପଠାଇଲା, “ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବଂଶ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଆମୋଷ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଦେଶ ତାଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟସବୁ ସହି ପାରୁ ନାହିଁ।
Then sent Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, To Jeroboam, the king of Israel, and said: Amos conspireth against thee in the midst of the house of Israel; The land is not able to bear all his words.
11 କାରଣ ଆମୋଷ ଏରୂପ କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ‘ଯାରବୀୟାମ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ହତ ହେବ ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆପଣା ନିଜ ଦେଶରୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହେବ।’”
For thus hath Amos said: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led captive from their own land.
12 ଆହୁରି, ଅମତ୍ସୀୟ ଆମୋଷଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ହେ ଦର୍ଶକ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାଅ, ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶକୁ ପଳାଅ, ସେଠାରେ ଭୋଜନ କର ଓ ସେଠାରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର;
And Amaziah said to Amos, Go, thou seer! flee into the land of Judah! There eat thy bread, and there prophesy!
13 ମାତ୍ର ବେଥେଲ୍ରେ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆଉ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର ନାହିଁ; କାରଣ ତାହା ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ ଓ ତାହା ରାଜକୀୟ ଗୃହ ଅଟେ।”
But prophesy no more at Bethel, For it is the king's sanctuary, And it is the king's abode.
14 ତହିଁରେ ଆମୋଷ ଉତ୍ତର କରି ଅମତ୍ସୀୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ନ ଥିଲି, କିଅବା କୌଣସି ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ନ ଥିଲି; ମାତ୍ର ମୁଁ ଗୋପାଳକ ଓ ଡିମ୍ବିରି ବୃକ୍ଷର କୃଷକ ଥିଲି;
Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah: I was no prophet, nor the son of a prophet; I was a shepherd, and a gatherer of sycamore fruit.
15 ପୁଣି, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପଲର ପଶ୍ଚାଦ୍ଗମନରୁ ମୋତେ ନେଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ କହିଲେ, ‘ଯାଅ, ଆମ୍ଭର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଲୋକ ନିକଟରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର।’
And Jehovah took me from the flock; And Jehovah said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel!
16 ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଏବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବାକ୍ୟ ଶୁଣ; ତୁମ୍ଭେ କହୁଅଛ, ‘ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବାକ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଚାର କର ନାହିଁ ଓ ଇସ୍ହାକ ବଂଶ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବାକ୍ୟ ବର୍ଷାଅ ନାହିଁ।’
Now, therefore, hear the word of Jehovah: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, And speak no word against the house of Isaac!
17 ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି; ‘ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାର୍ଯ୍ୟା ନଗର ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବେଶ୍ୟା ହେବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୁତ୍ରକନ୍ୟାଗଣ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ପତିତ ହେବେ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭୂମି ପରିମାପକ ଦଉଡ଼ି ଦ୍ୱାରା ବିଭାଗ କରାଯିବ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜେ ଅଶୁଚି ଦେଶରେ ମରିବ, ଆଉ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଆପଣା ଦେଶରୁ ନିର୍ବାସିତ ହେବ।’”
Therefore thus saith Jehovah: “Thy wife shall be put to shame in the city, And thy sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; Thy land shall be divided by the line, And thou shalt die in a polluted land, And Israel shall surely be led captive from his own land.”
