ପ୍ରେରିତ 9
1 କିନ୍ତୁ ଶାଉଲ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଭୟ ଓ ପ୍ରାଣନାଶର କଥା କହି ମହାଯାଜକଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ,
But Saul, still breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, came to the high priest,
2 ପୁଣି, ଏହି ମାର୍ଗର ଯେକୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ କି ସ୍ତ୍ରୀର ଦେଖା ପାଆନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେପରି ବାନ୍ଧି ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଆଣି ପାରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିସକାଶେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ସମସ୍ତ ସମାଜଗୃହ ନିକଟକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପତ୍ର ମାଗିଲେ।
and petitioned for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus; that, if he found any of that way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3 ପରେ ସେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ଦମ୍ମେଶକର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ ଅକସ୍ମାତ୍ ଆକାଶରୁ ଆଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଚାରିଆଡ଼େ ଚମକି ଉଠିଲା।
And as he was proceedings on his journey, and was come near to Damascus, on a sudden, a light from heaven shone around him;
4 ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିଯାଇ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଉକ୍ତ ଏହି ବାଣୀ ଶୁଣିଲେ, “ହେ ଶାଉଲ, ହେ ଶାଉଲ କାହିଁକି ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ତାଡ଼ନା କରୁଅଛ?”
and he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
5 ସେ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆପଣ କିଏ? ଆଉ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ଯାହାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଡ଼ନା କରୁଅଛ, ଆମ୍ଭେ ସେହି ଯୀଶୁ।”
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute:
6 “କିନ୍ତୁ ଉଠ, ନଗରରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କର, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କଅଣ କରିବାକୁ ହେବ, ତାହା କୁହାଯିବ।”
but arise, and go into the city, and you shall be told what you must do.
7 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ସେହି ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣି କାହାରିକୁ ନ ଦେଖିବାରୁ ଅବାକ୍ ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ।
And the men who traveled with him, stood astonished; hearing, indeed, the voice, but seeing no one.
8 ପୁଣି, ଶାଉଲ ଭୂମିରୁ ଉଠି ଯେତେବେଳେ ଆପଣା ଆଖି ଫିଟାଇଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ କିଛି ଦେଖି ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ। ଏଣୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ହାତ ଧରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦମ୍ମେଶକ ସହରକୁ ଘେନିଗଲେ।
Then Saul arose from the earth; and, though his eyes were open, he saw no man; but they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus.
9 ଆଉ, ସେ ତିନି ଦିନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିହୀନ ହୋଇ ରହିଲେ, ପୁଣି, କିଛି ଖାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ କି ପିଇଲେ ନାହିଁ।
And he was three days without sight, and did neither eat nor drink.
10 ଦମ୍ମେଶକରେ ହନନୀୟ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ୟ ଥିଲେ; ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଇ କହିଲେ, “ହନନୀୟ।” ସେ କହିଲେ, ହେ ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଆଜ୍ଞା କରିବା ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus, whose name was Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.
11 ସେଥିରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଉଠ, ସଳଖ ନାମକ ପଥକୁ ଯାଇ ଯିହୂଦାର ଗୃହରେ ତାର୍ଷ ସହରର ଶାଉଲ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିର ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କର; କାରଣ ଦେଖ, ସେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଅଛି;
And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus, whose name is Saul; for, behold, he is praying to me;
12 ଆଉ, ସେ ଯେପରି ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଏ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ହନନୀୟ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଆସି ତାହା ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି ସେ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଅଛି।”
and he has seen in a vision, a man whose name is Ananias, coming in and laying his hand upon him, that he might recover his sight.
13 କିନ୍ତୁ ହନନୀୟ ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଏହି ଲୋକ ଯେ କେତେ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାର କରିଅଛି, ତାହା ମୁଁ ଅନେକଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ଲୋକ ବିଷୟରେ ଶୁଣିଅଛି।
Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many concerning this man, how much evil he has done to thy saints at Jerusalem;
14 ଆଉ, ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଯେତେ ଲୋକ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରନ୍ତି, ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାନ୍ଧିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ କ୍ଷମତା ପାଇଅଛି।
and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all that invoke thy name.
15 କିନ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରଭୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯାଅ; କାରଣ ସେ ଅଣଯିହୁଦୀ, ରାଜା ଓ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ବହନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆମ୍ଭର ଜଣେ ମନୋନୀତ ପାତ୍ର ଅଟେ;
But the Lord said to him, Go your way; for this man is to me a chosen vessel, to bear my name before nations, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 ଯେଣୁ ଆମ୍ଭର ନାମ ସକାଶେ ତାହାକୁ ଯେ କେତେ ଦୁଃଖଭୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ହେବ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେ ତାହାକୁ ଜଣାଇବା।”
for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name.
17 ସେଥିରେ ହନନୀୟ ପ୍ରସ୍ଥାନ କରି ସେହି ଗୃହରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ତାହାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ହସ୍ତାର୍ପଣ କରି କହିଲେ, ଶାଉଲ ଭାଇ, ପ୍ରଭୁ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍, ଯେଉଁ ଯୀଶୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆସୁଥିବା ପଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦର୍ଶନ ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୁଅ ଓ ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୁଅ, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ମୋତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
Then Ananias went, and entered into the house; and laying his hands upon him, he said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, who appeared to you on the way, as you came, has sent me; that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
18 ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଆଖିରୁ କାତି ପରି କଅଣ ଖସିପଡ଼ିଲା ଓ ସେ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଲେ; ପୁଣି, ସେ ଉଠି ବାପ୍ତିଜିତ ହେଲେ,
And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales; and he recovered his sight, and arose, and was immersed:
19 ଆଉ ସେ ଭୋଜନ କରି ବଳ ପାଇଲେ। ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକରେ ଥିବା ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କେତେକ ଦିନ ରହିଲେ;
and having received food, he was strengthened, and for several days remained with the disciples at Damascus.
20 ପୁଣି, ଯୀଶୁ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପୁତ୍ର, ଏହା ସେ ଅବିଳମ୍ବରେ ସମାଜଗୃହ ସମୂହରେ ଘୋଷଣା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.
21 ଆଉ, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଆଚମ୍ଭିତ ହୋଇ କହିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ଏହି ନାମ ଧରି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ କରୁଥିଲା, ଆଉ ଯେପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ବାନ୍ଧି ପ୍ରଧାନ ଯାଜକମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଘେନିଯାଇପାରେ, ସେହି ଅଭିପ୍ରାୟରେ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଆସିଥିଲା, ଏ କି ସେହି ନୁହେଁ?
And all that heard him were astonished, and said, Is not this he who, in Jerusalem, spread desolation among them who called on his name; and came hither on purpose to carry such bound to the chief priests?
22 କିନ୍ତୁ, ଶାଉଲ ଅଧିକତର ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ହୋଇ ଉଠିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଏ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ, ଏହା ପ୍ରମାଣ କରି ଦମ୍ମେଶକନିବାସୀ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିରୁତ୍ତର କରିଦେଉଥିଲେ।
But Saul became stronger, and confounded the Jews that dwelt at Damascus, evincing that this is the Messiah.
23 ଅନେକ ଦିନ ଗତ ହେଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକତ୍ର ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା କଲେ;
And, after many days, the Jews conspired to kill him:
24 କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଚକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର କର୍ଣ୍ଣଗୋଚର ହେଲା। ଆଉ, ସେମାନେ ଯେପରି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିପାରନ୍ତି, ଏଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ଦିବାରାତ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟ ନଗରଦ୍ୱାରସବୁ ଜଗି ରହିଲେ,
but their design was made known to Saul; and they watched the gates, day and night, to murder him.
25 କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହାଙ୍କର ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ରାତ୍ରିକାଳରେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଘେନି ଗୋଟିଏ ଟୋକେଇରେ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଦେଇ ତଳକୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇଦେଲେ।
But the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.
26 ପରେ ସେ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରକୁ ଯାଇ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଶିବାକୁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରୁଥିଲେ; ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଯେ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ୟ, ଏହା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ନ କରି ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରୁଥିଲେ।
And when he was come to Jerusalem, he attempted to associate with the disciples; but they feared him, not believing that he was a disciple.
27 କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣବ୍ବା ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସଙ୍ଗରେ ଘେନି ପ୍ରେରିତମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ବାଟରେ ସେ କିପରି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଥିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥା କହିଥିଲେ, ଆଉ କିପ୍ରକାରେ ସେ ଦମ୍ମେଶକରେ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ସାହସପୂର୍ବକ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିଥିଲେ, ଏହିସବୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କଲେ।
But Barnabas, taking him, brought him to the Apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord in the way; and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly, at Damascus, in the name of Jesus.
28 ଆଉ, ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯିରୂଶାଲମ ସହରରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରି,
And he was with them, coming in, and going out, at Jerusalem; and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus.
29 ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ନାମ ସାହସପୂର୍ବକ ପ୍ରଚାର କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ, ପୁଣି, ସେ ଗ୍ରୀକ୍ ଭାଷାବାଦୀ ଯିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଓ ତର୍କବିତର୍କ କରୁଥିଲେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ବଧ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And he spoke, and disputed with the Hellenists; but they attempted to kill him:
30 ତାହା ଜାଣି ପାରି ଭାଇମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କାଇସରିୟାକୁ ଘେନିଯାଇ ତାର୍ଷକୁ ପଠାଇଦେଲେ।
and the brethren, being informed of it, conducted him to Cesarea, and sent him away to Tarsus.
31 ଏହି ପ୍ରକାରେ ସମୁଦାୟ ଯିହୂଦିୟା ପ୍ରଦେଶ, ଗାଲିଲୀ ଓ ଶମିରୋଣ ମଣ୍ଡଳୀ ନିଷ୍ଠାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଓ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଭୟରେ ଆଚରଣ କରି ଶାନ୍ତି ଭୋଗ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ପବିତ୍ର ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସାହାଯ୍ୟରେ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
Then the congregations though all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, being edified, had rest; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the admonition of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.
32 ଇତିମଧ୍ୟରେ ପିତର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଭ୍ରମଣ କରୁ କରୁ ଲୂଦ ନଗରବାସୀ ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆସିଲେ।
Now it came to pass, that Peter, making a tour through all the congregations, came also to the saints that dwelt at Lydda.
33 ସେ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ସେ ଏନୀୟ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଲୋକଙ୍କର ଦେଖାପାଇଲେ, ସେ ଆଠ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଶଯ୍ୟାଶାୟୀ ଥିଲେ; ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପକ୍ଷାଘାତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
And he found there a certain man, whose name was Eneas, who has a palsy, and had kept his bed eight years.
34 ପିତର ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଏନୀୟ, ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସୁସ୍ଥ କରୁଅଛନ୍ତି; ଉଠ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶେଯ ସଜାଡ଼। ସେଥିରେ ସେ ସେହିକ୍ଷଣି ଉଠିଲେ।
And Peter said to him, Eneas, Jesus, the Messiah, heals you; arise, and make your bed. And he arose immediately.
35 ଆଉ, ଲୂଦ ଓ ଶାରୋଣନିବାସୀ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଫେରିଲେ।
And all the inhabitants of Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
36 ଯାଫୋ ସହରରେ ଟାବୀଥା ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଶିଷ୍ୟା ଥିଲେ, ଅନୁବାଦ କଲେ ଏହି ନାମର ଅର୍ଥ ଦର୍କା। ସେ ନାନା ସତ୍କର୍ମ ଓ ଦାନ-କ୍ରିୟାରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଥିଲେ।
And there was at Joppa, a certain female disciple, named Tabitha, who, by interpretation, is called Dorcas; and she was full of good works, and alm-deeds, which she did.
37 ସେହି ସମୟରେ ସେ ପୀଡ଼ିତା ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କଲେ, ସେଥିରେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ନାନ କରାଇ ଗୋଟିଏ ଉପର କୋଠରୀରେ ଶୁଆଇଦେଲେ।
And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died. And when they had washed her, they laid her in an upper chamber.
38 ପୁଣି, ଲୂଦ ଯାଫୋ ସହରର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଥିବାରୁ ଶିଷ୍ୟମାନେ ପିତର ସେଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ବୋଲି ଶୁଣି, ଦୁଇ ଜଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ପଠାଇ ଏହା ନିବେଦନ କଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବା ପାଇଁ ବିଳମ୍ବ କରନ୍ତୁ ନାହିଁ।
And as Lydda was near to Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, entreating him that he would not delay to come to them.
39 ଏଣୁ ପିତର ଉଠି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଗଲେ। ସେ ଆସନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ସେହି ଉପର କୋଠରୀକୁ ଘେନିଗଲେ, ଆଉ ବିଧବାମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଘେରି ବିଳାପ କରୁ କରୁ, ଦର୍କା ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସାଙ୍ଗରେ ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଯେଉଁ ସବୁ ଅଙ୍ଗରଖା ଓ ବସ୍ତ୍ରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ବୁଣିଥିଲେ, ସେହିସବୁ ଦେଖାଇବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।
And Peter arose, and went with them. And when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber; and all the widows stood by him weeping; and showing the coats and mantles, which Dorcas made, while she was with them.
40 କିନ୍ତୁ, ପିତର ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ବାହାର କରିଦେଇ ଆଣ୍ଠୁ ମାଡ଼ି ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଶବ ଆଡ଼କୁ ବୁଲିପଡ଼ି କହିଲେ, ଟାବୀଥା, ଉଠ। ସେଥିରେ ସେ ଆଖି ମେଲା କଲେ, ଆଉ ପିତରକୁ ଦେଖି ଉଠି ବସିଲେ।
And Peter putting them all out, kneeled down, and prayed; and turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, arise! And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, sat up.
41 ପୁଣି, ସେ ହାତ ଦେଇ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇଲେ ଏବଂ ସାଧୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ବିଧବାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜୀବିତ ଦେଖାଇଲେ।
And giving her his hand, he raised her up; and having called the saints and widows, he presented her alive.
42 ଏହି କଥା ଯାଫୋ ସହରର ସବୁଆଡ଼େ ଜଣାପଡ଼ିଲା ଓ ଅନେକେ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କଲେ।
And this was known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
43 ପୁଣି, ପିତର ଅନେକ ଦିନ ଯାଫୋ ସହରରେ ଶିମୋନ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଚର୍ମକାରକ ସହିତ ବାସ କଲେ।
And he continued many days at Joppa, in the house of one Simon, a tanner.
